BRICS to introduce multipolar carbon markets
Not to be confused with unipolar carbon markets
Riley Waggaman
On November 22, the G20 will gather in BRICS-state South Africa to discuss the #1 crisis facing humankind: the nations of the world are struggling to meet their UN Sustainable Development Goals, which are supposed to be achieved by 2030. That’s only five years away!
To paraphrase the G20’s website: that’s not good—that’s bad.
South Africa has used its G20 Presidency to zero in on this existential threat: “While the challenges we face are common, their causes and consequences are unevenly distributed…A lack of predictable and sustainable financing for development and climate action exacerbates these inequalities.”
Of course, actions speak louder than words, especially when there is dire need for climate action.
BRICS, which serves as the multipolar world order’s Fellowship of the Ring, just with fewer wizards and more public-private partnerships, has been working behind the scenes to lay the groundwork for equitable carbon-accounting mechanisms that will help all relevant stakeholders achieve their SDGs before the world is enveloped in life-ending carbon.
Just in the last six weeks, BRICS states have made huge strides towards accounting for, and eventually exterminating, all carbon on Earth.
September 25: China’s carbon market is booming!
Xinhua news agency provided highlights from the China Carbon Market Conference, held in Shanghai at the end of September:
By the end of August, the cumulative trading volume of China’s carbon emissions trading market was nearly 700 million tonnes, with a trading value of approximately 48 billion yuan (about 6.6 billion U.S. dollars).
Notably, the total transaction volume for the whole of 2024 was the highest since the market began trading in 2021, according to a report on the development of the national carbon market.
October 10: Brazil to propose international standards to integrate global carbon markets
Brazil has cooked up something special for the upcoming UN Climate Conference, COP30, which will be held in the Brazilian port city of Belém from November 10-21.
TV BRICS, a Moscow-based media project funded by the Russian government, reported:
Brazil intends to present the Open Coalition for Carbon Market Integration project at the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30). The initiative by the country’s Ministry of Finance involves harmonising the standards of international carbon emissions trading systems and creating a single, transparent and sustainable market.
The coalition is set to become part of the New Brazil government programme, a strategy aimed at combining economic growth, social justice and environmental protection. Participation in the initiative will be voluntary, and the structure will be open to new members at any time.
According to Cristina Reis, Deputy Secretary for Sustainable Economic Development at the Ministry of Finance, the aim of the project is to accelerate global decarbonisation.
“The idea is for countries to work together to reduce emissions, thereby reducing the threat of climate crisis and the negative impact of greenhouse gases on the planet,” she said.
October 20: Can India’s carbon market fuel the country’s “cleantech future”?
There is growing excitement about India’s Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS), which launched in 2023. Carbon trading is set to begin next year, and there are high hopes that the scheme will “power India’s cleantech future”, whatever that means.
October 22: South Africa to introduce “high-integrity” carbon markets
South Africa has also been busy with its own project to promote “climate-smart growth”.
South African state media announced the good news:
[The] government is set to introduce a new framework to guide and expand high-integrity carbon markets in South Africa.
Addressing the Carbon Markets Africa Summit 2025, the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Dr Dion George, said when carbon markets are governed with integrity, they can mobilise finance, transfer technology, and drive inclusive growth.
“The framework lays the foundation for developing, governing, and scaling high-integrity carbon markets in South Africa. It is designed to create an enabling environment for credible, transparent, and socially inclusive carbon market activity, aligned with our Nationally Determined Contributions and with the Paris Agreement’s cooperative mechanisms,” the Minister said in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) embody South Africa’s efforts to reduce national emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
“The future of carbon markets will be defined not by promises but by performance. Our goal is simple: to build a credible system that attracts investment, delivers real emission reductions, and creates lasting value for our people. Through integrity, innovation and partnership, Africa can lead a new era of climate-smart growth,” George said.
The Draft South African Carbon Markets Framework was developed under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Meanwhile, South Africa has been working with the G20’s Sustainable Financing Working Group to “enhance the integrity of carbon credit markets, reduce market fragmentation and enhance carbon market efficiency”.
October 27: Russia flaunts carbon market achievements to G20
Ahead of the summit in Johannesburg, Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Nikita Kondratiev met with G20 colleagues in Cape Town to share Moscow’s well-documented affinity for carbon accounting:
G20 countries need to share experiences in the development of low-emission technologies that are a significant driver for climate change mitigation.
This was stated by the Director of the Department of multilateral economic cooperation and special projects of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Nikita Kondratiev following the final meeting of the working group and the G20 Ministerial Meeting on Environment and Climate Sustainability, which was held in the South African city of Cape Town.
Discussions in the two meetings were based on the priorities set out by the South African presidency. On climate, the parties discussed the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the context of sustainable development and adaptation to climate change, mechanisms to respond to collateral losses and damage, and ensuring equitable transitions to a low-carbon economy.
“Our delegation presented … successes in achieving carbon neutrality in Sakhalin, as well as the first successful results in the development of the national voluntary carbon market in Russia,” concluded Nikita Kondratiev.
Please clap.
Bizarrely, BRICS’ crusade against carbon has been curiously ignored by trusted voices in independent media who preach about the glorious ascendance of the multipolar world order. Why do they remain silent about BRICS’ greatest triumphs? This makes no sense if you are trying to promote what the multipolar world stands for: equitable, sustainable, high-integrity carbon trading.

