Digital ID system was in the U.K 10 + year ago under universal credit it was also in place when the credit card appeared and before that your NI number Tax code number and birth certification.
Digital id is nothing new.
The log id for tree’s and plants fruit and vege was in place 100 years ago.
cattle id was in place after the 1st world war, ramped up after foot and mouth.
The Indians in the reservation where given cards- id cards 100 years ago or they could not leave the reservation.
Milk tokens for poor people.
Ration cards during the recession and U.K is the leader of this is trying to introduce all benefit pension payment via vouchers system rather than money and the ”money thing’ dont get me started as that is dodgy as fuck.
