Two “opposition” journalists murdered in Ukraine
Ukrainian police at the Oles Buzyna crime scene in Kiev today.
In Kiev, near his home in the Degtyarevskaya street, was killed the journalist and writer Oles Buzyna, author of books and publications exposing official Ukrainian historical mythology. Oles Buzyna consistently advocated for the federalization of Ukraine, the equal status of Russian and Ukrainian languages and has positioned himself as an opponent of the “orange revolution”.
The MIA [Interior Ministry] reported about the daring execution of the writer and journalist: “Today at 13.20, in Kiev, on Degtyarevskaya street, two masked men shot and killed journalist Oles Buzyna. The investigating police task force is working at the scene under the leadership of Acting Interior Minister Vasyl Pascali “— said the official website of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine.
According to witnesses of the tragedy, one of two unidentified men riding a car shot Buzyna with a firearm. At the crime scene are now working police officers and doctors. According to local media, the city announced an “Interception” plan, but the criminal case has not been opened yet. It is also known Buzyna was shot four times, one shot having been made to the head.
