This Time They’ve Gone Too Far
Sylvia Shawcross
There is no fool like an old fool, I was thinking, standing on the deck in the cooling night air with a plate of cat food. I called out, and they came—the three of them—soft violet shadows emerging from the indigo dark.
There were once five. Two are gone now. I accept this with a sadness that is clean and uncomplicated. The wolves, the owls, the foxes—they take their measure of life here in the night. Their presence is neither cruel nor kind; it simply is. Loving these three raccoons does not grant them immunity from the wild, nor does it protect me from the hurts that come with caring. Love has always demanded a price. Life does, too.
Some people mend at the broken places, or so Hemingway said. Others—many of us—simply limp. We gather whatever tattered remnants remain and weave them into something that passes for a life. Some manage to stitch the holes closed, turning them into gentler memories with time. Others live in the shadows of those memories until the end, not with hope but with patience, not with pain but with a kind of stoic clarity. We don’t all get to choose which kind we become.
Tonight, their dark raccoon eyes catch the porch light, turning into tiny universes—stars in a black sky. And high above, a comet is passing through, dazzling us with its unfamiliarity. They call it 3I/Atlas: an object unlike what we believed a comet to be. Its light is strange. Its direction inexplicable. Its very existence reminds us how little we understand, and what gifts the unknown can be. The wild heart of the night. The deep song of uncharted universes. Even grief. Even death.
For we are human, and only human. We were never gods.
Except some now aspire to be. And that is why I’m writing this. There are poisonous spiders dancing behind the eyes of these would-be gods—something cold, something crawling—and I see it clearly now. Because this time, they have gone too far.
They have also told us who they are. That clarity is perhaps the only gift in the mess they’ve created. They are not like you or me. Not because of money or fame, but because something essential is missing. Something human.
I remember a day when I stood at the kitchen sink, glancing out the window to catch sight of the robin nesting in the cedar. A red sedan pulled into the driveway, covered in decals. Out stepped my husband, smiling, strong, alive. Radiant. My heart leapt.
“It was all a nightmare,” I thought. “None of it was true. He didn’t suffer. He didn’t die. And I didn’t live through the rubble of what followed.” I ran to the door—and woke up. The nightmare remained. It was called reality. I think it was the worst pain I have ever felt, believing for that brief flicker of a moment that the dream was real.
And something I saw recently—something monstrous—dragged that day back to me.
It was an advertisement for a new AI app.
One that lets you “bring back” your dead loved ones.
You can chat with them.
Hear their voices.
Ask their advice.
Introduce them to your newborn child.
A young woman in the ad talks to a digital ghost of her relative on her phone. She smiles. The app glows softly. The implication is unmistakable: grief is now optional.
What a shame I didn’t have such a tool in those shattered days and nights after the funeral—when grief ravaged, numbed, clawed, and reshaped my heart. Had I owned such an app, my husband never truly would have died. Is that the idea? That we need never grieve again?
The monsters have conquered death, haven’t they? They imagine themselves gods—creating life in laboratories, now daring to abolish death altogether. They believe they are building a utopia.
Except the thing on the phone would not be my husband.
And the would-be gods, with their spider-filled eyes, do not understand what that means.
They took a trope from science fiction and packaged it as a product for people whose lives and losses they cannot begin to comprehend. A service, but only for those who can pay. A resurrection, but only in pixels. Why wouldn’t we be grateful? Only a psychopath could wonder that.
Or perhaps they are not monsters in the operatic sense—perhaps they are simply well-meaning idiots. Utopias, after all, are supposed to be happy places, free of pain or hardship. But these architects of bliss lack the most fundamental understanding of the human soul. Their ignorance alone is enough to make them monstrous.
Death, the great unknown, is not a glitch to be debugged. It is not a negative metric on a chart to be optimized away. It is not for them to toy with.
Some boundaries exist for good reason.
Monstrous idiots building utopias must be stopped.
Now.

Very well written. And I agree.
But regardless of how we rant, rage, and disparage this technology, it’s going to be a hit.
Just imagine, my mother could actually praise me for the ten A’s I brought home instead of berating me for the one B.
My father could actually spend time with me instead of with his buddies at the bar.