They seem to hate weather as much as the “rich” western governments
All these carbon credit schemes should be abolished
I got a little closer to the clima change riddle. The military are actually able to use the weather as a serious weapon against other countries.
For the stupid guys it is named clima change. For insiders it is named GeoEngineering.
.
Here from Alaska:
So climate change exists and it is called GeoEngineering!
The crazy leftie Nielson.
The ONLY reason BRICS nations are at COP30:
After two weeks of bitterness and hostility, Cop29 arrived at the same conclusion that had been predicted long before its start: an overarching goal of $1.3tn a year was to flow to the developing world by 2035, drawn from a wide variety of public and private sources and, within that, a pledge by developed countries to supply $300bn directly.
The irony: They include raising money from oil and gas producers and other high-carbon activities, such as levies on frequent flyers and transport.
So who is in charge of all this? Who is really running the show? Where are these complex and covert decisions made?
I request (as I ve done before) to Off Guardian to at least provide some articles with a theory of just how so much coordination among so many countries (many supposed rivals among them) happens?
There MUST be some people somewhere making these plans. Who could they be and how do they manage to control so much?
The money printers. After them the military. The military are making all the dangerous things that we have to protect us against. The money printers pay them for security and safety..
The mitigation may be real or fake*. It may even entail evicting rural people. A related aspect is claiming reimbursement for real or fake reduction in emissions, starting from a high level. Carbon trading and related digital platforms are not concerned about sequestering carbon; in farming, they serve to consolidate control over food.
* From off-guardian.org 2023-06-12:
– Journalist Patrick Greenfield found research on Verra – the leading authority approving carbon credits in the rapidly growing ($2 billion) “voluntary offsets” market – showing that >90% of the credits for “rainforest offset” seemed falsified.
– A 2022 study at Cambridge U. found that the threat to forests in Verra projects had been overstated by ~400% on average.
– Barbara Haya, director of Berkeley Carbon Trading Project, has been researching carbon credits for 20 years, trying to make the system effective. She stated that most of the credits do not represent any reduction in emissions.
How many time for how many decades do we have to point out for the sheeple its a scheme?
Is this where the rich get to buy up the credits from those who have nothing much else to make money with so they, the rich, can get on with polluting the earth?
Yep.
Only the military is ‘polluting the earth’.
BigAg? BigChem? BigPharma?
In relation to the carbon issue it is only the military;
Agent Orange, Geo Eng, Alu particles and a lot of other bad particles in the air. Microwaves.
BigAg, Chem, Pharma is not air to soil pollution. I suppose they have filters on their chimneys. They belong to another spectra..
.
These goals are movable and in truth, bullshit.
Anyone dumb enough to waste 5 years awaiting some plan when they
did the same lies for agenda 21 and 2012 or 1999.
what>? everyday your going to shit your pants waiting for arrival date of end of the world in this case Agenda 30.
Get on with your life.
I believe in my government no matter what you say. Conspiracy theorist!

