Mobilising Against the Corporate Hijack of Agriculture and the UN Food Systems Summit

Colin todhunter

The UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS), including a ‘pre-summit’, will take place in September 2021 in New York. The Italian government is hosting the pre-summit in Rome from 26–28 July. The UNFSS claims it aims to deliver the latest evidence-based, scientific approaches from around the world, launch a set of fresh commitments through coalitions of action and mobilise new financing and partnerships.

Despite claims of being a ‘people’s summit’ and a ‘solutions’ summit, the UNFSS is facilitating greater corporate concentration, unsustainable globalised value chains and agribusiness leverage over public institutions. As a result, more than 300 global organisations of small-scale food producers, researchers and indigenous peoples will gather online from 25-28 July to mobilise against the pre-summit.

The Civil Society and Indigenous Peoples’ Mechanism (CSM) for relations with the United Nations Committee on World Food Security is working to eradicate food insecurity and malnutrition. According to the CMS, the UNFSS – founded on a partnership between the UN and the World Economic Forum (WEF) – is disproportionately influenced by corporate actors, lacks transparency and accountability and diverts energy and financial resources away from the real solutions needed to tackle the multiple hunger, climate and health crises.

The CMS argues that the UNFSS is not building on the legacy of past world food summits, which resulted in the creation of innovative, inclusive and participatory global food governance mechanisms anchored in human rights, such as the reformed UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS).

Promoting industrial agriculture

It seems the UNFSS is now dominated by corporate front groups and corporate-driven platforms, including the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), the International Agri-Food Network, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the EAT Forum as well as the Rockefeller Foundation and the Gates Foundation. The President of AGRA, Agnes Kalibata, was even appointed as UN Special Envoy for the summit.

According to the CMS, those being granted a pivotal role at the UNFSS support industrial food systems that promote ultra-processed foods, deforestation, industrial livestock production, intensive pesticide use and commodity crop monocultures, all of which cause soil deterioration, water contamination and irreversible impacts on biodiversity and human health.

The industrialised food system that these corporations fuel does not even feed the world, despite corporate claims to the contrary. For example, the 2021 UN Report on the State of Food Security and Nutrition indicates that the number of chronically undernourished people has risen to 811 million, while almost a third of the world’s population has no access to adequate food. Furthermore, the Global South is still reeling from Covid-19 related policies which have laid bare the inherent fragility and injustices of the prevailing food system.

Those who contribute most to world food security, smallholder producers, are the most threatened and affected by the corporate concentration of land, seeds, natural and financial resources and the related privatisation of the commons and public goods. F

And these processes are accelerating: the high-tech/data conglomerates, including Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook and Google, have joined traditional agribusiness giants in a quest to impose a one size fits all type of agriculture and food production on the world. Digitalisation, artificial intelligence and other technologies are serving to promote a new wave of resource grabbing and the restructuring of food systems towards a total concentration of power.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is also heavily involved, whether through buying up huge tracts of farmland, funding and promoting a much-heralded (but failed) ‘green revolution’ for Africa, pushing biosynthetic food and new genetic engineering technologies or more generally facilitating the aims of the mega agrifood corporations.

Under the guise of saving the planet with ‘climate-friendly solutions’, helping farmers and feeding the world, what Gates and his corporate associates are really doing is desperately trying to repackage the dispossessive strategies of imperialism wrapped in the language of ‘sustainability’ and ‘inclusivity’.

Through various aspects of data control pertaining to soil quality, consumer preferences, weather, and land use, for example, and e-commerce monopolies, corporate land ownership, seed biopiracy, patents, synthetic food and the undermining of the public sector’s role in ensuring food security and national food sovereignty, global agricapital seeks to gain full control over the world’s food system.

Smallholder peasant farming is under threat as the big-tech giants and agribusiness impose lab-grown food, genetically engineered (GE) soil microbes, data harvesting tools and drones and other ‘disruptive’ technologies. The model being promoted desires farmerless industrial-scale farms being manned by driverless machines, monitored by drones and doused with chemicals to produce commodity crops from patented GE seeds for industrial ‘biomatter’ to be processed and constituted into something resembling food.

