I’ve had a cold, and as a cold Traditionalist, that means I’ve been sitting on the couch in my dressing gown, sipping herbal tea with honey in it. (The Zealots from The Church of New Colds would have me masking up and gaffer taping plastic sheets over my doors and windows, but they are odd people).
Naturally, it stands to reason that the first time I’ve been ill in years happens to be the same week the world decides to set itself on fire.
Or at least pretend to, but we’ll get to that.
Maduro has been kidnapped. Iran teeters on the edge of an old-fashioned colour revolution with a new Shah waiting in the wings, there’s talk of British troops on the ground in Ukraine and a US invasion of Greenland.
The New Year has dawned on a world bursting into chaos.
But is it genuine chaos? Or contrived chaos?
Regular readers know I would tend towards the latter. Fundamentally, I cannot reconcile the two worlds with which we are presented.
On the one hand, we have a set of nation-states wholly in concert on almost all the broader issues. They all work together to promote pandemics and climate catastrophes; they synchronise in passing near-identical legislation to tackle the same non-existent or heavily exaggerated problems.
They all have central banks “printing” fake money, they all have so-called “free-market” capitalism (in reality, a construct of state-protected monopolies that siphon public money into the private sector).
They all agree to pretend that Covid is a thing and the vaccines are safe and the climate is changing and the internet will be nothing but snuff films and child pornography if they don’t put a digital surveillance chip in everyone’s brain as soon as possible
Central bank digital currency, digital identity, genetically modified food…All of this is resolved supranational policy.
They tell the same lies to serve the same ends. They are all the same.
And yet, on the other hand, we’re told they cannot work out a single territorial or political conflict or disagreement in anything but the most crude, base or violent ways.
Nowhere is the clash of apparent cooperation vs reported conflict more apparent than nuclear war – or rather the lack thereof. India and Pakistan went to war (briefly). Both reportedly have nukes, neither used them. The US is seizing Russian tankers in the Caribbean and the UK is considering putting British troops on the ground in Ukraine.
Is anyone talking about Nuclear war? What happened to Mutually Assured Destruction? When did that stop being a consideration?
The only explanation I can think of is that there is an agreement – either tacit or explicit – that these conflicts will be allowed to go so far and no further.
And that makes them fake. Unquestionably, irrefutably, fake.
If you can agree not to have a nuclear war, you can agree not to have a war at all. Any war you end up having, logically speaking, is a war both sides want to happen.
I come back to this quote from Orwell a lot, because I’m not sure it’s possible to better express the thought:

I have a feeling there is a grander pattern embedded in this chaos that will emerge before the end of the year, something along postnational lines, arguing that statehood generates conflicts that globalism would solve.
I’m still coughing and spluttering between sentences, so I’m being quick. We’ll go into this in more detail when my brain is less crowded.

Finally, someone is saying what I’ve been saying for years now. The odds that nuclear war has been avoided to date by pure chance is simply unbelievable. Read Daniel Ellsberg’s book, Doomsday Machine, and you realize what a tightrope walk the world was on. One mistake and a domino effect goes into motion, especially since computers have taken over the job of launch. There is no time for a quick phone call to another leader to call things off. Those days are long gone. I can see the elites getting together at some point, maybe in the 1980’s???, after they realized that nuclear war would be the end to them as well as us. Even if they could hide from the initial hits in bunkers underground, the world above would be uninhabitable for the foreseeable future due to nuclear winter and ecological collapse. No one wants to spend the rest of their lives in a hole in the ground, even if it is a very nice one.
Been reading through the thread and I keep noticing this tension—some people focusing on how staged and scripted it all feels, others who cant get past the real deaths and destroyed families. I get both sides. But honestly, it feels like that exact deadlock is part of the trap.
If there are people at the top actually orchestrating this chaos, they must be loving this right now, its playing perfectly into their hands.
Think about it. On one side, the tragedy is obviously real. People are dying. It’s natural to get emotional and demand “solutions.” But that fear is exactly what the system uses to justify stepping in. They wait for us to beg for safety so they can roll out more control.
On the other side (and I’m guilty of this too), we see the patterns. We see the bad acting and the plot holes. But there’s a danger there too—if we treat it all like a movie, we just turn into an audience. We sit back and critique the script, but we don’t actually do anything about the people running the projector.
It feels like classic non-linear warfare. The point isn’t to win the argument; it’s just to muddy the water so much that we can’t organize. If we can’t even agree on what reality is, we’ll never unite to stop them.
We’re basically exhausting ourselves arguing over the nature of the cage, which is exactly what they want. The only way to actually ‘walk out’ is to stop taking the bait to fight each other. Whether you think this is a real war or a staged one, we can all agree we’re being played by the same people at the top. If we focused 100% of that energy on them instead of attacking eachother here, the show would get cancelled pretty quick.
No, the people at the top are divided into competing factions. Each faction competes for our support. If the factions were united, they would no longer need our support. At that point, 80% of the population would be eradicated and the rest would live as microchipped slaves.

