The Fetishization of the Corporate Media

CJ Hopkins

So the corporate media have gone and done it again. As they have, repeatedly, for the last two and half years, they shook the earth with a “bombshell” story proving beyond any reasonable doubt that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the presidency from Hillary Clinton, or at least committed an impeachable felony in connection with something to do with the Russians, or Ukrainians, or other Slavic persons … which story turned out to be inaccurate, or not entirely accurate, or a bunch of horseshit.

This time it was BuzzFeed’s Jason Leopold, “a reporter with a checkered past” (i.e., a history of inventing his sources) who broke the “bombshell” Russiagate story that turned out to be a bunch of horseshit. Leopold, and his colleague Anthony Cormier, reported that Trump had directed his attorney, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress about plans to construct a Trump Tower in Moscow, thus suborning perjury and obstructing justice. Their sources for this “bombshell” story were allegedly “two federal law enforcement officials involved in an investigation of the matter.”

Approximately twenty-four hours later, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office (i.e., the office “involved in an investigation of the matter”) stated that the BuzzFeed story was “not accurate,” which is a legal term meaning “a bunch of horseshit.” BuzzFeed is standing by its story, and is working to determine what, exactly, Mueller’s office meant by “not accurate.” Ben Smith, BuzzFeed’s Editor-in-Chief, has called on Mueller “to make clear what he’s disputing.”

Liberals and other Trump-obsessives have joined in the effort to interpret the Special Counsel’s office’s cryptic utterance. French hermeneuticists have been reportedly called in to deconstruct the meaning of “accurate.” Professional Twitter semioticians are explaining that “not accurate” doesn’t mean “wrong,” but, rather, refers to something that is “accurate,” but which the user of the word doesn’t want to disclose publicly, or that legal terms don’t mean what they mean … or something more or less along those lines.

Glenn Greenwald, in August 2018, reporting on another “bombshell” story that turned out to be a bunch of horseshit, compiled a partial list of Russiagate stories that the corporate media had published and promoted over the course of the previous eighteen months which turned out to be a bunch of horseshit (i.e., the stories did, not Greenwald’s list). In the wake of this latest horseshit story, Greenwald revised and renamed this list “The 10 Worst, Most Embarrassing U.S. Media Failures on the Trump/Russia Story.”

But Greenwald’s list is just a small sample of the Russiagate stories that have turned out to be horseshit. For the record, here are several more:

  • “Seventeen intelligence agencies” confirm Russia interfered in the U.S. elections (New York Times)
  • Russia interfered in the Brexit referendum (The Guardian)
  • Russia interfered in the German elections (Reuters)
  • Russia hacked the French elections (Politico and numerous other outlets)
  • Michael Cohen conspired with the Russians in Prague (BuzzFeed)

My personal favorite remains the one about how Hillary Clinton may have been poisoned by Putinist operatives back in 2016. And then there’s the pot-smoking, prostitute-banging, incompetent Novichok perfume assassins, the African American-brainwashing memes, the Putin-orchestrated Yellow Vest rebellion, the brain-eating Russian-Cubano crickets, and various other bunches of horseshit.

I am using the terms “horseshit” and “a bunch of horseshit” (as opposed to terms like “failures” and “errors”), not just to be gratuitously vulgar, but, also, to try to make a point. One is not supposed to use these terms in connection with “serious,” “respected” news outlets. Which is why journalists like Greenwald and Aaron Maté (who have extensively reported on the corporate media’s ongoing production and dissemination of horseshit) do not use such terms in the course of their reporting, and instead use less inflammatory terms like “false,” “inaccurate,” “mistake,” and “error.” Principled journalists like Greenwald and Maté are constrained by (a) their journalistic ethics, (b) their integrity, and (c) their belief in the idea of a “free and independent press,” which is one of the pillars of Western democracy.

Being neither a respected journalist nor a believer in the existence of an “independent press,” I am under no such constraints. Because I’m not trying to get or keep a job, or maintain a “respectable” reputation, I’m free to call a spade a spade and a bunch of horseshit a bunch of horseshit. I am also free to describe “journalists” like Leopold, Luke Harding, Craig Timberg, Franklin Foer, and many of their corporate media colleagues (not to mention TV clowns like Rachel Maddow) as the liars and rank propagandists they are. I don’t need to pretend their fabricated stories are simply the result of “shoddy journalism,” or “over-reliance on official sources,” or any other type of “error” or “failure.” These people know exactly what they are doing, and are being extremely well paid to do it. They went to school to learn how to do it. Then they butt-sucked and back-stabbed their way up the ladder of establishment power to be able to do it.

