Good. I use Firefox, and Qwant as a search engine. As for emails I got two, one is google because sometimes I have to contact the US where I don’t live but some over there are iffy so that a dot.com email has them know I’m a US entity because the server is there. I even ended up on their Democratic Party emails. I was treasured, a was valued and every email wanted money.

Both Facebook & Google and other monopoly apps should be socialized into public non-commercial Public Commons utilities managed by the People’s Library of Congress decoupled from all political influence or alteration and overseen by the People to assure neutrality and serviceability without tracking, surveillance or nefarious bullshit of any kind. Once the Library of Congress is established as a Public Utility a number of needed non-commercial public services can be added like assisted research searches and graphics visualization assistance from well paid, removed-from-politics, public employees. Just imagine having jobs that actually help fellow 99% instead of being used as fodder for the schemes of the former owner class 1%. Yes we can. This is our humanity and our self-governing can be collectively managed for and by us. Self-governing direct democracy Town Halls and Workplaces. Authoritarian capitalism and FAKE republic… goodbye! Just the beginning of a new day. 🙂

Remember to use their app, not their web interface. Similar with Signal: use their app not their PC extension. Otherwise? Throw out every app* that has alternative web access and of the remainder throw out every app you don’t really, really need. All that will not get you ‘secure’ but it might (though not necessarily will) help a little.

* That is every app you know you have installed, which is not necessarily every app that has been installed since you got the device or every app that is easily visible to you.

Couple freedom solutions:

https://sentinel.co/ The Sentinel Network hosts open-source distributed and decentralized applications that provide users with assurance that their session information is not being logged, their communication is not being stored, and that not even the creator of the application can view any of their data.

https://pirate.black/ Pirate Chain (ARRR) is a 100% private send cryptocurrency. It uses a privacy protocol that cannot be compromised by other users activity on the network. Most privacy coins are riddled with holes created by optional privacy. Pirate Chain uses ZK-Snarks to shield 100% of the peer to peer transactions on the blockchain making for highly anonymous and private transactions.

Some may get spied on, and have additional features to keep day-to-day more secure – but Google are themselves spies!

If all were being successfully spied on, why would the crooked politicians be eager to legislate against encryption?

Also – why enrich the spying services? Give a few quid a year to a privacy respecting company.

If you want encrypted, then tutanota are very secure. (Free option is anonymous).

But wouldn’t the crooks like us to give up, surrender?

It is pure laziness, ingrained in people nowadays, to still use Google email, search engine FB, Twatter, etc.

I keep a Win7 partition too (old printer drivers, CAD stuff that runs only on Win) otherwise Linux.
But Yahoo!? They exceeded the level of surveillance asked by n es aye! Try https://posteo.de/en/site/features and import all your yahoo folders and posteo will check yahoo every 10 mins for new mail.

(I don’t have shares in posteo, honest. I couldn’t anyway – they have no investors, no debt, and promise they will never sell the business!)

Hip, hip, …. as we say, and cheers.

Just 3 weeks and we should be flatting the curve.

My only problem, with the alternive Video channels, like bitchute is more practical in nature, because what they lack, is an addres line like the YT have witch provides an intant liknage to the video witch is reputely to be served.
Its anoying to go to the various home sites and seak there witch turns out resluts witch is highly questionable or is it because the programin sircus dont work well, lord knows.

Well done. It’s a pity so many intelligent people still use google gmail, in spite of all its scanning of content on behalf of the (3 letters). Ditto of course hotmail, yahoo …

A way out for people is to use Posteo email, 12 Euros per year, and you can migrate your existing mail a/cs folders to posteo inbox, then it offers the option to check your gmail etc. every 10 minutes 24/7 for new mail, no extra charge. (I don’t have shares!)

I never use GPS – US military satellites, FCS! A good maps service is on the Qwant search engine, no tracking cookies, and good route planner there.

I almost always leave my phone in the car, though most others have their listening devices with them!

Opera for android/iOS at least, and possibly the desktop version are now owned by a Chinese Corporation who kept the name and bought the companies intellectual property and assets in 2016 for 600 million. A great dissapointment to me, as I have used their browsers since the 1990s with satisfaction on multiple operating systems… One might conclude that if their inbuilt VPN is run by the same company, then the data is not only piped through china, but will be subject to Chinese government data collection systems.

See here for more info and very good tips: https://restoreprivacy.com/browser/secure/

While we are on that note, I’ll mention that duckduckgo dot com, use or used to utilise yandex in russia as their “engine” meaning the server software arrangement which sorts and collates the data. The analytics data is likely piped to russia over encrypted connections, undetectable to people outside their corporate network. (This last sentence is pure speculation, and I cannot prove it.)

This is or used to be mentioned buried deep in their blogs. Anyone can find this information for themselves, with a little digging and careful reading.

