Ukraine to sign cooperation memorandum with NATO

Ukraine Today reports on the latest development in the relationship between the Kiev regime and the Western military machine.

Ukraine looks to be making its next steps towards closer intergration with NATO, with the country’s prime minister saying that the government is set to sign two agreements on military cooperation with the US-led alliance.

Arseniy Yatseniuk, Ukrainian Prime Minister:

“The government has signed an agreement with NATO on cooperation in supportive measures. This agreement on support between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and NATO, provides for implementation of 4 tranches of projects with NATO…This includes cooperation in the matters of consultations, management, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.”

Yatsenyuk has also underlined the importance of Ukraine developing its armed forces based on NATO standards. That came as representatives from Ukraine’s arms industry said that alongisde NATO officials they had drawn up a roadmap toward bringing Ukraine’s defenses in to line with the military alliance’s requirements by 2018.