Yes, of course, there are still principled journalists working for the corporate media, but they are doing so by walking a very fine line. No one has to tell them where it is. Every professional journalist knows precisely where it is, and what it is there for. Though they are permitted to walk right up to it, occasionally (to keep them from feeling like abject whores), one step over it and they will be cast into the Outer Darkness of the Blogosphere and excommunicated from the Church of Respectable Journalism. If you don’t believe me, just ask Seymour Hersh, or John Pilger, or any other journalistic heretic.

If Russiagate serves no other useful purpose, it is at least exposing the corporate media as the propaganda factories that they are. Given the amount of obviously fabricated horseshit they have disseminated during the last two years, you’d have to be a total moron or a diehard neoliberal cultist not to recognize the function they perform within the global capitalist ruling establishment (which is essentially no different than the function the establishment media perform in any other society, namely, to disseminate, maintain, and reify the official narrative of its ruling classes).

Sadly, there’s no shortage of morons and cultists. I don’t blame the morons, because … well, they’re morons. The cultists are another species entirely. These are people who, no matter how often the corporate media feed them another “explosive,” “bombshell” Russiagate story that turns out to be a bunch of horseshit, will defend the concept of the “independent media” like head-shaven, bug-eyed Manson followers. Confront them with facts contradicting their beliefs and they close their eyes and start chanting and humming and repetitiously babbling banishing spells. The notion that the Western corporate media may serve the interests of the ruling establishment (just like the media in every other society serve that society’s ruling classes) is unimaginable and tantamount to heresy.

This fetishization of “the independent press” is a phenomenon unique to Western capitalism. Basically, it’s a childish fairy tale, like believing that Santa Claus is an actual person or that voting in elections in a corporate oligarchy has anything to do with actual democracy. Think about it dispassionately for a minute. Why would any ruling establishment permit a genuinely “independent” press to disseminate ideas and information willy-nilly throughout society? If it did, it wouldn’t last very long.

Most people understand this intuitively, which is why the corporate media relentlessly repeat the mantra-like phrase, “free and independent press,” over, and over, and over again. Seriously, switch on NPR, or have a look at The Guardian or the Washington Post, or any of the other corporate media repeatedly reminding you how “independent,” “free” and “democratic” they are. It’s essentially Neuro-linguistic programming.

So let’s not be shocked when the corporate media continue to bombard us with “bombshell” stories about Trump and Russia that turn out to be horseshit. Personally, I welcome these stories. The more corporate media horseshit the better! Who knows, if they dish out enough blatant horseshit, more people might lose their “trust in the media,” and begin to investigate matters themselves. I know, that makes me a Nazi, right? Or at least a Russian propagandist? I mean, encouraging folks to distrust the corporate media? Isn’t there some kind of law against that? Or have they not quite gotten around to that yet?

CJ: Reggie, have you read this namby pamby socialist claptrap being spouted by a New York Woman?

Perrin: Err, no CJ, American politics has been known to make me dangerous to Elizabeth’s health, so I try to ignore it as much as possible…

CJ: A 28 year old who thinks she knows how to save the world, Reggie. I didn’t get where I am today thinking I could save the world at 28!!

Perrin: Err, no CJ. Socialism in America! A bit like Mrs CJ thinking my son-in-law Tom could be Prime Minister…I’ll be a multimillionaire and Sunshine Desserts will go bust before that happened, eh?

CJ: Bad enough me having to hire sycophantic prats like Tony Webster, Reggie. Yes man spending too much time eyeing up the young ladies in the firm. I didn’t get where I am today eyeing up young ladies in the firm, Reggie!

Perrin: No CJ, Joan has remarked at your prim and proper demeanour every time she comes to your office. Did you say a 28 year old WOMAN thinks she can save the world in America?

CJ: Yes, a Puerto Rican catholic, Reggie. Never trust Puerto Rican women Reggie, they have opinions and answer back! Sunshine Desserts will never hire a 28 year old woman who answers back while I am CEO…

Perrin: No I can see that CJ. Tell me CJ, just how does this female reincarnation of Jesus think she is going to save the world?

CJ: well for a start, she is going to stop me driving a Jaguar. Got to use one of those battery jobs instead. Then she says we all have to stop using central heating and insulate our houses properly instead. I didn’t get where I am today switching off the central heating!!

Perrin: Gracious, for a moment I thought she was going to declare friendship with Cuba, Nicaragua and Bolivia!

CJ: I tell you Reggie, time to emigrate somewhere with proper standards if that ever came here!

Perrin: Russia, CJ?

CJ: What is the world coming to when Russia is full of real men and America becomes infested with namby pamby socialists?! I didn’t get where I am today worrying about namby pamby socialist women getting to run America!!

Perrin: no CJ. I do not see any namby pamby socialists getting anywhere in Sunshine Desserts anywhere soon. By the way, have we started entering a slight wobble?