The CMS notes that these are false ‘solutions’ that seek to bypass and undermine the peasant food web which currently produces up to 70% of the world’s food, working with only 25% of the resources. Moreover, these false solutions do not address structural injustices such as land and resource grabbing, corporate abuse of power and economic inequality. They merely reinforce them.

Towards food sovereignty

More than 380 million people belong to the movements protesting against the UNFSS. They are demanding a radical transformation of corporate food regimes towards a just and truly sustainable food system. They are also demanding increased participation in existing democratic food governance models, such as the UN Committee for World Food Security (CFS) and its High-Level Panel of Experts. The UNFSS threatens to undermine CFS, which is the foremost inclusive intergovernmental international policy-making arena.

There is an intensifying fight for space between local markets and global markets. The former are the domain of independent producers and small-scale enterprises, whereas global markets are dominated by increasing monopolistic large-scale international retailers, traders and the rapidly growing influential e-commerce companies.

It is therefore essential to protect and strengthen local markets and indigenous, independent small-scale producers and enterprises to ensure community control over food systems, economic independence and local food sovereignty. With this in mind, the CMS is calling for a radical agroecological transformation of food systems based on food sovereignty, gender justice and economic and social justice.

Agroecology is practised throughout the world. As numerous high-level (UN) reports have argued over the years, this approach improves nutrition, reduces poverty, contributes to gender justice, combats climate change and enriches farmland. With no need to purchase proprietary inputs (chemicals, seeds, etc) and its outperforming of industrial agriculture, agroecology represents a shift towards genuine food sovereignty and thus a direct threat to corporate agribusiness.

During the online mobilisation against the pre-summit, participants will share small-scale food producers and workers’ realities and their visions for a human rights-based and agroecological transformation of food systems. In doing so, they will highlight the importance of food sovereignty, small-scale sustainable agriculture, traditional knowledge, rights to natural resources and the rights of workers, indigenous peoples, women and future generations.

More information about the online mobilisation from 25-28 July can be found on the FoodSystems4People website at https://www.foodsystems4people.org/

ah… more tales from the ‘blob’ as it emerges into the light.. all the usual actors and reprobates, agencies and shell company fronts.. the people you have been warned about for decades….

consolidating the business plan…

fresh from their ‘simulation’ stress testing the supply chains, phase 2 of operation global domination jolts into ‘action’.. phase 1 having been a resounding success, well at least the computer models (if the A.I can be trusted)…

always be aware a ‘simulation’ to the hollow men is merely a dry run to iron out the wrinkles (and I’m sure there were many at that Biedermeier table) as they feed their ‘data’ into Ahrimans gaping maw… and await contact..

just imagine… these people have been planning to exterminate most of the human race since huxley, quigley, russell et al blew the whistle decades and decades ago ..animated cadavers like schwab and his ilk have dedicated their entire life to it… seeding the institutions they create.. serving their
Master..

and now the black cube rolls into view…

buckle up….. turbulance ahead…

Think succeeding events have proved me correct when i said Jeremy Corbyn was cheated out of power in ’19, very likely ’17 too, when the same happened to Trump in ’20. Personal judgments don’t matter when it comes to truth.

Jeremy is so likeable n trustworthy according to the sensibilities of most ppl here, methinks, Trump ain’t but justice rules.

Agreed, We’re so conditioned in the UK to believe that electorial fraud cannot happen. But happen it does.

British police recorded a total of 260 cases of alleged electoral fraud in 2016, the Electoral Commission said. Do you think cases have gone up or down since? or have the Police simply just stopped counting them?

Totally support the thrust of the article, but honestly, the UN didn’t have to be “hijacked,” it was founded as part of the US-led post WWII new world order, designed by operatives of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Great cartoon but you missed “white supremacy” which according to “president” Biden is a “bigger threat than Al Qaeda and ISIS”. He has the demeanor of your old camp counselor telling stories about the nocturnal Berbalang Ghouls around the camp fire flashlight under chin. Love his dramatic denouement “…not me – the INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES” said it.

