Holy Week and WikiLeaks
Hugh O’Neill
There is nothing new under the sun”
Ecclesiastes
I was sent a humourous Birthday card, depicting Jesus holding his mobile phone; his thought bubble reads: “Twelve followers so far. Sweet!”. As a Catholic, one often thinks of historical parallels and what insights into the Human Condition can be gleaned from old stories – looking for parables? It is Holy Week this week, a rapid 7 days in which Christ goes from the celebrity status of Palm Sunday, through to the Last Supper, Agony in the Garden in which he pleads for this chalice to pass his lips, betrayal by Judas, arraigned before the religious courts, and then delivered to the Romans for their judgement.
When Pilate can find no guilt, the crowds are influenced by temple agents to demand his crucifixion. Christ is duly tormented, humiliated and put to very public and agonising death on the cross, but with his last words, he pleads for his tormentors: “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do”. Meanwhile his followers go into hiding, terrified that they will be next.
But what has this story got to do with us now? Although the cartoon depiction of Jesus doesn’t look much like Julian Assange, it provoked a thought exercise: imagine being witness to those events 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem. There is something biblical about fleeing into exile for 7 years. One overarching parallel is the dominance of the Roman Empire akin to that of the American influence and the craven subjugation of the British Establishment – and other territories under Roman/American Rule. Many supporters of Assange have already labelled Lenin Moreno as Judas having sold his soul for 30 pieces of silver. (Note to Moreno: it didn’t end well for Judas).
Imagine how the tabloids and MSM would treat Jesus today: “He mixes with lepers and is probably leprous himself”; “What about that long-haired Mary Magdalene who seems overly attentive to his needs?” “His hair looks like he just spent 40 days in the wilderness”. Meanwhile, the alternative media has become the voice in the wilderness, unsettling Herod’s peace of mind.
So the question for me is why did the Jewish authorities influence Roman power (and subvert the democratic vote put by Pilate) to do their dirty work? Why was Jesus, King of the Jews such a threat to the status quo? Was it his antipathy to market place materialism and seeking a kinder world (as expressed in The Beatitudes)? One might ask the same questions behind the persecution of Julian Assange, who is hated for having exposed the war crimes and lies of the ruling classes.
For those who can only see a smelly unkempt rapist, perhaps we might recall that there used to be a commandment not to kill, just as there was one about coveting one’s neighbour’s wife. From my perspective, the killing of innocents seems the greater crime. Jesus (allegedly) issued a caveat against judging sexual offending: “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”.
Finally, let us return to Christ’s followers who were hiding in mortal terror. They were eventually empowered with the “Gift of Tongues” which allowed them to be understood by every nation. Somewhere in there is a metaphor for the alternative media, but like the dyslexic agnostic, I lack the gift of tongues to complete the metaphor. Whether one is religious or atheist, If we should ever lose hope, then evil will indeed triumph.

The thing about Jesus is that He knew what was coming, and dedicated His life to fulfilling what the Scriptures had to say about it.
Others, like Assange, Manning and Snowden are different: They land in the shit because of their innate interest in truth and honesty, and end up having to decide how to handle the consequences of their refusal to accept that there is no difference between right and wrong.
But not everybody has the courage to stick to their principles, as these inspiring people have done, and one may certainly talk about a Christ-like impulse behind their stoicism in the face of great injustice and persecution.
They have nothing but my greatest admiration.
Corbyn is different again, in that I see no amazing insight into human evolution and purpose where he is concerned.
It’s rather hard to see whether he even believes in such things as “the purpose of human evolution”, being a fairly practical man.
It is definitely interesting to speculate upon the extent to which hardship and injustice actually SHAPE the character and destiny of individuals, rather than the opposite scenario, where remarkable people deliberately shape the extent to which injustice and hardship are tolerated in our society…
An interesting juxtaposition in your phrase “the purpose of evolution”.
Purpose is of the Mind – and the theory of evolution – while also of the mind, posits a mindless material existence as CAUSE – in place of MIND – which is truly always our greatest Intimacy of true environment – regardless the focus in objects of attention.
Thus a ‘mind’ randomly accretes or assembles over billions of years as the illusion of a mind – in total subordination and dictate to a persistence of energy patterns or genetic mutations.
But those who hold such an anti-magic wand can use it to block and deny Mind in any Movement that does not support the Model of materially captured convictions.
