You Know “We’ll Never Know,” Don’t You? Review of Adam Curtis’s six-part documentary ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’

Edward Curtin

In his new, six-part, seven hours plus documentary – “Can’t Get You Out of My Head: An Emotional History of the Modern World” – the celebrated English documentary filmmaker, Adam Curtis, who has worked for the BBC for decades, tells us that nothing makes sense anymore and it is…

pointless to try to understand the meaning of why things happen.

A profound shift in our understanding has occurred, he tells us early on, and he then proceeds to replicate this fragmented, unknowing modern mind by showing us an endless stream of video images from the BBC archives that jump from one seemingly disconnected subject to another to reinforce his point.

As the reviewer Lucy Mangan of The Guardian approvingly writes, the film is “a dazzling, overwhelming experience.”  This is true, but not in the way she thinks with her five-star rating. The film does dazzle, and fascinate, but in the sense of bewildering or casting a spell.

But to what end? For Curtis maintains that there is no meaning anywhere (not even in a review); we are all living as if we are on “an acid trip”;  and we will never know what the hell is going on in the world because…well, because there is no logic to anything and our brains are scrambled with fragmented memories, fleeting images, and paranoid thoughts just like the movie Curtis narrates in his unemotional, matter-of-fact voice. He doesn’t have to say that he’s cool and everyone else is nuts. The style is the man when the authoritative voice calmly speaks above the din. Quite BBCish.

“Everything is relative,” is the underlying message, except that Curtis fails to spell out the contradiction in this post-modern meme: Everything is relative but the statement that everything is relative.  It is absolute. Some people know and others don’t.  Next video clip please.

After watching his pastiche film that is filled with his compulsively fragmented skepticism about “a world where anything could be anything because there was no meaning anywhere,” I was reminded of what a famous philosopher once wrote in his “Critique of Pure Dread”:

In formulating any philosophy, the first consideration must always be: What can we know?  That is, what can we be sure we know, or sure that we know we knew it, if indeed it is at all knowable.  Or have we simply forgotten it and are too embarrassed to say anything?  Descartes hinted at the problem when he wrote, ‘My mind can never know my body, although it has become quite friendly with my legs.’  By ‘knowable,’ incidentally, I do not mean that which can be known by perception of the senses, or that which can be grasped by the mind, but more that which can be said to be Known or to possess a Knownness or Knowability, or at least something you can mention to a friend.

Like Curtis’s title, I have never been able to get those profound words out of my head because they have always seemed in their own way to have captured the underlying zeitgeist of the past half-century and more – the unspoken message that has come to inform the neurotic skepticism of our times. And unlike Curtis’s  solemnity, at least Woody Allen makes me laugh.

Curtis is a serious man, and when he very seriously tells us in Part 1 that Jim Garrison, the New Orleans district attorney, who was the only person to ever bring a trial in the assassination of President John Kennedy, was a man devoid of logic who once wrote a memo to his staff urging them to think illogically and just look for patterns based on “time and propinquity,” he wishes us to consider Garrison a crazy conspiratorial thinker who saw strange patterns when there were none; to see Garrison as a deranged man who used a pastiche method of cutting and pasting disparate unconnected facts to form a conspiracy theory to convince you that there were hidden forces operating behind the façade of American society.

Echoing the CIA’s famous memo to its agents and accomplices in the media to use the phrase conspiracy theory/theorist to ridicule its critics, Curtis so solemnly tells the viewer that such crazy conspiracy theories and the method for arriving at them and their claims that there were hidden forces operating behind the scenes are paranoid nonsense and that they would come to infect the modern mind.  Most of Garrison’s thinking, he says, was pure fantasy and he could produce no evidence for his claims.  In other words, Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy, not the CIA.

This claim is factually false, but it becomes the basis for the next five parts of the documentary.  And perversely, the entire documentary is constructed using the same method of cutting-and-pasting, “time and propinquity,” pastiche/collage so beloved of postmodernists, that Curtis accuses Garrison of using, a method devoid of logic or meaning.

This is not a Woody Allen joke.

There is no doubt that Curtis has found and presents very interesting historical film footage that ranges back and forth across the world and time.  He knows how to engage an audience and to draw them into emotive and dreamy experiences of fear and paranoia. As one watches, one feels the walls closing in and terrible disasters lurking in the shadows because no one is in control, for control is an illusion. You’ll never know.  You’ll never know. Everything is relative.

Yet there is much to learn and consider from his footage.  But context is all, and the hours one spends watching lead to part six when Curtis circles back to part one to tie the knot on his “emotional history” within what the writer George Trow once called “the context of no context.”  We learn about chaos and complexity theories, artificial intelligence, multiple selves, drugs, how neuroscientists and psychiatrists have claimed that consciousness does not exist, and that even though people think they are individuals in the age of individualism, they are deluded.  In the digital age people are now doing exactly what Garrison did fifty years ago; now they are creating conspiracy theories from patterns of data on the internet and it’s all a form of madness.

Thrown in as an aside, Curtis says of the attacks of September 11, 2001, that “no one had seen them coming.”  This, of course, is blatantly false, since the U.S. government was not surprised, as is very well known and confirmed, but Curtis’s claim reinforces the idea no one knew or knows what’s going to happen, that incompetence is the norm, that “nothing makes sense anymore,” and that the official narrative on 9/11 is correct, just as it is regarding the assassination of JFK, for Jim Garrison, the man who bravely and brilliantly explored the case early on, was just a nut case who believed in strange coincidences. And his crazy way of connecting the dots has infected our world today.  We can’t get him out of our heads.

When he finally brings us into the present, Curtis tells us that COVID-19 “was a force that came from completely outside the systems of power.”  Of course!  Despite abundant evidence to the contrary, we are living in a world where the ruling elites are at the mercy of chance and we think they are in control.  No, that is our illusion.  Shit happens. After spending hours showing us how the world’s elites are corrupt and do all kinds of devious things to maintain their power – conspire to do so – we are also told there are no conspiracies.  There are and there aren’t.  We are trapped in an insane world of double-binds, “a world where anything could be anything because there was no meaning anywhere.”

