James intersperses his Talks with “not necessarily”, and “maybe”, and,
“perhaps”… Are these all variants of “yes, and…” ? Or is he just hedging ?

Within the context of the point he’s making, yes they are all variants. “Yes and” is the name of a well known strategy for constructively engaging in a conversation, as opposed to shutting down the conversation or becoming an argument. He suggests “maybe…” and “perhaps…” as alternatives methods for engaging in such constructive conversations without compromising your integrity.

The overall point is that you may find more success changing people’s minds if you start by affirming the possibility that their view could be right. Even if you know that they are definitely wrong, that’s not the point. This polite gesture opens them up to listening to your point of view.

Trump’s doctors have claimed the Vain Orangeman is in ‘exceptional health’.

So IQ and empathy tests count for nothing?

Firstly, empathy is not or ever has been a requirement for politicians, Doctors or CEOs. Secondly, if IQ tests were a requirement then we need to set the bar very low, otherwise there would only be a handful in US congress or UK or EU parliaments. Wait, that’s a good thing…

You don’t say what you tried or did. But have you tried via a vpn?
With vpn it took quite a long time to ‘verify’ – 30 sec to a minute.

I had no problem just now. The usual verification took about 2 seconds.

Yes, and when a tipping point of people stop believing what they’re told by the Drainstream Media, we might get some real change.

Meanwhile, the government, corporate and media spin doctors have us over a barrel. And let’s face it: how many working class and even middle class Folks use libraries theses days? You could kick a ball down most library aisles and not hit anyone.

That said, the ‘yes and’ technique is a practical one for casual conversations.
Thanks James.

Never leaving home without the black mirror is almost universal. Next: not being caught dead with an old-fashioned book or magazine.

‘Black mirror’, that’s a great analogy for those invasive, mind numbing appendages.

‘Yes butt’. It is easy to make people talk, but to let them stop you need butt.

Jeff holds the patent on bird-flu vaccine. US NIAID is paying for development of more noxious bird-flu in labs in at least 5 countries. So who is this “Jeff”? You guessed it: he’s head of US NIAID– National Institute of Allergies and INFECTIOUS diseases.

Are THEY outrageously overconfident, or are WE actually that passive?
https://jonfleetwood.substack.com/p/niaid-director-holds-patent-for-bird

Here’s a paragraph from the article: “In another recent NIAID-backed collaboration spanning the U.S., Japan, Egypt, and Austria, scientists used reverse genetics to stitch together wild H5N1 genes with a 1934 lab flu strain—creating a chimeric hybrid virus that proved 100% lethal in mammals.”

If you’re NOT a sheep maybe you should take a look at this?

PS They recently held their 3d rehearsal for release of this one, in Australia.

They’re tinkering with The Bird-Flu Virus in labs again !!
The narrative for the-next-much-more-lethal-pandemic is in the making…
The notion will spread around the globe, we’ll all believe it, fear another
‘accidental release’ or ‘lab leak’ will likely occur if The Government dont
step in, by which time millions will be dropping dead like flies – according to
corporate propaganda media…
Extreme responses are called for…
Well, the US economy is teetering, and the masses might be moved to create
History by taking to the streets protesting austerity, rationing, against being
made to bear the brunt , and so on, when the economy crashes…
Another bird-flue-virus-has-escaped claim will provide the cover story /
excuse for severe lockdowns to rein-in the masses – while more of the
Global Digital Prison is installed…
…….
Prove Me Wrong…

Diluted sarin was tested in US, and works to produce “flu-like” illness. PR can blame a virus, as it justifies the vast wealth splurged on the 1,300 domestic bio-weapons centres (at least, that was the number 2 decades ago) and 336 centres abroad. All the sick, starving and homeless imperial citizens can wave the flags (made in China), proud that “their” nation is ready not just for “defense” but for war itself.

So you don’t think they’ll actually release a more deadly virus. Sounds like a hope-from-ignorance to me. You might do a little research before concluding a mere notion.

Biological weapons are forbidden by International law, but novel medical vaccinations against possible cross gene viruses are subsidized by the Pentagon, or inverted Pentagram. The latter was necessary to counter balance the CCP/ PLA’s Satanic experiments. Homo sapiens satanicus is on its way out through internal club strife: who sacrifices whom? Ego has its use.

antonym, biological weapons ARE forbidden by law, but they are calling the gain-of-function work to make bird flu more deadly “protection” against possible biological weapons. They just call it prophylactic “study in order to be prepared.” Bird flu and mRNA vaxxes against it are specifically exempted from recent restrictions.

Yes, and sitting on your butt watching motivational videos on a flickering screen may not always lead to sustained improvements in daily life. Yes and it’s worth a try.

if you were aware of ‘Yes, and…’ 25 years ago, I’m pretty sure your words ‘may not always’ might change to ‘are unlikely to’.

‘Yes, and…’ only works with people who are capable of having a conscience. If you try using ‘Yes, and…’ with remorseless, conscience-free psychopaths, you may think that it is a phoney tool of the ‘professional coaching’ crowd…..

I’ve yet to meet a ‘Yes, and…’ person who is in a position of power which they gained through win-lose ruthlessness.

Yes, and…is for relationships which in some way resemble a loving family or a collaborative, collegial business environment.

It’s a ticket to being used and ending up utterly disillusioned if you try it in blood-on-the-walls, win-lose, winner-takes-all battlegrounds.

Yes, and if one is in an abusive relationship with government these techniques are useless. Particularly when that government has just vapourised your home with a missile. However, as you correctly describe, such techniques may be useful to create cohesion in a population that seeks to resist an abusive force like government.