Note to Joe: a senile old corruptocrat has the same credibility as lying sadistic psychopaths = 0.

The response to Covid is so clearly coordinated that it betrays pre-planning.

The subterfuge is so complex it’s a world in itself, involving think tanks and war games, prior research in labs from China to Maryland to Carolina, and investments and patents galore.

Almost everyone in medicine and the media is aboard the project. “All hands to the pump,” you may think but it’s not that simple or reassuring. Doctors abandoned their well-established clinical routines, failing to offer any early treatment for Covid patients at home, ignoring well-established medicines. Instead they shipped people to hospitals or waited for the vaccine. As the Dutch say, dit is niet normaal.

The historical resonance is striking. Doctors were the biggest members of the NAZI party by profession — well over 50 per cent of German physicians sported a party card.

The Dutch remember the invasion of the Netherlands in 1940. “Martial Law in Holland. Nazis Forbid Crowds of More Than Five People,” read the headlines. A curfew was imposed from 8 p.m., cafés were forbidden to sell spirits, handing out pamphlets or resisting officials was punished.

Modern journalists are ignorant of history. Yet there is something more worrying. I have never seen them act in such unison. The uniform message reminds me of faceless instruction to the masses who silently read the communist “wall newspapers” like those posted outside factories to remind the workers to practice self-criticism.

The entire institutional press acts as a one-way valve, a conduit for orders. Relatively little information flows the other way. Few question their masters.

It is a psychological operation in the total sense. Psychologists play a starring role, discussing how to manipulate the people, to get them to comply, to increase injections and to snitch on neighbours.

But look on the pitch. Cop what the players are doing. Some of them we recognize: Peter, Bill and, from his flopping, unconvincing, mop, Elon. We are accompanied by two football fans, Norm and Serge who will interject from time to time.

Spot on with regard to the doctors being okay with the new fascism. It’s their training at university. I once read a study about bullying in various faculties (Mistreatment of university students most common during medical studies). The medical faculty stood out for most and the most vicious bullying across the board. That is later reflected in the authoritarian treatment of patients by both doctors and nurses, especially in hospitals.

Most of top German doctors, world leading experts in their fields, chairs, professors in renown medical schools were members of international eugenics society (among tens of thousands of others all over the world) as well as members or functionaries of NSDAP or other Nazi institutions and it was them who dictated Nazi social policies including so called medical and genetic purity policies based on “settled” science of Eugenics that were responsible for discrimination, segregation and medical apartheid that led to concentration and death camps created supposedly to save German people from certain diseases of mind and flesh carried by unclean minorities like Jews, Gypsies, LGBT, communists, Slavs and foreigners. They were also responsible for T4 program of extermination of chronically sick, crippled and mentally ill, in Germany and all occupied territories, including children by killing them in gas chambers installed in hospitals or mobile gas chambers available on-call. Medicine and Hygiene was weaponized by Nazis as it is weaponized by contemporary touchy-feely fearful bourgeois liberal fascists of today.

This is horrific record of “best” of the “best” scientists and doctors in the world. And this record relates not only to Germany by applies worldwide as the same happed in Japan, British, US or Soviet Union. Such inhumane records of mainstream medicine was true subject of Nuremberg code not perversion or sadism of Nazi doctors. Today descendants of Dr. Mengele who did not break any Nazi law or Nazi ethical medical standards reject that Nuremberg Code applies to them and their murderous practice as it is legal and ethical.

Invoking medical authority as representing ethical standards or settled science is appalling in context of Nuremberg Code and is nothing but historical blindness ignoring genocidal policies they consciously and purposefully authored throughout centuries.

The scientists are puppets of prevailing regime that discard their independence, autonomy and humanity to serve their masters.

It is time they face people’s judgment.

“Doctors were the biggest members of the NAZI party by profession — well over 50 per cent of German physicians sported a party card.”