I suppose this might apply to this film.  But no, it is very meaningful – in the way exquisite propaganda is.

Woody Allen can be hilarious, but Curtis is quite funny himself.  After seven plus hours of telling us we live in the world of nightmares where we are trapped and this sense of imprisonment is something we can’t get out of our heads and we’re all going bonkers, he ends by repeating his opening caption, which are the words of the anthropologist David Graeber:

The ultimate hidden truth of the world is that it is something we make.  And could just as easily make differently.

Really?  I never knew that.  Did you?

It seems to me that all of his films begin with “what if…?
It follows that they should thus all end with “but what if it wasn’t?”

Therefore his films could continue forever, sketching out each potential alternative scenario as if trying to describe an unlimited number of parallel universes.

Ultimately Mr Curtis is a hypnotist who makes use of the BBC news archive rather than rotating spirals, pendulums and dim lighting.

Glad you didn’t take the bait Edward Curtin.
I watched part 1.
I never actually gave up smoking. I simply have never chosen to smoke the next one.
I stopped taking it into my head decades ago.

Adam Curtis: Let me get into your head to weave stories that connect various threads to re-contextualise a realm of weighted meanings that reveal only to conceal.

The ultimate hidden truth of the world is that it is something we make. And could just as easily make differently.

We make stories and be-live them. But what we make is then symbol or idol for it neither recognises, shares or returns the love we assign it, to reinforce our reflected image and thought.

The self we mistake is a mask over conflict covering meanings, that dissociates or distances, to then defend against the light that would reveal a lack of substance or foundation in truth – but an identity taken from denial.
To make lies and believe them is a freedom to limit, conflict, deplete, degrade and suffer pain of loss. All within the illusion of a mutually agreed narrative self-justification.

Without a deceiver in our ear, whispering lies to its phished identity, or SHOUTING to pull back from opening any real intimacy of being, we would surely meet a different world and recognise truth through the extension of honesty and trust in an integrity of being, instead of asserting and protecting a mask of virtue under perceived and believed threat and grievance.

A world in which a personal sense of ‘lack-driven getting’ is released to a true appreciation of giving and receiving. Thank you! But such is the Gift of the Spirit that aligns all things true, given due acknowledgement.
But conflicts of mind and world are set against its own dissociated and projected denials, that then act out through those who know not what they do. Because their mind is blocking their own receiving.

The ultimate or obvious truth of the world is that it is something we choose to accept, to value and to share in. And on recognising a poor or mistaken choice can just as easily choose differently.

There are but two choices of which only one is real.
Truth or illusion?
Peace of integrity of being?
Or as conflict seeking vindication and vengeance in a worship of grievance as hatred given power, masking as virtue as its necessity.
Without the fig-leaves a transparency to the horror of such a revealing holds a terror that death calls to save us from.
Yet truth never went anywhere ELSE while a mind of projected fear, set in the very persistence of what it took to be ‘power’ because by it was power lost. And so is fear, limiting by division set to protect or solve and remedy a problem it multiplies by the attempt.

There is no need to get or force anything ‘out of our head’!
The intensity that we set against a hate will generate an opposite reaction as shifting forms of ever further fragmented Self-alienation. A spiritual evolution is infinitely more than the cat and mouse driven development of attack and defence – from which infinity is excluded.

There is a Call to reconnect, to still our own ‘thinking’, and LET the felt qualities of being rise to awareness. Revealing our self and world as an appreciation that extends out. So as to live from and as presence rather than under masking dictate.

If we want freedom to live in peace, we need grow a discernment of habits of perception and reaction that have been revealed fruitless or futile self-indulgences, so as to establish a conscious disregard to otherwise ‘letting them run in our name’.

Growing a new pattern is not a battle of will set against demonising yourself or others in the old. A future that extends a true presence is not a carrot on a stick, nor driven by attempts to evade being struck down.

You never have, can or shall create yourself, but as a man thinks in his heart, so is his experience of self and world. It is a local copy of ‘augmented reality’. The ego cannot edit truth, but is the belief you can and HAVE done so.

“Now your for it! Just wait ’til your father gets home!”.

Taking our self lightly may allow a way to recognise a pattern. Errors are mistakes that can be corrected once recognised and released, but ‘sin’ is the conviction of irrevocable guilt. Sin ‘makes’ a world of war, struggle, sickness, suffering and death. Not merely death as a releasing of this life in this world, but a living death – as a new normal from which there’s no going back!

And here we are again. There is a pattern running.

Self-illusion given priority and ‘protected against truth by attacking and undermining truth,
under conviction guilt gives power to leverage and limit and distance so as to ‘save’ from exposure.

Yet for all its self-reinforcing vicious cycle, sin is a choice and is as easily changed for a better choice, once the glamour or appeal of the illusion has lost its capacity to induce our support for love’s substitution by control, with our compliance and consent.

If anyone believes I have deprived myself by leaving parts 2-6 unwatched – reply with what you appreciated receiving as a result.

It was before the age of 18 that Ayn Rand’s The Fountianhead got me thinking about what is the truth and how to go about determining it. Her answer to that question was to use reason and only reason to determine the truth.
Even still I was in the dark for many years as to what was really happening in the world. Mainly because I trusted the MSM to provide all the facts. How naive.

Having watched the documentary, I can’t help thinking that Curtis has jumped the shark here.

The last thing the world needs at the moment is a propaganda piece disguised as a conspiracy film version of soft porn.

We are being softened up for what is to come and this is just another part of that puzzle.

Most people will never now because their brains are occupied with football or Strictly Come Dancing etc. Others don’t have to spend much time thinking before they understand not all but quite a lot. I’ve tried the latter approach, it works.

I watched the first part and could go no further – what an utter mind-fuck.