My ex-wife could actually say those words which no woman EVER says “I was wrong”
My boss could actually tell me I did a good job instead of being pissed off that I only got three times as much done last week as any other employee when he expected six.
This is not Heaven, where you get to re-unite with the loved ones that you have lost.
It may be better. You get the loved ones you always wanted.
A lot of people are going to LOVE this Blue Pill.
Tempting. Very tempting.
But, I ain’t payin’ for it…I love the Pain…
Perfect! I completely agree. No gain without pain.
”There are poisonous spiders dancing ” ..
That floored me .Such writing ! Style ,syntax ,synaesthesia !

How I admire your ability to describe any thing Sylvia !
Unfortunately Sylvia it may get far worse if Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror episode ‘Be right back’ were to come true. In the episode a woman’s dead boyfriend called Ash is reconstructed using AI to recreate him digitally, based on his digital footprint especially his excessive internet and social media presence while alive. Later her new digital resconstructed Ash offers her the next level service – a lifelike android clone of himself identical in physical appearance.
https://explainedthis.com/serials/be-right-back-meaning/
This episode aired in 2013. Brooker has a habit of being way ahead of the curve, uncanny with his predictive storylines. I think someone hands him a futuristic story outline and he writes the script and turns into a TV episode. It seems to me that these narratives are placed into the public consciousness well ahead of time through film and TV – predictive programming,
Exactly. Predictive programing is the “personal lubricant” which eases the agenda into our collective orifices.
More like ‘jumping shark’ – the hype for AI seems way bigger than the reality. But then it is the same with space technology and ‘cures’ of numerous medical conditions.
The primary purpose of the massive AI data center hysteria is to have them ready for the brutal introduction of the neofeudal fascist surveillance state, coming shortly to a town near you. In the UK and Germany it has already arrived. They are not expected to run a profit. The secondary purpose for them is to introduce more huge amounts of fiat toilet paper into national economies which accelerates currency debasement and allows the fake economies to avoid implosion until the elitistas decide to pull the plug. Also to redirect scarce water and electrical resources to increase the general misery of the hoi polloi.
The most important thing is that you believe in it.
They build a 5 billion £ AI Digital Data Center and you believe in it!
The most important thing is that you believe in it.
They build a multi trillion £ AI Jesus Digital Data Center and you believe in it!
I am speechless; actually speechless; in the way a man might stand frozen before an open grave that’s been dug for the entire human race.
This isn’t just another grotesque footnote in the transhumanist fever-dream. This is the moment the mask slips completely and the cult reveals its final sacrament: the deliberate, ecstatic annihilation of what makes us human. Everything I’ve seen; neural implants, brain-computer wetware, gene-edited designer babies, the slow drip of “body outdated, upgrade now” propaganda; was merely the warm-up act. I thought I’d grown numb to their derangement. I was wrong.
This latest abomination didn’t even cross my mind as a possibility, and that’s the most terrifying part. My imagination, soaked for years in their dystopian bile, still had guardrails. Theirs does not. They have gone full demon: gleeful, erect, drooling at the prospect of ripping the soul out of the species and replacing it with a servile, post-human husk that begs to be wired into the machine forever.
This is not progress. This is not evolution. This is the most depraved, soul-raping desecration ever vomited up by a civilization that has declared war on its own humanity. They don’t want to “enhance” us. They want to exterminate us; the real us; the flesh-and-spirit creatures made of dirt and divine breath; and dance in the corpse while the servers hum the funeral dirge.
Every cell in my body is screaming. This is blasphemy against existence itself. And the worst part? They’re not even hiding it anymore. They’re proud. They can’t wait to force it on the rest of us.
God help us all. The abyss just looked up and smiled.

These creatures are necrophiles, or to use JK Rowling’s term, “death eaters.”
CS Lewis called them NICE.
“Jules?” said Filostrato, “why do you speak of him? I say it was all true. The world I look forward to is the world of perfect purity. The clean mind and the clean minerals. What are the things that most offend the dignity of man? Birth and breeding and death. How if we are about to discover that Mind can live without any of the three?”
Superb comment to an excellent essay!
So heartening to know there are others who understand the extent of the soullessness of these whoever/whatever-they-are-entities.
