Special Service's Agent: Attack On Russia is Being Prepared
While the Pentagon accuses Russia of fomenting false fears of a Daesh/ISIS threat in Central Asia – see Sputnik’s article on this — new reports of an American push to attack Russia militarily via Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and are now emerging. We’re reposting here Catehon’s May 19 article on this topic by Andrey Afanasyev.
Sources in the Russian law enforcement agencies, citing data from closed communication channels with the Defense Ministries of China, Pakistan and Afghanistan, say that the operation to prepare a large-scale hybrid offensive against Russia through Tajikistan and Uzbekistan is in the final phase.
Reports of this have been received earlier, in particular, this was mentioned at a recent security conference held in Tashkent. Then the head of the Tajik Foreign Ministry Sirodzhiddin Aslov openly announced the activation of terrorists in the region:
The activation of terrorist groups, their advancement to the northern regions of Afghanistan, especially in the territories bordering Tajikistan, the increase in the number of ISIS supporters, as well as the participation of a certain number of citizens of the post-Soviet republics in the terrorist groups and movements present in Afghanistan … causes our serious concern
This problem was also voiced at the Seventh Conference on International Security, held recently in Moscow. According to Russian intelligence agencies, at the moment the combat potential of the Islamic State ranges from 2500 to 4000 people. This is also confirmed by sources from the Ministry of Defense of China. The Chinese military claims at least 3,800 militants operating in 160 terrorist cells. Their greatest concentration is in the province of Nangarhar, in which the Islamic State increases the production and smuggling of drugs, as well as creates an infrastructure for the training of terrorists and recruits local people.
The plan
According to Russian and Chinese law enforcement agencies, militants fleeing the sea from Syria and Iraq follow a route from the Qasim port in the Pakistani city of Karachi to Peshawar, and are then distributed along the Nangarhar province in the east of the country. Representatives of the top leadership of the radicals are located in the Achin district.
In addition, it is noted that since late 2017 the leaders of the Islamic State managed to transfer from Syria and Iraq to Afghanistan an additional 500 foreign fighters, including more than two dozen women. A source in one of the Russian law enforcement agencies says:
All of them are also in the province of Nangarhar. They are citizens of Sudan, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, France and so on.
Movement of militants to the north is planned to be organized in two directions. In Tajikistan, the radicals will penetrate the provinces of Nuristan and Badakhshan, and to Turkmenistan — through the provinces of Farah, Ghor, Sari-Pul and Faryab.
The executor
Governor of Nangarhar Province, Gulab Mangal, personally oversees militant activities in the region, which plans to expand its influence over other regions of the country at the expense of the radicals. In addition, he actively participates in the financial activities of the Islamic State, receiving significant profits. The network informs that any protest actions of the population dissatisfied with the activities of the Islamic State are “severely suppressed by the provincial authorities, including through punitive operations against whole settlements.”
Mangal has a long-standing relationship with the US intelligence services. In particular, he fought against the Soviet forces during the Afghan campaign of the USSR. Immediately after the US invasion in 2001, he was appointed as the head of the local government of the Pashtuns, the people to which he belongs. Also, Mangal is loved by the Western press. Most of the publications in the major American and British media contain exceptionally positive information about him, and the BBC called him “the hope of Helmand province,” which Mangal previously headed.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, in the near future the leadership of the Islamic State plans to expand the grouping by another 1,200 militants. Most of them will also be located in the province, under the control of Gulab Mangal and his people.
It is worth noting that the two largest US bases in Afghanistan are in the immediate vicinity of the Nangarhar province, which is hardly worth considering as a coincidence.
At the same time, the expert community points out that the pressure on Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will be only one of the vectors of the new hybrid attack on Russia. Director of the Center for Geopolitical Expertise Valery Korovin is confident that Moscow should prepare for a large-scale offensive of geopolitical opponents on all fronts: in Ukraine, possibly through Armenia, as well as a number of other post-Soviet countries:
The probability of an exacerbation in Central Asia
Why do Americans do this?