My journey of fetishization began at uni with the NYT (all the news fit to print) and led to the New Yorker for more in-depth reporting (and endorsement of fake left candidates), then the BBC for an international (British empire) perspective, the Guardian for a fake left viewpoint and for now I am enthralled with non-corporate Off-G and a satirist from the Consent Factory(5 stars BTW for his analysis on my fetishization illness). I’m exhausted so please just tell me what to think.

CJ if I may suggest, we need a new name for the toxic NWO/FUKUS/MIC/Global Robber Barons and their collective,

How about ‘Rupert’ ?

In memory of Dennis Potter.

Just like a metastizing cancer that it is, Rupert (the anti-Paddington), with his big ears (and 5-eyes) is intent on turning every bear into his own supreme being.

Just like a cancer cell would never vote to put itself into chemo/radio therapy for the survival of all the ‘normal’ cells, Rupert is never going to do the decent thing.

It’s time to gather the teddybears and get them to pick up their pitchforks to go an rip Rupert and Big Ears to pieces before they destroy all the woods.

The Integrity Initiative docs keep coming.
We now have documented evidence linking the conspiracy back to Israel.
Seeing as the I.I. is deeply concerned with creating and promoting Russiagate horsehit, is it relevant to ask, ‘what of Putin’s relationship with Jerusalem / Tel Aviv ‘ ?
Is this anything to anyone here ?

Where is truth in a world of lies?
Or where can the truth be seen in a masking presentation of identity conflict?

The fact of the resort to open deceit is hardly a sign of power – excepting in our addiction to such deceits for the maintaining of our identity investment against dis-comfort or pain of loss.

The ‘mind-capture’ aspect of so called post-truth politics – including technocratic globalism – is generally attributed to the masses. It is always others who are subject to mind-control while I – I can see it – and so I am exceptional…

My take is not to be baited into reaction in kind – but to step back and look at the nature of deceit – as a way into looking at the mind in act – and I mean my own – in synchronicity with others – including the ‘unworthy or unawake’ masses.

The mind is predicated somewhat like prometheus in its presumption to be the one to bring light to others – rather than truly and fully accept light for itself – as a basis for extending and sharing light with others.
Specialness is ‘exceptionalism’ and self-superiority seeking vengeance on a world that doesn’t bow down to it. We can so easily notice this in ourselves when we do not get what we want – or when others break the ‘rules’ we set for how they should behave.

Mind-capture is literally the hypnotic trance of one who knows not what he does – because his thought is framing his world and self in ‘image and concept’ of a virtual substitution for Real relationship. This is all of us – with moments of lucidity that allow a true gift to be extended and shared in.

The discovery of the way the mind (control) operates is the development of its ‘technology’ as an extension of the ‘Dark Arts’ – of masking hidden intent on behalf of protecting the darkness in which such a self-superiority can be further indulged. ‘Survival’ is in terms of power persisting – or on ‘my terms’. But Life is a Gift and not gotten by power to make our own upon the death of truth!

The self-hating cannot give, excepting as they believe they deserve. But what if truth is NOT dead – and illusions never lived? Awareness of truth is our inherent responsibility. Drifting into manufactured ‘truths’ is like adulterating our true commonwealth with toxic debt as if to keep what the lie ‘gives’ while selling its pain and sacrifice to ‘suckers’ who believe what they are told because they are targeted in terms of what they want to believe.

We do not usually want to own that we are self-hating and so we ‘sell’ and are ‘sold’ the perception of hateful others – who serve as proxies for our own destruction. Old magic puts sins onto the sacrificial victim to kill them with the driving out or killing of the scapegoat.

But out of mind is simply unconscious and not escaped at all. Such surface ‘realities’ are transience over densely denied fears that are not overcome but reinforced. The time comes when the ‘shadow’ of denial-energy breaks through the mask of containment and suppression as if reality breaks in to lay waste. But reality never went anywhere. It is the bubble of a mind-capture that loses its capacity to maintain its ‘reality’ as believable, meaningful or desirable.

I cannot run your mind for you – nor in sanity would I want to. But in the wish to, is my own proclivity to be dispossessed of sanity for a mutual entanglement in mutually self-renforcing illusion. So I look to withdraw the role or victim and victimiser – so as to see the hidden agreements on which a world of lies can seem so damningly real.

I see this is a withdrawal of energy supply. Splitting into polarities of attractive repulsions is an engine of illusion given emotional charge. To the addict – the lack of a ‘hit’ seems an empty and meaningless life. But this is merely a desensitisation to the light of life. We have to get quiet with being to learn to notice what is already here and always with us. The call to war diverts from our true being’ for the excitement of a false flag. This is not to say we may not choose to stand in integrity as an expression of Life, but this is never characterised by a love of hatred, presented as a righteous sense of self justification.

