Enter the Dnipropetrovsk Republic of Kolomoiskiy?

Dan Peleschuk, correspondent for Global Post, tweets

You know it’s bad when a separatist leader recommends a name for a separatist state

The story, from Russia Today in Russian:

The head of the People’s Republic of Donetsk, Alexander Zakharchenko, suggested that oligarch and governor Igor Kolomoisky create the Dnipropetrovsk Republic of Kolomoiskiy or DRK. According to Zakharchenko, Kolomoysky actually is already the owner of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

“In general, I suggest to Kolomoisky, the Dnipropetrovsk Republic of Kolomoiskiy – DRK. This will be fair. And why not? The DPR [Donetsk People’s Republic] exists. DRK – a good republic. Kolomoysky is the de facto owner of the territory, is the real power, and Kiev has to agree with him” – said Zakharchenko as quoted by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Kolomoysky said he believes the governments LPR [Luhansk People’s Republic] and DPR of Igor Plotnitsky and Alexander Zakharchenko, no matter how they are liked or treated by Kiev, are the real power. In response, DPR’s envoy Dennis Pushilin said that this statement was a blow to the credibility of Poroshenko.

Government of DNR proposed to Igor Kolomoisky that he creates the Dnipropetrovsk Republic

DRK in Russian has the same abbreviation as the Congo Democratic Republic. Could Mr. Zakharchenko be that subtle?