The Green ($$$$$$$$) industry in the US and PR China.
The rich/elites/PTB/predator class think it will benefit them if the unwashed masses can’t afford to travel. They’ve already made their oil money, but now they want to be the only ones able to use just about any kind of energy at all.

How can ‘carbon trading’ be ‘high integrity’ when the whole carbon dioxide scam is a complete and utter fraud?
The financial output has high integrity. Fixed.
Did US President Trump say of Al-Jolani (aka – al-Sharaa)
“He may be a Terrorist, but he’s Our Terrorist !” ?
No. Obama said that!
Yet Project 2025 hasn’t even made the blog headlines.
they need to get spraying the skies with extra gusto if they want to sell this one, faith in the anthropogenic CO2 scam seems to be dwindling
The same climate change freaks are spraying nano aluminum particles from high altitude jet exhausts since years in secret, to block sunlight. Now that is man made.
If an Alu Plane can turn down the two towers in 9/11, and we can die from Alu particles in the air, why not use Alu cars in the wars against all our enemies?
The equitable sustainability of the upper quadragical gyration is the single most important existential crisis facing The Planet and in order to alleviate the whadralogical bifurcation of the intermodulate participates I’m afraid you’re all going to have to die.
Holy guacamole 🥴
Shiiiiiit shit shit shit 🤒 .
You might not die, but you’ll definitely gain weight.
Reading those statements from the various BRICS regimes does anyone actually understand what they are saying?
It is just a word salad.
However, obviously there is money to be made at the expense of others. Just ask Al Bore who became the world’s first ‘carbon billionaire’ many moons ago.
My question is the following, if regimes, banks and anyone else with a enough capital can trade carbon then will the average pleb be able to?
For example, in the Brave New World of Agenda 2030 and beyond, if I want to sit around a candle to stay warm in the middle of a snowy winter’s day and actually be allowed to light it, will I be able to buy some carbon credits to do so?
Does that mean those useless eaters with a bit more money than others will be able to buy the unused credits of those who do not use them, perhaps from people in poorer countries?
South Africa says:
South Africa can’t even keep the lights on 24/7 as it currently is, experiencing regular power cuts. The only growth ‘industry’ there is unemployment.
Although, it seems Brazil’s word salad statement contained the real nugget of truth regarding the ultimate plan.
…and we all what that ‘carbon’ is.
and we all **know** what that ‘carbon’ is.
Every urban resident in India is choking in smog or smoke. Cabon trading is just what it needs, besides arresting those protesting against the pollution.

UK media are going nuts with conspiracy theories even while the (video editing) facts stare them in the face. A US presidential candidate was blackened on purpose to take him out of the race. They still don’t care about these facts, only their meme bubble. Numbers count, not truth.