When you are next tempted thus – will you notice it? Will you give worth-ship there? I merely extend the awareness of choice – and the recognition of the power of choice to limit or open other choices.

My favourite Russiagate story is the banning of Russian athletes for alleged doping. I know it doesn’t have the punch of Putin weaponizing humour or brain eating crickets but it does involve money. Russia recently won a court decision regarding the banned athletes.

“Last year, the Court of Attribution for Sport (CAS) cleared dozens of Russian athletes of doping, stating that the evidence presented in the McLaren report was “found to be insufficient to establish that an anti-doping rule violation (ADRV) was committed by the athletes concerned.” ”

Russian athletes just filed a lawsuit for 4.5 million dollars against Richard McLaren, lead investigator into the alleged Russian doping. As a Canadian there is nothing more I would like to see is McLaren’s name dragged through the mud, and WADA take a financial hit.

Thanks again CJ for your fine words. What struck me is how well the photo went with your story. I’ve pretty much given up on trying to point out how things are too friends and others. They are like those people in the photo regards believing the stenographers and presstitutes in the media. And that’s what they are. They sell their souls to bow and grovel at the feet of power. All for $$$ and access to celebrities and billionaires. Presstitute. What other word can you use for these people who go by the name ‘journalists’?

The corporate and Establishment media have one aim at the moment, to soften up the gullible public into hating those nasty Russians to allow the MIC to have a hot war with Russia, and then possibly China. Our resistance to their lies is admirable, but probably utterly futile in stopping the war, hope I’m wrong.

Frankly Speaking: sadly F.S, I think you’re pretty much right. These ‘people’ want absolute control of the Planet; full spectrum dominance if you will. They are literally insane in their lust for power and control. In essence, they are like Addicts, and addicts will go to any lengths to get their ‘fix’. After Venezuela, it’ll probably be Iran, and after Iran? Thats if the whole economic ponzi scheme dosn’t collapse first. As I said couple weeks ago, we live in perilous times.

What was it? 38 million? who marched against the Iraq War worldwide in 2003? 2 million in this country. But they did it anyway. So maybe it was futile.

But these things tend to follow a similar pattern. Oh what a lovely war, Murdoch jingo, jingo, jingo, it’ll all be over by Xmas. What jolly good fun. But things don’t quite work out according to the power point presentation. The war drags on and the crippled in mind and body come home. The trillions squandered start to add up.

Then the effect of the 38 million marchers starts to kick in. It speeds up the whole process of revolt. I actually used to believe all the garbage of the MSM till Iraq. Then realised I’d been had, like millions of others.

I clicked the hot-link for (“Twitter semioticians”) in the fourth paragraph of this article and low and behold, who shows up but the CounterPoof boys, (err, rather, the “CounterPunch boys”) – asking aloud on Twitter for all the world to see – “what” Mueller’s office could possibly “have meant” by using such a confusing phrase as – “not accurate” to describe the “Buzzfeed” non-story! Freaking amazing. Given their Twitter posts it appears that Eric Draitser and Joshua Frank are apparently busy trying to figure out definitively what the two words “not” and “accurate” might in fact mean respectively and in this particular sequence. Wow! This is truly “Maddowesque” territory in the Russiagate alternative universe.

No freaking wonder CounterPoof had to get rid of the excellent trio of anti-imperialist writers Diana Johnstone, Andre Vltchek and finally our satirist Mr. C.J. Hopkins himself, since none of them would play the “Russiagate” game with them as is apparently required these days at CounterPoof. Though I find MSM journalism completely odious, I find alternative media outlets that present themselves as “progressive,” but which in reality serve the State propaganda apparatus instead, to be particularly obscene indeed.

Another excellent post. Thank you.

Horseshit makes a good fertilizer, unlike other shit, it’s smell is tolerable. Perhaps that’s why the DemonRat Medial Industrial Complex keep shoveling horseshit with impunity. They know if horseshit is packaged in colorful ways, (racist, bigot, homophobe, white Nazi, Russia bad, ad nauseam), repeatedly broadcast 24/7/365, most people will buy it, knowing it’s just more shit to consume like all the other shit they buy.

These are all straight line binaries. Most people are one or the other and never the twain shall meet.

Cool, this C.J. I’ve become a true appreciator of his after reading his Zone23. As a survivor that hasn’t thrown dialectics out with the Marxistoid bathwater, I can only agree that Trumpism, in terms of helping the empire disaggregate, is the very best thing that could happen to the world. Together with all the crass stupidities being splashed by the MSM over our faces, that is.

