Canada’s Shame

by Mark Taliano

Canadians should be hanging their heads in shame.
Our government is guilty of the most egregious criminal acts as defined by Nuremberg Principles, and we are bona fide members of the State Sponsors of Terrorism club.
When our government bombs the sovereign state of Syria without the consent of President al-Assad and without United Nations Security Council approval, we are committing war crimes of the highest order.
When we support and fund foreign mercenary terrorists  that are invading Syria, we are state sponsors of terrorism.  There are no “moderate” terrorists.  The mercenaries are all being paid and enabled by the West and its allies, including Turkey (a NATO member),  Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan.
On all counts we are guilty.  We are war criminals and state sponsors of terrorism.
The popular refrain that “Assad must go”, echoed by Canada’s Defense Minister, Harjit Sajjan, is in itself an endorsement of criminality.   Regime change operations are criminal according to international law.
A soft power complex that disseminates lies and confusion is seemingly sufficient to make gullible western audiences accept criminality, even as the pretexts for previous illegal invasions invariably reveal themselves to be self-serving fabrications.
Hussein didn’t  have WMD, but  Western sanctions before the pre-meditated Iraq invasion willfully destroyed water treatment facilities and subsequently killed almost two million people, including about half a million children.
Gaddafi wasn’t “bombing his own people” or destroying Libya.  The West and its proxies did the killing.  The bombing in Libya – in support of al Qaeda ground troops – targeted and destroyed civilian infrastructure, including the Great Man-Made River Project.   The bombs and the foreign terrorist ground troops killed Libyans, including Gadaffi, but Western propagandists and “confusion mongers” always portray an inverted version of reality to justify their atrocities.
Likewise for Assad – he is defending his country from foreign terrorists, not “killing his own people” – the Western invaders are killing Assad’s people.
Assad is not starving his own people either.  Recently the discredited Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) fabricated a story alleging that Assad was starving people in Madaya.  Evidence has recently emerged, however, that Western-supported rebels have been stockpiling food and selling it to civilians at exorbitant prices.  Again, Western military forces target civilians – with a view to killing and/or demoralizing them—for “strategic” purposes.  Vanessa Beeley decodes the intentional misrepresentation of the Madaya psy op. by listing investigative questions that should have been asked to find the truth, but were not.
War crimes perpetrated by the West are always dressed in mantles of respectability.  MSM spokespeople, all of whom have conflicts of interest, paint civilian murders as “collateral damage”.   Some commentators use the phrase “collateral murder”, but more accurately the military doctrine of slaughtering civilians is mass murder.  The 9/11 wars are all pre-meditated,  the false pretexts are carefully manufactured by State Departments, Public Relations agencies, and intelligence agencies, and the mass murder is intentional.  The 9/11 wars generate unforeseen developments, but the invasions and occupations were not and are not “mistakes”, as some commentators would have us believe.
NATO destroys, loots, and creates chaos so that it can impose its hegemony. Again, it’s an inversion of the ridiculous lie of “spreading democracy”.  The destruction also serves to create waves of refugees that serve to destabilize other countries — Europe is arguably being destabilized with a view to keeping the EU subservient to the U.S oligarch interests. Interestingly, countries not being “sacrificed” include Israel and Wahhabi Saudi Arabia – and neither country is accepting refugees/imperial crime victims either.
All of these pre-meditated invasions point to a larger picture.  Humanity is being sacrificed for the illusory benefit of the criminal 1% transnational oligarch class.  If Western populations were to awaken to the barbaric crimes being perpetrated in their names, they would rightly bow their heads in shame.
The shame would be a strong foundation for shaking off the shackles of lies and war propaganda, and for withdrawing our consent to these crimes against humanity.

