This Week in the New Normal #99

Our successor to This Week in the Guardian, This Week in the New Normal is our weekly chart of the progress of autocracy, authoritarianism and economic restructuring around the world.

1. WEF’s Klaus Raus

Klaus Schwab, founder and leader of the World Economic Forum, is “beginning the process” of stepping down from his duties as chairman of the board of trustees. This “process” is apparently going to take until at least January 2027, so right there you have to wonder how real any of this is at all.

But there is precedent, as this announcement follows on from his resignation as Chief Executive in 2023, a role he was succeeded in by Norwegian politician Børge Brende.

Now, while an 87 year old man (allegedly) retiring is not, of itself, newsworthy it does raise interesting questions.

Such as “why now?” and “who is replacing him?”

As to the former, I would guess it’s because Klaus is now tainted. He is too publicly associated with Covid and the “Great Reset”. His presence immediately turns people off, his ideas are instantly suspected.

It’s the same reason you don’t see Bill Gates giving as many interviews as you did during Covid. These are the faces of the New Normal agenda, and as that agenda becomes more covert than overt the people who proudly nailed their colours to its mast need to be pushed aside so the greater work can continue.

That’s not to say they are being actually rejected or their ideas repudiated, of course, just that their public association is damaging.

In the latter case, one early rumor suggested Tony Blair would be taking the job, but (if my reasoning can be trusted) that was never likely. Replacing Schwab with Blair to reduce bad press is like replacing your toaster with a flamethrower so you don’t burn your muffins.

Other potential replacements include the other members of the board – Christine Lagarde of the ECB, Kristalina Georgieva of the IMF, Larry Fink of BlackRock, Marc Benioff of Salesforce and Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries.

But they largely have the same issue as Blair – namely, they are creepy and everyone hates them.

I would suspect that a good portion of the next 18 months of “stepping down process” will be spent holding auditions for some bland-faced Trudeau-like “nice guy” type who can say all the same things Uncle Klaus used to say, without looking and sounding like a Bond villain.

2. Background Bird Flu

Tariffs and Trump and trade are taking up the headlines right now, with online censorship and Adolescence rushing to fill any gaps.

Behind that, the now-familiar strains of music still play on a loop. Digital currency this, Covid that and – among other things – Bird Flu.

Mexico’s Health Ministry recorded its first official human case of Bird Flu this week, according to Reuters

In India, it’s being reported that a two-year-old child died of bird flu after eating raw chicken. The details are unclear, but on the face of it that story makes no sense.

In England, DEFRA have ordered stricter measures be put in place in the north after more cases of H5N1 were allegedly found in wild birds.

The Conversation warns that bird flu “could be on the cusp of transmitting between humans”.

There’s some background noise building. Just in time for an Easter – or post-Easter – scare maybe?

3. Having Children is bad and terrible and really eats into your “me time”

I’m not a monster, screams the headline, but I regret having children:

And you know what, fine. Maybe regretting having children doesn’t make you a monster, but writing an article about it that your children will likely one day see, does.

But that’s just taking the story at face value.

The author is anonymous, the names apparently made up, so maybe the whole thing is just a piece of propaganda attacking the idea of having a family.

BONUS: Red Flag Interview of the week

We’re all more than used to the “free speech is hurting our kids!” argument; there’s always someone somewhere mewling out some variation.

This week that someone is Ian Russell, an “online safety campaigner”, and the somewhere is BBC Newsnight:

My favourite bit is the part where he says that OfCom need to be “less timid” about enforcing an act…that only came into force 3 weeks ago.

I also like how vague the term “real change” is. Just a little tip: When pundits get vague it’s for one of two reasons. Either they don’t know what they’re talking about, or they know the specifics will make them sound stupid. I’m guessing, in this instance, it’s the second one.

All told a pretty hectic week for the new normal crowd, and we didn’t even mention the Colorado Bill that classify misgendering your child as “child abuse” or San Francisco’s “equity-based” speeding tickets, which charge you more (or less) depending on your income.

*

There’s a lot of change in the air, a lot of agendas in the works, if you see a headline, article, post or interview you think is a sign of the times, post it in the comments, email us or share it on social media and we will add it to the next edition.

Thanks for reading...

You can help us keep doing what we do. Every little helps and is hugely appreciated.

Children are expensive and tend to eat all of your time while fulfilling the most fundamental purpose of life which is to perpetuate your genes. Weird isn’t it. Otherwise, you die sad and alone. Sorry. You would fit in well at the United Nations.