The only discernible message I was able to glean from what I did see, was something like “conspiracies don’t actually happen, and people only believe that they exist because of a grand conspiracy to discredit conspiracy theories by actively promoting absurd and false conspiracy theories, which didn’t really exist until they were fabricated by the people who were trying to stop them – therefore nothing”.

And as you correctly point out – all put across in that parental, matter of fact BBC tone of voice which Curtis is so famous for.

It actually reminded me of that Time Magazine article on the 2020 election where they admitted that the election was rigged while simultaneously saying that Trump’s accusations of a rigged election were absolutely false. I.e. they only rigged it because he said they were going to rig it, therefore it wasn’t really rigging and the accusation is entirely unsubstantiated.

We are seeing more and more of this these days – media and news articles which infer or directly affirm (after having melted your brain with doublespeak and contradictions) that there is no longer any such thing as objective truth, or that if there is, it can never be known. In the information age this is unfortunately true to a large degree, but when large media organisations start actively discouraging the pursuit of objective truth, we know we are in serious trouble.

There is so much more I could say about this, but what’s obvious and what matters is that stuff like this is designed to confuse and demoralise.

Thank you. I liked his films up until “Bitter Lake”. The thing is that Curtis is good at finding interesting clips, he is good at cultural history, good at finding strange characters, editing it all together. But he is not so good at politics, and I feel his films have become more and more political, or it it just that the times have changed? I find this interesting, as I had the same relationship to Zizek. I used to think he was great, but then one day I saw that he really said nothing of value. I think both Curtis and Zizek seem a bit smarter than they are, they make you feel like you are missing out something, but you understand enough to see that they are really intelligent men.

“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. “People like you are still living in what we call the reality-based community. You believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality. That’s not the way the world really works anymore. We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you are studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. European drugs regulator calls emergency vaccine summit after EU states press pause on AstraZeneca jab rollout“
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is to hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to consider its next move after several EU nations suspended their rollouts of the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
The regulator said Monday it was reviewing data on reports of blood-clotting incidents potentially related to the AstraZeneca jab. Authorities have reported one death each in Denmark and Austria related to blood-clotting in people who had received injections from one batch of a million AstraZeneca doses distributed across 17 European nations.
In Italy, prosecutors in the north of the country have opened a manslaughter investigation after the death of a man over the weekend who reportedly passed away hours after receiving a dose of the vaccine.“

In the early 2000’s in the US Curtis’s work was impossible to obtain and a cult objective. His explorations of propaganda were revelation and exposure of hidden knowledge regarding the systemic powers of the elite to hide truth and manipulate perception. The Wikipedia list of his work, which is mostly unknown here, makes me believe this latest work is a pastiche of the modern-artists-of-propaganda that he has spent his life examining. The pinnacle of modern propaganda is the postmoderninsm he himself uses here to propagandized everything as confusion, Postmodernism is a philosophy that says that everything is relative, that right or wrong, is wrong, and that there are only opinions. This documentary is a mirror of this postmodern thinking, a mirror of a viral intellectual LOCKDOWN of humanity from “doing the right thing”. It’s a sorry state that he thinks he needs to torture viewers for seven hours to make the opposite point for 10 seconds at the end, care of Graeber. We’ve had enough lies. Why not explore some solutions like tax & wealth caging the rich from the power to propagandize our lives into a perpetual nightmare?

Kary Mullis died in my town, Newport Beach, Ca., quite a tiny beach town when I got here as a 1st Grader in 1957. Duke Kahanamoku introduced surfing to the world at the Wedge a century ago, a few hundred yards from the house Mom built. Mullis surfed here at the Pier where we still hang, where I did my first busking as a singer in 2015. I had my first job across the street at the Crab Cooker, 1970, has its own wikipedia entry, eponymously. The owner Bob Rubian just died, 90s, he built it in the 1940s after the War. I washed dishes there, 17, but in the dark my first night on the job after closing I sat down at the house piano, waiting for my ride home, and ventured some simple Bach, I hadn’t studied long. Rubian had slipped in thru the back door to pick up the loot. I didn’t know that he worshipped pianos, this one his. He came up in the dark and asked if I worked there, I thought I was going to get scolded, or maybe fired, playing uninvited. I told him it was my first night, meekly. He told me instead he wanted me to come out on my breaks the next night and play, he’d have the mic on. I got more money in tips in ten minutes than I made in 3 hours washing fish pots. My 1st public concert. I heard all the seams in my play, but others didn’t. Next year he was highlighted in a column in Playboy with a cartoon of a lobster dangling by a claw from Nixon’s nose because he blew off the President’s party when they called ahead to make reservations and he told them that everyone waited in line, stretching around the block on many nights. No exceptions. It was the height of the Vietnam war and the cartoon got reprinted around the world, anti-American sentiment running high like, uh, now. They are just finishing complete renovations, 1st time since the first years of televisions, now before the summer crowds come (hopefully! Ugh), boarded off for last 3 years after the old man died, but I drive by every day and I just got a deep nostalgic throb last week to see they have uncovered and repainted the upper façade deep red, the 1st floor still behind construction covers, but the front just as it was at its debut late 1940s, with white bulbous cartoon lettering, “Eat Lotsa Fish”. Identical to its 1970 look. Hilarious. Kary Mullis was a regular on these corners, though I never knew him, I recognize his face. I only found out who he was, a rather astonishing surf rat and genius, with the pieces about PCR here.

A lot of people, like him, renegades like Jim Marrs (“Rise of the 4th Reich” and “Crossfire” which was one of two books Stone used for “JFK”) have died in the last few years. Seems like the Grim Reaper is discriminating, highly selective.

But then, I like to say that all deaths are suspicious.

Does that make me just another humble Conspiracy Realist?

ALL deaths are suspicious.

Ha Ha you kill, very funny, and great point. I would have thought of exactly that, if we had switched sides in this speculum mirabile, or just dialectical shoes. What size are yours? I don’t like too tight a fit.

But they are multiplying mirrors. That’s the key problem. It is like too many cycles in the PCR test. Mullis would have told them to stop that.

You ever notice that Mark Twain also means, “See, there are 2 of me”?