I see that the really big news that should concern all Canadians hasn’t yet hit Off-Guardian, much less Canadian news media generally.
The news (which is currently infiltrating alternative media across the Internet) is that the new Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland’s family background is not what she claims it to be. According to Freeland herself and her Wikipedia entry, her mother’s family fled Nazi and Soviet occupation of Galicia (in northwestern Ukraine) and her mother was born in a refugee camp. Records recently released by the Polish Government however appear to show that Freeland’s maternal grandfather Mykhailo Chomiak was a Nazi collaborator who published propaganda for his German masters throughout the Second World War.
I’m not suggesting that Freeland lied about her background, there is every possibility that she is unaware of it and the truth is only now being revealed as a result of her becoming Foreign Minister.
From John Helmer “VICTIM OR AGGRESSOR – CHRYSTIA FREELAND’S FAMILY RECORD FOR NAZI WAR PROFITEERING, AND MURDER OF THE CRACOW JEWS” at his Dances With Bears blog
http://johnhelmer.net/victim-or-aggressor-chrystia-freelands-family-record-for-nazi-war-profiteering-and-murder-of-the-cracow-jews/
“… The records now being opened by the Polish government in Warsaw reveal that Freeland’s maternal grandfather Michael (Mikhailo) Chomiak was a Nazi collaborator from the beginning to the end of the war. He was given a powerful post, money, home and car by the German Army in Cracow, then the capital of the German administration of the Galician region. His principal job was editor in chief and publisher of a newspaper the Nazis created. His printing plant and other assets had been stolen from a Jewish newspaper publisher, who was then sent to die in the Belzec concentration camp. During the German Army’s winning phase of the war, Chomiak celebrated in print the Wehrmacht’s “success” at killing thousands of US Army troops. As the German Army was forced into retreat by the Soviet counter-offensive, Chomiak was taken by the Germans to Vienna, where he continued to publish his Nazi propaganda, at the same time informing for the Germans on other Ukrainians. They included fellow Galician Stepan Bandera, whose racism against Russians Freeland has celebrated in print, and whom the current regime in Kiev has turned into a national hero.
Just before Vienna fell to the Soviet forces in March 1945, Chomiak evacuated with the German Army into Germany, ending up near Munich at Bad Worishofen. On September 2, 1946, when Freeland says her mother was born in a refugee camp, she was actually in a well-known spa resort for wealthy Bavarians. The US Army then controlled that part of Germany; they operated an Army hospital at Bad Worishofen and accommodated Chomiak at a spa hotel. US Army records have yet to reveal what the Americans learned about Chomiak’s war record, and how he was employed by US Army Intelligence, after he had switched from the Wehrmacht. It took Chomiak another two years before the government in Ottawa allowed the family to enter Canada.
The reason the Polish Government is now investigating Freeland is that Chomiak’s wartime record not only victimized Galician Jews, but also the Polish citizens of Cracow …”

And Justin Trudeau’s support of an apartheid regime in Israel is equally shameful. We all, as western nations, should be hanging our heads on so may counts. Where did our humanity go?

From a Canadian, it’s all true. Our country has been warped beyond recognition, most dramatically since the Mulroney years, but beginning under Trudeau. Trudeau did many good things, but he began the process of selling the public good to private capital, a process that continued under his protege Chretien. Pearson’s peaceful Canada is dead and gone.

The machinations of those accused in the article seem clear enough, the labels used, probably not. The culpability of those purporting to be leaders cannot be ascribed to the population. In all countries those elected seldom perform their duties as promised. The media, termed MSM in the article, are ‘legal’ publishers indebted to those who grant their licence. Do we apply shame to the journalists, editors etc who are continually over ruled, because their interpretations differ from those of their employer, a ‘legal’ publisher? 9/11, Western Propagandists, oligarch class etc are labels that prevent accountability. Within the article there is but one name and that is only in reference to a repetition of speech. Maybe Canadians : I am not, so attempt respect, should consider their constitution. Canadians should decide the direction of their country. Do you really think a Governor General is for ceremonial duties only?

I know our Governor General is strictly for ceremonial duties only Alan… serving as the head of mistakes for the Queen of England and a rubber stamp for generations of minimally democratic Colonial governments. You can plug in and resonate with all the hatred and bile that has accumulated in Canadians towards the ransacker’s of our Off-to-waar capitol. We just gonged a Wannabe Trump leading the neo-pack there…appointing positions of executive grandeur to friends in office… to make sure the ship sinks belly up. We have fashioned ourselves a Soviet-style Parliament and Senate that has been systematically sabotaged to fail in the demands now placed on the state. I also dare to imagine that Off-Guardian may be a collection agency for malcontents and fifth columnists so that the real elite can be discretely looking for thinking people who they want sidelined like Face Book does and then technically vaporized. As the kids at McDonald’s say, “Half a good day!”