Multitasking and loving it! Just finished my first Gimlet while throwing by border collie her favorite ball and watching my favorite show. PBA men’s bowling. The two handers against the one handers. The smell of my favorite coffee rub is overwhelming as it seeps into a Delmonico Steak. Mashed potatoes and broccoli are ready to compliment my favorite cut of beef. Fried in olive oil. Not grilled. It is amazing how the elites keep pushing ahead while looking for new ways to pull the wool over our eyes. But everyone is catching on. The 95%, that is. It is amazing how many have bought into the climate charade. I can assure you that more people have not. And even more are ready to reject the next planned poisonous injection as they run over the idiots trying to block major highways.

Eleleth, the great angel, spoke to me. “It is I,” he said, “who am understanding. I am one of the four luminaries who stand in the presence of the great invisible spirit. Do you think these rulers have any power over you? None of them can prevail against the root of truth, for on its account he has appeared in the final ages, and these authorities will be restrained. And these authorities cannot defile you and that race, for your abode is in incorruptibility, where the virgin spirit lives, who is superior to the authorities of chaos and to their universe.”

While here in Australia the MSM is spouting alarm at the waning interest in getting the annual (non-bird) flu shots, the US is promoting the triple-antigen shots, the MMR vaccine, for children. And Kennedy Jnr’s MAHA mantra has changed from no need for the MMR vaccines before his ‘election’ to it’s important for kids to get it.

The new normal?

(Ahead of the 20th anniversary of her son’s death, Maria de Menezes told BBC News she never wants to see other mothers suffer in the way she has.
She hopes the drama series will portray her son’s true character and shed light on his story).

The BBC tell the truth. That would be A new normal.

Here is the truth:
Multiple shots killed De Menezes to the head because he knew the truth of what happened on 7/7 London false flag bombings. He was an innocent lad killed by criminal special forces protecting the terror bullshit lies.
De Menezes worked as an electrician on the London Tube and knew exactly what was happening.

Protecting sources. But he was talking widely about what he knew.
Its just that the walls had ears.
Cannot have the truth coming out:
(Credit has to go to Sir Ian Blair for correcting himself when he accidently claimed the existence of “four miserable bombers” when, in fact, nobody knows this to be the case yet.

SIR IAN BLAIR, LONDON METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMISSIONER:

“If London could survive the Blitz, it can survive four miserable bombers like this….”

[brief pause that always comes with an overwhelming sense of realisation]

I’m not saying there are four bombers…. four miserable events like this.”)

A bit like the BBC on 9/11 stating that building 7 had collapsed. Pity it hadn’t collapsed in time for the report and was still standing before they pressed the control demo button.

Vote. There’s no downside.

And no, voting doesn’t empower them, they already have power. Nor does it demonstrate submission or ignorance.

The fact that over 95% of policy is predetermined externally by those really in control doesn’t change this. The few percent of policies we get to influence or slow down may be scraps, but they’re worth having.

Some of the above link from Wishart might be a bit obscure from those not from NZ. It references some recent parallel cases for comparison, among other unique words. A US public debt of 34 trillion which the rest of the world will be asked to pay! And Im not kidding. https://www.voltairenet.org/article221903.html Is Donald Trump managing the possible collapse of the “American empire”?

KLAUS Swab appeared at the beginning of covid to give the milkshakes someone to shout at.Like billy gates boogie man, scream = shout and deflect = blame = then change.
1 minute of hate psyop aimed the alternative media.
That fake as fuck meme photo of him dressed in whatever on the beach shows the level of
stupidity we now see calling themselves awake.

During covid, I witnessed many parents not being able cope due to the time off and the children being at home. what awful sickfucks sends there children to school?
I feel people should not bring any more into this world.
I have heard so many people say it was an accident in why they got pregnant.

I dont see the adm or Kit or Catte announcements of babies or new pregnancies.
Ive yet to see one of you author bloggers be happy about babies. Iain to old and got a right siad fred feel about him, Cj to demented.
as a conversion therapy Christianity blog why dont you lead by example and start pumping them out and many may follow suit ? but as the average age on this site is 60+.

as another point out Kit is probably the youngest person on this site which is also called gods waiting room.
HAVING CHILDREN IS BAD just asked the parents who didnt want them in the first place and that is 97% of them.

So, how many parents did you ask?

100 and 97 said they regretted kids?

1000 and 970 said it?

Or 10 and 9.7 said it? If so, who was that three-quarters of a person?

Or perhaps, you just plucked these figures from your sweaty arse crack?