It is indeed time to dismantle NATO and for Europe to organise a common security for all parts of Europe and Western Russia. That will not be imposed by Vladimir Putin, but it will for the first time take into consideration the common security concerns of the Western border of Russia. Your comment is perfectly reasonable. By “fascism” you only mean the corporate control of the state. Fascism is against democracy, which is the people control of the state. The US has been a fascist nation since its inception. While its founding documents — Dec. of Independence and Constitution — are admirably democrats (with some exceptions, it was in real practice ruled by the capitalist elites. In the early days this was the landowning class and later after the civil war the government was taken over by the corporate/banking elites.
This also means the US has always been an empire, first in the conquest of North America and closer to the 20th century after the Spanish American war a conquest of the whole world. Trump is right in line with all US presidents in his imperialism and fascism. We’ve had friendly faced fascists and ugly faced fascists. At some point, Russia, China, and the rest of the BRICS and SCO nations will have to force the US to stop. The US will pirate one tanker too many and the hypersonic rockets will begin to fly. The US has about a dozen aircraft carriers and they will all be sunk in minutes.
The future does not look good. This is the judgement of the Union of Concerned Scientists. Their clock is a warning. But the world is run by madmen like Trump and his master Netanyahu. They really don’t consider the consequences of what they do.

What Is real?
If this question is asked within the mind, then you can claim as many ‘realities’ as you want – depending on their configuration within an always shifting context of seeing in different lights.
What am I accepting real (as my mind) in this moment or situation is not a question for the mind but for observation of the use to which I am putting it – as the purpose that is running – with or without conscious awareness.
What then do I WANT – does set my purpose – to which all else then serves or aligns accordingly.
The first seems to run itself as learned, acquired or trained habit that holds a sense of invested familiarity. We have largely adapted to our ‘world’ as a composite of reality augmented by ‘coping strategies’. However, coping strategies are responses to conflicts that also ‘carry’ the pattern of such conflicts within their ‘solutions’ – by which the deeper conflict is masked over and substituted with diversionary strategies.
In many ways the attempt to make reality fit our needs or limit reality to our tolerances, runs as a defence system, that runs automatically or ‘dark’ as a pre-emptive and self-protective recoil of fear framed as self-consciousness. Our self image or self concept is what we are accepting as real – or giving our reality (awareness as attention and intention) to. Such as then to become a frame or lens through which to eventuate our world in terms of threat or risk, and thus also in terms of boosting defences or powers against threat or risk.
The fragmented and conflicted mind – and thus world – is always or necessarily a partial expression of an underlying indivisibility. And as such—a realm of separate and conflicting bodies, objects and forces. But the concept or war or domination has no basis in reality, but can be interpreted from polarised identifications or judgements running as vested self-‘reality’.
What cannot BE questioned – cannot be said or directly perceived and yet we are beholding reality as acceptance of being – but as soon as we give form or shape of meaning to being – we are giving and thus receiving a measure. With rule and compass we can and do make a world, but without love we make in vain.
Becoming phished by structure is the nature of a world for getting.
By ‘getting’ external gratifications we generate conditional or special love – and thus pain of loss when conditions change – which seeks mitigation of a sense of lack of worth or ‘wrongness of a self rejected, denied or abandoned’—by projecting it to an external Adversary, Accuser or Deceiver.
Looking within the moment at hand is NOT ‘thinking some more’.
But it is the only point of a true self-honesty and thus self-responsibility in terms of choice as an expression of freedom of being – rather than ‘choices’ pre-framed by a-tempt to limit freedom to a body and world of conditionally framed permissions, for only the right conditions permit your love to extend and then only while such conditions are being met.
The ‘ego’ as a constant surveillance and enforcement of limits to love is not hard to observe – but without willingness to look, remains active in ‘dark mode’ while we take the roller-coaster ride of a script we don’t recognise our own part in.

The power of decision can be given over to others or to conditions – as surrogates for power – but indigenous power remains with you, and you can revoke or change your mind as to what is in truth meaningful or useful to you now.
The belief that we can separate or are separate from Source is given power as a means for private creation – which attracts guilt for disrupting communication, and masks its creations against retribution. Yet expects retribution (losing the self that we ‘stole’) because at some level we know we haven’t and cannot leave the Mind of God.
I think a false or mistaken inheritance runs like the Prodigal Son – regardless the respective drama, it bottoms out to a wretched and hollow misery, the ‘memory’ the Father was covered over – never truly lost. But guilt framed love lost to attack (as means to power), so the remembering has to align in true service – not as a claim of birthright.
This alignment to willingness instead of wilfulness – is the ‘Father’s rushing in’ – the rising awareness of inherence in being in place of ‘falling for’ a sense of self-specialness (judging over others and world).
Story driven identity can seem powerful or powerless, as the script unfolds. the power to look at the script and choose not to use it, opens potentials otherwise closed.
If we are fully engaged in our story – we don’t welcome interference. Truth’s messengers are thus denied or killed such that the Show goes on.
We cant honestly seek truth while asserting stories are true. But we can ‘Seek truth’ or ‘War on lies’ as a story by which to steal from both and lose the ability to tell one from the other.
The moment at hand and the evils of the day thereof are what we are meeting, sharing, teaching and learning. But do we ‘misperceive’ all things through a glass darkly?

Russia unveiled a series of new strategic weapons systems in 2018, with the arms, including the Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle, the Kinzhal aero-ballistic air-to-surface missile, the Sarmat ICBM, and the Poseidon nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed autonomous torpedo, designed to assure that even if Washington did successfully build a missile shield, Russia would still be able to retaliate to hypothetical US aggression.

They said something about a fake Alien invasion but decided they weren’t quite ready for that.
