The 2016 'October Surprise'…a brief codicil

A brief codicil to Bryan Kinnear’s article on Clinton’s e-mail, Wikileaks and the imminent Presidential Election

Codicil to Act 1

So thats it? Comey has closed down the investigation to a relieved chorus of “its dealt with” from the HRC camp. Well I’m inclined to agree with Trump – you can’t review 650,000 emails in eight days. Not when it took twelve months to review the initial 33,000 emails. Maths isn’t my strong point but at 5secs an email, it would take 37 days just to read them.
So the FBI team (of 650,000 I presume) have just put in a mammoth red-eye shift to review; collate; cross-reference; chase down leads and report – and this has all been entered into a central database which has come up with nothing – not even a parking violation? In one of the most overcriminalised societies on the planet – where you can’t even leave your house without committing a misdemeanour?
So who oversaw this remarkable feat of social engineering – sorry criminal investigation? Deputy Director Andrew McCabe – the one who’s wife benefited from a ‘campaign donation’ from a Clinton ally. Conflict of interest or conspiracy to defraud? [i]
So the DoJ and the top tier of the FBI are compromised and politicised – there can be little doubt of that now. That leaves the grass roots of the FBI who see Hillary as “the Antichrist personified” [ii] – and the still open investigation by the NYPD. I suspect that Julian Assange is going to be busy over the next few days – he’s got 650,000 new emails to read.
The results are in – no, sorry, that was last week – the fix is in – meanwhile, the shitshow moves on to polling day.

Codicil 2

Jenifer Palmieri – Clinton campaign spokeswoman – “Friends, please remember that if you see a whopper of a Wikileaks in next two days – it’s probably a fake.” The Russians did it! [iii]

I apologise for dealing with a serious subject in an off the cuff way – but apart from ‘dropping the dupes’ ‘hashing the rest’ and reading the much reduced cache in a few hours tops – my point is that the result was to find absolutely no actionable intelligence in 650,000 emails?
I’m still not convinced – revewing the raw data is only the start of the process – not the entirety of it. If you can read and review 650,000 emails in a day (for the sake of argument) – how come the original investigation of 30,000 emails took a year?
Another point is that reviewing the emails would produce new threads – the original cache of 30,000 became 44,900 – so thats two days of investigation and 363 days of holiday for the original team?
Other than the geeks who have weighed in to make this seem plausible – Wikileaks – who do this for a living – maintain that this cache would indeed have to be hand read – as Clinton uses pseudonyms and proxies (not all known.)
Consider as well that no known search algorythm or AI can account for all the subtleties of the english language – and if you compartmentalise the work for speed – wheres the overview?

For the time being I stand by my conjecture that this is a politicised exoneration of HRC by a compromised DoJ/FBI – who do not appear to have thoroughly done the work.
Only time will tell if Wikileaks come into possession of any of these emails if they are all junk or not.

Just another sideshow to keep us rubes entertained while the Wall Street pickpockets nick what little cash we have left.
When the Wicked Witch of the East steals the WH and takes office, she’ll appoint a stooge to be FBI head who will do a thorough house-cleaning, ridding the bureau of those agents who actually took their oath of office seriously.

Interesting little conspiracy theory on this. If Trump wins Obama could have shut down the whole thing by granting an exective pardon to Hillary if the FBI had declared there were criminal charges to face.
Bill Clinton ‘cleared’ a criminal called Marc Rich in such a manner days before leaving office.
With no charges on the way the door is open for Trump to pick up this issue via some other agency if he takes office. Here’s hoping.

The idea that your ignorance is proof of someone else’s malfeasance is hilarious. Any freshman CompSci, Engineering or Math undergraduate could have explained it for you, if you had just bothered to ask. If “facts really should be sacred” you should be fired, because you didn’t even attempt to find a fact before you farted out your witless and uninformed opinion. The pertinent question is why didn’t Comey wait a few hours for his facts before writing his disruptive letter to Congress? This exercise in scanning, comparing and classifying a few hundred thousand emails couldn’t have taken more than a day, tops. His intervention in the political process is what requires investigation.

Tubularsock believes that if it took the Russians all that time to write all those emails then the least the FBI could have done was read them. If for no other reason, professional courtesy!
The world today has lost so many basic respectful traditions among professionals.
Tubularsock has learned that on top of everything else the NSA has suspended the FSB’s subscription to NSA TODAY magazine! Is nothing sacred anymore?