Of course one’s enthusiasm is restrained when remembering that the worse of the Nazis’ atrocities were to be committed after the decisive defeats of Kursk and Stalingrad. So while I’m luckily not (yet) on the receiving end of the empire’s murderous despair, the fates of yesterday’s Syrians and those of tomorrow’s Venezuelans weigh heavy on my mind. Dialectics or else.

Dialectics: – Hegelian, Marxist inversion (the wrong way up), Daoist, or depoliticised ‘circular causality’, Dynamic Systems Theory, feedback and feedforward cycle, second order cybernetic – dialectics is more or less the universal ecological principle. Linearised ‘billiard ball’ applied mechanical force causality is dead: long live dynamic, inter-connected, non-negational dialectics.

If anyone really wants to blow their mind: consider cause and effect arising co-dependently, co-evolutionarily, and co-creatively together. Object pole and subject pole never separate: remaining as a unitary, irreducible, whole. Then you have the principle of consciousness as well.

Dialectics and (Buddhist, Daoist, Spinozan, Bergsonian, (C S) Peircian, Whiteheadian) process psychology are the feedforward co-evolutionary principle of the future. The future that is already here. The constant flux and emergence of which we are living in here and now. Did I mention dialectical process and atemporality? 😉

(Self) specialness arises ‘co-dependently’ with war.

Negative synchronicities SEEM to be caused by someone or something ‘else’.
And the chain or train of causality can then be a fight over who started it – in which invested identities DEPEND on and cultivate conflict for their ‘survival’.

While the idea of God can be wishful, fearful or foolishly manipulative, the Idea comes in as Creation unseparated from its cause. Timelessness is blocked or blotted out by conflicted sense of getting somewhere else or becoming something else. Much ado… indeed.
Slowing down time is the result of doing this thing well or wholly. Chop wood and carry water.
Don’t just DO something – be the doing of it.
This is by definition the UN doing of the idea of separate or private independent agency; we can ONLY do as we are moved – BUT the movement can be framed in distorted filters or lenses so as to give rise to self contradicting and self destructive thought-reinforcement. IE: Such a world as this.
The interjection of filters is invisible to the mind or attention in the world. THEY ARE THE WORLD.
Meanings that seem dear to us can come back to cost us dearly. The cost is immediate, but our recognition of mistaken identity or errors of judgment may come a long way down the line.
So in a sense, we have set up a curriculum of undoing, by which to arrive at our starting place and know it for the first time. Because it was the recoil to ‘unconsciousness’ in its initial activation. That is what a persona is/does in supplication and sacrifice to archetypal gods whose ‘War in Heaven’ re-enacts the Human Drama.

Looking at the script is the capacity to free awareness from reactive identity. The emotional charge behind the reactive identity is effectively a tyrannous voice or dictate. You don’t need worldly tyranny to suffer such subjection – but we can and do structure our experience of world and therefore each other via the ‘rules’ that bring penalty when broken.

In original being, the dissonance of leaning too far out of true is a self-correcting feedback.
In the construct of the world we have ‘flipped’ to a polarity in which the conviction is – THERE IS NO WAY BACK!
Any attempt to fight the ‘ego’ strengthens the ‘ego’ of the belief we are apart and alone and lacking support and supply – and so the logical extension in coercion and deceit.

In truth we can not be apart and alone from the Field of being that we are the Expression of.
But in the developed construct of a subjective consciousness we are predicated on such a fear, sense of lack, inadequacy or naked defencelessness as calls to armouring – or indeed fig leaves.

“(Self) specialness arises ‘co-dependently’ with war.”

I think we are on the same chapter, most of the time at least. Unfortunately, we are on a different book to most everyone else …certainly with the conventional POV.

Capitalism, imperialism and war are misplaced cognitive and erroneously judged intentionality events. That is, they share the same psychophysical root cause – self/other discrimination and differentiation.

The conventional POV is that ‘reality’ is grounded on a pre-experientially given objective realm that is, and remains, mind-independent. This ‘mise en scène’ of cognition is fixed, durational, substantial, and temporally extended – existing before, and persisting after cognition (objective permanence). The ‘props’, the individual, phenomenal objects are causally unrelated (except for their accidental collection and arrangement in the present scene – the table, its cloth, the coffee, and the flowers are all separate unrelated entities, causally independent, substantially and materially different, etc). When we happen upon the pre-existent scene, the individual objects present themselves to consciousness. The black-box mechanism formerly known as ‘mind’ takes in the sensate data and somehow recreates the scene in a conscious re-presentation of ‘reality’ (somehow it adds the subjective elements – qualia – the coffee is aromatic and hot, the flowers perfumed and particularly fragrant). Taking this core conscious experience as its object, ‘mind’ further transforms the scene into ‘my’ scene …’my’ subjective experience (my personal qualia – the coffee is too hot for ‘me’ to drink); the scene ‘I’ am watching, and ‘I’ am further reflectively thinking of (integrating with memory; forming an opinion or expectation of adaptive response – don’t drink the coffee). We have an emergent sense of ownership and sense of agency (according to the affordances of the scene (the scene presents or affords a potential course of action to the emergent self – substantiating it)).