Destabilizing the situation in Central Asia, the US and its allies will achieve several goals at once. First, in this way, Washington can distract Moscow and Tehran from Syria. Secondly, if the operation succeeds, a focus of instability will be created along the path of the One-Belt-One-Road project, which is designed to strengthen the economic and logistical integration of Eurasia. Afghanistan also borders Iran in the west, which opens a new front against Tehran if necessary.is extremely high. It will happen synchronously with the exacerbation in several directions. Starting with economic pressure through new sanctions, ending with “color revolutions” that will continue in the post-Soviet space, and direct aggression from American networks. Obviously, the United States did not seize Afghanistan, by rigging its military dictatorship there, in order to build democracy and civil society there. This is a springboard for the creation of terrorist networks, with the help of which the US is preparing an aggression against Iran and Russia.

John McCain has brain cancer.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/19/us/politics/john-mccain-brain-cancer.html
Although McCain is a pukesomely vicious and unpleasant man, it probably demeans us all to rejoice in his suffering. I don’t give a damn about this evil piece of crap myself – but probably he has relatives who will miss him when he’s gone?
But as you say – karma. He did nothing good in this world, and will not be missed when he goes.
Agreed. A human, however evil he or she might be, when suffering greatly from illness or injuries is just as deserving of compassion as is a good human in such a position — when we are very ill or injured and suffering greatly, our personality disappears to make room only for the suffering. Also, as you wrote, there are the suffering person’s loved ones – spouses, parents, children, siblings, friends – who are also deeply affected by the person’s suffering, and they too deserve our understanding and compassion. Schadenfreude has no place in such instances. If we do not extend that compassion but indulge in schadenfreude in such instances, we are neither good nor decent people.

RT reports: ISIS claims responsibility for attack on Orthodox church in Chechnya
https://www.rt.com/news/427257-isis-responsibility-grozny-attack/
@Saporito & Savory. Do you still think this thread savours of “nothing” & “fishing for news”?
Reblogged this on Susanna Panevin.
Vasca, very good article. Immensively comprehensive. But don’t you think that the russian FSB and the chinese secret service are fully aware of this development and are capable to disrupt these peoples’ activities at the wink of Vladimir Putin’s and Xi Jin-Ping’s fingers? Also, the iranian VEVAK isn’t comprised of nose pickers also. To me this has a taste of three cats watching a group of mice flocking together and waiting until dusk until they will have dinner. I smell a giant terrorist trap in the making, which will finish off these US proxies by the thousands once the trap will spring.
There has been news that security forces in Chechnya saw off a bunch of gunmen who had held up a Christian church in Groznyy to kingdom come so the Chechens at least are well aware of the jihadi terrorist threat to their region. Earlier in April, nine people in a terrorist plot were “neutralised” in a shootout in Derbent, in neighbouring Dagestan.

China is also monitoring the terrorist threat that the Uyghur separation / indpendence movement poses to its western borders, as that movement is under Turkish influence. Most Southeast Asian nations have been notified by China to extradite any Uyghur travellers using fake Turkish passports.

It could be said that the Silk Road Economic Belt project has a security aspect attached in that one way of neutralising insurrection and terrorism is to bring economic development to impoverished areas that have been neglected for decades.
Independence movement should not be equated with terrorism . However , it is true that USA /UK are using ISIS / fundamentalist groups to create instability . This is not a new policy . UK did the same during its colonial period , UK also used the same policy ( arming Islamic fundamentalists ) inside Saudi Arabia and then blaming the Saudi King because they wanted to concessions from him . This was slighly before the first world war . However , this geo political manouveres should not illegitimate the rightful aspiration of Muslims both in China and Russia . They have been suffering and being used for a long time
I’m sure they do and hope things will go as you expect.
A question for you:
Do you support the banning of Lemkin’s article on the Soviet genocide of Ukraine by Putin’s government?
This was actioned in 2015 and it is now illegal to distribute this article in Russia.
Do you have a link to the full text of the article in question? I’m not familiar with its contents.
And unsurprisingly, no such link was ever posted…
Lemkin’s article was written in the context of the Cold War and in the full knowledge that it would be used in the service of his new homeland against the USSR. Lemkin had absolutely no access to archive material in the early 50s concerning the famine of 1932 in Soviet Ukraine.
