Green Zone Amerika – The Phony Electoral Scam

Phillip Farruggio

After our nation illegally/immorally invaded and destroyed much of Iraq, we set up a mega city for our new embassy. The Bush gang named it ‘The Green Zone’, a fortified city in itself. The invaders/occupiers were able to keep most of the angry insurgents away from it, as our corporate predators made a meal out of the reconstruction of a once vibrant and economically solvent sovereign nation. Forget about the fact that we got rid of Saddam Hussein, as he was just another one in the long line of gangster thugs that our empire placed in power years earlier.

Well, this Two Party/One Party empire has succeeded in their plans for my beloved country. They created, over the span of decades, a Feudal Green Zone for their plunder and pillage. Yes, Lincoln may have freed the slaves, but he or no other leader we have had was willing or able to free the serfs. Our embedded politicians from both parties, with the aid of the embedded mainstream media, have made sure of that. We have a class of super rich that have even outshined those of the infamous Gilded Age (1870- 90) when the serfs had to scramble to stay afloat.

Right to work laws and restrictions on collective bargaining, among other actions, have destroyed the union movement so much that only less than 15% of private sector workers belong to a union. Our military spending has risen since the (so called) end of the Cold War, to over 50% of our federal tax revenue. Translated:

    When Will American Labor ‘Connect the Dots’?

  • No decent money for viable National Health Care devoid of the predatory private insurance industry; No decent money for real infrastructure upgrades;
  • No decent money for a better ‘safety net’ for all of us (Look how many mentally ill Americans are no longer in safe facilities and on our streets as homeless beggars);
  • No decent spending increases for our public education system: No viable and complete public spending on electoral politics, to get ALL private money OUT;
  • No decent money spent for public banking and community owned and operated residential and commercial ‘Non Profit’ rental property (to compete with and break the corporate predatory rental industry)… need I go on?

Instead, we have my fellow Americans fighting over this phony electoral scam… each and every election cycle. Yes, this writer knows that the Far Right Wing AKA Republicans are the ‘evil of two lessers’ and more obvious in their wrath. Yet, look at my ideals in the paragraph above this one, and ask yourself: ‘Will the Democrats support them?’

The sad answer is that they, the Right Wing party, will not! So, each election cycle will bring out the anger and frustration of my fellow serfs… and the empire will keep churning along. Yes, because this new ‘Trump led’ Far Right Wing is completely ‘off the reservation’ so much, that, with the cards we have been dealt, many of us may have no choice but to vote for the lesser evil to stop the momentum… but the bleeding will still continue until more serfs say ‘No More’ ! Just one man’s honest analysis.

May I humbly suggest a place to start is to look at The Corbett Report run by James Corbett. At the heart of our economic system lie the central banks which issue “fiat” currencies and we all know very little about their role. Here James takes us thru’ the history of the US Federal Reserve Bank which is the major example for every other country that issues its own currency. He really explains the central issues very clearly, despite all the huge figures!

It is truly eye opening to see how much happens that we simply have no idea about.

There’s also an interesting presentation about real UK financial history since the ’50’s called The Spider’s Web:

The US and UK political centre is now clearly in fascist territory according to the classical definition of fascism: the unholy alliance of the State and Corporations.

These entities also own the MSM. Sanders and Corbyn don’t stand a chance.

The treatment of Jeremy Corbyn is a text book example of how the entire rotten apparatus works once threats are preceived by those who own and control economic discourse.

Now this post is not an attempt to analyse how far Corbyn does or doesn’t live up to the expectations of genuine socialists but rather a reflection on the way the neoliberal establishment discredits or marginalises any political figure who deviates from an orthodoxy set up to bleed the many in order to enrich the few.

Standard techniques include character assassination (Corbyn the spy, Corbyn the terrorist sympathiser, Corbyn the anti-semite, etc) the promotion of false fears (Britains economy will suffer unless it is run by the Bullingdon club) and class division (the feckless poor making unreasonable demands for benefits, housing or health care, etc).

Of course the main instrument protecting the status quo is the MSM and in Britain even once supposedly left of centre platforms like the Guardian have become part of the neoliberal machine with endless articles rationalising mass-murder in the Middle East, or nearer to home demonising any politician left of swivel-eyed fruitcakes like Margaret Hodge – the Guardian has been especially egregious in its campaign to smear Corbyn and those around him as racist.

The US is even worse and seems to have no end of cultural commentators like Ben Shapiro who expend huge amounts of energey defending a violent and iniquitous model of government that harms not just millions of Americans, but people all over the world.

It doesn’t take a lot of digging to realise the poor are being fucked over and since the birth of the internet, especially with sites like off-Guardian there are now fewer excuses for more people not wake up to this fact.

The metaphor I have for our wretched media system is that what appears to be the opinion of the majority is anything but. It’s just that about 0.001% of the population have access to vast nuclear powered megaphones and the rest can only whisper.