That would have left 50% independent; much less conformity than we see among today’s medical profession. It is a perpetual puzzle to me how many GPs Con-form to Con-19. They act as though they had no independent experience of treating the flu, and were simply blank ROMS programmed to follow procedure for Con-19.

The speed and effectiveness of the Nazi propaganda machine was the first thing I remembered when we realized that the minds of our University-educated children and University-educated grandchildren had succumbed to mental virus Con-19.

“The response to Covid is so clearly coordinated that it betrays pre-planning. … Almost everyone in medicine and the media is aboard the project….” (of modern journalists) “I have never seen them act in such unison” … “Few question their masters.”

All of this is true but it doesn’t signify that everyone who is part of the machine knows what they are doing or is even aware of it. The basic situation is that the bigger a media or political or medical channel is, the more money there is backing it and the more judicious the selection process – but the selection itself doesn’t have to be a clearly discerned matter.

Everyone who enters a profession must conform to the standards of the profession. And the standards inevitably involve censorship. And the ones who enter the profession, if they want to rise, will internalise the values of the profession and conform to them.

There is nothing controversial about these statements. Indeed, they are quite banal. However, when the profession involves something as important as the relaying of news, or political leadership or managing peoples’ health, then it is an important matter to understand precisely what the selection and censorship process is and to constantly ask questions about it.

But anyone with any insight at all into the political and social developments around them will be aware of the rot at the heart of our system. Granted, they may not have been prepared for the abysmal corruption as revealed by the covid con. But that just makes their customary critique all the more urgent.

The system is viciously corrupt but it works by this programmed instinctive self-absorption of its values. The ones who rise don’t know what is happening precisely because they have internalised the values. This is what happened in Nazi Germany. And it’s interesting that such a comparison has been ruled out by the role of “Godwin’s Law” which mocks any parallel drawn with the Nazis – although, with typical hypocrisy, the media is happy to set up its own Hitler of the Month Club by drawing the parallel with the latest designated enemy.

The Nazis did not see themselves as monsters. Indeed, they saw themselves as the cream of humanity. Which makes them a natural extension of the self-image of the British Empire bringing “civilisation” to the world and, more recently, the “fount of all goodness” that is America, policing the world.

But even all this is something that any Leftist should already know. Indeed – ironically, Noam Chomsky was one of the most perceptive in noting the way the system sets up questionable values after which the automatic self-correcting process can be relied upon to monitor the situation.

And once again, it may be said that any decent world would involve such processes but they should always be open to critique and that is where the crucial distinction lies. Because our system is indeed corrupt i.e. it has become a hierarchy of the most despicable individuals who rise inevitably though an ideology revolving around the most repugnant characteristics.

The upshot is that, although there is indeed planning going on at the uppermost levels, the vast majority of those below do not know what is going on and invariably see themselves as “doing a good job” and “being a good person”. This is how they want to see themselves. The system taught them to think and feel this way and is happy to keep them thinking and feeling it.

Some commenters, not to mention the local Attitude Police, whine, bitch, and moan about “blackpilling”. I’m as skeptical and cynical as it gets, so I don’t have that horror of so-called blackpilling. It reminds me of the progressive sites I used to frequent, where moderate “progressives” would shake quivering fingers at, say, critics of Obama and his foul works and bleat or bluster that this was unacceptable “negativism”– or, worse, (gasp) “nihilism”.

Instead of “blackpilling”, I have my own idiosyncratic bugaboo: blackballing. That refers to the habit of ideology-dominated know-it-alls to instantly condemn, reject, and dismiss people or organizations due to some perceived insurmountable or inexcusable fatal flaw.

So it galls me no end when medical professionals do object loudly to key aspects of the Megadeath Virus of Doom Scamdemic, and are promptly denounced with extreme prejudice as Unacceptable.

For instance: a few commenters here vehemently denounce America’s Frontline Doctors. Some invoke the knee-jerk, done-to-death charge of “controlled opposition”. But another blackballer said that their name, and pointedly wearing lab coats during public appearances, seemed a little too slick and stagy. Obviously (to the blackpiller), something was very rotten about them.

