Why would they bomb their own? There must be 1000s of foreign, (US, UK, EU etc). embedded specialists running a machine as large and sophisticated as IS. There would be the needed experts in logistics, weaponry, military training, communications, maintenance etc. Dimwits on 100$-350$ a month from Sudan and Chechnya doing can’t hack that! 1 hour notice from Bad Vlad wasn’t enough notice to remove the experts. That would have taken 500 choppers… giving away the game, and in any case.. the whole Caliphate project would have immediately collapsed.
In Debaltsevo they negotiated the West’s mercenaries’ exit. Here.. no such luck.