Hear, hear! Well said Mr. Taliano. Keep up the good work. Now you have Pentagon trailer trolls stalking your blog, so the tools of the oligarchy regard you as a potential threat.

Mark Taliano is a completely ill-informed blowhard. He hasn’t the guts to publish in Canada so he flings his Nuremberg crap from the wings of Off Guardian. One cannot ascertain whether he is infected himself with left-over NeoNazi warmongering propaganda or scouting Canada for Donald Trump and Sarah Palin. He is bludgeoning the truth about how we govern ourselves in Canada and spreading outrageous crap for the purpose of stirring up hatred. He deserves to be tied and dragged behind his own foul manure spreader.

Well, john, I’d say you’re stirring up pretty good yourself.
“How we govern ourselves in canada”. That’s a good one.

John, our so-called national news magazine Maclean’s publishes articles by racist warmongers like Mark Steyn, the “liberal” Globe and Star publish articles claiming austerity is the only way and free trade is great, the CBC has had its funding slashed in half by the Harper government and our economy is, as you say, a pile of foul manure. News outlets here, like in the UK, refuses to ask any hard questions of our politicians about their policies, only focusing on sensationalist Rob Ford-esque personal crap.
Not to mention, thanks to neoliberal economic policies, thousands of well-paid manufacturing jobs have left this country, never to return, which has hit my city (St. Catharines, ON) particularly hard. Our country has serious problems, accusing people of being Nazis won’t solve it.

This is the Web, it is not confined to Canada nor is it limited to anywhere but Canada. It takes more guts to inform the masses of the truth than to just troll on without substance.
As for us in Canada we have lost our sovereignty by allowing Harper to involve us in what a previous government would not do for this very same reason, in fact, Canadians voted to rid us of this war mongering Bush wanna be, “Pulling the Jets” was one reason many of us voted out this little dictator Harper who was hell bent on invading Iraq, that worked out well didn’t it sir!
If you wish to speak about Neo Nazi’s you should look at Harpers record on supporting them, however from your insulting non factual replies I like many others on here can only see you as the “manure spreader”, no substance, just crap!
You sir should step away from your computer and turn Fox news back on.
Thank you Mark for another well informed, Factual piece.

The Anglo -Zionist western world had this planned years ago. Let us not forget retired general Wesley Clarke. & countries in 5 years . Libya was on the list and Syria. Balkanise the whole region. Seeing they were successful in the mid 90s with that part of their grand scheme lets move in on the ME. Just look at what they are imposing on the Tehran regime. The Iranians are not even allowed to defend themselves hence the JCAOP gets the go ahead and the USA congress reimpose new sanctions on them. Double speak . It is truly Orwellian times we are living in. Yesterdays news gets wrapped in todays fish.P.S Just have read that a French EU delegation has just arrived at the Donbass and assessing the human rights abuse inflicted by the Kieve /fascist regime on their fellow citizens. There is hope maybe that it will end in the coming year for Kieve seems to have gone beyond its shelf life. History repeats itself to a T.

Yes sir, it appears they have. The terrorist group JDL still has its grip on the Canadian house, they have lobbied the Conservatives who still have a nose hook across the floor in the snozzle of Justin. Justin has just joined condemned them in condemning any Canadian of supporting the BDS movement, denying Canadians of their rights of free speech enshrined in their constitution.

a few years ago we visited the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon in Arizona-the next year we visited Western Canada including “the Rocky Mountaineer”-we found Canadians cool and laid back and less intense than Americans-but politicians on Obama`s speed dial are a much lower species-as we Brits can testify. I think Canada could be more independent of the USA, politically and economically. then disasters like that Tar Sands Pipeline to Texas would not happen.

I agree with this comment, only that it is not only the US imperialism but the all time hidden hand of the Judaic Criminal Mafia, the Zio boys in Washington that made possible all these massacres and crimes against humanity.
This article is very well researched and very well said. Thanks.

This policy, like the equally criminal policy of supporting regime change (and voting against UN resolutions against the glorification of Nazis) in the Ukraine, would appear to enjoy the support not only of the Liberal and Conservative parties but also the NDP.
The Canadian media are dominated by the narrow neo-liberal mindset of the tiny clique which still works in it after years of downsizing cum purging staff. The extent of the media monopoly-newspapers and TV stations- is unlike anything to be found elsewhere and clearly against generations of anti-monopoly regulation.