That is something a spy would do, as a cover, etc. He was an original or very early member of Society for Psychical Research in London and then attached himself to Nick Tesla as his best bro’.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is currently suspended in 20 countries, not 7. However in the Undemocratic Republic of Fraudian they’ve been trumpeting all day there’s “no proof” that it’s unsafe.

Anyway it’s a lesser issue than the safety of all these vaccines and the dangers of long-term auto-immune reactions (and may well be designed as a distraction from such).

Curtis is a loathsome piece of work.
He poses as anti-establishment but is quite the opposite. He is part of the establishment’s attack on society and on the inner selves of every decent human being who would try to improve our collective situation.
I once tried to confront him. It was at a public meeting in Central London about rising charges against government made by 9/11 Truthers. I was one-such of many present at the meeting. David Aaronovitch was standing at the back, scribbling furiously. Curtis was part of the “panel” on the raised stage in the room (of course).
I remember my question.
“You expose the wickedness and lies of our rulers. You cast every aspersion against them almost to the point of calling them “evil”. How can you sincerely have this attitude and at the same RULE OUT the possibility that 9/11 was, as many of assert, an ‘inside job?”
Curtis struggled for words.Another panel member jumped in and answered for him. The question was never answered.
The man’s a construct himself. Smooth-talking, charming and well-furnished on the outside. Rats, toilet cleaner, dead mens’ bones and scented shyte on the inside.

The following is kind of like a description of me when I was a young teenager over 50 years ago. I found it completely hilarious. I guess I have always been a bit weird, but am glad I’m not a child now. If you have any spark of intelligence,or being different, they will do everything they can to “normalise” you, including putting you on ritalin at the age of 5.

https://www.sott.net/article/449630-You-re-not-trans-You-re-just-weird

Extract:

“You’re right. There is something different about you.

But you’re not trans, you’re just weird.

So we’re right here for you. We’ll always be here for you. But those online folks who urge you to “crack your trans egg” and rush to hormones and surgeries don’t know you at all. They don’t know that gifted kids and ADHD kids and Autism kids and Asperger’s kids are slower to develop emotionally and sexually. They don’t know that sexuality takes time and experience to figure out, and that the majority of trans teens seeking medical treatment haven’t even masturbated or kissed someone yet. They don’t know that 80% of trans children end up becoming comfortable with their birth sex if you just give them time. They don’t know that there are increasing numbers of desisting and de-transitioning people in their twenties. They don’t realize that hormones permanently stunt your growth, decrease your IQ, and can cause sterility. They don’t know that these hormones are prescribed off-label and there’s no research on the long-term outcomes. They don’t even know that the most recent research shows that short-term outcomes are clearly worse.

They don’t realize that you’re weird. But I do. You’re weird, kiddo. You’ll figure that out in a year or two. But that’s okay. We are all weird. And I love you anyway. You’re going to be just fine. “

One for the “who could possibly have foreseen?… ” files:

According to a survey (of 33,000 places!) by LDC and PWC the UK has seen 9,877 chain-store closures since the imposition of lockdown (or, as of course they put it, since the start of the pandemic). More closures are imminent (for example from John Lewis – possibly the one thing that might make the English bourgeoisie revolutionary is losing their John Lewis).

These figures don’t include independent shops whose closures hardly seem worth reporting (I was going to write “counting” but I’m sure someone’s counting them – and celebrating)

Even as he dances to the tune of the elite managers of human behavior, the modern man scoffs with a great derision at the idea of the existence and operation of a technology of mass mind control emanating from media and government. Modern man is much too smart to believe anything as superstitious as that! Modern man is the ideal hypnotic subject: puffed up on the idea that he is the crown of creation, he vehemently denies the power of the hypnotist’s control over him as his head bobs up and down on a string.

Thanks to Occasional Lurker below for putting me in touch with this link which I have yet to read entirely:

https://architectsforsocialhousing.co.uk/2021/02/19/cui-bono-the-covid-19-conspiracy/

But I had to post this bit. After a sobering – and indeed terrifying – account of how the human psyche itself is being transformed under the new “biosecurity state”, there is an example of such transformation via thoroughly synthetic football match “theatres” followed by this:

“This, I think, tells us something about the revolution we’re going through: that our knowledge and experience of the world is being deliberately and systematically restricted to the increasing numbers of screens on which we increasingly rely to gain access to the world and each other, and that the companies that control that access will dictate exactly what we know and experience and therefore largely how we think and act. From this perspective, the transparent lies, broken promises and overt corruption on which the biosecurity state is being constructed are less a product of the Government’s inability to produce more credible foundations than a testing ground for what the population will believe even when what they are being told contradicts not only the evidence of their own eyes but everything they have known about the world up till now. To do so, though, it must first remove our access to the competing market of collectively experience reality — in pubs, parks, shops, restaurants, gyms, sports, football stadiums, cinemas, museums, concerts, the houses of friends, access to the country, travel — whose inconvenient eruption into the lives of even the most online subjects of the biosecurity state threatens the media’s control over our thoughts, our behaviour, our spending, our politics. This is what Schwab and other promoters of the Fourth Industrial Revolution mean by the ‘Great Reset’, which is open about capitalising on this manufactured crisis not only to revolutionise the political, legal and social forms of a capitalist world that must change and develop in order to survive, but also to change the people in it.”

Adam Curtis is wrong to say people believe nothing. The problem is they’ll believe anything if sufficiently manipulated, which is Mr Curtis’ job.

Lionel, of Lionel Nation, shows with his trademark humorous touch, how the U.S. population has been primed to believe anything. This is no mere dumbing down, however. It is an experiment to see how much people will tolerate: will they spin on a dime when the rules change, will they stay inside when ordered, will they become fearful on command, will they inject — anything — on the promise of freedom and then give up that hope immediately, without complaint, when we say you’ve still got to wear: one mask, two masks, three masks?

A mind war on this scale is not undertaken purely for commercial profit. A population is not defeated by no-one for no purpose. They are the target in a war and still they doubt there is any objective or any aggressor.