Dont celebrate ! Net Zero aint being killed off, it’s only being rebranded !!
You’re still gonna have to live within your ‘Carbon Budget’ – no matter
what its rebranded as… And though chocolate bars are smaller they’ll
still be included in your ‘Carbon Budget.’
No will ever get me to calculate nor make a ‘carbon budget!
So the #1 crisis “facing humankind” was manufactured by the UNFCCC’s CO2 hot air. Similar to the WHO’s Covid2. Or the UNHCR’s multiple refugee “crises” from south to north. Scare the plebs and politicians and route them in any pen.
The BRICS are just playing along to please the woke West for their “climate” subsidies and other trade goodies. They know quite well that the Sun doesn’t shines at night, wind is very variable and electricity backup batteries are extremely expensive. PR China produces all of these, it will make even perpetual motion machines IF the West buys them.
Asia is not on a suicide path, the Atlantic coasts are.
Hence the all for one & one for all approach by the Oligarchy to accomplish its master’s demands. The carbon tax credit scam is but 1 cog in their wheel.
Give them all a professor title.
I am not an expert so I ask myself: why this crazy correlation between CO2 and Earth temperatures? Who knows precisely what the concentrations were in the air even 100 years ago ? How was that measured ? The CO2 % in the air is extremely low so how anyone can say what is the “right” amount ? How this thing ever came on the UN table, don’t they have wars to stop? Probably one artillery shell produces enough CO2, who and how “offsets” that ?

“The initiative by the country’s Ministry of Finance involves harmonising……bla bla” says it all.
Its a pure financial office desk game and account exercise without any relation to physical reality. All right then its “a financial instrument” as they call it.
But why do they lie and say it is ‘to save the planet’ and ‘global warming’ and ‘lower the temperature with -1,5C’, and more name calling.
Why dont they just say it straight out that ‘Clima bs’ its a financial instrument game?

My web browser is constantly recommending science and history articles to me. Occasionally one is so juicy I have to share it here. Apparently we’re now being told that some kind of cosmic object is hurtling towards Earth…or something.
I have no idea what’s above our heads or what shape the Earth is. NASA feeds us all sorts of silly fantasies, but presumably they are very interested in what actually happens up there, and know a lot more than we do.
Many in the skeptical community argue that the “science” of astrophysics is just disguised Kabbalistic mythology with its magic numbers and neoplatonic pantheon of demigods.
(Let me remind everyone again that the linchpin of astrophysics, the “speed of light”, just happens to be identical, to the 7th decimal place, to the latitude of the Great Pyramid. No, not because “ancient aliens” encoded it there “12,000 years ago”, but because Egypt-worshipping occultists, who know well that there is no such thing as the speed of light, think it’s funny to mock us with this winking reference to the monument that represents their “Great Work”, and which was probably made of poured concrete in the last four hundred years.)

Ah, it means he’s a spook working for the Israeli secret services.

That’s actually on his Wikipedia page. I don’t know what to say. I remember when the only people claiming stuff like this were rando “ex-CIA” grifters on conspiracy sites, not Harvard astrophysicists. It seems like these people are ready to drop the facade and dissolve their fake physics, which presumably costs a lot of time and money to maintain, back into the esoteric cosmology from which they derived it in the first place.

Savor it. The former head of Harvard Astronomy is inventing fake space objects with 13’s and 33’s everywhere and telling us that the Jewish Messiah is a space alien. How long until the rug is pulled and they announce to us directly that goys are simply not allowed to know anything anymore?

Yes carbon markets are shit all over. BRICS too. Correct.
Climate is a never ending list of scams to create pots of government money that the oligarchy can then steal. How energy and trade are redefining US–Turkey regional cooperation
By Pınar Dost
Turkey’s efforts to diversify its energy sources
Long before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Turkey realized that Russia wouldn’t hesitate to use energy as a weapon. It learned this lesson when Gazprom cut Turkey’s gas supply by 50 percent during the harsh winter of 2016 in retaliation for the downing of a Russian jet. In response, Turkey took steps to ensure its own energy security while contributing to that of Europe.

