A very valid observation. I myself am just as speechless as you are. On closer inspection, the absurdity literally catches the eye. My explanation for this is that our world is so insane that it does not realize that it is insane.However, this should activate the highest level of alert in those who are still half awake.

You are not the only one to be puzzled; so am I. There seems to have been a complete 180 degree reversal of the post-War wave of sympathy for Jews and for Zionism; and I share in both waves. Between WW1 and WW2 most of Europe and a considerable part of the U$A was anti-Jewish. Then with revelations from the Russian liberation of Auschwitz, followed by newsreels from the British liberation of Belsen, came a wave of common human sympathy: Jews deserved their Homeland.

Being always an optimist, I can only suggest that the present wave of sympathy for Palestinians is common human sympathy. Palestine was being forgotten, until the daring military operation by Hamas. Then the world woke up — largely because of the mendacious atrocity-mongering by Israel’s Yahoo regime. Then the Apart-Hate state of Israel, which was already pushing the boundaries of our goodwill, became nakedly genocidal; and caused a wave of sympathy for a Palestinian homeland: side by side with the Jewish homeland (twostate solution); or else included in a normal modern secular state (onestate solution).