This is the conventional POV in a nutshell – based on the pre-dominate Cartesian/Newtonian enlightenment synthesis. Even allowing for a mind/body/material substance duality: how could a routine, everyday, innocent scene – set in the philosophers favourite, in a Parisian cafe – cause a war?

Apart from the sense of ownership and self/other discrimination and differentiation: there is another pillar to our architecture of belief – the neo-Darwinian competitive and hierarchical pillar. Amplify and extremise differentiation hierarchically over time, what do you get? Competitive vested interest groups, be they football fans, political parties, or aggregated economic blocs …all with that fetishised self-specialness …all with that self/Other discrimination and differentiation (Otherisation). All co-dependently (dialectically) arising from misrecognition (the separation entailed by discrimination and differentiation). If these sectarian groups should happen to fixate on the same goals (through misplaced cognition of separation and erroneously judged intentionality) …or there are two groups of philosophers; and the Anglo-Analytics spill the PoMo philosophers coffee …there will be blood! Maybe.

The same dialectical processual forces that govern everyday perception; govern households, govern cafes; govern towns, govern cities, govern countries, govern the world. Only the scale (micro, meso, macro) and the factor of magnification (hierarchical extremisation) differ. In the root of the root analysis: there is only the self/other (atma/dharma) discrimination magnified to the Nth order.

The moral: be careful whose coffee you spill. You never know where it may lead!

Notice how the book made pages and chapters. On a scripted parchment there is one ‘page’ but never such a term for it. How much more unified the Mind behind the front end of its compartmentalisation?

Without trying to make a ‘scientific’ case, let it be simply that desire and intention operate through the definitional matrix of the ‘mind’ – but a mind that is engaged in ‘making itself’ rather than extending its true source-nature. Narcissus rather than relation with Echo (or even the waters).

So your ‘black box’ of a mind is indeed the thought-adjuster or displacement of a then unrecognisable Reality – by virtue of distortion filters. This can very simply be a ‘forgetting’ of truth in the wish to explore the impossibility of making something else. There remains a part of our mind that never left its Source.

Clearly the untrue can be believed and experienced as IF Real – and hence called our ‘reality’ – but it never was, can Be or shall be true.

The analysis of the untrue only serves truth to the extent we use it to recognize and release what is always essentially self-illusion – regardless what anyone else seems to be or do – because our interpretation of others – even our perception and premise of ‘other’ is a building block of judgement – which is the means and the end of a ‘mind filter’ of selecting that rejects – in other words divides to Rule.

So the Rule is two faced – that is it seems to offer something to the mind – such as possession, power or protection – but actually disempowers by ruling OUT awareness of the power of being – which is NOT division under rule but the ruling out of division – that is to say without conflict in itself.

In this mind/world we have no capacity to conceptualise unified Will or true Creation – but that is because we are neither in our Right Mind – or IN such a mind/world – excepting our persistent subscription for ‘new game’,’new game’,’new game’,’new game’,’new game’,’new game’,’new game’,’new game’,’new game’, etc – without any space of free awareness to reveal the choice as a CHOICE – rather than as something being done to us.

The game of identity conflict is built into the wish to identify different than you are. All that you Are becomes ‘threat’ to what you are trying to become – where it does not conform to the model (mind/reality) and so must be denied awareness.

You can extrapolate this principle to any symbolic identity including capitalism – and take the ride that it ‘gives’ or leaves you with, but we can choose not to accept identity out of accord with a willingness for truth (self-honesty to our being), and live the experience of what is given for the reintegration of One Mind in this moment and movement of healing or awakening.

Not being in control of the form of the outcome is resting in the nature of the underlying awareness of shared truth.

While separate ones seek ‘agreement’ to self-reinforce, the nature of shared reality is already shared or already Communication. In this ‘world’ the restoring of such is the awareness of a miraculous reality – in the sense that love is the extension of Self-recognition regardless of apparent physical limitations – but without destruction to the freedom to believe them. Even an instant of such a recognition opens more ‘Communication’ than can be consciously appreciated – because it transforms or shifts the consciousness and therefore the perception of others and world.

That the mind cannot abide or retain such a perspective is not the ‘human condition’ so much as the unwatched and therefore un-checked interjection of the intent and attempt to possess and control its experience – from the identification in lack. Such as ‘I want this to last forever’.