Someone else damned Dr. Simone Gold for some high crime that eludes my memory– either some commercial project of hers, or expressing questionable respect for Donald Trump.

I’ve also always been galled by the simplistic complaint that “leftists” invariably form self-destructive “circular firing squads”. But given the persistence of superficial and supercilious blackballing, I can see why this canard came into existence.

With temperatures in Dubai regularly surpassing 115 degrees Fahrenheit, the government has decided to take control of the scorching weather.

Scientists in the United Arab Emirates are making it rain — artificially — using electrical charges from drones to manipulate the weather and force rainfall across the desert nation. Meteorological officials released video footage this week showing a downpour over Ras al Khaimah, as well as several other regions.

The new method of cloud seeding shows promise in helping to mitigate drought conditions worldwide, without as many environmental concerns as previous methods involving salt flares.

As Jack Bean said, cloud seeding makes little difference. If there are clouds over the target area, you may at best be able to extract some rain before they are blown away.

This is not to rule out other research. However, a super-power doing such research has had nothing but major weather disasters every year.

Slightly off topic but here from the Graun 22-07-21

Scientists have backed proposals for Covid boosters in the autumn after blood tests on hundreds of people revealed that protective antibodies can wane substantially within weeks of second vaccine shots being given.

Falls in antibodies after vaccination are expected and do not necessarily mean people are more vulnerable to disease, but the researchers are concerned that if the declines persist the effectiveness of the vaccines may diminish.

The UCL Virus Watch study found that antibodies generated by two doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines started to wane as early as six weeks after the second shot, in some cases falling more than 50% over 10 weeks

Well chaps, get the drift? Looks like never-ending jabs. I wonder what the market cap of Pfizer, Moderna, Astra-Zeneca, Johnson and Johnson is now it’s easy to check out. . Whatever it is it is going to get bigger, a lot bigger.

This is such a great article but i don’t see anything democratic about anything the UN does. Seriously think they don’t have experts at management level, only useful tools, for now, are acceptable. When i was a naive student, i actually believed the UN served a good purpose, totally awake now tho. Smallholder peasant farming is in danger of extinction, not just under threat, n what the Scum want to supply us with are frankenfoods of virtually no nutritional value. Any produce/products they have control over might be a li’l cheaper now but are so inferior/harmful, will also rise seriously high in price when they’ve killed off the competition.

The Scum are sick psychopaths who have no understanding of what it means to be a real human, or any concept there are fates worth than death, which is what they want to impose on us. Life has to be lived from my pov, *hope that makes sense* the Scum want to take away everything that makes life worth living, especially our autonomy, we can’t let such evil triumph.

What caused me to think the UN had a useful purpose is that i was 17 back in ’03, totally antiwar and closely following the SC meetings. It was so obvious Kofi Annan was opposed to the invasion, as were most of the SC, the UK n US didn’t care tho. Started realising the UN is rotten to its core when Ban-ki-Moon took over from Kofi.

Think Kofi was actually a good dude but found out you can’t lie down with dogs without getting up with fleas.

I don’t know exactly why but the term “Food Systems” makes me want to go take a shower. I can’t help but imagine that every time those words are spoken a pigeon shits on someone, somewhere, if that makes any sense. It makes me feel icky.

I’m told that just 650 people own about half of the world’s total wealth. If true it means that the world’s wealth would double in an instant if something crazy were to happen such as, oh I dunno, one of those asset seizures I hear so much about.

Or a human sacrifice. (Just a thought, not a suggestion.)

I’m not sure I’m completely on board with what “foodsystems4people” want, since their website claims that “what is needed and most urgent” is action on (among other things) “gender justice” and “climate justice”, both of which terms make my pigeon-sense start to tingle again. Regardless, there is surely a lot to learn and a lot to be done so I hope people find something of value in their upcoming “virtual rally”.