Further, many of his assertions, such as that the Ukrainians were entirely different as a nation from the Russians, reveal the extent of his ignorance on the subject and his biased determination to produce a verdict in the service of Cold war propaganda, regardless of facts and rational explanations.
Of course, the fact that you labeled a nationwide famine – which was partly caused by the ruthless policies of the Soviet government – as a genocide speaks volumes about your own convictions and objectivity on the issue. If there were genocidal policies unleashed upon the Soviet Ukrainians, these came from the invading Nazis and their Galician collaborators, whom you probably glorify.
Next we’ll be hearing how the west were actually behind Tajikistan’s civil war in 92-97. Let’s forget that these territories are riven by old clan rivalries – exacerbated by the Soviet’s preferential treatment of certain clans and treatment of mountain people, hundreds of thousands of whom were forcibly “re-settled” to lowland agricultural areas. (LIke the “Gharmis”).
Tajikistan already had tens of thousands of casualties in a 5 year civil war that had little to do with the West or US and everything to do with domestic corruption and clan oppression. A major player in that war was the Islamist faction. Basically Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have been ripe for Islamist insurrection since being cut loose from the USSR.
US, UK and coalition ISR and special forces have remained active in Afghanistan’s north — not in any way to stir up more trouble for themselves by encouraging more Salafist or ISIS activity, (on any side of the border) but to track / hunt ISIS targets that are now viewed as the priority enemy – vying with the Taliban to see who can pull off the worst mass bombing atrocities.
Yes, the US did stupidly let the Salafist genie out of the bottle to help hasten the end of the Soviet empire’s dictatorship… Sadly the clowns didn’t learn their lesson when al-Qaeda emerged — and they again listened to Saudi claims that they could use Salafist proxies to remove Assad who’d refused a gulf gas transit pipeline. And the government in Kabul undoubtedly has opted to deal with Mangal (and other unsavoury leaders) as a pragmatic matter.
But the coalition forces are not actively involved in “hybrid” or as the GRU calls it, when operating in Ukraine – new generation warfare against Tajikistan or Uzbekistan. I wonder if the author is aware of what these terms actually mean in military terms.
The US/coalition forces are not pursuing disinformation campaigns against these nations, not sending in operatives disguised as locals, not supplying heavy weaponry or intelligence to insurgent groups…
Please spare us your mendacious garbage. The USA and its stooges, primarily the Sordid Arabian death-squad despotism that supplies the Evil Wahhabist ideology that drives the takfiri butchers, are the global creators, patrons, protectors and financers of jihadist butchery. From 1953 in Iran, where the CIA used Moslem thugs to overthrow Mossadegh, through 1965 where Moslem butchers did the killing of two million in Indonesia on the USA’s orders, up to the creation by the USA et al of al-Qaeda (your ‘..al-Qaeda emerged..’, as if the USA had nothing to do with it, is a truly Hitlerite ‘Big Lie’) in Afghanistan in the 1980s, and on from then to Bosnia, Kosovo, Chechnya, Algeria, Lebanon, Libya, Xinjiang, Syria, Mali etc, etc.
The USA created Daash, and after the fall of Mosul and Raqqa allowed the surviving butchers to escape to refuge in north-eastern Syria, for some R & R and re-training for new adventures in the future. And they spent FIVE BILLION in Ukraine to install true fascists in power through a violent putsch, complete with the usual ‘ mysterious sniper’ killings, a real trade-mark that says ‘Made in the USA’. Are you paid for this sludge, that inverts reality and brutalises the facts?
Mumblebrain,
Please do not accuse me of lying when I merely gave observations and opinion, pretty well informed re the current situation. Do you want it to appear that your remarks have the screeching cat clawing venom and hallmark of the hysterical ‘chip on shoulder’ SJW’s that take rightful scepticism beyond objective inquiry and analysis — and into the realm of the bitter and rude permanently disaffected malcontents?