I note that when it doesn’t suit us, we WANT to assign cause outside or away from self – and that can be to a god as much as to a random accident or disease of genetic or materially set conditions
Purpose and desire are fundamental to all that then follows.
Jesus did not write Scriptures – but those who did sought to align the truth of their witness with the forms of acceptance. The mind of prophecy is hidden from the materially minded who see at best predictions rather than a true reading of the current energies in movement.
And the making of the prequel by which to support one’s claim is simply part of the way the mind works – though Jesus did not call on that for his person.
Once a messenger has been smeared or debunked and walled out or turned to an idol by which to bring out in support of an otherwise dead letter society, it becomes impossible to reference without translation into terms of hate. That is how it works.
The message we receive is not determined by any external power but by our own accepted purpose and desire. When we align that with Caesar or power in the world – we take it from true recognition and fulfilment. Until we no longer know our purpose and have buried, denied or crucified our true desire.
Time to clear up some 2000 year old lies that have caused untold misery.
Tiberius issued the execution order personally to his favorite ward, Pontius Pilate’s wife, at the island of Capri. Pilate had a Comey moment (remember Comey said he had a Hoover moment) with a sure order from above. Capri was thereafter the center of Mithra satanic rituals.
Why was Tiberius moved to murder? Very simply, look at any Roman coin – all Caesars were the “son of god” – Jesus said to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, a direct confrontation with the sheer evil that was Rome.
Hence the Christian doctrine of Imago Viva Dei, and Capax Dei.
Hence today the Torquemada Mueller inquisition, threats from Pompeo to blow the planet up, the sheer lies about the origin of the failed Russiagate – London. Why does Australia not take jurisdiction of citizen Assange?
Well, have a look at the Perth Mint 2014 coinage of Tuvalu and wonder how the lie still persists :
https://www.perthmint.com/catalogue/gods-of-olympus-zeus-2014-2oz-silver-high-relief-coin.aspx
There QE II is the god of olympus Zeus , Tiberius’s model. Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the coin’s obverse.
Many points in your post – all Kingship and Aristocracy inherits the God-king idea.
I hold that that arose in catastrophic experience of a past that is hidden by psychic ‘amnesia’ and which is held in the Mythic Record of all peoples from Antiquity. An experience of overwhelming terror as destructive power set the ‘Separation trauma’ that predicates what we call subjective consciousness – which is both the creative capacity to model or imagine reality and the subjection to its own ‘sowing’.
But it was the elites of Jesus’ own people who set up and used the power of Caesar to crucify someone that the Roman authorities had no interest in – excepting as brought to them as a troublemaker by Jewish authorities operating as a permitted and limited semi autonomy under Roman Jurisdiction.
When Pilate met Jesus – he was interested in him – but the lobby for his execution included a flashmob shouting for Barabus and so perhaps the merits of the accused did not outweigh the pains of inflammation, dissonance and strife that would accrue from not going along with it.
Interesting article and interesting comments. I am of the view that Corbyn is more in alignment with the analogies as to Jesus, his persecution and his crucifixion. Jesus talked about the need to help the poor and the vulnerable, about forgiveness and sacrifice and about the need for peace and to treat each other with dignity and respect. There is no doubt Corbyn espouses, very clearly, these values and is consistent as to how a Labour Government would deal with poverty, redistribute wealth, the need for peace etc. Jesus condemned the rich as being self-interested whilst being in a position to do good which they did not. Not only that, but Corbyn has suffered a relentless MSM and Government Campaign of persecution against him personally and politically and that campaign is and continues to be malicious, vicious, vitriolic, hateful and fake news most of it. Whether you support him or not, I have to admire the dignity he has had in the face of these vicious press campaigns against him. His focus is still on the poor, the vulnerable, building a better society, building more jobs and working towards peace. A man of honour, decency and humanity.
I agree 100%. Corbyn even has the right initials! But right now, it is JA who is on the cross. If JC ever became PM, then who knows what fate might befall him, given that an Army general is already on record as favouring a coup. JC wishes to remove their beloved Trident, traditionally the devil’s favourite tool.
“If JC ever became PM ..”
The dark forces might not allow Jeremy Bernard Corbyn to contest an election unless they are certain he’s going to lose. The Five Eyes might be viewing Mr Corbyn as an existential threat.