The richest 85 persons control as much wealth as the bottom 50% of all humans. The richest 1% controls 46% of all wealth: $110 trillion or 65 times that of the bottom 50%. Over 3 billion people subsist on less than $2.50/day, and over 1 billion on less than $1. – Oxfam inequality report, 2014

The whole thing is a system test to determine how many people still trust government. If it’s found that less than 50% trust the government, the kill shot will be prepared and a real virus will be unleashed to wash the scum off the sidewalk.

As it stands, humanity is passing with flying colours. A solid 80%+ believe every word of utter bullshit spewed by gov. And it doesn’t matter how weird the gov make it. And Lord they’ve tried. They still dig it and nod like a seal claps.

So thanks humanity. Thanks for saving our bacon.

Can’t let the wildfire industry down. Not sure if this is well known or not: these things are thoroughly organized and funded in the early spring (in the West US). Full blown bid solicitation conferences and vendor/sales meetings happen while snow is still on the ground. Just another ‘let us save you from the problem we have diligently encouraged’ situation. Lumber supply too bloated? Profits stagnant? Burn down the forests and shut the mills down for a health scare.

In WA region we witnessed every lumber mill pushed to storage capacity last year while prices spiked so high that they couldn’t sell a stick of wood and were forced lay off their whole workforce and leave millions of feet of kiln dried lumber to warp, grey, and rot through the winter stacked in storage. Fake scarcity everywhere you look.

Guardian published total nonsense.

They quote 95% of effectiveness but it is relative number not applicable to population of low prevalence of infection and this effectiveness is not effectiveness against spreading or protection against infection. Hence jabs are no vaccines that are suppose to be designed to provide population immunity by stopping spreading infection and by that ending epidemic.

what manufacturers claim is reduction of severity of mild to moderate sickness not severe illness and not death as death is nearly 100% corrected with age.

Guardian lies by manipulation of unrealistic hypothetical cases that do not exists twisting common sense and basic logic trying to cover up disaster of COVID „vaccines” deployment that does not prevent infections what most brainwashed people who took a jab thought jabs do. Such conniving attitude makes people suffer from jab’s adverse effects while they are often misdiagnosed as Covid to skew Adverse effects statistics.

The fact: alarming number of Vaxxed people dying with or without COVID show utter failure of vaccination campaign promising safety, health and freedom delivering pain and suffering and death instead.

I read and enjoyed your article. I disagree with one word in the following sentence from it:

“Because the job of journalists is to speak for the people of which they are part.”

I would alter “speak” to “ask questions”, simply because I have never expected anyone else to speak for me.

I want journalists to ask questions. Lots of them. Good questions. Straight questions, preferably ones that seek yes/no answers.

I want journalists who will avoid asking compound questions of politicians etc., which only give them wiggle room to choose which question they prefer.

I want journalists who will use a person’s own language and terms when questioning them, not introduce their own, so that I can observe when and where that person deviates from their normal speech patterns.

“Truth can never be told so as to be understood, and not be believed.”

I agree, though only in part because the statement is incomplete in my opinion. Understanding is on the part of the receiver, which when inserted into Blake’s claim makes his statement tautological. “Truth told so as to be understood is believed if the believer can understand it,” to paraphrase him.

Thanks for the agroecology report, and now from Simone Gold, the founder of America’s Frontline Doctors. In her interview with Reiner Fullmich three weeks ago, she made some remarkable statements :

  1. She’s been traveling across the USA, and can testify : the lockdown measures are loosened or dropped across the country,
  2. While at the same time the ambient reminds her of her visits of countries under communists, so
  3. She and Reiner agree : this is “a calm before the storm” to be utilized maximally. In that respect,
  4. Her organisation AFD has greatly expanded, has many projects, and many lawyers. Regarding which,
  5. She, herself a lawyer, thinks the USA judges are seldom corrupt, but mostly weak and conformist, in contrast to Germany where, per Fullmich, judges are strong, without empathy, – and corrupt.
  6. Back to USA: Simone reports : About half the population has entrenched itself in a position to refuse vaccines *at any cost*.
  7. So, there’s in her view a gradual division of society into two, existing paralelly, one centralising and another decentralising, – but doesn’t see any prospect of a military conflict between them.
  8. She refers to “the president” by which she means Trump (sic) … and sees in him the nation’s main hope (sic) vis-a-vis jabs…. It’s just that he should be persuaded to speak out against them. Her underlying reasoning she didn’t make explicit.

“Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly referred to as the RICO Act or simply RICO, is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization.
The RICO Act focuses specifically on racketeering, and it allows the leaders of a syndicate to be tried for the crimes which they ordered others to do or assisted them, closing a perceived loophole that allowed someone who told a man to, for example, murder, to be exempt from the trial because he did not actually commit the crime personally.”

The need to intensify the fight for space between local markets and global markets is much bigger than just the food supply markets. in the past, in my home city, building supply companies, auto mechanic garages, hamburger stands, food establishments like donut shops, coffee shops, and ice cream pallors, and restaurants would pop up all the time all over the place, some were highly successful others failed, but now days, all mom and pops fail. as the franchised use nationally syndicated advertising, franchisor access to local franchisee favorable access to capital, and state connected lobbyist to raise the bar and to add administrative costs to enable big guy take-overs of local market providers, in local markets.

In medicine its the same, large medical establishments gobble up local practicing physicians and turn their positions from entrepreneurial service providers to salaried service providers. This reduces the cost of providing professional level medical services to hospitals and major global medical providers, but it denies the general public access to medicine. and undermines the professional desiring to entrepreneur his or her way to success.

In Denis try for example, a simple filing cost $80 in year 2010 today the cost for the same filling is $500 unless the patient has acquired dental insurance, in which case, the local cost is still $80..

In auto maintenance and repair industry, which is traditionally a local provider market , the insurance industry has managed to get the state to organize the auto technicians, and the state is in the process of licensing them to work on your car, and as licensed technicians they will be required to charge the state card rate. (each service will be reported to the state, for each car, and the state will set the price which 4x or 5x the previous rate charged by the local mechanic. So what used to be invoiced at $100 is now invoiced at $500. But if the auto owner has repair insurance, the net cost to the auto owner customer is still $100..

In accounting services, the same.. is in progress.. Already professional accounting services are licensed, but the charges for services have until now been up to the professional performing the services. no more, the state is going to set the prices for each service and require the professional to get his or her money from an insurance provider. Hence the tax payer customer or the business in need of financial services or audits will need insurance to keep his or her professional service costs at reasonable levels.

The big monopoly (own copyright and patents and have licenses that prevent local entrepreneurs from providing the services they and they grand fathers have been providing since the beginning of time) power.

What has happened is the government is practicing feudalism.. Handing governorship in the form of grants, over national and global markets, to single monopoly-powered provider. Typically, the provider encourages the government to raise taxes on the services to be taken over and to establish and hire many people to be paid from these new taxes and fees.

This is the same thing the kings and queens did in handing land grants and governorships in colonized lands to wealthy Aristocrats.. The grantees would subcontract everything out to the same people that before were managing the work in the colonies and bring slaves in to replace the local paid workers, with slave labor brought from a foreign place.

“Dispassionate”?

I get triumphalism.

The constant non sequiturs, where it repeatedly whipsaws from “declining birth rates” to “opportunities for women,” is remarkable. The stark incongruity and abrupt termination of the conclusion is astonishing:

The overall decline in fertility rates has far-reaching effects on society and future generations. In the early 1900s, college education and a career were not options for women like my great-grandmother. Advances in reproductive health and women’s expanding access to education and employment have produced a demographic shift with implications for work, housing, health care and education.

(That’s literally the end. Reads like a proverbial “high note,” no?)

The only “impact” the writer bothers to mention is as follows: “The so-called ‘demographic cliff‘ will inevitably lead to school closings and consolidation.” This is not followed by any normative assessment of such an “inevitable” outcome. (Which, yes, could fairly be called “dispassionate.” However, I take the very word “inevitable” to convey approval.)