Are you acquainted with any senior directors or on-the-ground NATO forces of such as the Balkans intervention? Where NATO (albeit late in the day) actually enforced a peace and pursued war criminals? Or with ISAF ISR or special forces? Have you any relatives deployed? Are you deployed?
Do you have any more insight on recent military events than what you can scrape from your favoured websites? No? Then perhaps take stock and consider how the real world works and has always worked.
Away from the bounds of modern western civilisation the world is a somewhat more dangerous place. Major nations have strategic interests. Major F ups also occur in the arena. Hitler…Stalin…Mao… Soviet Russia. (All idealogical/ party dictatorships responsible for the oppression and deaths of tens of millions) Hitler was by no means the Olympic champ at deliberate cold blooded murdering. And yes undoubtedly the US has made major foreign policy blunders resulting in a great many deaths.
But they are not currently involved in a plot in northern Afghanistan / Uzbekistan / Tajikistan, to assist any</> expansion of the worst manifestation of Salafist terrorism that they allowed the Gulf states to germinate in the middle east. And I can assure you that UK forces are not engaged in any such endeavour. On the contrary – they now actively hunt all irreconcilable Islamic terrorists in that region.
Struan, you said that the USA let the Salafist cat out of the back, when they emptied that cat out of the bag deliberately. And you also said ‘.. they (the US) didn’t learn their lesson when al-Qaeda EMERGED..’, as if it was some sort of accident in which the USA had no role. As everyone knows, the USA DELIBERATELY created al-Qaeda, and has used it over and over again as a tool to attack countries from Mali to Xinjiang. So, I’m afraid you must either be lying, or be so tragically ignorant and ill-informed that pity would be more appropriate, save that you are muddying the waters in regard to ongoing genocide, so contempt might be more appropriate. Certainly when you follow up with yet more disinformatipon regarding NATO, the UK and the USA, including the loathsomely risible assertion that the USA’s unrivalled death-toll of victims killed and countries destroyed happened by unhappy accident, by ‘blunders’, when that is TOTAL disinformation GARBAGE.
So, horrific crimes are now described as ”blunders”, eh? And you have the brazen temerity to accuse others for cold blooded murdering. This is first grade supremacism all right, but like most self-righteous hypocrites in the western world, you wouldn’t know it.
Western collusion with Islamist fighters goes beyond the support provided to the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan and the Islamist rebels in Syria.
Here is an interview with Mark Curtis who has done extensive research on the UK’s involvement with radical islam:
https://www.opendemocracy.net/uk/ian-sinclair/britain-s-collusion-with-radical-islam-interview-with-mark-curtis
I have no doubt that the US and the UK will exploit any opportunity to destabilize the Russian Federation and Iran in conjunction with their propaganda war and the economic sanctions that are destined to damage their economies. They will undoubtedly keep track of Islamist radicals in neighboring countries in view of using them whenever that may appear conductive to their aims.
So we’re not interfering then? Sweet, doesn’t sound like something we’d be doing.
Do you bother to research before posting? Or are you a CIA assett, there to obfuscate the truth?
The West did capitalise on clan ‘differences’ by ‘offering’ their services to Emomali Rahmon.

All U.S. expansions begin with ‘improving’ the infrastructure and getting the host country into debt to the World Bank.
The Islamic Insurection you speak of was provided courtesy of the CIA:
Bin Laden aka CIA agent Tim Osman was a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan.
Al-Qaida, literally “the database”, was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen (young student dissidents) who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians. Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences. After he died of ‘natural causes’ the gap needed to be filled…. **

Bin Laden died of natural causes five years before the US staged the pantomime in Abbottabad to allegedly assassinate OBL.: Former CIA agent

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden
**US/ Britain/France/Israel/Saudi realised what an asset ‘Armies of terrorists’ could be.. So James le Mesurier ex SAS mercenary waschosen and paid millions in a USAID budget to recruit and train a bespoke army of ‘terrorists’ primed and ready to deploy to any situation where regime change or Oil resources could be plundered.

Al-Qaeda in Syria was known as al-Nusra Front, and Israel had the responsibility of protecting them on the occupied Golan Heights. So much so that the Quneitra Gate onto Syria became known by the locals as the ‘Nusra Gate’. Daash are a more diverse group of Wahhabist butchers, recruited and trained by the USA in Iraq at Camp Bucca.