Dissidents Unite; Hugh
Sorry to interrupt your self-congratulatory moment: and planned ascension of Corbyn – because he has the right initials. Here is what support of the British Labour party, NATO and its proxies, and the White Helmets looks like in the real world:
http://english.almanar.com.lb/framework/includes/uploads/2017/04/manar-08620110014922762937.jpeg
I don’t remember the real JC supporting and collecting money for child murderers. Perhaps you are confusing Corbyn with some other guy?
BigB. In defence of JA and JC, and anyone else who tries to do the right thing. Nobody said it was easy, and nor should we abuse those who try but fail in your eyes. We are all mortals. Even Jesus struggled in agony in the Garden of Gethsemani and again on the cross (My God. Why hast thou forsaken me?”).
I do not need to believe any of these stories to be factually accurate, it is their insights into the Human Condition which becomes more profound as one grows old. (See also my response to ‘der einzige’ below). As I have also said elsewhere, even Saints cannot be saints all the time, and it is their Humanity which is the most empowering example to us all. If this mere mortal can find the courage, why not me?
That is entirely my point: to find the courage to do the right thing. Since the children of al-Fu’ah and Kafriya were blown up by NATO proxies: three months after JC was actively collecting money for the White Helmets …I have been antithetical to the false hopes blindly cathexed on Corbyn. I have no reason to reproduce my concerns here: but it is a pretty severe list which should rightly make any conscious living person give up any fallacy that Labour are a force for good in this world. Not least because of what I term the ‘Corbyn singularity effect’. Remove JC from the mix: and what will actually be elected is around 300 Zionists, neoliberals, or both. Who have no plans whatsoever to do any good for the poor. If they do, it will be at the expense of the poor elsewhere – such as the children of Syria.
Indeed, who can guarantee that the first act of a Labour government will not be a Watson coup? The second act will be to cede our sovereignty to NATO/EU vassalship – contra to what Corbyn himself categorised as a “military Frankenstein” and ”EU Empire” under the Lisbon Treaty. A broader discussion would have to include that this act alone will render Labours more progressive policies practico-inert under the Maastricht Treaty and Labours own neoliberal ‘Fiscal Credibility Rule’ (expenditure must not exceed taxation returns and add to the National Deficit – capped at 3% by the EU …If I remember correctly). [See Bill Mitchell’s blog – he’s been critiquing Labour for nearly three years now. Half of what they want to do is incompatible with EU neoliberalism].
An archetypal leader will have to show more backbone than the current comparison. And the constituent electorate will have to be more discerning of what is right, egalitarian, and universally internationalisable as a common humanity. What is right for all, not just what is right for me. I fear that will take a new life politique to replace the reflexive binary choice of two imperialist war parties. One which has a slightly more cuddly definition of imperialism as humanitarian intervention …with inclusive LGBTQ++ sympathies. I’m sorry to have to resort to the photo above – but the outcome looked identical on the ground at Rashidin.
Big B. You are not, clearly, seeing who JC actually is. He has been consistently passionate about changing the plight of the poor in this country, of redistributing wealth, of building affordable housing and so on and so forth. You seem also to be ignoring the fact that we have, currently, the most corrupt Government (Fascist in its politics) in the UK Parliamentary history. If they win the next election (God forbid) we will descend into a one party, fascist state. The MSM is already nothing more than a propaganda machine for this Government; they are covering up corruption, outright lies, gross incompetence, ignorance and a lot more. Putin would love an MSM of this magnitude to promote its’ shit and propaganda.
Jeremy Corbyn is quite rightly, the Prime Minister in waiting. God knows, we need Labour Party policies as stated in their Manifesto more than ever. This Tory Government has shamed us in the eyes of the World. I know one thing though, had a Labour Party Government presided over this unprecedented level of Government corruption, dishonesty, gross self-interest and gross incompetence and the only Government in Parliamentary History in the UK to be found to be held in contempt of Parliament, the MSM would have well and truly crucified them.
Dissidents Unite
I feel I have addressed most of your points already. The Manifesto is not credible or compatible with EU/NATO neoliberal suzerainty – that Corbyn is negotiating: contra his own morality. There is the small matter of anti-Constitutional Treason and post-democracy of ignoring a clear mandate to leave the EU. This overrides whatever ones actual vote was. If the public votes, and MPs ignore it – then they are all not fit for purpose. We have a Constitutional and legitimation crisis in which JC is playing a major Judas role.