Patent profits are behind every bad product and practice today. WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) is a $20 TRILLION industry. Why is this never discussed? Patenting nature in order to sell us back a synthesized, altered copy is criminal. Steal the real. Life, genes, should not be legally owned by someone.

Paul Vonharnish
Paul Vonharnish

Hello: Kind of a long handle there, but you are quite correct regarding the WIPO scam. . .

Most civilians have no clue that the Vatican owns title to their lands, their ideas, their names, their children’s names, all territorial waters, and all the eternal souls of every living creature. Civilians chose to have no clue what a Patent title is or where the concept originated. >

Excerpted from: Letters patent – Wikipedia

“Letters patent (always in the plural) are a type of legal instrument in the form of a published written order issued by a monarch, president, or other head of state, generally granting an office, right, monopoly, title, or status to a person or corporation. Letters patent can be used for the creation of corporations or government offices, or for the granting of city status or a coat of arms. Letters patent are issued for the appointment of representatives of the Crown, such as governors and governors-general of Commonwealth realms, as well as appointing a Royal Commission.
In the United Kingdom they are also issued for the creation of peers of the realm. A particular form of letters patent has evolved into the modern patent (referred to as a utility patent or design patent in United States patent law) granting exclusive rights in an invention (or a design in the case of a design patent). In this case it is essential that the written grant should be in the form of a public document so other inventors can consult it to avoid infringement and also to understand how to “practice” the invention, i.e., put it into practical use.” [End quote]

No one seems to get the massive significance of the title and that the Vatican owns it. There was an off g article about “reality” recently and there was the same misunderstanding. The Law may only be a concept but it can shove you in jail for life, if that’s not real, what the hell is? Like money, concepts have over ruled, have more power than reality, the world trumps the earth. The man behind “the bridge life in the mix” website says that the Vatican is owned by the Holy See in Switzerland who call the shots. A soi disant ex-mystery religion adept he certainly has some very perceptive information.

Law is theory, power is practice.

The good news is that it IS discussed, even if not very widely.
We gave up expecting the mainstream to discuss reality a long time ago.

Yes. Absolutely. I proceed as though MSM does not exist. If enough people would do that, it would cease to.

An important initiative to halt the Mammon juggernaut. “Small is Beautiful” seems to be a rule for the survival of living creatures in our oversize universe. To the dinosaur a tree is a snack; to the ant a grain is a feast.

Why do I get nervous whenever these scumbag psychopaths get together? Cyber Polygon has just finished. You can guess what comes next. Without being paranoid, it might be a good time to think of alternative communication networks if the internet ever crashed by “accident”.

Crash the internet and they loose the means of propaganda. People might even start to form opinions based on what they experience in real life and their memory of how things were. It would also make switching everything into cyberspace a more difficult sell.

This is one that, on a large scale, is likely to be held back for the major transformation of the internet where the system comes back with “internet passports” and compulsory biometrics. It remains to be seen how blatant they’d be about getting certain favoured sites back up-and-running while everyone else stays down.

Some claim it’s technologically impossible because the internet has multiple redundancies and back-ups built in. I’m not claiming any great expertise here but I’ve seen enough to know that it would certainly not be a small or easy operation.

I also doubt the “cyber pandemic” is about turning off the internet.

chuck in a few “pipeline” type shutdowns, disrupt supply chains, water supply, power etc. blame it on anonymous “hackers” or go for the big one and wipe out the financial system. It’s another invisible bogey man, everyone need a biometric digital ID to save us from hackers, it’s almost a catch all excuse to take the blame for anything they want, with built in “plausible deniability”.

Correct.

Create the monster, them sell the cure to keep the monster away.

These people really should be extinct.

Crashing the Internet in other countries is what all those covert armies of cyber-warriors hope to do. At this stage, don’t expect their leaders to understand the mutual estalation that will follow, just as it did in other forms of aggression. They also engage in false-flag attacks on the homeland.

You don’t need to be paranoid for it to be a good time to explore alternative communications options.

Good because it looks at the whole world, not solely India.