Since, you have admitted to working with junkies and shoplifters using your other multi-IDs, suzaloop and Veex, I bet you asked a couple of your crackhead and heroin mates.

Was this bloke one of them?

Does not take an addiction specialist to confirm your addiction to 25+ different Ids and needing the religious heroin fix and being a failed teacher. :wpds_shutmouth:

OMG a DM article about drugs. 😱

Fake outrage aimed for the low IQ DM reader
and who actually reads newspapers in 2025.

The above would not apply to you about children as you clearly suffer from oligospermia and wouldnt be trusted near them.

My greatest failure in life is not having kids.

Right now I’d do it in a shot, given the chance. Life in upcoming decades may be abysmal, but it has been a hellova lot worse throughout most of human history. Our purpose in life is to live – to persevere, overcome, and enjoy whatever good moments come our way. Regardless of all else.

FWIW — Traffic ticket costs in some European countries (e.g. Germany & Sweden) are based on your income. They don’t call it anything fancy using terms like ‘equity’, its just a matter of making the fine effective.

Administering it in a US city is probably going to be difficult.

Maybe Klaus Schwab should put that fancy jacket of his into a charity shop or sell it to BBC for a Dr Who episode. Is there still a Dr Who? Is there still a BBC?

Howard Lutnick was on Face the Nation this am. Brennan was unable to get him to answer one question re: tariffs. Temporary? Permanent? Were they created with AI? Are the supposed new US factories being run with robots and AI, not American workers? The return robotic narrative from Lutnick: this is a “national security” crisis.

T apparently is approaching this admin as an autocratic military op. Margaret pointed out Lutnick said in another interview factories would be AI/robotic. Lutnick repeated the sales promo that other countries were ripping us off and it is a “national security” crisis.

Problem is, US/Western industry is the one that offshored factories and labor, to import cheap goods to US consumers, meanwhile Banksters turned the rest of the US economy into an escalating pyramid scheme bankrupting the bottom 90%. So, actually, we, or rather our godlike capitalists, sold us out decades ago and created this excuse for a radical, shock therapy, which the Tasmanian Devil has been approved to execute.

What is the goal of this disaster capitalist shock therapy? Imo. Has tech now presented the case that they can create worker-less AI/robotic factories in the US to replace offshored foreign labor manned factories and allow production of consumer goods to be cheaper here than offshore? Were 911, the Great Recession, the LOCKDOWN, and now the Tasmanian Devil’s 360° war, a four stage bombing of the bottom 90% to flatten US society and turn it into a hi-tech Banana Republic?

Notice how industry is quietly going along. DEI, green, globalist Great Reset industry activity and promotion is being folded away. The marketing pitches, the recent industry demands for doubling, tripling power plant electricity, building SMNR mini-nuke plants, domestically, for supposedly “AI” (and crypto), syncs perfectly to the idea of cheaply powering new AI/robotic factories. The industrialists can transition back to the US, avoid having to pay foreign unionizing labor. They would domesticate US industry, but it would be labor and union free. The wars threatened on every continent, the neo-colonial acquisitions are both real and bargaining tactics to keep the dollar afloat while the industrial transition period unfolds. Industry can claim “we are returning” while avoiding the truth they abandoned the American working class long ago and it will just get worse. A new 9 million refugee labor force will be present to further water down domestic job opportunities and keep the working class at bay.

Meanwhile Dems are wailing consumer tariff induced inflation poverty, and falsely claiming this represents they care about the working class. Republicans are falsely claiming this will bring back industry jobs for America. They are both lying and misdirecting the public from apprehending the con. This is both Party’s permanent job in America. Has the Great Reset been a false track rabbit bait to induce votes for Trump and facilitate AI disemployment of the working class?

Interesting twist on the basic idea that Karl Marx agreed with, that immigration=cheap labor and therefore is supported by the rich.

Now, the on-shoring of AI=even cheaper labor.

Gee. Dizzying to contemplate.

It has been rotten from the beginning.
The Bush family, billionaires in oil, cant tell the public they bombed Iraq to steal their oil, so you will always get a scapegoat story. What is the goal? Money and Power!

Dr. Schwabuse is replaced by Borge Brende, member of the Bilderberg group. That changes everything! Trust the plan! The cabale is panicking! It’s a hard blow for the globalists! Says Alex Jones, disinfo-agent of the CNP (Council on National Policy). Just sayin’. So don’t worry, it’s over now. The dialectically useful “populism” und “nationalism” movement is winning! Yeah! 😂

Not that that’s necessarily a good thing.

Davosism is to be replaced with Trumpism.

What is Trumpism ?