Why Washington should pay attention to Turkey’s presence in Central Asia
By Kiran Baez
Energy diversification ambitions significantly influence Turkey’s Central Asian strategy. Kazakhstan holds substantial gas reserves and thirty billion barrels of crude oil; Turkmenistan has the world’s fifth-largest gas reserves alongside major oil deposits. Uzbekistan, though comparatively smaller, has considerable undeveloped fossil-fuel reserves. While currently minor suppliers, these countries have long entertained increasing westward exports via Turkey, benefiting both Central Asian energy producers and Turkey by reducing Turkish dependence on Russian energy, enhancing Turkey’s energy hub ambitions, and allowing Central Asian states to gain direct European market access. Accessing Europe’s markets may be increasingly important for Turkmenistan, which exported 70 percent of its gas to China in 2024, while China has taken steps to diversify its energy sources, and Russia moves to corner the Central Asian gas market.43 Though the theoretical potential for western movements of Central Asian gas is often entertained by some outspoken Turkish energy analysts, there is a wide gap between potential and reality.44
The political environment may be changing to make these projects more feasible: Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine, international interest in the Middle Corridor, and major infrastructure advancements present new opportunities for westward energy exports. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), initially designed for Azerbaijani oil, now increasingly sources from Central Asia. Kazakhstan began BTC oil shipments from its Tengiz field in 2008; Turkmenistan followed in 2010.45 Discussions are reported to be underway for Turkmenistan to export gas via the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), bolstered by plans to double the pipeline’s capacity from 16 billion cubic meters to 32 bcm.46 By 2024, Kazakh and Turkmen oil accounted for about 18 percent of BTC’s throughput.47 In November 2024, Kazakhstan’s energy minister, Almasadam Satkaliyev, announced intentions to significantly reduce oil exports via Russia’s Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), shifting instead to BTC and boosting exports from 1.5 million metric tons annually to 20 million tons.48
They’ve all been bribed, all of the leaders. It’s the old cartel offer: plomo o plata. And every time you send someone up there to deal with them on your behalf, that’s what’s going to happen, too. Every one, every time. The only solution is to abolish the institution, the only thing that is allowed to kill and steal, and to never create another one.
Sociopaths and other assorted Eric Cartman-types will always conclude that the easiest way to get rich and stay rich is simply to control that thing, and such a thing will attract Eric Cartman-types more than any other type of person. While everyone else is concentrating on doing their part/making their mark for themselves and their loved ones during their brief time on earth, the Eric Cartman types – those with no morals or talents – will all wind up in government.
A government is little more than an army, and if you have a standing army, you have to have a war. Governments are always looking to fight other governments, people are not. The Roman Government was mostly a military, and it ultimately bankrupted them after subjecting them to generations of impoverishment through taxation and inflation to pay for it. Modern governments have many, many more costly agencies than their armies, making government the sole cause of permanent and systemic poverty/misery and war. It is becoming increasingly clear that government will ultimately exterminate humanity. This shit is beyond dumb.

Kissinger Warns Washington: Accept New Multipolar Global System Or Face A Pre-WWI Geopolitical Situation
Unlikely that Washington is ready to unilaterally end its hard and soft power aggression as it falsely believes it can maintain a unipolar order against China, Russia
With the White House continually provoking tensions against Russia and China, the doyen of American foreign policy, Henry Kissinger, dramatically warned Washington last week to either agree to a new international system or continue pushing tensions that are leading to a situation similar to the eve of World War One.
In a recent Chatham House webinar with former British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, 97-year-old Kissinger called on the U.S. to create a balance with existing global forces, adding “if you imagine that the world commits itself to an endless competition based on the dominance of whoever is superior at the moment, then a breakdown of the order is inevitable. And the consequences of a breakdown would be catastrophic.”
Kissinger’s career is washed in blood when we remember his backing of Pakistan during Bangladesh’s War of Independence despite the massacre of hundreds of thousands of people and mass rape; orchestrated a military coup in Chile to remove democratically elected Allende in favor of the Pinochet dictatorship; tacitly supported Indonesia’s mass killing of hundreds of thousands of East Timorese; and, blessed Turkey’s invasion of northern Cyprus that led to 200,000 Greek refugees without a right of return – among many other things.
However, his most recent statement about the U.S. and the international system is actually a mature proposal that would be beneficial for world peace if the Biden administration accepts his advice that the global order is changing. It is unlikely that Washington is ready to unilaterally end its hard and soft power aggression as it falsely believes it can maintain a unipolar order. It is always difficult for Great Powers to accept that the world has changed, especially when it is to their detriment.

