Yep. You have to hope that there is a collective, unconscious red-line/ tipping point that humanity has, that will trigger a push back. At the moment, I don’t hold out much hope!

I’m sad to hear but not surprised that people have collapsed and even died. I live Utah where it was near and over 100 degrees several times this summer. Whilst people wait in their AC’d cars in a line 20 cars deep at Chick-fil-A, the employees had to stand outside in their uniforms (long pants) and masks, taking orders. The whole thing is absurd. Also was in Las Vegas this summer when it was around 113 degrees. As we sat cooking by the pool, hosts and wait staff had to wear their black masks outdoors to work. Although that group did all seemed to be quite fit.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply John. Do you have more writing somewhere about your life that I can find online? I would like to know more about your experiences in California. I’m from Las Vegas originally and I have close ties to friends and family in CA, NV, and UT that all seem uniquely ours and interrelated. I have more reading to do now, about John Wayne and the R.D.