We can’t do them the courtesy of calling them ‘people’ and don’t want to use the word ‘creature’ for risk of insulting nature’s mammals, birds, reptiles…
Yes, the mask of these ‘would-be gods’ (as Sylvia labels them) has certainly slipped and only the wilfully blind can fail to see exactly what we face.
I think they do want to exterminate us – and in a literal, not just figurative sense.
Plant Earth is f*cked. And they ain’t picking up the bill…so that entails separating wheat, from chaff.
We tried, but they are unstoppable:
For FS, of course they were unstoppablr:Romans 8:30
King James Version
“They have gone full demon”.
Perfect! That’s exactly what they have done.
The schism within society ever widening. Hard to imagine the huge segment of humanity, the mask wearers and shot takers all glued to their phones, not embracing this.
I’ve watched a couple of videos the last week or so, including one with Trump, and noticed a kind of herky jerky effect with persons speaking. Looking closer, I noticed disclaimers stating that these were AI generated videos using “real” words and opinions of those speaking, like I said, including Trump. The premise being that they might be AI generated but the information is the same as coming directly from the horse’s mouth. Trump could literally be dead and they could still put out a video of him speaking that would look totally real.
I am astounded. Maybe because I’m old and didn’t realize it was so advanced, but to me this changes everything. Even before AI, if you were an aware individual, you knew that there was plenty of propaganda, misinformation, disinformation, and outright lies in media articles and videos. But now with these videos that look exactly like the person speaking, you do know what is real and what isn’t. The rules of the game have changed, man. This is not good. Some of us are knowledgeable enough and aware enough to be able to handle this, but for the vast majority of “sheeple”, the control measures of propaganda are almost lock and throw the key away kind. They have no fucking chance. The almost complete control of the media by the rich, especially the zionist billionaires who have a specific agenda, is an existential crisis at this point.
Most laws do not apply to the government. In practice, big shots such as leaders, legislators, judges and plutocrats are also exempt. Enforcers exempt themselves. This is the best democracy money can buy.
No doubt.
I saw a video recently with “Anthony Hopkins” – his image and his voice, about what it’s like when an adult child does not speak to you any longer. It was very strange. I thought, “wow, Anthony Hopkins is doing utube videos”? Then I saw that there were a few of them.
They are gone now. I suspect that they were AI generated.
This is along the same lines as a person taking interviews from several substacks and podcasts and incorporating them into their own utube video as if they did the interviewing and such. Happens to Whitney Webb all the time.
Creepy.
Yes, over the past several months a new video “bootleg” trend has emerged to further pollute and degrade Internet discourse. The bootleggers use AI to create (or “rip off”, as we said way back when) fake channels of material lifted from popular Internet analysts and pundits.
The first wave I noticed was fake “Professor Richard D. Wolff” channels, but I also now see fake channels featuring John Mearsheimer, Alexander Mercouris, etc.
YouTube does have a “report channel” feature, and I compulsively downvote and report these easily-spotted AI-zombified frauds. Many post disclaimers claiming that they are “fan sites”, but it’s identity theft notwithstanding.
Reporting them is probably vain and futile; it’s like trying to pick ants off an expectorated lemon drop. But I do it anyway. 🐜 🍬 😡
And I daresay is going to get worse with the advancement of AI.
Perhaps reporting is not in vain because the Anthony Hopkins were there and then gone pretty quickly.
Although, I suppose if it was Sir Anthony doing the reporting they took it seriously.
A horrible development. Jordan Peterson was complaining about it too.
Of course it is identity theft.
‘I see the judge who is sitting on the Palestine Action court case, UK’ has been removed and replaced with 3 judges who are linked to the Israeli lobby and are all pro Zionist.
The legal system is fkd. These types of judges need to be called out and held to public account. If that means a new law system controlled by people and not the Government, then that’s what it means.
Who decided the judges’ removal is the key to who and what is behind this decision?
Sly propaganda Madison Square PR nudge with fat black guy singing over
the rainbow called Isreal.
The Hawaiian musician and singer Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwoʻole died in 1997 at the age of 38. At the end of the video his funeral is shown. All those people gathered to celebrate his life and his ashes were scattered into the Pacific Ocean. Iz had a troubled childhood and food was used to fill the emptiness inside him. Throughout his life he suffered from obesity.