The consciousness has to let in enough light to begin to associate pain with poor choices.
Under the mind of blame, poor choices are punished.
In our Right Mind, poor choices are replaced by better – or more truly aligned acceptance.

How then to bring light to a mind/world of darkness?
The attempt to do this has sacrificed light to entanglements in conflict and deepened the darkness.
Hence, (as with MS light bulb changers), darkness is declared the new standard.
But the bringing of the darkness to the light is of a different Movement of being – for it is not FIRST set on making the error real and then trying to correct it, but bringing the error to a true awareness now and no longer protecting it.

The experience of this is humiliating until the recognition comes through us. But then it is the undoing of self-specialness to a truth that then lives through us instead of being usurped and substituted for, by doublethink and its fake reality. The undoing of the false sense of self is generally associated with death, and death is often seen as the reward of escape from such an undoing, but in such a mind, truth is associated not with freedom, but with death and loss of self or power.

And so of course the struggle to power by hook or by crook is all the drive of a threat to survival – as it the topping up of a bankrupted system by the sacrifice of the light of the unwary to false flagged or staged threats. But note the wish to ‘atone’ for a lack of light by willing sacrifice to a cause perceived as light, holds out a deep sense of release to those who have not yet learned to release themselves by releasing their brother.

How can we release the sins of another?
We cannot do FOR another without violating their will, but we can be willing for our own release, and in the recognition of release is the recognition ‘I am not special’ or in any sense deserving of love’s awareness now – but that I Am – as in truth are all those that share existence with me. For nothing and no one living is created alone and apart in an isolated concept at odds with the Mind/Creation.

Notice how we like to put excuses for not being ourself on others or conditions, and then choose not to do so and un cover the More of who and what we are.

Great fun to read, and very much the truth about the way things are run these days.
I find it so sad that, despite the increasing numbers of people who are prepared to sniff the air and come to the logical conclusion that what they smell is the horseshit mentioned here, the colossal gulf between perceiving the problem with current human evolution (which appears to have ground to a halt) and the solution to that problem appears to be widening with every day that passes.

Perhaps the god of ‘progress’ – presumed to also run as ‘evolution’ is not what we wished it was.
However, the development of human consciousness is an expression OF its predicates.
The very idea of progress is not as simple as thinking that runs within it, assumes.

Some insights may shine a light on this: – IE what you resist, persists.

Wherever you go, there you are! – but this applies no less to a sense of self-evasion in attempt to deny and escape a past that it thereby carries around with it – along with all the entanglement of strategies to put it out of mind, somewhere else – and direct efforts in false flagged struggles designed to keep the greater threat from awareness.

A lack of foundation is the father of the lie. Identifying in a sense of lack, was the ‘serpent’s lie’ by which to seek something greater…for our self alone – or in comparison to each other.
The development of the idea of power struggle is the evolution of powerlessness under systems that we made – that now rule us.

Naively, we might just wish we could have the world we want – and get rid of the parts we don’t want.
When Fred Flintstone put the cat out at night, it then put him out.
What we hate, we give power to – unless of course we hate the hate enough to simply treat it as a hot coal from hell. What else would hell be but but we most hate and fear – closing around and rising up and why not falling down upon us too.
How much insane ‘defence’ is in the frame of struggle against greater un-named fear?

Progression of an idea makes sense when the idea itself makes sense, and the unfolding or flowering of potentials is inherently fulfilling. But a mentality of ‘define, predict and control’ is rooted in anti-Life – excepting on a short lead for specific requirements in service to the whole.

The ground under our feet (our worldview and sense of self or reality) is disappearing. It isn’t that the wicked shall perish, so much as the basis from which to align against your SELF is disintegrating, and so there is a reaction in trying to RAMP UP or intensify defences that are thus revealed as insane.
Defences that seem to work are not considered insane, but ‘survival’, ‘reality’ or ‘progress’. But are we defending the problem against its solution – which at the very root is a New Way of looking AT the problem, rather than variations on a theme set BY the problem? As long as we persist in doing the same thing as if to get a different result, we are engaged, and the solution cannot get a word in edgeways.

Or to put it energetically, a mind in conflict is divided against its wholeness.

The established ‘power’ in our sphere signals its intent as a narrative to be accepted and aligned in, or become marked out for exclusion or penalty.
It deals in the ‘truth’ of being threat or promise to you, your family, your career, your personal aspirations. Power that can ‘make you’ can also ‘break’ you.
Play the game and have the benefit of mitigated or forfended pain.

Of course this a tyranny in thought, word and deed, and yet only operates through the investment in fear as protector – for otherwise the forces that uphold the state would not operate the protection of the usurping of state.

