The establishment needs to make up its mind: do “false flags” happen, or not?

Just hours after the alleged terrorist attack on a St Petersburg metro station, a BBC news reporter stated (see the video above): Well, there have been demonstrations – political demonstrations – against corruption, and against President Putin and his system…perhaps this is some kind of attempt to distract from the calls for a corruption investigation, and the calls for President Putin himself to step down.” The BBC never uttered a single word about the possible political motives behind any other terrorist attack. Not for decades. Lockerbie, Nice, 7/7, Berlin, the Bataclan, Orlando, 9/11, JFK and the 2001 Anthrax Attacks. Every single attack or assassination has a “possible false flag” theory behind it. Some are extremely likely, others less so. The BBC has given the same exact level of coverage to all of them: zero. There are even proven cases of Governments planning and/or conducting such attacks: Operation Northwoods, The Gulf of Tonkin Incident, the USS Liberty and Operation Gladio. These are all uncontested historical facts. The BBC has given the same exact level of coverage …

Propaganda Can’t Melt Steel Beams

by Kevin Ryan Eleven years ago, I initiated a discussion about the fact that jet fuel fires could not have melted steel at the World Trade Center. The government agency investigating the WTC destruction responded by holding “some of its deliberations in secret.” Although it’s not a secret that jet fuel can’t melt steel, due to propaganda from sources like The Washington Post and The Huffington Post, Americans often get confused about what facts like that mean to any national discussion. In a nutshell, what it means is that the molten metal found at the WTC, for which there is a great deal of evidence, cannot be explained by the official 9/11 myth. Today no one thinks that jet fuel fires can melt steel beams—not even The Posts’ new science champion, who doesn’t bother to actually use jet fuel or steel beams to teach us about “retarded metallurgical things.” Instead, he uses a thin metal rod and a blacksmith forge to imply that, if the WTC buildings were made of thin metal rods and there …

Barry Jennings: an explosive account

by Bryan Kinnear I heartily commend OffG for hosting their 9/11 series; most sites tend to be polarised as either pro or con – it is a rare opportunity for both sides to air simultaneously. I also commend Jerome and Carroll for largely driving one side of the argument; and in particular to Carroll for his diligent and detailed research. I concur that the jury is still out regarding nano-thermite and that further studies are required to verify this. This, in itself is in line with the Harrit et al paper. [1] In agreeing that Carroll has done valuable work and broadened the debate, I however also believe that he then goes too far in his hypothesis. Where I begin to diverge is in the production of what I would term an “If Chewbacca lives on Endor – you must acquit”; [2] a type of non sequitur argument with a fallacious conclusion – that no thermite = no CD = fire collapse. To my mind, he has at most highlighted that the mechanism of collapse …

The Tyranny of 9/11: The Building Blocks of the American Police State from A-Z

by John Whitehead at the Rutherford Institute No one man can terrorize a whole nation unless we are all his accomplices.” Edward R. Murrow We’ve walked a strange and harrowing road since September 11, 2001, littered with the debris of our once-vaunted liberties. We have gone from a nation that took great pride in being a model of a representative democracy to being a model of how to persuade the citizenry to march in lockstep with a police state. In doing so, we have proven Osama Bin Laden right. He warned that “freedom and human rights in America are doomed. The U.S. government will lead the American people in — and the West in general — into an unbearable hell and a choking life.” These past 15 years have indeed been an unbearable, choking hell. What began with the passage of the USA Patriot Act in October 2001 has snowballed into the eradication of every vital safeguard against government overreach, corruption and abuse. The citizenry’s unquestioning acquiescence to anything the government wants to do in …

15 Years Later, Obama Extends 9/11 ‘National Emergency’ To Justify A Perpetual War On Terror

from MintPress News Late last month, the mainstream media took little notice as President Barack Obama extended a 15-year-old national emergency status that enables the U.S. global war on terror. The Aug. 30 White House announcement extends the national emergency first declared by President George W. Bush just days after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Obama wrote in the memo: Because the terrorist threat continues, the national emergency declared on September 14, 2001, and the powers and authorities adopted to deal with that emergency must continue in effect beyond September 14, 2016. Therefore, I am continuing in effect for an additional year the national emergency that was declared on September 14, 2001, with respect to the terrorist threat. Vox co-founder Matthew Yglesias suggested these annual renewals have grown increasingly farcical as the United States targets more countries and new enemies: Given that the emergency is defined vaguely as constituting something like ‘terrorists might attack the country,’ it seems like we should consider dropping the charade of annual renewals and just admit that ‘emergency’ 9/11 …