The trick is:

To make populations THINK that they are smart, whilst simultaneously dumbing them down.

It works even better if you can make them think that they’re smarter than those folks over there, “whilst simultaneously dumbing them down.”

Something I’ve always wondered about sheeple is how can they not see or care when they’re being propagandized and manipulated by MSM news, shows and movies?

I’ve always found it insulting, especially when I just want to be entertained.

One conclusion I’ve drawn is that the reason it doesn’t bother them is because they agree with it on some level whether it be imperialism, racism, demonization, negativity, popping pills for the slightest ailments etc.

That’s a tiny part of it. The main agenda is to destroy the livelihoods of people so that forced UBI with a global digital currency can be administered and thus requires the relinquishing of all property and assets by those receiving the universal basic income. Without private property, assets, physical cash, or ownership of possessions, total slavery is achieved as is legal extermination of populations or individuals who do not comply.

They ARE transnational.

BUT: for decades, more, they have been building their big bux bunkers on Wall Street, as the last bastion of Monopolism, or predatory cowboy capitalism. Since Sir Francis Drake and Monsieur Jean Lafitte sailed our shorelines, the supervillain pirates and uber-bucanneers have all gravitated here. I’ve noted here before, so stop me if you’ve heard this, but I went 5 hell-bindable years to a prep school in North Hollywood, Harvard School (a total Army HOTbed for future Intel, as I figured out years later) where we wrote our names on index cards, stuck them in a little card holder affixed to our cozy barracks for 2, decades before us our narrow rooms were stables of a country club. Our room door said “Craig/Ervin” and the door ten feet down was “Honda/Yamaha”. At morning muster with our M1 rifles, at “Present Arms” and roll call we answered, “HERE, SIR!” and I would hear their 2 names sandwiching “Rothschild?” and several others of like ilk (like Doheny, DeYoung, Haldeman, etc.). I had no clue at all, at 12 years old, that they were any different than us, but 20 years later I got a Honda scooter, and more recently, a Yamaha digital grand piano, both items made by the respective companies of our next door boarder mates, now owners of the global brands. Both those 2 were never seen outdoors ever talking to anyone but each other. I quizzed an upperclassmen about that once, and his answer was vague and evasive, “Oh they just keep to themselves.” and of course Haldeman took the rap for POTUS, Nixon (I am reading his widow’s recent memoir, “In the Shadow of the White House” with blurbs on the jacket from Kissinger and the Rumsfelds, all of them chsrarm if smarm, smarmelade or smarmalaise). The Rothschild scion, not a boarder, needs no introduction. His mug was the only photo not in our yearbook. That pic apparently was wisely ‘recused’, though I clearly recall his face and curly hair. (It was but a few years before the neighbourhood Getty scion was kidnapped and his ear was sent by mail to J. Paul G, just to show it was seriously all about the ransom.) Now the old school has plainclothes security lurking everywhere, dressed like any teacher, or perhaps coach, except they stop you if you visit to ask you questions, like who was headmaster back in the day. One stopped me, the 2nd in 2 minutes, when I parked near the office, in 2001, to look up the Last Mohican, the only remaining teacher from my days there, I was in his first class 35 years prior, and the security honcho apologized, “No, I didn’t go here. I’m retired LAPD. My dad could only afford to send me to public school, he was only a carpenter.” I answered before he was fully punctuated, “So was God’s.” He stared for a moment, then cracked up, “Well, your folks sure didn’t waste their hard earned money sending you here.” Possibly, but I sure didn’t learn that info there, though compulsory chapel twice a day was on their overpriced menu. It was really just tattoed all over me by a carpenter’s son. But that crack passed me with flying colours, all the calling card needed. If they only knew what a renegade refugee they had let in! I recused my dissident “wrath” while there on campus, didn’t really need to burn any bridges.)

SO, I grew up around quite a few of these “transnational” frat brats, and all all all of them gravitate to DC and NYC, (many mean at heart, but notvall and not always). The Bastille to the planet, and last bastion and stand of predatory Monopolism, thence proliferating its pirate (or pirated) brands throughout our poor poor planet, clan-made wardens of our Earth Island Prison.

That meme about nothing makes sense is as far I am conserned, ¤%#¤ idiotic, and just tells me two things, either you are an ignorant or is just lying, and of course we have then 50 shades of knowledge inbetween, but to claim nothing makes sense is stupidity, plain and simple.
As one said it, just because you fight against case A, dont mean you suport case B, just that is what soaks the debates this days, like saying if I am an nationalist I am automaticly an Nazi apoligist, and some hates socialism witch is by some obscure reason is by some comparable to communism, and to then try to explain that this is not even close is to day an waist of time.

I talked just some weeks ago to our girl about Norwegian Gov and instuitutions falsifying of history, like moving the Land of the Gigants, Jotunheimen from Finmark where my family is from, for eons, down to the souther mountain ranges, and she said why is that so important, if at all, well, I tried to tell her that for you, whom dont know much about history it may seem as an not as much of an important thing, for me, I see it as an continuation of falsification of our history, they create that by ignoring the real history and thats where it colides with the present, once you accsept that, what else is then been lied about and to what extent, when I can talk about much more, much, much more but for many this issues are just not that important, its old, as they claim, and thats where the saying about controling the past and you control the future comes in.
Some people stil dont get that.

Again, take facism, why is that narrative so hated this days, with Anti-fags drooling bollocks about things they dont know jack shit about and on top of it, all thoe we may agree Anti-fags are patsies, you stil agrees on their main meme against facism, while I know you are both totaly of the marker about facism and why its been loathed as it is this days.
One of the things that falsification of realitys do, is to hide the truth, Mussolinis worst mistake was to nationalise the banker ind. complex, that, have been the problem for an lot of leaders whom put their nation first, and from then on relentelessly attacked by the MSM and the Gov/Inst. of the west and stil do, despite that there are others whom claims the opposite but the falsification have extented to such levels that people get dizzy just be reading counter agruments, thats where I am, I dont take sides, I fight for what makes sense and what I consdier to be true.
If you dont make that conection a lot of what happened and stil happens dont, of course makes any sense, like the remaining nations of with the UssA is hammering have one thing in comon, they dont have an western central bank in the leading possition, and thats why they are been under sege for decades.

