The numbers are cooked.

Even if you died of something else while being infected you are counted as dying from covid-19. So the numbers have been over inflated and not just in the U.S.

I am surprised you don’t know this being as you are on Off Guardian, you must have seen the reporting on this issue.

Turkish TV channels tend to show a rather large amount of police violence, but it is hard to avoid the impression that this is done to intimidate – “go on a demo or protest, and this will happen to you”.

If CV19 was allowed to simply ‘do it’s thing’ without any NPI’s, then the majority of the fatalities would happen over a short period of time, possible a couple of weeks.
So 0.1% of say 25 million people is 25,000, all happening in a short period, is this acceptable for society?
This is the nature of a novel virus that we have no immunity for.
Whether the strict lockdowns were actually necessary, is another argument altogether.