A Tale of Two Syrian Boys…only one of whom is supposed to matter

Please watch this to the end. The last portion is harrowing, but not gratuitous. No violence is depicted. But we see the truth of what the US-backed al-Zenkis did to little Abdullah. Please share this widely and don’t be afraid to contact the media and ask them why children’s lives only matter when it serves the Western agenda.

why we have to say no to war in Syria

by Simon Wood This piece was originally published September 8 2015, but is highly relevant to the ongoing drive for war i Syria We can’t have it both ways. We can’t be both the world’s leading champion of peace and the world’s leading supplier of arms.” Former US President Jimmy Carter, presidential campaign, 1976 [Source] No clearer demonstration of the mass psychosis afflicting much of humanity can be seen than in the ongoing outrage and horror evoked by the photographs of 3-year-old Aylan Kurdi’s body. While it goes without saying that any empathic being would react with utter revulsion and helpless fury at the fate of this poor little boy, one cannot ignore the vast indifference evident toward the thousands of other needless child deaths that occur daily around the world. For this silent slaughter, we hear: ‘Shit happens’ or ‘What am I supposed to do about it?’ Aylan’s death even touched the stony hearts of corporate media editors: From Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal: His name was Aylan. He was 3 years old, from …

Pentagon-backed “moderates” allow 100s of ISIS fighters to escape

by Kurt Nimmo at Another Day in the Empire Fox News reports: A couple hundred vehicles of Islamic State (ISIS) fighters were allowed to leave the northern Syrian city of Manbij as U.S.-backed forces seized the town in recent days because the militants had civilians with them, according to a U.S. military official. The decision to allow the terrorists to flee to Turkey was handed down by the Pentagon. The explanation given was they didn’t want to hurt civilians who were actually hostages: Col. Chris Garver, a spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition fighting ISIS, told Pentagon reporters that the decision to let the convoy leave the city was made by commanders of the Syrian Democratic Forces. He said there were civilians in each of the vehicles, and the military wanted to avoid casualties. He added that he doesn’t know how many of the civilians may have been in the cars voluntarily, but some were likely hostages. Fox reports it is not clear if the “militants” departed under a pre-arranged agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces …

Leaked ISIS Docs Show 70% of Recruits Don’t Even Know What Islam Is

by Claire Burnish at FreeThought.com Shredding the oft- and self-propagated notion the Islamic State is comprised of radical Muslims, the vast majority of the group’s recruits have only superficial knowledge about the religion of Islam — some even purchased the book “Islam for Dummies” just prior to joining. An analysis of leaked Islamic State documents obtained by Syrian opposition site Zaman al-Wasl and undertaken by the Associated Press found 70 percent of recruits at the height of the group’s push for members only possessed basic knowledge of Shariah, laws derived from verses in the Quran, and “hadith,” the words and actions of the prophet Mohammed. While 24 percent had attained an intermediate understanding of the religion, a mere 5 percent were considered advanced students of Islam. That exact ignorance of the religion’s true tenets likely helped inflate Islamic State numbers. As the outlet explains: “At the height of the Islamic State’s drive for foot soldiers in 2013 and 2014, typical recruits included the group of Frenchmen who went bar-hopping with their recruiter back home, the …

MSM promotes dodgy docs as well as child-exploitation in drive for war

by Catte Overshadowed by the recent attempts to create a faux media storm out of an unverified video produced by the pro-terrorist “Aleppo Media Center”, a recent article in the Guardian by Patrick Wintour reminds us that, when it comes to war-propaganda, the media doesn’t just do child-exploitation to order – it also promotes dodgy documents without question or analysis. Wintour’s piece focuses on the – as usual – uncorroborated open  letter to President Obama allegedly written by a group of doctors in terrorist-controlled eastern Aleppo, calling for US “intervention” to “stop the bombardment of hospitals in the besieged city by the Russian-backed Syrian air force”, and is another shining example of spineless obedience to an intellectually bankrupt narrative. The article doesn’t give the text of the letter in full, but here it is: Dear President Obama, We are 15 of the last doctors serving the remaining 300,000 citizens of eastern Aleppo. Regime troops have sought to surround and blockade the entire east of the city. Their losses have meant that a trickle of food …

So, did Obama & Clinton really “found ISIS”?