We can but hope Michael.
I was also wondering what was the prurpose of Netty’s visit to Russia? I do hope Vladimer Putin can see through his two faces.
Perhaps Netty was warning him to back off Syria/Iran et al, if he wants the World Cup to go ahead without incidents, exactly as Prince Bandar did prior to the Sochi games?
https://consortiumnews.com/2013/12/31/the-russian-saudi-showdown-at-sochi/
I heard that at a previous meeting with Putin, Nutty yahoo was knocked back in some of his demands, and the insolence of the goy sent him into such a funk, that he needed to be restrained. A valuable carppet was badly chewed. Oh, to be a fly on the wall.
I would imagine if this is true then it is ill conceived and liable to backfire spectacularly. In a way I hope it is true for, short of deployment of U.S./proxies in N.E. India, nothing but nothing is more likely to provoke China to commit boots on the ground than such a threat to it’s plans for the New Silk Road. It may even provoke a formal military alliance between Russia and China which, at this time, is sorely needed.
Reblogged this on circusbuoy.
This has to be read in the context of yesterday’s factoid to the effect that more American school kids had died violently in the last year than US military personnel : proxy militias, which originated as cunning plans, deniable interventions, cheap, and easily mobilised, have come to be nothing more than substitutes for the ‘draft’.
They are also telling projections of the deep(est) fears of the US ruling class: that the people- that majority of minorities- the downtrodden descendants of slaves, ‘wetbacks’, ‘coolies’ and the disenfranchised working class in general, whose living standards and expectations have been plummeting, are close to an explosion, besides which the sectarian nit picking among muslims will look very tame and restrained.
The US specialises in fomenting internecine strife abroad because it has no idea of how to deal with it at home. Thus it is that ‘populism’ in 21st Century America begins by promising to expel all foreigners and swiftly morphs into cutting corporate taxes. This after all is a country in which candidates for office, before testing their appeal to public opinion, see how well their message will resonate among the tiny ‘donor class.’
And which particular group makes c. half of US political ‘donations’? Answers must pass the ‘Goodthink’ test.
I am interested in the relationships that might take shape between the Taliban and Daesh. On the one hand, they are both extreme Sunni fundamentalists. On the other hand, the Taliban do feel (with much justification) that Afghanistan is their country, and they may resent the irruption of foreigners – especially arrogant, violent, dictatorial foreigners. I think Osama bin Laden’s “mujahideen” gave the Taliban a bellyful of armed foreigners.
Maybe Russia, China and Pakistan ought to make diplomatic approaches to the Taliban. If they can be persuaded to confine their activities to Afghanistan, a modus vivendi might be found. After all, when all’s said and done, the Taliban are Asians and should make common cause with their fellow Asians against the American invaders rom the other side of the world.
Before backwoods Christian Jimmie Carter and his friend Osama Bush-Laden, came along with their backwoods Wahabi fanatics, Afghanistan was a backpackers paradise with coffee bars, bookshops and women in short skirts. Some of the older Taliban (especially the women) might remember those times and be keen to get back to them. The victory of secular socialist Syria over the Wahabeasts might even catalyse this return to the path of progress. Which may be why Uncle $cam is plotting another retrograde war in that region?
“I am interested in the relationships that might take shape between the Taliban and Daesh.”
The appearance of Daesh in Afghanistan has led to an increase of terrorism because the Taliban have to show that they can pull off terror attacks just like Daesh. Without Daesh, the Taliban would probably keep a low profile and wait to take over Afghanistan after Western troops have left. But since Daesh has now entered the scene with spectacular attacks, the Taliban are forced to do the same so their fighters won’t desert them to join Daesh.
I think the Taliban are the only force in Afghanistan that can pacify the country. Corrupt Western puppets will leave the country for asylum in Europe before that last Western soldier has left.
Daash is the Real Axis of Evil-the USA, Sordid Arabia and Eretz Yisrael. It will appear everywhere that they wish to kill and destroy.
ridiculous! daesh/is/whatever turning up in afghanistan means that the us and uk think they can still use afghanistan to destabilise the region! it’s been 17 years, everyone else knows how to deal with that crap!