You say the Manifesto is costed. I say it is not: not in human terms. You hit the nail on the head when you say “changing the plight of the poor in this country” – what about in other countries? That’s 163 dead children at Rashidin – indicative of what NATO and White Helmet support (and regime change support of the Jo Cox Foundation) looks like in the real world …not the fantasy world of champagne socialism.
There is also the NATO/EU drang nacht oesten colonisation of Eastern Europe: with its military Dineyfication theme park occupation that Corbyn supports. He failed to mention the concomitant dehumanisation, denial of an economic future, and rape culture that has brought to the Baltics. Or the incipient Nazification.
There is the dubious support of the billionaire class arch-imperialists – represented by the toxic presence of Bill Browder – and Corbyns constant advocacy of his Magnitsky Sanctions regime. There is also the spurious support of Navalny, and Corbyn’s anti-Putin Russophobia. What might the human costs of that pseudo-Cold War Labour polity be?
Trident makes us a target: end of. It is not an independent deterrent …free from NATO control. The renewal of Trident is an anti-humanitarian crime par excellence. The trade off of 30,000 Boilerworkers jobs for an uncertain fate for humanity – exacerbated by Labours anti-Russia electioneering – seems like an uncosted cost/benefit loss for humanity to me. Potentially the ultimate loss and failure – for a few unionised jobs?
Given that the re-nationalisation programme is a current grey area – but unlikely to be compatible with EU neoliberal treaty law – to which we will be unnecessarily and unrepresentatively shackled by Corbyn …what of the rest of the economic programme? We live in an entropic world: where the global economy is shrinking. We have a global massive overproduction crisis – including, but not limited to – China, India, Taiwan, South Korea; etc. So we are going to make what – for whom? And pay a unionised living wage to – pricing ourselves out of an already cut-throat global market.
Or import substitution tarrifed protectionism? Not in the EU. Not anyway. By the time we import the raw materials, create the infrastructure, relocate urbanised workforces – the global economy will have collapsed. Debt financing or fiscal stimulus only make sense if the market is expanding. If not, the credit is inflationary and the debts are unrepayable from day one. And we will be limited in the amount of deficit by Labours own Fiscal Credibility Rule – and the EU deficit caps.
Tech, AI, and financial services? Our core business for UK Inc is rent extraction from the global market. This is never discussed by Social Democrats. Those taxes, costed in to our phoney future – are the bad-faith blood money of the unseen, depersoned Other. That core business is all but assured by Labour – under the euphemism “pro-business”. When the leading capitalist ideologue of his generation takes out a spread in the FT – to endorse Labours policy ahead of the Tories …and when they choose Stiglitz as a neoliberal tweaker – you really have to fear for the poor of this world. What is the unseen cost to humanity of Business As Usual for the neoliberal rent extractors? Do we want to save the NHS with their blood money?
The world is experiencing a slow-burn net energy crisis. That means the energy cost of energy will rise: and the benefit to society will fall. Against this backdrop: Labour wants to invest in 40% nuclear – and include untried future tech such as BECCS and CCS. Nuclear is a nightmare that will tie us into global energy markets for 70 years. Contrary to popular belief: nuclear is neither green nor sustainable – when submitted to a Life Cycle Analysis. Currently, nuclear is unbuildable – as Westinghouse, Hitachi, and Toshiba withdrawing from the market attests to. So there is an unspoken need for massive government subsidy and guaranteed high price per Mgw-hour. The same applies to BECCS and CCS. We will be committing to more expensive energy – compared to the tumbling cost of renewables – and locked into dwindling energy markets for decades. What are the hidden costs to society and the environment there?
No one has mentioned where this nuclear will be situated. All our current facilities are ageing and due to be retired in 2030. It is too late to replace them. The financial incentive is not there. So will we re-licence redundant 60s and 70s tech – for the sake of a capitalised neoliberal energy policy? At what cost?
I could go on – but Labour are playing major fantasy league pseudo-politics. Tying is into a sociopathological globalised neoliberal world system via its own, and soon to be supra-sovereign militarised EU/NATO expansionist policies. You say this is costed: but what is the cost for humanity and the environment? Not a cost humanity can afford if it wants to survive. And the cost of 2% GNE support of NATO/EU expansionism? The children of Rashidin will not be alone for very much longer. And if we vote to legitimate this: what part do we play?
