I assume the lack of comments is simply because Europeans haven’t yet entered into a free-trade pact of any significance. What the video says is quite true about “dispute resolutions”. Amazingly enough, the US has never lost a case, I wonder why …

Our Canadian free trade minister, oops, Trade Minister Chrytitia Freeland is an odd duck. While having written screeds on the wage inequality gap and so on, blah, blah, blah, and also acknowledging that those ISDS things have been a bit inconvenient but not to worry the CETA ISDS panel will be just wonderful, she seems on the face of it a progressive. That is how Trudeau’s government styles itself – progressive.
However, due to maternal bonds Freeland is a proud supporter of the neo-Nazi Ukrainian regime, and has bought a flat on the Maidan in Kiev. And she thinks Benny the Gorf Netanyahoo’s policies are wonderful and Israel can do no wrong.
Perhaps if one of you lot can drag yourselves out of a life of infinite UK/Euro navel-examination and read the Wikipedia entry on Freeland you can figure her out. I cannot. Along with our entire House of Commons, bar the social democrats objecting only to wording, the anti-BDS rationale motion was passed as if the current government of Israel is beyond criticism. I read Al Haaretz newspaper online and they’re far less joyful about Benny’s agenda than our MPs are.
I dunno, Freeland must read the Grauniad with relish. It’s right down her alley.
Which also reminds me that Netanyahoo climbed up the Golan Heights today and proclaimed it forever Israel. What he neglected to mention is that Genie Energy, a Division of Dick Chaney Inc., has exploratory fracking rights on the Golan Heights granted by Israel, and there is 50 billion barrels of oil there.

Freeland used to write for The Graun, as I recall.

To make a long story short, she and Trudeau strike me a fake, pro-Empire leftists … just like the Democrats in the US, Parti Socialiste in France, et al.

There’s no left left in the Liberal Party today. Some decent left-liberal individual MPs, but they’re hardly a reflection of the party as a whole. And the current Trudeau is a male “feminist” who sells WMD to the Sunni supremacist kingdom that’s just conceded women are mammals, after all….