China is building a connection of high speed rail routes to Europe, transiting Central Asia. These routes make the US Navy 11 carrier groups control of the Maritime trade choke points largely redundant.
This undermines the US dollar as the trading currency. The dollar is the Achilles heel of the US .The original plan was to go via SYRIA AND iRAN, they have proved too difficult.
This plan is laid out in Sir Halford Mackendries, Heartland Theory and plagiarised by Zbigniew Brzezinski in his Grand Chessboard book.
Who controls Central Asia controls the world island.
AfGhanisatn and Tajikstan are the soft underbelly of Russia.
China is opening up to US finance capital, recently lifting restrictions to allow 51% ownership for some enterprises. Their SOEs, which are now part privatised, raise capital in Hong Kong (H-bonds) and Macau – which are secrecy jurisdictions …so the ‘Eurodollar’ investment is totally unregulated (i.e. open to capitalism’s blood money). It is expected that as the Yuan strengthens, they will incrementally decrease regulations to allow 100% ownership. This is what Trump’s phoney trade war is about. (See for instance Jack Rasmus’ blog). Whatever this is about, undermining the dollar is not the answer. The dollar is doing quite well out of it. The superclass Masters of Money invest in both sides, create turbulence, and watch their investments soar. We watch the outer form and try and make sense of it …well the idea that China offers some alternative Community of Common Destiny doesn’t bear scrutiny. All they offer is a sub-imperial dollar vassal that is the engine of global ecological catastrophe.
i’ll listen to you when the gold backed yuan dies on its arse! you’ve had nearly 50 years of a paper dollar, the world is worse, not better!
The de-dollarisation myth is part of China’s SDR strategy (see for instance Barry Eichengreen). The Yuan will not be a new reserve currency (not unless they eventually switch from an export to import economy). If they manage to engineer the SDR as a singular reserve currency, the world could well be far worse than it is now. Humanity will be owned.
BTW: the petroyuan is yuan denominated, but it accepts dollars in and pays dollars out. Also, there is a phenomena termed “backwardisation”: which means you can purchase long term oil futures for less than the current price …which could challenge the validity of all futures contracts, unless the price of oil falls below $70. If it does, that brings its own risks. So, careful what you wish for.
Frankly these are Russian-Chinese joint projects. Very little of the track lies in China. Russia is building the track between the Chinese border (across Kazakhstan) and the Belarus border with Poland, along with the overhead electrics. The rolling stock is planned to be German-bought locos (Siemens – these are already operating within Russia) and Russian-built carriages.
Look for the next terrorist attack on this line then?

Oh dear… I was afraid something like that was in the making, what with all the “rebels” being evacuated to Idlib.
I was just thinking exactly the same thing: indeed many years ago, my first thought was that, after the pseudo chasing of the western backed ISIS & various terror cells from Syria, where would they flee to .. so , i studied the maps & reached exactly your conclusion.
The death of Jacky Sutton R.i.P. in Ataturk Int. Airport Istanbul, (NATO security & Cameras so useless ? !) on transit stop to the Idlib/Erbil region, (after her predecessor was car bombed, she returning from the Funeral) was definitely the moment when everybody had to realise this inevitability ..
Teaming up with Taliban elements was one possibility , (but that has no long term future or purpose), otherwise why have so many redundant incapable troops still in Afghanistan, where NATO forces even bombed the Doctors without Borders / MSF hospital in all their deliberately pre-meditated incompetent ‘glory’ ! ? (calling for more, now 😉 )
Iran was a definite no go for the Israeli Secret Intelligence Services forces of ISIS , so ..
Now we know .. a slim corridor, onto Russia and make it look like the revenge of the Mujahideen !
I reckon that Osama Bin Laden calculated this also, a long time ago, thus the last thing they wanted was him involved in any Court proceedings subsequently, to speak openly! Best label him with 9/11 and kill him, which the Lawyer Obama signed off on , (so ignorantly with glee ! it seemed .. ) whatever, it was a blatant murder and extra-judcial killing that Obama should have been against, as a matter of legal principle & precedent, & recording Truth 9/11 in history.