A MUA (Make-Up Artist)?
Iran appears to be an important part of BRICS – that links China and Russia – in the BRICS movement – Russian and Chinese trains now run to Iran, carrying all sorts off goods – Iran and China recently came to a deal that Iran can pay China for services rendered (maybe weapons) in oil.
The USA has made friends in the region – some of the Stans – have recently signed MoU’s with the USA and Israel – in order to slow down BRICS, the USA/Europe and Israel will need to attack and knock out any trade routes with China and Russia – as well as capture any nuclear materials – it looks what happens to Iran, is going to become a pivotal point in not only BRICS future but that of the USA/Europe and Israel’s.
President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement
On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) into law. The package took a varied approach to modifying energy tax credits, with many tax credits seeing significant changes that could dramatically impact the deployment trajectory of many clean energy technologies.
Actually it wasn’t Trump’s decision, he’s just the puppet. The first time it was the Heritage Foundation, the second was Project 2025. That’s who you’re supporting, not Trump.
“Prior to President’ Trump’s first term, the Heritage Foundation released a policy proposal calling for the U.S to leave the Paris Agreement. It was logical to assume a similar call would be made in Project 2025. Additionally, the chapter on the EPA was authored by Mandy Gunasekara, an attorney who served as Chief of Staff for the agency during the Trump presidency. Gunasekara states she “was the chief-architect of the Paris Accord withdrawal.”
Not necessary. Trump is an representative. He represent large organised groups in America. A lot of these groups come up with suggestions, reports, proposals.
Reagan for example took up a lot the Heritage’s proposals and realised 60% of them. So Trump and his administration gathered and agreed some of their proposals were fine and tried to realise them.
This does not necessary mean he is a puppet or someone are corrupt or something else. Its fluent and dependent on the views they come up with.

“High-integrity carbon trading” how delightfully oxymoronic.
Ain’t it though?
Integrity from the $uiturd$?
Hah, hah, hah, hah _ _ _ _ 🤮
Carbon credits are the modern form of the medieval ‘Indulgence’. A license to ‘sin’.
Sin in the modern sense being to produce CO2 or methane (primarily the product of electricity production). Living in an electricity-dominated world, so we directly or indirectly ‘sin’ by contributing to fossil fuel electricity production. Original sin becomes being born into a world that that uses electricity. The lights were left on before we’d shaken our first rattle or were a twinkle in our father’s eye.
Carbon credits thus bring a form of expiation in that they provide the owner with a right to sin with a clear conscience, but only if one has also done something good that day. A licence to go to the tavern/brothel but only if one has helped fund a Church mission or tossed a coin to a beggar. The sin being ‘offset’ by the good deed.
The credits are hence the right to dump one’s rubbish in the street – but only if one has also helped fund a litter collection scheme somewhere in Brazil. Or bought “brownie points” from someone else who has. Greater wealth bringing greater expiation from one’s own crimes.
Multipolar carbon credits make things even fairer, by giving less developed nations the right to pollute too. Unipolar nations shouldn’t have all the dumpster privileges. “If we club together, then we can pollute together” being the unwritten motto.
Carbon markets encourage traders to “stock up” on indulgences now, because they may be more expensive in the future”. Buying/Going long. A futures market in sin.
“A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” (2 Peter 2:22)
The ‘Carbon Confessional’ as it were.
Also, a way to kill more people indirectly. By buying up farms through failed GMO strains (that bankrupt farmers), inheritance taxes and impossible regulations. Bill Gates (largest US landowner) and his ilk then turn the land into nature reserves. And invest in Soylent Green and insects for YOUR food. The biggest farming businesses meanwhile get outrageous subsidies and exemptions to produce more poisonous food and “biofuel” while destroying more tropical forests (Amazon).