Again, to me, a lot of what happens makes perfect sense, names change, their reasons are the same, to then just because of that they are somewhat compared/compatible to other historical figures as to be their main cause is again based upon what is to create demonisation or downright fasifications of their cause and that is again used as propaganda tool against anyone whom claims they fight for their own people and nation.
It makes perfect sense if you want an tool for destruction and coups/color revolutions, like Bolivia and Libya, where they where hammered by the same people for the same reasons to demonise the rulers to make an case of reasons for interventions.

I am not sure how long I have to makes this coment but I know some of you do understand, everything makes sense, nothing happens by chanse, not in the world stage.
It never do, nor have done and never will, until we remove the cancer that lives upon us as parasits, unless we cut that life suport off, we will never go anywhere as an people, that, is the ultime fact and if you understand that, everything makes perfect sense.
Its like debating the CONvid nonsense, and take scums like Bill the gates of hell, when the MSM denies what this scumbag have postulated, and said, even when there are videos of him saying this and that, the majority stil denies it.
I have another one, about mRNA, witch we have no idea of how safe it is, since we cant trust them at all, their science of course makes sense, right, but how do that work in real life, we dont know because they lie about everything and for me, we are nothing but ginea pigs.
From the source, about rewriting our genetic code.
Tal Zaks from Moderna (curiously this word, moderna is the same as modern in Swedish) 4 years old.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHB2bLILAvM
And stil we fight those that claims we dont know what we are talking about.
Dont that make perfect sense.

Those who work for the BBC are mostly Freemasons. I will not be partaking in any propaganda from any current or ex BBC employee, especially one trying to sell coincidence theory.

What’s happening is obvious: Geopolitics and politics are both scams on the world’s population using the Hegelian Dialectic to commit democide and extract wealth through debt slavery.

The more one learns about the Masonic secret societies that have ruled for hundreds of years, using methods ranging from religious wars, nation state wars, manufactured terrorism, assassinations, hoaxes, psychological operations, psychological warfare, trauma based mind control and fake pandemics, the easier it is to see the only thing that ever changes is the name of the scam or “operation”.

Mystery Babylon needs to be exposed and abolished. Prosecute the evil at the top of the pyramid: The politicians, the oligarchs, the bankers, the monarchies, the think tanks, the Rhodes network, the UN, the WHO, the WEF, the CFR, IMF, World Bank, BIS, Bilderberg Group, Rockefeller Org. Get rid of these death cult psychopaths once and for all. Free the people from the Masonic sects, usury, admiralty law and their eugenics agendas.

Except there is no virus, never was a virus. Do you know why the animals died in those experiments? They were vaccinated a second time. So when the update for ConJob19 comes next year or the year after, the second vaccination will achieve what the first vaccination could not. The main thing the governments are trying to achieve is to coerce enough people to submit to the injectable pathogens so that they can separate and divide the population and push through their unlawful measures which allow for medical kidnap, forced medical intervention, fraudulent tests, restriction of travel and movement and forced unlawful isolation and quarantine of healthy populations.

The systems and organizations themselves are the mechanisms of control. Remove the power from the systems using common law or law of the land. I’m for “refusing it all” but recognise that there isn’t a way to just pull the rug from under the feet of the system as you describe. This started with mans ego and the so called civilisation some 10 000 years ago. It won’t be just swept away with some prosecuting under common law, or any law. Is goes to deep for that. But ultimately, nature knows the remedy. Maybe after nature clean up, people, what’s left of them, can successfully organise in an anarchic and natural way and have true justice and order.

Agreed but I wonder how many convictions can be realistically expected given that so many in the justice system are said to be Freemasons.

Get rid of these death cult psychopaths once and for all.

IMO, it’s the only viable solution. Then, to prevent recurrences of such evil, a system for quickly identifying and neutralizing obvious enemies of humanity needs to be permanently installed.

As someone who’s been against the death penalty since I was a teenager, I can’t believe I’ve reached the stage where I’m wondering what, if anything, should be done about the bloodline of these anti-human devils.

Two things put me off watching this. One was the BBC – which does not allow freedom of expression, and anything close to critical of the narrative, is visually redacted. The second was seven hours. Who has seven hours to spare? But I gave it, and Adam Curtis, an opportunity to sell it to me. He, and it, failed.

In talking about the strange times we live in Curtis said.

“We, and those in power, created them together.”

I take absolutely no responsibility for the strange times we live in. It was solely the work of those in power. So don’t blame me Curtis. Those of us fighting this nonsense are not to blame for it. So get off your high horse.

It’s certainly true that not everyone helped create these “strange times.” But I will say that most people – especially in the US – have greatly helped create the times.

Most people are very very very quick to see a possible benefit to themselves – primarily material. And so they will go along with just about anything that looks like it might increase their material well-being. There is no better example of this than the Iraq illegal invasion of 2003.

Cheaper gas drove the majority to support the invasion. As Steven Colbert put it when he actually used to be somewhat cutting edge: “It’s not our fault God put our oil under their ground.”

The invasion was not supported by the general public. The biggest protests ever held in history were against the Iraq war. What is put on tv is not reality. Polls are faked. Debates are one sided. Nobody wanted the invasion except the chickenhawk types who called themselves “conservatives” and the psychopaths in charge. The rest of the country was vehemently against it. But it doesn’t matter what the people think because governments don’t care, and routinely ignore the wishes and welfare of the people.

I went in 2005 to a little local talk at a restaurant in Newport Beach (Balboa’s The Cannery) where Ray Bradbury arrived early, in a wheelchair, and gave a charming account of his long life. Maybe 30 or 40 people, schmoozing beforehand, and with hors d’oeuvres.

