Sources close to Al-Masdar News have revealed an upcoming meeting between the Syrian Government and the armed opposition inside the provincial capital of the Homs Governorate that is geared to discuss the final political settlement for the city.
According to a private source in the provincial capital of Homs, the Governor of Homs – Talal Al-Barazi – will meet with the leaders of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and their associates from the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” on Tuesday, December 1st, in order to finalize a political deal to secure the exit of the aforementioned Islamist groups from the Al-Wa’er District.
The time and place of this meeting taking place tomorrow could not be confirmed; however, the source added that the Syrian Government’s reconciliation committees have worked vigorously to implement a permanent ceasefire agreement in order to end the hostilities in the Al-Wa’er District, so that the displaced civilians can return to their homes.
If the negotiations are successful tomorrow, the Syrian Armed Forces will be officially in full control of Homs City; this will also mean the end of the armed rebellion inside the provincial capital for the Syrian Opposition.
Despite the disapproval of several Islamist groups, the fighters from Free Syrian Army that entrenched inside the Al-Wa’er District are asking to be transported from Homs City to the Al-Rastan Plains; this proposition will likely be accepted by the Syrian Government.

The Ahrar al-Sham “moderate” rebel group that belongs to the “Islamic Front” conglomerate of “moderate” Islamist brigades, which is mainly supported – both financially and militarily – by Saudi Arabia, came out today in support of the “Islamic State” (aka ISIL or ISIS) and al-Qaeda’s Jabhat al-Nusra terror groups against the US-led coalition. Protestors can be seen in Houla (Homs province) carrying ISIL flags and shouting slogans against the establishment of a secular state.

A deal has been reached for the evacuation of Syrian opposition fighters from the last district under their control in the central city of Homs, the provincial governor told AFP Tuesday.