by Jim Jatras No one paying attention with even one eye and half an ear can be ignorant of the fact that when it comes to this year’s election the MSM are lying shills for Hillary. But now it seems they’re all suffering from amnesia too. The latest “OMG, Trump said that!” moment is The Donald’s claim that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are, correspondingly, the “founder” and “cofounder” of ISIS. True to form, the media reaction has been to shriek in outrage that he would cast aspersions on such august personages. As of this writing, not one American media source of which this writer is aware has brought up in relation to Trump’s claims the August 2012 report (declassified and released in 2015 under a FOIA request from Judicial Watch) from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) stating that there is the possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist principality in Eastern Syria, and this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime. The “supporting …

don’t mention Gladio…

by Catte The alleged “terror attacks” are happening thick and fast in Europe right now. France has suspended its constitution for another several months as a response. Germany is in turmoil and may well follow suit. The media narrative is already set within a clearly defined paradigm that stipulates these attacks are being perpetrated by “radical Islam.” The debate centres solely on what this means. Is it “blowback” for the West’s policy of perpetual war in the Middle East, as the more liberal/left-inclined tend to say, or is it just Evil Extreme Islamics being Evil, as the more rightist-inclined aver? There was a debate just like that on RT today. A Northern Irish white gentleman was looking severe and intolerant and claiming ISIS was basically Islam, (because – duh – they’re called “Islamic State”!), and an English non-white gentleman was looking embattled and pointing out (justifiably) that most of the ISIS terrorists identified were anything but devout Moslems and anyhow the history of colonial wars perpetrated by many of the countries currently suffering these attacks …

Geneva talks delay exposes (again) US links to terrorism

By Finian Cunningham at the American Herald Tribune As is often the case, you have to read between the lines to parse the truth about Syria –or indeed many other issues –as reported in the Western mainstream media. With a discerning eye the truth can be found. But that’s why it is played down, sanitized, half-told or frosted with banality. Because the truth is pretty shocking. This week, UN-backed political talks were scheduled to begin in the Swiss city of Geneva between the Assad government and various so-called opposition groups. The talks did not take place as planned on Monday, January 25, and it is unclear if they will even go-ahead this week. The stumbling block is finding agreement on which opposition groups are to be admitted to the negotiations. The Western news media won’t spell it out. But the main problem resides with the United States and Saudi Arabia both insisting that two militant groups should be part of the opposition to the Syrian government. Those groups are Jaish al-Islam (Army of Islam) and …

GLADIO: GLOBAL – Gangs & Counter Gangs in Europe, Northern Ireland, Iraq, Syria

from 21st Century Wire General Sir Anthony Farrar-Hockley, a former commander-in-chief of NATO forces in northern Europe said…that a covert intelligence service was set up in Italy with the help of British agents and the CIA – which also partly funded it. The Italian branch of the network was known as Operation Gladio.” Richard Norton Taylor, Guardian, 15/11/90 Gladio was … set up with British help in the 1950’s, operated by the secret services and partly financed by the United States CIA.” Richard Norton-Taylor, Guardian, 16/11/90 To understand today’s geopolitical chaos, we must first understand the methods of instability used by the state, both at home and abroad… The website Aangirfan describes a asymmetric counter intelligence operation – originally designed as a “stay behind operation” for defending a country, but later turned back in on itself and unleashed to terrorize the ‘Homeland’ (Europe, North America) as a means of manipulating political, social and military outcomes, including defense spending – at home. This is not a conspiracy theory – it’s historical fact. Is this operation still …

James Corbett: “how governments terrorise the public”

as part of our challenging the narrative of the “new 9/11” series, this article from the International Forecaster asks ‘has Paris really changed everything?” The meme has already been floated: “Paris changes everything” according to the terrorists in government who stand to benefit from the changes that the Paris terror attacks are bringing about. But is that so? Has Paris really “changed everything?” Well, let’s cast our mind back to those heady days of November 12, 2015, shall we? How does the pre-Friday the 13th world compare to the world of today? Before the attacks, the EU could chide France for missing its budget deficit goals. After the attacks, the EU can try to chide them, but France can swat those concerns aside by invoking the EU’s own protective security clause. Before the attacks, the French could protest a bill granting sweeping new surveillance powers to the intelligence services. After the attacks, the government can grant the police special emergency powers and amend the constitution to make those emergency powers permanent with widespread popular support. …