Or an asset to acquire – I’ve been reading a bit about Lloyd George.
A GPS route giver immediately reroutes any deviation.
The purpose of ‘survival’ in its own terms operates at a level that we are rarely aware of and as power for its own sake.
Power does not run through the old political channels excepting to maintain a Face for narrative control. The ‘threat’ to the ‘establishment’ or it globalist agenda is more to the maintaining of a narrative that masks and supports, or hides and diverts exposure and challenge. But if QE for (compliant) citizens or subjects is part of a further state capture and dependency – then who better to be allowed to ‘win it’ for ‘the people’.
Who pays the piper calls the tune.
I also respect Corbyn for his example and demeanour in representing the trust of people who support him – but leadership brings entanglements that I feel has compromised him in the attempt to unify a Party that has abandoned its roots.
I haven’t a sense of an inspiring vision from him – so much as seeking to mitigate the damage of a system that cannot be openly questioned.
I can see Corbyn, and a few others trying to do what you mention, but the sad fact is a Labour government will not deliver anything to the poor. Not that will really help them.
Even the great Labour gov of 1945 had a rabid right winger in the foreign office. You can thank him for our slavish “special relationship”
Hidden History – The secret origins of the first world war – Gerry Docherty and Jim Macgregor – This book may be focused in the past – but has every application to an understanding of how power through due process is subverted and corrupted – no matter who gets in to the supposed offices of its jurisdiction.
The Corbett Report has a documentary on the theme of the Book that includes some of this information as well as the whole interviews with Docherty on this and on Hoover and others prolonging of the war by manipulation of sympathies to serve a hidden agenda.
The refinements and developments of such an influence will tend to be many moves ahead of any sense of the world we may imagine possible – until we come up against the complex of denials and deceits by which an invested narrative blocks any other from acceptance – UNLESS it can subvert or use it to serve its purpose.
Hi some random Passer-by. I believe you are wrong, the Labour Manifesto is costed, is focussed and details exactly how they will deliver. May be you should read it. I think, mostly, the rabid right wingers have left the Labour Party (Alleluia). Also, if you look at the new Labour Politicians ushered in under Corbyn, they are passionate about policies that will redistribute wealth, create jobs, create affordable housing and more. This Government conversely, are completely devoid of any sort of thought. They haven’t a clue in their heads as to how to sort out the gross economic mess they have made of this country, how to sort out the mess they have made of Universal Credit, the gross mess they have made of the Probation Service (attributed to a lack of any thought or consultation by the Government on why the changes were necessary); on how to address the issue that Chris Grayling awarded a contract for delivering a ferry service post Brexit to a company who had no ferries. I could go on. This Government is inherently corrupt in the worst possible terms.
I know this country needs an honest, decent, focussed Prime Minister, i.e. Corbyn who is neither flashy or trashy but believes wholeheartedly in his country, what is best for it, for how to redistribute wealth so we become a more equal society, who understands the need for affordable housing etc etc.
The focus should be currently, on this grossly incompetent and corrupt Tory Government who are only in power because of the MSM. They are minority Government who is unfit to Govern in any way shape or form and more importantly, haven’t got an idea in their head as to how to create jobs, invest in the economy, reverse the recession we are descending into (thanks to their mis management of the economy). This is what should be the focus of criticism by the MSM and the public. Not Corbyn or the Labour Party. Truth should be spoken to power by the MSM but it isn’t is it?
Not a coincidence that Integrity Initiative of the British Institute for Statecraft were caught slandering Corbyn as anti-semitic, the very same British unit that started Russiagate against Trump. Mueller refused to interview Assange on the DNC faux hack. VIPS (Veteran Intel Professionals for Sanity) strongly advise Trump to take Assange’s offer to clear up the DNC leak up. Pompeo met VIPS Binney on Trump’s orders and then Pompeo seemingly stopped any further Assange contact.
Assange can blow the entire Russia bogey meme out the window – he has taken on Tiberius’ imperial Great Game.
Jesus (allegedly) issued a caveat against judging sexual offending: “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”.
The Biblical direction is not only against judging sexual offences, but all actions adjudged to be wrong. Something our Liberal/Leftist friends in particular would do well to consider, in my opinion.