I was interested that he had pinned the blame for many of our modern dilemmas on the man in the street and his ascquiescence to big time crime in modern governance.

I had come to think he was showboating, since so many of his clever plots became Hollywood extravaganzas. When he came to the part where the first issues of “Playboy” had serialized “”Fahrenheit 451” and put him, and Playboy, on the map for a larger public, I was beginning to cringe, and when he exulted that “a genereration of young men thus have me to thank,” or words to that effect, I was certain that much of his pitch was showboating for sales.

Well, he’d spent years before that “break” writing for pulp fiction magazines, maybe it had blighted his outlook. Commercialized him. Commodified him. À la USA Inc. Few here escape the withering hand of Uncle S(c)am. (I was told young the “c” is silent, but found out early on it’s hard. )

Samuel Beckett, a contemporary of his, wrote, “The only sin is to be born.”

An interesting take on “original” and the doctrine of inherited (and thus shared) sin.

The greatest product of that inheritance, who I ever met, is a recovering alcoholic, 10 years passed on now, who spent his last 30 years in recovery preaching to parishes all over the country, and world (to soldiers abroad mostly) and much of his time was spent showing his crowds ways to steer clear of pitfalls, as many listening were drinkers and other kinds of addicts. That covers a broad demographic, these days!

Now, he had been born on a Mohawk reservation, and all souls around him were alcoholics by default, all that long road, trail of tears, all the way from those in recovery to those who are “fully involved structures” as firemen put it for 5 alarm blazes.

One of the truly inspiring things about his talks is that he put personal sin squarely in the laps of those listening.

His Tuesday night talks were on booze, et al., and he titled them: “Alcoholism: a Terminal and Family Disease”.

So how could an inherited disease like alcoholism be a sin?!

Well, he pointed out that *however* the problem landed in your lap, you still have to deal with it. It’s yours, baby! All yours.

It’s yours, like it or not*. He said that when his drinking, which he masked for 7 years “in the pulpit”, was in full flower, he drank a half gallon of whisky a day.

And, it took him to hell. And he said, “And when I say Hell, I mean I went DOWN!”

“And there, he added, is where I met Jesus Christ.”

All his talks were grounded in hope for that reason, since whatever is given, however heavy, is a blessing, some very disguised.

(And not much for the faint of heart.)

NOW even these days, we are born mired in the pit of global responsibility, a new manifestation, and for me, as for him as a priest, only the deepest knowledge of personal weakness can lead us to the Light.

By default!

Alcoholism (or drug addiction) is not a disease. It’s a character deficiency.

Humans damaged by other humans tend to find solace in drink and drugs, it’s not a deficiency of their own making.
And the Curtis doc was a six hour attack on the truth community, nothing less than a Tavistock psyop against those not brainwashed by them.

Replicate that BS StierScheisse all you want, you are deeply deeply mistaken. Science has proven this, real repeatable science. For you to flatly state otherwise is also more than a little smug, and I pray your Maker calls you out on it, if you continue. Two of the most spiritual sensitive and brilliant priests I have ever known, one Dominican and Mohawk, the other Jesuit and Irish, were both recovering alcoholics. They were both of the most sterling character, even whilst DRUNK! Drug, or sex addiction, etc., are a little different, but most of it is deeply connected to biology, not always just heredity, and not always just. Just what it is. The whole point is that such are not an excuse for bad behaviour, just an explanation.

Anecdotes, all, but science has led the way. Shows you how much you know.

This is just another scam on society and individuals: Everything that happens to them is their fault. There is always personal responsibility. But if they are brainwashed and deceived from birth through families that have ruled the world for centuries through the monetary system, education system, culture, media and government to extract wealth and induce a perpetual slavery mentality within these systems, how is that their sin? The sin idea, even original sin is created to induce self loathing and distrust of self. Self loathing leads to worship of others, whether they be gods, materialism or false idolatry. It creates the power vacuum for authorities and authoritarianism to take control.

Of course. Your points are valid on all counts. Couldn’t agree more.

THAT said, my point was a bit, but decisively, different.

My point was not about the sin, but the clear logical truth that we share in a common humanity and all come into the world as “damaged goods”.

And as the Purple Sage sayeth, “Isn’t that great Good News!”

If we weren’t damaged, we would feel infinitely less need of the connection to our Maker. Perhaps that is why. After all, the Devil was made perfect, and felt no needs.

***

I had this prayer sent me by the aforesaid grand recovering alcoholic 40 years ago, nigh, and it states the case, the paradox so very very well, that I must append it. Various sources were cited online recently, included being found anonymously in a trench in 1918:

“I AM BLESSED”

“I asked for strength to achieve.
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things.
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy.
I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I asked for
But everything I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all souls most richly blessed.”

And that was sent me by the most distinguished individual I have ever been privileged to know, and recovering alcoholic at that. His problem didn’t manifest throughout an illustrious career, until his 50s…

Whose entire tribe were all alcoholics, whether in recovery or full-fledged. His eternal point was not the sin, or whatever else, but that whatever gave us the problem, and whatever the cost, we are left with it in our lap, often intractably, or seemingly, and the traction arrives ONLY when we exit the pity party and commit to change, whatever the cost. Often great.

No sincere effort ever fails, even though the applicant oneself might fail finally, since Mercy extends infinitely beyond, for all those who try.

And all the conjurers and con artists abide outside that process.

Curtis’ work is clearly psychological ops. That he is a BBC asset would be sufficient but his actual work is quite damning. (His use of ominous music reminds me of laugh tracks for sitcoms on TV. He does NOT produce “documentaries”. He produces PSYOPS.)

This actually reminds me of recent NYTimes piece telling readers not to get “lost in the rabbit hole”. “Leave it for the experts to determine the meaning”. So this is the same message from Anglo-Zionist establishment.

The fragmented self. This is the goal of the Cabal. Billions of fragmented selves running around like headless chickens and requiring input of BBC scum to “make sense of it all”.

According to Curtis the world is rife with circumstances in which either there are no explanations or the explanations can only be explained by a string of coincidences.

