That entire blurb sets a pattern which is becoming increasingly common: the media not only shoves out the shit but acts as its own readership. Reich (interesting name!) serves up the “wonderful patter” (probably written by the media hacks anyway and in any case indistinguishable from their spiel) and the media machine provides the appreciation. A perfect circle. Behold! The Matrix is already here!