Leave google. Leave FedsBook. Leave Twitter. Leave Instagram. Leave Microsoft. Leave tech and government. Leave the concept of authority behind. Take back your life and independent thought.

Every single problem we are experiencing comes from the concept of authority and the belief in authority. So why do people continue to believe in a concept that creates a class system where a select few have the power and wealth of kings and the rest are slaves, at the mercy of that false authority?

It was rhetorical but thanks anyway. What I’m hoping is that more people will stop looking to government to rescue them and start realizing government is enslaving them and murdering them.

Government is their only problem. Not capitalism. Or corrupt corporations or billionaire eugenicists. None of that can exist without force over humanity by governments. Governments themselves are the tools of enslavement. They commit governing by force through unlawful taxation and threat of violence and trick men and women into conferring legitimacy and authority where it does not belong and is unnecessary.

And people are agreeing to their own enslavement and their children’s. At a time when depopulation is obviously occurring through multiple methods including the injectable pathogen. These measures by governments will likely lead to their own death and their children’s if people continue to submit to a false an immoral authority.

So why not call out the criminality and stop appealing to government for their rights by simply declaring governments unfit to rule and dismissing them entirely? This must happen at some point. Otherwise the planned depopulation will continue. And with the depopulation comes the slave system. The system of power and control over people’s lives, livelihoods and bodies creates the conditions for democide and suffering.

Here DownUnder there is S.F.A. about anything other than- the same same same since the beginning- and the doctors are the offenders wearing masks. I am trying to find the size of the gap in them in nanometers because at Quanta science magazine I read the nearest virus to Covid 19 [because this bugger can’t be found] is at 100 nanometers. The UN WHO website, and three hours later, nothing but generic fudging, and a lot of explanations without any credible details. WHO is turning into an inverted t.a.r.d.i.s. that is turning into its own vertex-sphincter regarding any relevent information and data not acceptable to the digital elite.

Yesterday I was intermittently watching a fellow passenger’s phone on the subway. He was watching TikTok: I have never seen such a stream of garbage, but this passenger was addicted, he was staring at the screen as if mesmerized, no facial response at all, just filling up his brain with a progression of utter inanity. What happened to thinking?

wardropper

I suppose it all boils down to the fact that thinking requires composure.
Modern media are everywhere, and they kill composure, also killing thinking in turn.

The open battle with the demons began in the 1950s, and basically they won ages ago.
As a large group, mankind has lost the thread altogether.

As individuals, there is always hope – even individuals in small groups can learn and be creative – but once you get beyond about 100 individuals together, the demons start to do all the talking.

Just look at our Parliament… look at Congress and the Senate… look at anything political today. It’s all demonic, nihilistic, violence-encouraging and too dense to support intelligent life.

However, we constantly underestimate what each one of us can do with our individual gifts. Let’s polish those gifts and have them ready for action when a brighter future dawns… It will dawn, but it’s certainly not in a hurry.

You are absolutely correct, the distraction of media prevents people from exploring their own minds.

I was initially going to reply by saying that we should encourage boredom, but then when I see the rubbish on TikTok I cannot believe that the individual involved is not bored by the videos, but he seemed to have no way of detaching from the hypnotising force of the videos.

I am going to guess that the movement on the videos must be feeding some part of the brain – probably related to survival – that keeps them watching and prevents them from focusing on their own thoughts. Seems to me to be trained behaviour – too much watching videos as kids.

And yet you link directly to a youtube (alphabet/google corporation) hosted video… Oh the irony. While you make some valid points, the reality of the matter is that we would collapse into anarchy without governments, laws, police and intelligence services, hospitals, councils and taxes to fund shared public services, etc.

I would personally rephrase your statement to “Every single problem we are experiencing comes from the concept of authority and the belief in *Corruption*”. Corruption is the problem, and will continue to be so within democracies, the UN/WHO, and the now mega-corporates dominating the world because of a lack of proper regulation. ‘Revolving doors’ of employment and insider trading, continue the decay amongst many other contributing facets, to the process.

Anarchy. You don’t even know what it means. We would not devolve into anything that’s any worse than we are currently experiencing. If you think we need police, courts, public hospitals, you are simply delusional. Governments cannot supply what any society needs if all the institutions it supplies (including every single one you named) are degenerate and corrupt. These institutions kill more people than they save.

It has nothing to do with REGULATION. No person has the authority to control another’s life.

We are already stuck within the criminality of governments that racketeer and collude with corporations and criminal cartels such as central banks and alphabet agencies to annihilate people and you are scared of a word you don’t understand? Anarchy is not chaos or violence or disorder. It is the absence of statism. That is ALL.