We are left to scratch our heads and look to the heavens for any possible actual explanation as to how the very same powerful people and the very same powerful institutions ardently consolidate and further their wealth and power using the same template year after year.

History doesn’t matter, evidence doesn’t matter and most of all critical thinking skills are of no value.

Simply grab a piece of bubble gum and see how long the flavor lasts today. From there skip to your Lou and sing tra-la-la as the wolves that just devoured your neighboring town approach the hillside.

Curtis is a dipshit.

Maxwell,

Excellent comment as usual. I agree totally with the 3 points that you mentioned. If a person has read any history…if that person looks at all the evidence of the Plandemic…. if that person does “any” critical thinking….it becomes very obvious that the “hidden hand” in all of this facade is the Transnational Capitalist Class. Most of the people that I know have obsolutely no idea who/what/where is the TCC. I am currently reading and will reread William I Robinson’s books on the TCC. Great for critical thinking. Peace.

I sometimes speculate that Snowden is CIA, and is just a way to scare the world into believing that the USA is far far more powerful than it actually is. They can listen to everything, everywhere, he claims, like they are some omnipresent god.

Faking the the moon landings was a similar operation, in that it tried to convince the world the USA was the most technologically advanced country the world,

Indeed he is CIA. I think he admits it somewhere in his background. And the US and Russia run these type of PR operations together to convince the wider populace that the US is bad and Russia is good. Or vice versa, depending on one’s perspective. It’s divide and conquer.

The main thing the controllers want the global population to believe is that their technology is more advanced than it is, and that there are oppositional nation states or blocs, the same way they have convinced people within each country to believe that Democrats and Republicans (or Tories and Labor) are oppositional, when obviously they both work together behind closed doors and always have done. This way the populations won’t rise up against their controllers because they believe there are external forces and countries that are more dire and deadly than their governmental controllers.

Why are those who run the world so invested in making hot wars and cold wars appear real when they are obviously staged? How else could they control the global populace (and national populaces) and commit various scams like extermination for profit and forced wealth extraction without these programs for militaries, pandemics, trade, currency exchange, etc?

Really, what we have is a world built on lies and scams. All of these scams and operations are kill programs. Their programs kill one’s spirit, independence, health, happiness, freedom of thought, individual rights, families and communities, when they are not physically killing people with their bombs, vaccines or drugs.

First two paragraphs, excellent, I can’t fault your logic, but I disagree with the third. I don’t believe all wars and conflicts are fake, some are not what they seem, but many are real. It is the motives behind the wars which elude us sometimes.

They are all staged. Yes people die. But that’s the purpose. Killing populations. Throughout history, these larger wars happen at the end of every currency cycle. There is a pattern that can’t be ignored. As for the smaller wars they often cover a number of agendas such as more restrictive internal laws, a change of the type of regime or political system or to move populations off land wanted for use by corporations.

He has no need to admit it, it is public record that he matriculated at CIA and then subcontracted to NSA.

I would buy into his mission to Moscow as a refugee like I buy that Oswald was also a commie defector there. Another CIA agent, Lee was sent to lay the groundwork for the downing of U2.

I’ve also half concluded that Snowden is a psy-op. It gives the lie to this quaint notion that the NSA, CIA et al are these super powerful thugs who want at all costs to keep their true nature secret.

I read an article in globalresearch.ca regarding neurotechnology and how “they” are about to control our very thoughts. I won’t detail it; but it noted that one copy of a secret scientific study just by chance got released by mistake to the public.

Really? Just by chance? Wow! Right up Adam Curtis’s alley, eh?

Probably why they arrested Charles Lieber and indicted him for tax evasion. To sell us the theory that China secretly bought or stole his amazing nanotechnology being covertly used in vaccines. This enhances the bioterrorism narrative and the China vs the US narrative. Lieber is now suing Harvard and claiming he has a terminal illness.

When stem cell research came out that was a scam that went nowhere. When T cell therapy came out that was a scam that didn’t work. When monoclonal antibodies came out that was a scam that doesn’t work. When gene therapy came out that was a scam that failed. Now it’s everything nano and it’s a scam too.

I agree yet disagree because imo they most certainly can cure cancer after 70+ years of research. It’s just that they don’t want to because the ‘industry’ would implode. The lost jobs, revenue, research grants…..I would assume that any scientist who even comes close to a cancer cure is quickly ‘dismissed’ for lack of proof.

Plenty of people know how to cure cancer. There are a number of methods. Books have been written outlining various regimens that have worked in stage four. But those who conduct research under the false paradigm of germ theory are clueless. If they don’t know the cause they can’t find a remedy. Nor could they prevent it from recurring.

The rich and famous die from cancer. The Sultan of Brunei’s son who was 38 died last year of liver cancer. If people with all the money and contacts in the world do not know how to heal themselves then why do you think researchers funded by the NIH or National Cancer Institute are privy to that knowledge? They are not. They are as clueless as Fauci. They got precisely where they are through familial and academic contacts and by aligning themselves with a death cult involved in manifesting illness for profit.

Yes, they are completely, possibly intentionally, misdirected with all the other theories you noted above (gene, chemo, stem cell, etc) Yes, people are curing cancer, with what seems like more simplified treatments, but they are not allowed to practice outright per certain authorities. MSMed Dr’s have no qualms with spewing the ‘environmental’ causes of cancer, but if you mention any type of treatment outside of their ‘standard of care’ box, they literally ignore you.

Yeah, but Ektachrome film can survive huge variations of temperature, from -221 C to plus 145 C, the film emulsion is a miracle of science. To say nothing of the ability of the film to have advanced Photoshop like shadow removal to give one a perfectly exposed image which shooting directly at high contrast shadowy conditions, just phenomenal skill and technology for that era. Also love the ability for stapled ” tar paper ” to be so effective in space on the LEM, amazing.
I also learned how to perfectly frame and focus my images using the ” belly shot” technique, wow., never use my eyes to frame and focus again.
