I caught a whiff of Ali’s fakery a while back. I forget what it was exactly, but this discussion doesn’t surprise me. I haven’t hear from him, or read anything by him, in a long, long time. I think that if he was a progressive, then by now one of the dozens of sites I visit regularly would have carried something by him. I’m just guessing, but it seems to me that that suggests that others are onto Ali.

I didn’t even know about them until recently. The Haredi were looked at in an article by Miko Peled. You won’t hear about them in the corporate media. (I have no use for some of their religious beliefs.) What is striking about the Haredi is that they not only reject the Israeli State, but they reject it for right reasons.

Hmm. Maybe I’ll add Unz to my mainstream media bookmarks folder. I click on those links less often than I click on my alt/progressive links, but I sometimes visit them. One Conservative, or rightwing, site I visit often is The Duran. Their Trump- and State-worship makes me sick, but Alexander Mercouris really does dig into things and informs himself and I often agree with him on matters. I stopped visiting Unz years ago because of what I found there. But these days, I’m just as disappointed by what I find on progressive sites, ergo…

I have a problem with Edward Curtain but I had no problem with his above article. It was interesting and informative, if not a happy article.

To say the least. The folks at The Grayzone seems solid enough (and if they’ve come around to rejecting darkness, that’s good), but they (Max, Rania, Ben) do have a spotty history as progressives. I would not have dived into that subject were it not for some things about Max’s recent book, “The Management Of Savagery,” that I found to be off. I make similar points all the time. Without even intending to I ended up making such points (leftwing traitors and gatekeepers for the establishment) in a series of blog posts titled “Progressives.” That’s the world we live in – for now. I also deleted my link (on my blog) to Michael Hudson. He belongs to that awful, fakey International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. I like Michael and always enjoyed listening to him or reading his articles. But it occurs to me that, as I don’t know economics and have to trust others to inform on economics, it makes no sense to trust Michael on economics, or anything, now that I know that he’s a member of ICIJ, which I ‘do’ know is bad. I have arrived, sadly, at the point where I think that among self-identified progressives, only a minority is genuine.
