VIDEO: War, US Government Corporate Propaganda, The CIA And The Russian "Putin Threat"

Mark Crispin Miller who is Professor of Media, Culture and Communication at New York University talks about US government propaganda, the corporate media, the CIA and the Russian “Putin” threat. Miller also discusses how the corporate media tried to get him fired using a NYU graduate student working for VICE owned by Rupert Murdock. He also looks at the role of the CIA and the US government in their organized effort to demonize Putin and Russia and create a US population hysteria similar to the 1950s. This interview was done during the Project Censored 40th anniversary at Sonoma State University on October 22, 2016 by Pacifica KPFA WorkWeek host Steve Zeltzer. By all means, Look closely at the JFK assassination. That was not a small event. But if you’re selling me the myth of Camelot, expect me to have a lot to say about that. http://bit.ly/1mTMIF2
Thanks Steve and Mark for an interesting and productive discussion.

I don’t like the phrase ‘annexed’, which Mark uses, although he used it by, essentially, qualifying it, which is more than you get elsewhere. He said Crimea wasn’t ‘seized’ but rather, it was ‘annexed’. We all know the basic meaning of annex. But what does it mean in politics?

It’s interesting to compare and contrast Miller’s views, the America he describes, especially in relation to propaganda, the media and democracy, with Chomsky’s, who seems far more sanguine. Miller, for example, doesn’t tell people to vote Democrat and support Clinton as the lesser, or other, evil.

Saw Prof. Miller on a superb CrossTalk today

along with Bruce Fein and Don Debar. I don’t think I have seen them on RT before, more and more US academics/experts seem to be daring to make the leap and I think they are desperate and even scared (of the direction the US may be headed if not stopped). This program pulls together all the elements of the current debacle that is the USA and everything they say applies equally to the UK except of course that we don’t need the election fraud bit as our system makes sure that UKIP get 1 seat (3.9 million votes) while the SNP get 56 seats (1.5 million votes), the Liberals get 8 seats (2.4 million votes) and even the SDLP get 3 seats with less than 100k votes

Try getting into some commenting on RT and see how it goes. If you are careful, and (are, or) willing to appear fake progressive, you may be okay. But go ahead, toss in a goodly number of comments and return here to tell us how it went. Because, In a very short period of time, I was getting comments disappeared in their new and improved commenting system, now owned by a couple of Israelis named Nadav Shoval and Ishay Green (Spot.IM). As for Democracy Now; They’ve completely lost me. The pro White Helmets piece stank.
