DPR offers a new referendum

Speaking last Thursday, DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko announced that the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) authorities are willing to hold another referendum on the status of the republic to advance the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

Decentralization of power is one of the points of the Minsk agreement, worked out in mid-February by the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine, and agreed upon by Kiev and representatives of the self-proclaimed republics.