The West’s Asymmetric Terrorism

by David William Pear The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic. Joseph Stalin The terrorist attacks in Paris were a tragedy, as were the attacks of September 11, 2001 on the United States. The response to those attacks is even less than Stalin’s statistic, since the victims are brown, Arabs, South Asians and Muslims. The numbers of people killed by U.S. “Shock and Awe” (watch) are seldom reported by the main stream media, except when it serves U.S. propaganda purposes, such as the headline that “Assad has killed 250,000 of his own people with barrel bombs”. The public has become obsessed with the fear of Muslim terrorists and has surrendered their own Constitutional rights for a false promise of safety. It is no leap at all for the public to give up the right to life of “Arab” strangers, who have been dehumanized by propaganda. The brutality of ISIL is well publicized for its barbarity, while the murder of innocent people by the West is just thought …

Dmitry Orlov: “a most convenient massacre”

as part of our challenging the narrative of the “new 9/11” series, Dmitry Orlov suggests the Paris attacks were classic false flag events. “… after the Russian jet crashed in the Sinai there weren’t all that many Facebook avatars with the Russian flag pasted over them…What’s the difference? You were told to grieve for the French, so you did. You were not told to grieve for the Russians, and so you didn’t. Don’t feel bad; you are just following orders…” . What a difference a single massacre can make! • Just a week ago the EU couldn’t possibly figure out anything to do to stop the influx of “refugees” from all those countries the US and NATO had bombed into oblivion. But now, because “Paris changed everything,” EU’s borders are being locked down and refugees are being turned back. • Just a week ago it seemed that the EU was going to be swamped by resurgent nationalism, with incumbent political parties poised to get voted out of power. But now, thanks to the Paris massacre, …

‘UK bombed Syria to protect Iraq’: Cameron changes his story in UN letter

Russia Today reports that Britain’s ambassador to the UN is claiming Britain’s killing of Islamic State militants in Syria was legal because the drone strikes that caused the fatalities were launched to defend Iraq. This is in complete divergence from David Cameron’s earlier claims that the strikes were carried out in defence of UK national security. It’s being widely suggested this shifting narrative indicates the questionable legality of the action, given that the UK parliament voted down air strike in Syria back in 2013. Said newly-elected Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn yesterday: The government appears to have used an additional and entirely separate justification for this covert strike in their letter to the UN, which was not mentioned in the prime minister’s statement to parliament. Why did the government cite the [defense] of Iraq when justifying this strike to the UN, but not when doing so to parliament?” Is it because parliament previously voted against action in Syria, making this justification at odds with the will of the Commons? The prime minister cannot face two ways …

Meet the ‘Moderates’ the U.S. Is Supporting in Syria: They’re al-Qaeda

byEric Zuesse, as originally published by Strategic-Culture.org Increasing evidence is coming in that the groups the U.S. is trying to install into power in Syria are actually contending groups of Sunni Islamic jihadists who seem to agree on only one thing: they want to replace the secular government of the Shiite Bashar al-Assad, who is supported by Russia and by Shiite Iran. They want to replace it with a Sunni Islamic government. Some of these groups have perpetrated terrorist attacks (some including beheadings) against Americans, and one such group is even al-Qaeda, the Sunni Islamic organization that, of course, perpetrated the 9/11, 2001, attacks and others. In Syria, al-Qaeda goes under the name Jabhat al-Nusra, or al-Nusra for short. As will be documented here, the United States has, until recently, been allied with al-Nusra, but, because of the bad image this U.S. alliance has spread about al-Nusra among their fellow-Sunnis, al-Nusra is now separating itself from ISIL, the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant, otherwise known as Islamic State in Iraq and Syria or ISIS, …

The West, the Middle East and oil: a conspiracy theory?

by Ian Sinclair at Open Democracy This is a good summary of some of the under-reported realities of the Mid-East situation, though we could offer a caveat to its penultimate para. Is the “chaos and violence” in Libya and elsewhere actually an accidental by-product of US policy? After all one way of “controlling” the oil resources of the Middle East is to destroy infrastructure and thereby remove the country’s ability to mobilise those resources, and there is plenty of evidence that deliberately engendered chaos is perceived by many in Washington as serving US geopolitical interests in the Mid East and beyond Speaking in the House of Commons in January 2003, just two months before the US-UK invasion of Iraq, British Prime Minister Tony Blair stated: The very reason why we are taking the action that we are taking is nothing to do with oil or any of the other conspiracy theories put forward. Blair’s analysis was amplified by newspaper columnist David Aaronovitch who, ironically, would go on to write a book dismissing popular conspiracy theories. …