It must be terrible to hate fat black guys, people named Israel, and rainbows.
Actually 38 is old. He got his childhood, his teenage years, his young years, and his adult senior years 8 pices after 30. Thats enough!
He should be a happy man, because many people who live in a war zone dont make it that far, and also in Gaza they dont! He got famous!
‘Fat man, in the bathtub, with the blues?’
George Galloway has been elected to parliament seven times, and on many issues is one of the most conservative politicians in the U.K. But when he criticized the Ukraine war, he was detained by British police and had his property confiscated. He’s now in exile.
He also criticised Israel, and he criticised all wars.
I mean, he live in the middle of the Empire of which the sun never sets, and where the Royal Overhead is Chairwoman for the 300 and who owns The Dew City of London.
Plus he was so stupid to be a member of the Labour Party. Dont piss on the hands that feed you. Just a good advice.
Webb. Greenawald. Anglin. Snowden.
Better to have lost a husband than to never have found your prince.
Any woman with many husbands is rich. ;-).
in the Greek myth Orpheus also strives to rejoin his dead beloved, but it’s not the actual woman he’s lost who he meets in the Underworld, it’s her Shade, a sort of unreal echo, emanating from a well of memory that is forever anchored in the past, and his process of grieving entails leaving this ghost behind to return to the world of the living
why though should we be surprised that people today imagine their deceased loved ones as an app? even the friends and relatives we have who are still alive have been largely virtualized, and we interact with them more often than not through screens, via “a scanner darkly”, as a sci-fi visionary once put it, enabling us to switch them on and off by means of the power button on the side of our device
it’s not merely a symptom of technological addiction, of course, this tendency to reduce our connections with other human beings to artificial images, the ancient story from Greece warned of the same trap thousands of years before smartphones, as in some sense does the episode with the golden idol in the shadow of Mount Sinai from the Old Testsment, as the temptation to give a fixed, tangible form to something transcendentally divine, the deity calling itself “I Am” or the inscrutable soul of a cherished companion, becomes too strong to resist
Here’s another perspective: First though I totally agree with you about connecting artificially with loved one’s who’ve passed. Unfortunately I too share this life experience and how full of grief it is and I don’t want some fake AI version of my late wife! That said, I view AI as not being stoppable. We might want to stop it, but it’s like a coming tidal wave – it won’t be stopped. Even those in high power that wanted to stop it have realized that it’s not stoppable (prisoner’s dilemma) short of a massive asteroid strike on earth or a giant solar flare EMP that takes down all computers and electronics everywhere (and that’s not exactly a panacea). Every major technological “advance” has come with upsides and downsides and this while much larger is essentially the same. My choice is to see what’s coming, roll and deal with it and stay human.
I gotta change my picture. I’m older now. That aside, When I said “Monstrous idiots building utopias must be stopped. Now.” I bloody meant it. It is not just this. They need to be reined in somehow at least. Their fiddling is killing and enslaving people’s lives. Why we did not regulate or at least vote on some of these “innovative technologies” long before they even started I don’t know. Just because you can “think” of something, doesn’t mean you should do it. It needs regulation. And some sort of code of ethics. We do not need to be branded with universal IDs like cattle. We do not want to talk to our dearly departed. We do not want new war machines. Go away with your utopia and live there. Leave the rest of us alone. (I’m in a mood)
(Trying again).
They’ve been going too far for a long time;
https://realleft.substack.com/p/operation-gladio-part-i-what-was
Excellent link. Thanks, Johnny.
They’ve been going too far for a long time;
The ghost in the machine is there not to bring back the dead but to draw us deeper into the machine until we disappear as ghosts and die to the world. The real replacement theory, from the beginning of the industrial (c)age, has been to merge humanity with machinery of production for the “masters (monsters) of mankind” (Adam Smith, whose pin factory provides perfect illustration early on). We’re now at the stage of industrial development (4IR) where their nightmares of history may prevail to make all reality virtual dystopia for final (‘smart’) solutions of control over resources. As at every step of the way that’s brought us here, they cannot do this without us, already ghostly, continuing to function as no more than cogs in the machine, serving a social system or megamachine of class rule as old as ‘civilization’ already gone too far from its foundation in organized crime against humanity.