The video is the only link I can find that states the problem accurately and talks about natural law. If there’s no other choice I will link to YouTube, not because I support it but because the words and message are more powerful than the platform where the message is hosted. It’s not as if ANY of the video platforms that currently operate hosting videos are free of censorship, data collection or backdoor defense department control and surveillance. But you are obfuscating with your ludicrous and false criticisms.

There is always corruption where power exists. It’s the nature of the power itself. Power corrupts.

If folks here decide to use a different search engine, be aware that some of them piggyback on Google eg, anonymising results for the user, but it’s still using google’s ranking/search engine. we’re still waiting for anybody to produce an actual security hole from the completely open source code for TOR.

and yes, we know that the spooks fund it, and use it themselves. that’s why they want it to work well.

Indeed. But even smart people like Patrick Henningsen and folks who visit OG seem to go with the flow rather than show independence. I would have no clue about Tor if it hadn’t been for Yasha Levine’s book titled “Surveillance Valley.” I’ve got very little in the way of tech smarts. But what’s the use of learning if you don’t let that learning influence your thinking and behavior in profitable ways?

In the case of Patrick Henningsen, I reached out and somewhere there, not Patrick, thought my concerns were worth addressing. (21st Century Wire profits from promoting Brave.) He or she may or may not have tried to make that so. I have no idea. I was informed by that person that Brave comes with the Tor off by default. I don’t know anything about it. But I trust Tor as far as I can throw a tank. As for Yasha Levine, I thought his book was excellent. But he has turned out to be a covid crazy. He certainly wasn’t respectful to me.

It seems that way. I use DDG just because I don’t know of a search engine that isn’t compromised or in some way bad. James Corbett soured on it some time ago and I think it was he who noted that Google thinks DuckDuckGo is just peachy. Browsers, search engines, operating systems. It’s hopeless. You still have to try to dodge the evil, but to truly that in this evil world is impossible.

I’ve had to switch to Vivaldi from Pale Moon, which (Pale Moon) I like and which is fine. But it looks like it’s being hobbled by Google, which dominates and wants to keep everyone trapped in it’s realm and so it rejects browser advancements that might allow people to try other browsers. At least that’s what I got from a discussion thread that I started in the Pale Moon forums but which quickly became way too technical for me to follow. My thread was called “Gotta Go.”

As for Vivaldi, We’ll see. So far so good but are they anti-Google (a vaccine company among other things) when they remove my comments from their forums because a flood of people quickly complained that they were dangerous? I only said enough that people could see that I wasn’t buying the hoax, but that was enough. The covid crazies aren’t dangerous. I’m dangerous. That’s this world for you. Now that could have just been the crazies using Vivaldi. The moderator didn’t diss me. She or he just said she or he was responding to the crowd. Still…

I’ve done the same. Since December I have a Linux Ubuntu Touch phone & Manjaro Linux PC. I never sign into ANY google stuff on either. I recommend everyone to do the same. Ubuntu touch doesn’t have the apps, but you can still use browser versions. I’m slowly migrating from my yahoo & gmail emails to ProtonMail. Not easy, but I have an old iphone to check my mail, and then I migrate stuff to ProtonMail. The iphone never leaves my house, so no track n trace.

Do it!! De-Google De-Apple !!

Protonmail is not a good choice if you want to use local mail via imap or pop: you have to install their “protonmail bridge” software on your machine in order to access their servers. I believe it is because they use their own security code rather than recognised standards. I currently run it in firejail but this is not an ideal solution so I plan to move away from them when my subscription expires.

Yes I run Ubuntu on a Nexus 5 I picked up for $150. I put a pay as you go sim in it on a $15 annual plan. $15 it’s fine since I don’t make calls it’s just in case the family wants to contact me when i’m out riding, etc. It only has stock Ubuntu Apps so none of the current tracking.

I’ve have no illusions of invisibility, if it’s got a signal you can be tracked. However this is about as bare as it gets. It’s like rolling back the clocks 8/9 years.

But better still leave it at home. “But what if there is an emergency?” This is the paranoia and fear that has been programed into you since the mobile phone was launched. I remember the first phones were marketed from the angle of emergency and safety.

Best indeed! I’ve never ever owned a damned portable phone. And you know what? Life goes on as well as ever. Absolutely no loss to be completely and permanently without the stupid fondle-pads. Get used to it. I suppose it’s like finally escaping for good from a heroin addiction. Luckily for me, I’ve never had either H or mobile addictions. But I guess it could be hard for those who are addicted to their fondler.

Most current forms of work make it a necessity. It is like an invisible chain that enslaves employees, especially the good ones, around the clock. Even low-paid manual workers report their progress in the form of photos or videos. Running out of power/storage, damaging the phone or losing it are more things for the modern man to worry about.
Addiction is partly innate and partly due to the development of marketing/propaganda. I know one guy who can easily quit smoking, and has done it a few times – meaning that he keeps going back after many months.

