WWII Veterans in Kiev ready to fight if not allowed to march on 9th May

Ukrainian veterans say they are ready to fight again if they are not allowed to march on Khreschatyk Street [in central Kiev] on Victory Day. So informed the correspondent of “PolitNavigatora” covering a Kiev press conference held on the theme “The May 9 Victory without symbols. “Parliament took away the veterans’ right to memory”, a veteran soldier, retired colonel Dmitry Stadnyuk, said. “We will never agree with the fact that we are not allowed to celebrate May 9, stressed the soldier. We are going to to march openly downtown. And let them try to shoot at us. We are not afraid. We will fight, if it comes to that. “
