VIDEO: Psaki – Yanukovych left Ukraine, lost legitimacy; Hadi left Yemen, remains legitimate

The double standards of the US State Department knows no bounds… Jen is psaking again about the legitimacy and illegitimacy of various heads of state. Difficult for anyone to take this dysfunctional foreign policy at all seriously anymore….USA is supporting the bombing of Yemen by Saudis “because there was an illegal coup against elected president..” But in Syria USA supports, trains and equips bearded jihadi terrorists which want to overthrown democratically elected president Assad.

Actually, this Hadi, who had been elected in a mock election without another candidate, assumed office more than 3 years ago with a 2-year mandate, which he had extended for a year… then in this year´s January abdicated, then revoked his abdication, fled the country to Saudi Arabia, and with his mandate having legally expired in the meantime, called for a Saudi Arabian-led invasion to his own country.

So, this is like Yanukovych asking the Russians to help him restore his legitimate leadership of Ukraine.

Unbelievable how rude and patronising she is – especially when her interlocutors are so much better informed than she is.
For one thing, she could do with reading Article 111 of Ukraine’s own constitution, which makes clear the impeachment of Yanukovich was itself unconstitutional. For another, she might look at a map and see that (for now) Kharkiv is still part of Ukraine, so Yanukovich had NOT actually left the country when the coup took place. Never mind her hypocrisy about Yemen, she can’t even get her facts right on Ukraine.