If you would pardon my intrusion, the main instrument for protecting the status quo is the home owner. Less and less people take much notice of msm, but the home owner can always be relied upon to maintain the status quo. Look at Brexit, people should have been delighted when house prices were predicted to drop by as much as 30% in the event of no deal. Were the very people concerned about their “children’s future after Brexit” happy….very much not.

Unfortunately for us Corbyn I too soft. If any opponent said you’ll rank our economy if instantly hit them with the but the money I’m using is the money used to bomb democracy into foreigners but he won’t! It’s too easy to debate and defeat these people yet he can’t! Fuck that

“It’s too easy to debate and defeat these people ” – the near complete lack of plurality across many of our political systems (offering little more than varying shades of neoliberalism) suggests otherwise.

If its easy to defeat these people why so few socialists in positions of power despite the large groundswell of support for left wing policies?

“especially with sites like off-Guardian there are now fewer excuses for more people not wake up to this fact.”

“More people” don’t read sites like these, if they read at all. That’s the problem: sites like these are preaching to the choir.

It doesn’t help that search engines don’t show results from sites like these either.

Google will ‘de-rank’ RT articles to make them harder to find – Eric Schmidt

The above article surprised me. Even if I enter the entire title of an rt article the rt article doesn’t show up in the results. I generally use duckduckgo but it’s just as bad, at least they don’t track you, or so they claim.

And it doesn’t help that the entire internet is being purged of alternative opinions.

Yes, I accept that – Off-G is, to a large extent, an echo chamber, a very well-informed echo chamber, but an echo chamber none the less.

Even so, that wasn’t really my point.
I agree that there are sinister moves to marginalise media platforms that either deviate from the neoliberal narrative, or provide space for a range of opinions no matter how controversial, or upsetting those those opinions might be (i.e. they regard free-speech as more than the type of meaningless soundbite heavily censorious outfits like the Guardian prefer) even so, access to commentary is still a million times easier and more varied compared to the pre-internet era.

It might be that is slightly harder to find certain stuff, while censorship is becoming an ever greater threat but even allowing for this anyone with half a brain can usually circumvent these inconveniences providing they have the motivation to do so.

It is simply not good enough to say I am politically illiterate and the reason for it is Mark Zuckerberg, or some other corporate leech placing their own business interests ahead of truth or fairness.

I just wish there was more of us – perversely if there was the market would be more likely to provide – the market doesn’t give a shit about ethics, the market is only concerned with profit and as we all know there is not much profit in a relatively small group of people doing their best to discuss or explain why political events are hurtling toward a very dangerous period in our history.

In any consideration of voting, what exactly are we hoping to accomplish by doing so? If we are to assume that our vote makes a difference. What difference exactly? Are we simply attempting to help balance a blundering dolt? There is one hell of a show being put on by this one political entity to keep us involved. We know they lie. They know we’re serfs.
Right behind the smoke, mirrors and shrieking faces is a behemoth plundering the planet and it’s people for profit. We know this also. The School of the Americas is still open, now under a different name. So…there will be more rape, mutilation and plunder. Is our vote concerned with that? Saudi beheadings and crucifixions happen simultaneously with Democrats begging and crying for ‘their’ women’s rights. Is our vote concerned with that? How could it be? It is not an option on the ballot.

When we vote, do we first sit down and consider the meaning of the words hypocrisy and psychopathy? Are these words relevant to those for whom we vote? We know they are. I can still remember when the lesser of two evils was not a concept taken so subserviently.
There may be a deeper reason why cannibalism is not illegal, as I think of politicians as cannibals. They devour our soul. They accomplish this when we vote. When we vote, we stuff our values in our own mouth the way they teach us to stuff the severed genitals of our captives in their mouths after torture. Voting is the melding of political psychopathy with our own hypocrisy. It is the ritual they so enjoy. The pleasure of twisting our minds is like a living human sacrifice to them. A burnt offering. The sacrificial coals are being stoked at this very moment. Soon, the grand feast will begin.
First, they want us writhing in anticipatory psychological agony which marinates us in emotion to bring out our full flavor. As they savor our hatred of them, they draw in our strength. We are then basted in a secret hopelessness sauce and ready for the grill. The bloat of our false hope will drip upon the coals and ignite the flames- reminding them of home. After the vote is in, our fractured psyches will release the energy upon which they thrive. Politicians now belch in contentment, yet the real feast is yet to begun……. War. They drool, thinking of the next country upon which they will rain democracy. CNN will loudly announce the war plans and time of arrival. This will give the politicians time to inhale all the stress and emotion of the target people as they scramble helplessly to protect family. The dark heart of the political body will then exhale fire and brimstone. What a power we have validated. What a horror we have condoned. What a price we will pay. Is our vote concerned with that?

Don’t you mean “left” (as in scare quotes)?
