On May 7th, I will no longer be able to fly, anywhere, unless I get the Real ID, the kingpin of a national digital ID system in the U.S. fully supported by Trump and his administration and both oligarchy political parties. I’m 70 years old, born and raised in Washington State, my ancestors came to the country in the late 1600’s and migrated here via the Oregon Trail on a wagon train. I’m a veteran, US Navy, as were my father and grandfather. I’m an American, man, always have been, always will be. Now, unless I get the Real ID, I can’t fly or enter a federal government facility, which undoubtedly will be expanded to almost anything. I’ll be treated as illegal. I’m about to become an illegal American. This is permanent shit. We talk about the masks and the digital medical IDs during the scamdemic, but this is real and permanent and a foundation for almost total control. I am a human being that is being grounded, my freedom limited, because I won’t obey the fucking powers that be and get a “Real ID”. Real my ass.
Granted, I couldn’t drive unless I had a driver’s license, so I got one of those when I was 16 and have had one ever since. But the primary purpose behind a driver’s license was to prove that you’ve had the training and are qualified to drive a motor vehicle. I couldn’t travel to most other countries unless I got a passport, which I have done. This is different and I can’t get my head around it. It’s like I’m being told I am not free at all and must do what those in control of the government tell me, or face the consequences. It’s a fucking threat to my freedom and liberty. Now they’re telling me, Big Al, true blue American born and raised, i.e., I ain’t no terrorist and I ain’t no illegal immigrant, that I cannot fly on an airplane or enter a federal government facility. Oh, btw, I’ve worked for the federal government, after serving in the Navy, for almost 40 years. It doesn’t prove anything, like citizenship, that hasn’t been around for my entire life, like my birth certificate. Used to be we used that all the time, now it doesn’t even seem to be on the list of “approved” documents. This is the beginning of a nasty road to complete servitude.
I refuse, just like I refused to wear the fucking masks or get the fake vaccine jabs for a fake so called virus. I wasn’t planning to visit England at my age anyway. But I was planning on a trip to Las Vegas. Now I’ll just have to drive. We’ll see where this goes. And how far. There doesn’t appear to be enough of us to stop it. But this slippery slope is getting very dangerous. And like Operation Warpspeed, it’s happening on Trump’s watch. Rationalize that, Maga cult.
I feel you. They’re doing the same here in Europe—pushing digital IDs for everyone by 2030. For now, it’s ‘optional,’ but we know where this is headed. They’ll criminalize anyone who opts out of this digital prison. Once taxes can only be paid with digital currency linked to the ID system, it’ll be comply or face prison. It’s a shame so few people see what’s coming. If there were ever a time for revolution, it’s now.
Do you think you really can opt out, when you’re participating in modern society? Digital ID is more or less already here since a couple of years. (Just because we don’t actively use it it does not mean it doesn’t exist) Why do you think they demand in most EU countries bio-metric photos for an ID since +10 years? Probably not for the cashier, asking you about your age when buying alcohol/tobacco. There is no reason to collect machine readable photography, except you’re building an electronic database about the population.
I am not advocating giving up on this topic, I just describe that digital identity is nothing new and used without our consent. Its yesterdays talk. Maybe anybody can tell me where one can pay anonymous taxes not linked to an ID system? Whats about the various debt registers profiling everyone without consent for decades? Time for “revolution” was yesterday, when one wanted to keep the status quo.

For now we ARE allowed to travel domestically by air without a Real ID as long as we show a passport with our not-real ID. That’s a fact.
It’s the same with entering buildings and so forth.
Now, if you do not own a passport you will need to get some other type of federal ID to go along with the not Real ID.

I don’t really see a difference between a passport and a national ID. In the end its the same, your bio-metric data end up in a big database. Expiry date of your documents ensure that info is up to date. Side note: In most (all?) European countries you cannot even get an Passport/ID without additional Fingerprints stored electronically on a chip/database.

I’m not not opposed to IDs per se for certain services, but a good old Paper card with photo and stamp also does the job (in a human world). My remember my father’s 50 years old driving license with black and white picture when he was about 18. Was perfectly fine to use, before it was outlawed. Fuck them!

You have a point there, but the solution is probably not to give the biggest crooks authority over your identity? Using this kind of reasoning means we ultimately have to lock up everybody nice and safe in prison because the current “bad guys” doing “bad” stuff. If you are concerned about the integrity of IDs you have a multitude of offline solutions to make them “safer”.

So, to avoid more 9/11 terrorist attacks (which they themselves did) a stupid Commission recommended and enacted the Real ID, many States opposed but bended over to get it in the end.
In my opinion there is a big difference between Digital ID which I see as a false ID fully open for misuse, ID fraud and manipulation, and the Real ID which I see as a mere bureaucratic control instrument like the driver license.
I would bite the dust in this case here, to get around, to get the machinery going, as we do with a lot of other unpleasant bureaucratic things.

Reiner Fullmich has just been sentenced to 3 years and 9 months in prison. Particularly explosive: he was not credited with 5 months of pre-trial detention (he’s been remanded in custody for 18 months already) on the grounds that he had delayed the proceedings.
It was clearly a political verdict: Reiner is too dangerous for the system. The verdict was also delivered with conspicuous haste: the last word was spoken at 3 p.m. and the verdict was handed down at 5 p.m. Media representatives were informed in advance on the same day.
The defense, represented by Katja Wöhrmann, had hardly any room for motions for evidence. Witnesses were only admitted to a limited extent and some motions were rejected as “pointless”. According to the court, the proceedings had already been considered ready for a decision since May 2023 – a clear indication that the subsequent taking of evidence no longer had any influence.
Füllmich is still facing further proceedings; they will try to incriminate him even further. An appeal is likely.

Yes, I saw: “for embezzling 700,000 euros in donations”. However, whatever you think of him, can you name another person who has been sentenced to 18 months, effectively in solitary confinement for contempt of court ?
That contempt of court was for refusing an order not to publish a video which appears to contain only facts.
The maximum recommended period in UK soltary confinement is 42 days.
First, if he were in prison he would be in solitary for his own safety, since his views would make him a target of a certain demographic in the general population of British prisons.
Second, since the narrative is that he is in solitary there would conveniently be no witnesses within the gen pop of the prison to say that they have seen him. Therefore, he could be anywhere, including sunning himself on a quiet foreign beach far away from prying eyes.