“Listen now to what the land is telling us – all of us, remnant orphans of pillage and scattered tribes. It is telling us that the time has come, that the empire’s days are running out, that it is time to begin a dance, a variegated, brilliant Ghost Dance for the end of the millennium, that will bring together all the broken villages, the runaway slaves, the rebels who have regained their humanity by deserting the machine, all those who are seeing the signs and beginning to understand that it was always a lie, and that one way or another it will come to its end.” (David Watson)
Thanks for speaking to, of, and for the human spirit finding its freedom among all our relations of the living.
You write so beautifully Sylvia. Thank you for bringing your unique beauty into the world for us.
This Irish mother and lawyer certainly thinks they’ve gone too far;
https://brownstone.org/articles/how-the-covid-inquiry-protected-the-establishment/
Every governmental enquiry has one purpose, and one purpose only, to distract and cover up from any wrongdoing by the perpetrators of the crime that is under examination. This is never more exemplified than by the cover up that was initiated via the corporate press over the so called ‘Partygate’. They used every trick in the book to draw you away from the one question that should have been asked; why weren’t they afraid of this deadly virus?
Mum liked that video
She’s dead now.
That was actually inspired by a comment in this video
R.E.M. – 10/02/85 Germany 11. Can’t Get There From Here
That fat guy over the rainbow kind of skips the important chords and half the song.
Video clips are rarely accurate in those details.
They’re all about selling pretty, shiny people, and sex.
A good, thoughtful piece. I was left wondering though whether there was someone actually in the red sedan or whether the red sedan was a product of a literary or otherwise fertile imagination.
Either way, might not the AI reconstruction of a person be not too far removed from a static photo? That entity with which we’re all familiar that preserves someone at a fixed moment in time.
A non-static AI version would at least (presumably) talk and react much like the original. which is arguably more interesting than any static portrayal of them that never moves or does anything much really?
I guess we’re all prone to ‘freeze’ people at that moment when we last knew them. Meeting them again always being a shock to the system.
Would we even recognize most acquaintances from 20, 30 years prior on the street if we passed them. Unlikely in most cases I would reckon. I’m sure I’ve walked past at least a few such cases and some with whom I’ve sense an odd pang or sense of recognition.
If AI serves to revive such memories might it not be such a bad thing? 🤔.
Yes. It is a bad thing. Absolutely. Utterly. Completely.
Its artificial and disgusting. Dont understand how you can be flirting around it.
If I should find any parallel I would think of Lolita Plastic Dolls, Plastic Dildos, Artificial Dildo machines. Its the same low life level.
How is the new AI app any different than religion?
“The fool says in his heart, there is no God”.
Logic easily disproves “big bang” “primordial ooze” and “evolution theory”, and easily proves the fact there is a creator. One can identify and acknowledge the creator through logic alone, no need for religion.
If the medical mafia does not take all your money in retirement
and if you’re lucky to not make it into the nursing home,
then if assisted dying is not an option,
Then buying an app that brings back a dead cat or dog or one of your favorite humans
that will be the money shot.
Zohran Mamdani
Everyone is reading this wrong, as usual, most of them on purpose. When did I figure it out? Not until today, when departing New York City governor Eric Adams went to Israel and gave a speech saying, among other things
Hmmm. That’s a bit raw, isn’t it? Why would the black Adams be going to Israel, touring the fake
October 7 site, and giving incendiary speeches like that? That’s when it dawned on me:
How could we not have seen it before? The dues specialize in this above all other things, other than looting the treasuries of the world. They create their own opposition, so that they can steer all narratives.
What do I mean? I mean that Mamdani is just another Jewish tool, pretending to be the bad guy
socialist and supporter of Palestine. No doubt they will manufacture a bunch of duish murders and other fake events in New York over the next couple of years, allowing the governor and Feds to swoop in and crack down on all opposition. They will use it as the excuse to pass more anti-Semitism laws, hate laws, hate speech laws, anti-terror laws, and so on, beefing up censorship even more and accelerating the police state. We already see it in Mexico City:
Don’t believe me? Well, do what I did and research this Mamdani jerk. It isn’t hard to figure out.