This is the company that trades in your DNA, your liberty and wants to monetize your every movement. Of course they steal anything that’s not locked down.

The only employee I know at Google is a sociopath so perhaps they screen their employees for sociopathic tendencies beforehand or subject them to direct mind control after recruitment.

I have largely de-googled too, though I do still find it useful to search for some stuff

I suspect John Ward’s Slog is about to disappear. He has done the equivalent of Peter Finch in the 1976 Film Network. I disagree with some of his political views too, but today I can’t get my words to get through, even when I slightly changed the name of Dr. Mike Ye@don, who I almost completely agree with. They are deleted, before they get anywhere near him.

I do like the old bugger, but I have always been on the side of The Palestinians. He has a blind spot about that, cos of the kids he played football with on a Sunday morning. He also would never allow posts about 9/11, and has banned me several times, but has mellowed over the last few years. Sometimes I find what he writes, and all his Research, the Best in The World. He can be very funny too.

Ah, but Tony, your realslog has substituted passion for research. He is content to ignore the fount of evil from which Hitler sprang. The Great War was of course to stop the economic system championed by Friedrich Liszt, and already being embodied by Germany. It was to keep the world safe for the British banking system/Empire. WWII was then fomented by keeping Germany a debtor state, yes. But more directly, by Anglo-American support of Hitler & eugenics.

Hitler was not the source.

Doesn’t Google own YouTube? If I try to watch a YouTube video I get bombarded with ads usually starting with Grammarly. I never agree to any data-gathering and that might be the reason. Somebody sent a video of the way vaccines were affecting women in Israel.

https://youtu.be/1igs-ssfHAA

In ten minutes of viewing I got three minutes of adverts. That and the fact that the graphs were in Hebrew made me give up – possibly what Google (YouTube) intended. We really must move away to other video hosting sites like BitChute.

UBlock Origin stops all kinds of ads and tracking. It’s a browser add-on/extension.

Another option is to watch via Invidious – it’s a youtube front-end with no ads or tracking. You can search on the site as you would on youtube, or paste in a youtube link for a specific video. The instance I use is invidious.tube

I have to congratulate you on your dismissal of Google, not before time. However this still leaves the problem of Cloudflare outstanding, Cloudflare for the uninitiated is a man in the middle so that each time you go to OffGuardian you first pass through Cloudflare servers, this renders that little green padblock re HTTPS little more than a lie, personally I get round it by using the Morty on SearX search, incidentally a very good search engine; https://searx.space/
I have a number of suggestions without wanting to seem clever, clever – Nitter is a Twitter proxy, though they have been hit by Twitter imposed rate limits, still, worth a look – https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/Instances. YouTube video’s can be accessed through Invidious – https://github.com/iv-org/documentation/blob/master/Invidious-Instances.md – and you can even download though it’s a bit of a flap!
Incidentally on the subject of Cloudflare, Firefox use them for DNS over HTTPS, be warned, in fact Firefox despite there loud claims to be the friend of the user have very close links with Google recieving in excess of $300m a year from them in support, also Firefox is BLOATED, i mean lots and lots of features with doubtful value to the user which are included in order to make it easier to access your data, if you have to use Firefox (and I do because there are so few alternatives) try it without javascript, if there is one single thing you can do to improve your privacy it’s to type about:config in the address bar and turn off javascript, that one single action will free you of 90% of survelliance, also if you want to know how incicidious Cloudflare is install – https://github.com/nym-zone/block_cloudflare_mitm_fx/issues – it’ll alert you each time you find a site thats MITM’d and there are a hell of a lot.
uBlock Origin and uMatrix are Firefox extensions that you simply can’t do without they’ll tell every single site that tries to connect to your browser and gives you the option of blocking them.
On the subject of other things you might try to improve your survelliance defences WebGL ought to be disabled – webgl.disabled true, media.getusermedia.screensharing.enabled false, no DRM (digital rights management) – media.gmp-gmpopenh264.enabled false and media.peerconnection.enabled;false.
This is not tin foil hat stuff these are sensible precautions, Yahoo, Facebook, Linkedin, Google, Instagram, Bing, Microsoft – just run away screaming.
Linux though it’s moving in a worrying direction is still infinitly preferable to MacOS or Windows and there are easy Linux distro’s though do avoid Ubuntu and Mint, Debian is dead easy and no trouble in installing and on old under powered computers, personally I favour Devuan which is a system-d free Linux, don’t ask me to explain, it’d drive you insane.
I see someone is using Opera, hum, Opera is no longer Norwegian but now Chinese and undoubtedly heavily surveilled. A good expose of the internets origins and of Tor is found in Yasha Levine’s book Survelliance Valley. OffGuardian Please free yourself of the shackles of Cloudflare!!….otherwise great news site.