Ideal to destabilise the regions of China’s New Silk Road & attack Russia ..
Two birds one stone, win win !
Destroying more Culture ..
Thanatopia allowed thousands of Daash killers to escape Raqqa, and find shelter in north-eastern Syria. Other Daash vermin fleeing Iraq were also given sanctuary there, where they are undoubtedly being re-trained for further use against Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and China and Russia. The USA has utilised death-squads, particularly Wahhabist butchers, for decades, as part of their global subversion and genocide projects.
Huge fan of off-guardian, but don’t see what a completely unsourced article like this adds to the site.
I had the same thought. It seems more like fishing for news to me rather than actual news. I think when nothing is happening, no need to look for something awful to report. Just leave the articles that are relevant and people will check again another day.
If this event actually takes place, do you really believe you’d find details on a website? This idea that ‘everything is on the www’ is a pervasive myth on this site, sadly.
Perhaps this is the kind of ‘documentary backup’ others here are looking for? Do you think these people were recruited from a website ??

Why are you on a website?
Hoping to find or spread truth?
What is sourced is Kazahkstan dropping Cyrillic for the Latin alphabet, and opening a visa-regime for US passports.
Forget Uzbek & Tajik . I could tell you more, but then I would have to kill you.

China’s got Russia’s back on this one: they’re in the same situation with Islamists and so are all the SCO members. It’s up to all of them to defuse this and I expect they will. It will be a damp squib.
This development has all the hallmarks of John Bolton’s filthy paws on it. Poverty and backwardness are the legacy of decades of misrule in Uzbekistan, and even more so in the narcotics hellhole of Tajikistan. A little American money goes a long way there, and recruiting an army of discontented loons is even easier than in Ukraine. People who have nothing left to lose make remarkably pliant supporters.
The two previous comments surprisingly reinforced what I was going to write myself, about the latest speech by Rev. Nasr’Allah.
ttps://thesaker.is/hassan-nasrallah-on-trump-iran-and-syrian-strikes-in-occupied-golan/
The Reverend’s speech boils down to this, “We have learnt not to trust Uncle $cam”.
And I was going to comment how similar it sounds to readers comments currently BTL in the Indie.
The Indy stopped being a credible newspaper years ago. The remarks below the line in the Indie are a paid-to-post troll-fest, mostly written by just 2-3 individuals under a huge variety of nicknames. It’s shilling on the most basic level – someone sets up the bowling-pins, so that their friend can come and knock them down.
Gobby Tominson is still a ‘hero’ in the Indy.
@Reiner. I agree with your first sentence; the Indie’s owners — a Russian oligarch traitor who fled to Brinain with his loot, and a Saudi businessman — are on the side of the AZC (except for their criticism of Israel). But I honestly believe that most opinions BTL are genuine. By my reckoning the majority of Indie readers comments are anti-AZC, pro-Putin and pro-Corbyn. Call me naive but I think it is the small but persistent band of AZC trolls who are being bowled over like ninepins.
You could be right there 🙂 I rarely go to the Indy these days. Although back in the 1990s I used to write for them.
Why would you assume that Saudi Arabian businessmen in general are now any more than cosmetically critical of Israel, especially since the more prominent amongst them have enjoyed the free, ever-stocked bar fridges in their lavish suites at the Riyadh Ritz-Carlton, courtesy Rabbi Mohammad bin Salman?
Why, are you saying that in addition to being held upside by their ankles by Erik Prince’s mercenaries and having their pocket money and other crap beaten out of them, the Saudi Arabian businessmen are also being stuffed into the bar fridges?

Thank you for that link: fascinating. The attack on the Foreign Minister of Bahrain was fun “you idiot, moron, pervert, traitor!”.
How disgusting to expend most of your time attempting to harm other peoples! The US is a force for evil in the World!
Somehow even a phrase like – “completely amoral psychopathic idiots” – doesn’t really seem to do justice to this level of absolute moral and ethical corruption.