Zohran Kwame Mamdani, October 18, 1991. Wow, a lot of aces and eights there! Just a coincidence,
I’m sure. Here’s another one, then: he just turned 34, which seems extremely young to be mayor of the largest city in the US, doesn’t it, with zero qualifications? But he began running for mayor before October 18, which means he was. . . 33. These people come into their full promotion at 33. We have seen it a thousand times.

We can hold these politicians, bankers, and lawyers accountable by using their own corrupt laws against them. Every one of these arseholes is committing fraud daily. Everyone who addresses a letter to your legal person is committing criminal fraud.
When you go to buy a house, the lawyer acts firstly for his own benefit, then the crown, and finally, you. He will create a legalese title and register it at the land registry. That’s where the house becomes an asset of the crown, while you pay all the bills, do the maintenance, council tax, and pay the mortgage; they have true ownership. You are the keeper with minimal rights.
No, they have legalized fraud to an unimaginable degree, at least in all the western countries, a 60 year project. In the USSA, they did it state by state, not federal, by amending the Uniform Commercial Code in each state. Read The Great Taking by David Rogers Webb, free in PDF. Or watch his video explaining it. He dotted every “i” and crossed every “t.” Every claim is referenced and footnoted for the exacting.

Thanks, I will read it. But I know what they have done and how they have done it. Pity I can’t get it through to those posting here.
Truth is, they all know the world is going to shit, but when you explain the most important thing they should know, they cover their eyes and dont want to know.

Also, what a lovely article. And from multiple angles.
This new app is a mere extension to the smorgasbord of entertainments available today: booze, the EPL, Strictly Come Dancing,..
They distract us from contemplating. Keep us within the Red-Blue spectrum. Blunt our emotional range, keeping us clear of those highs & lows; cause they could puncture the cocoon.
An inert, pliable public suits our Masters. And grief disrupts economic efficiency. It all makes sense.
If they needed the spiritualist thing in the past, they will off course also need it today and in the future.
A businessman thinks he/she is doing people a favour and probably do not know what he is dealing with. Earning a buck on the idea. It was not him to begin with.
But the Bible is clear on this point notwithstanding the many excuses people will come up with to get around it:
King Saul was put to death for contacting the dead. 1. 1 Chronicles 10:9-14 So they stripped off Saul’s armor and cut off his head. …
You can’t talk to dead family members. You will really be talking to demons who pose as them, and if you get caught into their sphere you cant get back. The demons will secure you forever are blinded.
Sin and guilt, and eternal damnation;
The biggest crimes of organised religion.
Geez, imagine a world where no behaviour is wrong, where no one ever feels bad about what they’ve done, and where no one is ever held accountable for what they’ve done.
Yes, you can talk to [wrongly-termed] ‘dead’ family members (in a number of ways: i) through proven genuine mediums, ii) directly, if one possesses clairaudience/clairvoyance), it is NOT ‘demons posing as them’. You ‘christians’ around the world have been SO duped!! None of you carry out scholarly research into the actual facts/truths, you ‘blindly believe’ what evil priestcraft spews out at the gullible masses who fall for the BS of ‘christianity’.
I cant speak for the rest, but for my part I just get a bad feeling even thinking of speaking with someone from the past.
I have difficulty enough doing this comment/conversation here on the net, yet.
Thank you, Sylvia.
A neat product. I showed that ad to my technosavvy daughter and son-in-law and their response was, not to put too fine a point on it, revulsion. I’m more curious myself but I’ve always been a technology developer rather than a technology consumer so I see all these advances as technology demonstrators, not necessarily real or useful products. In fact like a lot of technologies the fact we can do something doesn’t necessarily mean that its deployment at scale is a good idea. We just get rushed into it because we tend to prioritize quick moneymaking over social usefulness.
For a product like this the obvious question is “How is it going to be monetized?”. This obviously follows the Internet model — “If the product is free then you are the product”. In this case this is going to be literally true. At some point you’re either going to have to keep making the payments to keep Grandma ‘alive’ (like a sophisticated Tamagotchi). The alternative is that Corporate’s going to ‘own’ Grandma’s persona which given the way that SCOTUS (US Supreme Court) ruled that corporate abstractions are legally people means that potentially Grandma could become a saleable asset, not just an abstraction but a legal entity capable of owning property, paying debts and so on. (Its the problem with immortality — surely a usurer’s dream?)