And it saddens me that so many in positions of leadership in the American “Empire” fail to recognise that it and they are the Roman Empire of the 21st century and that evil figures such as Bolton are our Herod. Happy to see innocents abroad killed for political expediency in the name of the greater good of the Empire.
Julian is, I agree – to some extent – a 21st Century Christ. A rebel, seeking the good of humanity, persecuted by oppressive authority and misunderstood and abandoned by the masses.
The underlying freedom from deceit that Jesus exemplified is that there is no ‘good’ but God and that a true recognition of the Father in the Son – (or of Cause in the Effect) is the Relationship on which he founds his ‘church’. This Foundation is Timeless even if it must seem to wait on time for acceptance and extension. And so is operating through time as the willingness to share it – and as the translation and undoing of a mind in error or mis-taken identity.
Even unto the least of us is no less a Christ unrecognised than you are – but the basis for true recognition is not the perception or projection of evil or sin in the Bad Guys – but the plucking from our mind of our OWN – that we might see, free of the mind of deceit and be free to speak or move as we are truly moved or indeed guided and supported.
What a manipulated mass-culture makes of the Christ is whatever supports the persistence OF a manipulative deceit that runs as IF a sense of power and protection to the ‘mortally framed mind’. Truth needs nothing to be itself. Illusions need propping up and compliance – at a cost that the illusion seeks to push out into small print or effect non-disclosure.
Whatever symbols or words are used to communicate – because all have been degraded by abuse, the idea of a true and living context – from which separative act of ‘taking out of context’ is both impossible IN TRUTH and futile to give truth and power TO, allows the recognition and release of the futile to naturally and spontaneously align and give due to That which Is unconflicted – and by nature holds all things one. This can be recognised in unified purpose attracting and aligning all that truly belongs or serves unfolding fulfilment. The attempt to unify purpose by denial and suppression is the lie and the father of it.
The Idea of Living Universe is not the projection of a made mind – but Creation AS Mind in which and of which to behold and know – and so to BE the Shared Recognition that knows BY extension. A false sense of familiarity breeds contempt – but Family is true relatedness. A shattered family constellation makes the mind ‘legion’ or alienated in fragmentation of conflicting voices. True reconciliation in our own heart and mind is the basis from which we share in or extend the Good, the Beautiful and the True as truly moved and shared being.
It is necessary to look on the fear and the fear or terror symbols so as to break the spell of a fixated fascination that gives power to conflict.
Macron is the antichrist.

Hugh O’Neill beautifully and succinctly gifts us with the truth that recurs again and again throughout history. He grasps why the Jesus story resonates down though the years: a story of non-violent love and opposition to state violence, courage, truth, betrayal, hypocrisy, etc. Leonard Cohen sang that “Jesus was a sailor,” and Hugh O’Neill, a sailor himself, intuitively grasps the enduring power of the Christ story that reminds us that we are all sailors in need of faith and courage to bring us home again. Let’s bring Julian home, before the state authorities kill him. Thank you, Hugh.
Morning Ed. Many thanks for your kind words and for distilling the simple message I was trying to convey. You have the gift of tongues.
Of course the bare bones of the oft retreaded ‘easter story’ is fine, but forging that parable of pantheism with the brittle cast iron of imperial propaganda aka organised religion, is not.
If humans are to become self-reliant yet cooperative individuals we need be, it is essential for us to have shed the lies of the bosses, all of which which are designed to keep us fighting amongst ourselves; Xtian Vs Hindu vs Muslim Vs Buddhist while we all remain devoted to our religion’s particular despot. Otherwise we are truly fooked, nothing more than the puppets of the greedy self-righteous arseholes who thrive off our despair, starvation and misery.
Home being Australia, right? I am not sure of his safety there considering the Head of that State. Assange has taken on the British Great Game of centuries, with Russia being central. He knows it was not Russia that leaked the DNC stuff, and ruined Hilary’s chances. London is in complete chaos with Brexit and Trump and is reacting very dangerously. Trump should take up Assange’s offer to clear up the leak. He will face unbelievable nastiness but it will clear the way for US, Russia, China cooperation, his campaign theme.
Quote//
“a story of non-violent love and opposition to state violence, courage, truth, betrayal, hypocrisy, etc. Leonard Cohen sang that “Jesus was a sailor,” //
Hmmm.. As opposed to violent love?
