VIDEO: How May will finish off the NHS

Needs no explanation or development. Whatever you think of Corbyn or Labour and their manifold shortcomings on foreign policy etc, if you want to keep universal healthcare free at the point of delivery, don’t vote for May

Social care? The last of the suction of wealth from the body politic. An overnight social revolution that has taken over 200 years. Enclosure Acts removed land from common ownership; social wealth accumulated over generations which culminated in a social democratic society where basic needs were in the hands of the people, managed in trust by the Government. Once Thatcher/Reagan and Clinton/Blair neoliberalism has seen the transfer of wealth through public utilities, transport, energy and housing. The welfare system is systematically being privatised. And now care. £100,000 now has to pay for your care, and your pension (the end of final salary pensions now mean that your pension pot will form part of the asset base to be taken in to account when your care costs are calculated), and inheritance to your family. What incentives are there to invest in your future? An end to the ‘bank of Mum and Dad’?
Most social care (following systematic cuts to LA funding) has seen care companies being taken over by large offshore Health Companies (predominantly US). Through the miracles of modern accounting systems, such companies manage to extract wealth which is lodged in places such as the Cayman Islands. The national wealth locked in housing is now up for grabs. I comfortably predict that should the Tories get into power and enact this, then social care costs will rocket -in the same way that energy/transport costs have rocketed when shareholder interests outweigh the punter’s interests, pricing gouging is rampant..
We need to take back the commons we need to restore social wealth, which is controlled by the people, not by a set of non-accountable wealth extractors, protected behind arcane accounting laws and practices. This grab of social assets by the Tory Party must be resisted.

This from The Spectator:
“…Many of the problems that have brought the NHS to its knees — such as private finance initiatives which have left hospitals saddled with extraordinary levels of debt — were introduced by Labour. The introduction of the internal market and foundation trusts paved the way for hospitals being businesses in themselves, but with no clear plan for what would happen if they failed.”
I’m not convinced that voting Labour will help resolve the NHS crisis. Surely it’s obvious to all but the brain dead that both main political parties haven’t had a clue how to sort out the NHS – they just blame each other, year in and year out. Enough already with that tired game.
The idea of a Royal Commission, mentioned in The Spectator article, sounds good to me.

There’s only one problem with the NHS -it’s underfunded. Since its inception it has been opposed by the elites, who had representatives in both parties, and who have been sponsored to undermine it for many decades. May is planning the final blow now, and if she is elected the NHS will cease to exist. Labour aren’t perfect, but they offer some guarantees we will continue to get universal healthcare free at the point of delivery. Under the Tories this will very likely vanish once and for all. Voting Labour is the only option for anyone who isn’t a billionaire.

Just to add this 1 hour Peter Bach documentary ‘Sell Off’, which covers the history of the long policy to covertly privatize the NHS by successive governments. http://selloff.org.uk/nhs/default.html
Posting this I am once again reminded of the term Tariq Ali coined “extreme centre”.
Dr Bob Gill has been crowd funding to make a follow up documentary…

There is no choice but vote Labour and get ready to fight vigorously to defend the policies if elected… this is the fight of decades and if we don’t push back UK will become a neo feudal society subservient to transnational corporations, banks and Oligarch/wealthy Rentiers.
A side note, Check Craig Murray’s twitter feed for a re tweet with attachment by a Manda Scott regarding alleged collusion between Tory government and insurance industry on the dubbed ‘dementia tax’ property grab in the Tory manifesto. Contains info from an apparent City of London leaker.
I can’t link or copy (protected mode) and have no idea how to do screen grabs I’m afraid.
Here are selected tasters quoted from the tweet (unattributed) attachment:-
“I work in the City. The Insurance industry was approached by the Government several months ago with the aim of creating a new market for a new product.”…
“Boils down to you not having to sell your house if you purchase an insurance product to cover your social care. The company would have a lien on the house and can force a sale so stopping relatives keeping it on the market for better price.”…
“The real kicker is that in order to encourage the industry to market these products the government guaranteed that their would be no cap on the premiums.”…
“This means that the premiums could be up to (and including) the entire remaining equity in the property after the government has taken its cut.”
“In short your offspring and relatives could get absolutely nothing from your estate.”
Hope it’s alright to highlight this Offg? It’s all I can find at this time. There is no attribution for the clip or indication where it originated on Manda Scott@hare_wood feed that I can see. All the links on tagged tweets go back to her own tweets. I am having problems with both Facebook and twitter. I don’t have accounts in either and my access now appears to be being limited including inability to scroll down twitter pages.

Evil incarnate, best describes neo conservatives all around the world.
Their psychopathic policies make the Spanish Inquisition look like the Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
Loved Jeremy Corbyn’s speech at Bradford University, where he promised among other things, to make sure every British child had the opportunity to learn a musical instrument.

It’s a no brainer, May offers what – a break with Thatcherism??? This is how cynical the Tories have become. They still reverie Thatcher, but offer this instead of a proper manifesto to dupe the spongebobs in the electorate…
Excellent video.