Perhaps, on the world stage, there are nations who are not playing the game according to the ‘rules’ of the established power and yet are not so insignificant as to be terrorised and destroyed, and so there may be ‘turf wars’ as to the hierarchy of influence. But whether so or not, the effect is directly on the minds, society and cultural resources of the people who are entrained to march in lockstep – or at least in daring no open act of non-allegiance to consensus under fear.

The old say I hold dear, is to give unto Caesar (worldly power) what is due unto Caesar, and to give unto God, what is due unto God. But the man who spoke this knew the nature of love and loved truth above the illusions given power in a world of fear.

What is hateful, is rightly ‘voided’, evacuated, unsubscribed, dissociated from and no longer accorded status of true currency from which to act or by which to be manipulated.

Anyone who seeks to induce or invite ‘joining’ in hate is seeking reinforcement in deceit. There is no joining in hate – except to protect the hate by giving it the place due to love.

Join in the love of any moment and any willingness of a true appreciation. Its easy to seek and find the hateful, because our minds are trained experts in its fulfilment. And our collective mind runs the same script. Dissociation from that which separates, seems a loss of security and identity, but standing in a greater alignment of integrity is the eyes and ears that meets the world on new terms.

The MSM talks to ITSELF – and those who identify themselves in its frame.
Let the dead bury the dead is really the call to attend the living.
Don’t look back.

The growing questioning of the ruling establishment is a sign of an expansion of human consciousness. Bullshit Recognition is the new movement but I still get immediate angry Russia hating responses if I suggest these Bombshell stories are not true. It’s hard to understand how powerful the control over minds can be.The ownership of information is broken . I loved your essay and laughed a lot.

Sometimes it is the way we say it that leaves no ‘face’ for those who put out what they thought to be a common point of joining.
Every situation is a unique one and listening or discerning the relationship is the context for what may be ventured.
To indicate a lack of support for something shared is not to attack it – but may of course be initially interpreted that way – and so our demeanour is a key part of our communication.
Learning to relate in a greater quality of awareness and honesty is an expansion of the divine or innate quality of being, within our human consciousness.

A beginingless beginning has a symbol in the birthing of a new epoch. So in Universal terms the vibrational quality that Informs all things is also the attraction or alignment of them. But our particular ‘world’ was the outcome of a dissonance or oppositional (self-contradictory) word or mind – from ‘War in heaven’ or indeed from the temptation to possess and control reality for oneself. There are lots of facets on this. Take this as a sketch.
The idea of a Prior state or quality of being also has a Universal as the Timeless that is veiled or hidden and usurped by the engagement of the personal sense and its attachments. Always beneath appearances and prior to any thought process. One cannot get fast enough to move upstream, but one can relax from so struggling and wake to where you always were but forgot in the intensity of the struggle.
Much of our prehistory is like our womb experience – formative to what came after but before the development of language. However, the Saturnalian Era hearks back to a Golden Age or Paradise that was lost under catastrophic conditions whose traces are in our geology and psychology but attributed in the main to Millions or Billions of years – in fact the more time and space that can be interjected between our surface mind and its ‘separation trauma’ the more sense of order and control we believe we actually have – and therefore apply – such as to generate dissonance and attribute it to obstacles or adversaries.
But in some sense there is a sort of blind downhill ‘outward bound’ of a prodigal mis-identifiction – from taking a living inheritance (sic) out of true context to run our own show. Truth needs nothing to be itself, but self-illusions invokes death and taxes.
The struggle to NOT be the one who pays is the pecking order in any given pattern of blame-shifting.

Give a true word and receive a true witness.
We can use the term definition for ‘word’ – for as you define another, so will you see them and react to them and teach them who they are to you. They may choose or not to learn from it, if they are awake. But much of our learning and communication is subliminal and auto-reactive. Stories of official narrative are mixed with hindsight (baggage from the past) and attempted foresight (fear of the future or rather of change bringing pain of loss – and revisiting of Separation Trauma).

Awakening Responsibility for our own experience (of whatever is happening) SEEMS to be UPHILL. Just as an addict faced with release of the pattern of addiction SEEMS to be exposed to some facet of ‘separation trauma’ – such as intense self-hatred that cannot find any acceptance for being and so cannot release.

We are all different in our strategies of evasion and defence, but all rest on our thinking – or rather the thinking we have acquired and accepted as our sense of self and world. To what degree are we addicted to our thinking? Or in a sense running ‘thinking’ as a lid over the intolerable or unthinkable – whether that introverts or extroverts or both.

Aligning in purpose that is counter to our conditioned sense of self is a result of becoming free of its prison. But those who have adapted to prison life do not want to know and will fight to keep their chains in darkness – because it is the only life they know.