I can’t wait for all this technology to converge. We have the robots, we have the avatars, we can ‘create’ people like entities. From a technology perspective, fantastic. From a human perspective, utterly pointless. But I suppose we’ll have to find this out the hard way. As usual.
lcke was right all along.
They do messed up shit to make you not want the good things from utopia.
What did people do before AI? Talk to the dead through a stupid clergyman.
At least AI isn’t tied to some bullshit god(s).
Its the same. Demons will fill up the machine and whisper into your ears.
The history of greed and stupidity makes such a role for AI likely.
The wannabe gods are the super rich you know them, the Ellison’s the Musk’s, Bezos etc, they seem to be the ones, that those smitten by their wealth attend their meeting and conferences and applaud and praise them, the brainwashing media does the same, they put them on a pedestal because of their vast wealth.
In a way its not the person that they are lauding – I’d imagine most of them are odious shits, but their vast wealth and usually tech businesses – these disgustingly rich people – prove that – the goal today is still one of becoming wealthy at just about any cost.
Humanity is f*cked if we keep chasing wealth – over what really matters.
Hello fellow MoA barfly! I hardly post but really enjoy your comments. There should be a thread to share recommended websites. Larry Johnson, Strategic Culture, Global Research, Lew Rockwell are some of my faves. Also RT and 4chan. Haha. See you at the bar!
Thank You, and yes I agree, it would be a good idea, throw in the Grayzone – Mintpress, and Craig Murray’s blog and several more.
“Some boundaries exist for good reason.” Yes. We used to know this. Not anymore. “No boundaries!” is the war cry of many, many people now. It is the war cry in the war against fundamental boundaries that used to make us human. Thank you for reminding me, reminding us, Sylvia.
Love the racoons❤️. This opens the door to Evil, as humans at this point are mortal God alone has immortality…
Thank you Sylvia. When I saw the ad a few weeks ago it made my skin crawl. I know amidst my own seemingly bottomless experience of deep grief at the death of my wife a year ago – that in the midst of such completely disabling vulnerability – that were it possible for me to simply “push a button” and be able to see “her” smile just one more time – I might find it impossible to resist. That is what makes this so beastly. In place of our most profound soul scouring pain it offers cheap diversion. A sort of adult variation of the video games my young grandsons find so attractive and addictive. The price we will pay financially for this refusing to “face reality” will I suspect be much higher in what is left of our humanity, than can be ever calculated in dollars or pounds.
You, as I, understand what this means. I am very sad to hear of your loss gbossa. It is not easy. I do remember that overwhelming need to see them just one more time. But saying that, I can’t really see people doing this who are grieving but I don’t know about the up and coming generations. We will pay, as you say. I am happy to be old now. I don’t want to see this all come to some kind of fruition.
Thanks Sylvia – so strange to see that the “ghost in the machine” has changed my last sentence – replacing the word “psychologically” with the word “financially” – I guess the AI gods know what’s really “important” in our society. : )
They are predators, preying on our emotions and capitalizing on our grief. And our shared humanity. We always knew, but now they are just laughing in our faces. Those of us that still have souls left, after the endless wars, endless lies and especially after the barbaric cruelty of the Plandemic years.
I visit a dear friend on hospice, and I cannot imagine this woman, a truly sweet, funny and innocent dying alone in those years. Kids in the Global South going hungry, dying from malaria because TPTB decides to halt all shipping. Inhumane. When that was ‘over’, circa 2022, 2023, I thought: next up, war, famine, what do they got planned next? Well, Ukraine and Gaza.
Thanks for your reply and insight. My condolances.
… a nightmare. Announced.

Hannah escapes the Special Forces. Its possible to escape, if you can dream it you can do it! https://youtu.be/yAkAigjVFRo .
“Over the Rainbow” is more than a simply fantasy of Escape. It’s an anthem of Hope, particularly during times of great adversity and threat.
Thank you Sylvia Shawcross. Your message resonates.
You were hoping. Doesnt help you much.
Resistance and rejection are a self-help dynamic and only meaningful when personal
and in MY case you are 100% wrong, Erik.
Beautiful, as usual. Thanks Sylvia.
Yup Sylvia, you have really touched the audience/us in sore points.