He didn’t oppose state violence or support it. ‘Resist ye not evil’ is part of a greater freedom. But fools will make a folly of it – as of anything else.
Courage in honesty is love of truth and the truth of love.
Jesus did not give time or attention to hypocrites – also meaning ‘actors’.
The metaphor that Cohen used was where ‘drowning’ frees us – because in his words ‘only drowning men can see him’. Which is to suggest that a NEED is uncovered in extremis that is otherwise hidden.
By all means protect the right and rights of Julian Assange and the free speech of all, but if you bring Jesus in to prop up the campaign, be willing to let truth get in the way of what seems like a good story.
Jesus was moved not to defend his person from false accusation, and to be put to death.
That he lives is not universally acknowledged – but I have it that drowning in fear is the basis for the Call to Love – and love’s Answer is the remembrance of giving and receiving as one.
This truth is before time and stands at its end. Giving and receiving are one. Illusions are temporary regardless how intense the emotional investment of reality in them. The idea that we can unHome our self is the wish for a private self autonomy based on taking or getting.
What we think to possess dispossesses us. To gain a world but lose our Soul. Persistently. And as Leonard also sang – ‘and those who earnestly are lost, are lost, and lost, again’.
Give me back my broken night
My mirrored room, my secret life
It’s lonely here
There’s no one left to torture
Give me absolute control
Over every living soul
And lie beside me, baby
That’s an order
Give me crack and anal sex
Take the only tree that’s left
And stuff it up the hole
In your culture
Give me back the Berlin wall
Give me Stalin and St. Paul
I’ve seen the future, brother
It is murder
Leonard Cohen
Something stinks your new Jesus (for so many years, but it does not reach many)
http://progressivepress.com/blog-entry/something-stinks-about-wikileaks
I still find it hard that not many people have looked into Assanges background he used to hack for the CIA at one point and no one ever mentions his hey pretend that a man who gave up the names of afghans who had helped to get al qaeda and taliban members arrested is some nice principled bloke. The only part of what that judge said that was correct was that he is a narcissist
Judge to JA: you are a narcissist. JA to Judge: these are your words. As the prisoner was led from the dock, the judge tried to compose an appropriate sign to nail onto the cross: IULIAN Narcissus, Rex Iudicorum? Judge not, lest Ye be judged.
No, something stinks with your website regressive-illiberal-press.com
Tolstoy described perfectly such as you
“I know that most people, even those who cope well with the problems of the highest complexity, are rarely able to accept even the simplest and most obvious truth, if it compels them to proclaim false claims that they would like to present to their colleagues with pride, and from which, thread by thread, they woven the matter of their lives.” – Tolstoy
Belfast Telagraph: “What about 9/11?”
Mossange: “I’m constantly annoyed that people are distracted by false conspiracies such as 9/11, when all around we provide evidence of real conspiracies, for war or mass financial fraud.”

Julian Assange – 9/11 Investigation question
Der Einzige. I watched this video and must admit that JA is decidedly wobbly on 9/11 and then his mouth runs away with him and starts talking about the JFK assassination. I am no psychologist, but that sure looked Freudian i.e. unable to admit that 9/11 was an inside job, his mind took him to JFK which was also an inside job. He talks about a few “rogue operators”, as if that says anything. When the MSM is part of the cover-up, then there is nothing “rogue” about these psy-ops. However, in our time of trial, it is extremely difficult to speak truth. Even St. Peter denied Jesus three times before the cock crowed! Just as Tulsi Gabbard should not be condemned for being forced to say under extreme pressure that Assad was a war criminal etc. Assange is a hopeless liar, and like me, ought never to play poker. He is a truth-teller, albeit inadvertently at times. Two millions of us marched in London in 2003 because we could easily see that both GWB and TB were blatantly lying about WMD. We all have an instinct to speak truth, and it takes a conscious effort to lie, which effort is easily detected without any complex equipment, drugs or torture.
How much are Mossange “revelations” versus the truth about 911?
It is about the video from helicopter attack which dozens, everyone could see earlier on liveleak and in dozens of other places?
It is strange that you are not so forgiving of BLiar when he talked about WMD. He was “forced to say under extreme pressure”. blah blah blah…
Humanity has a reflexive paralytic fear of the unknown. Useful, up until relatively recent times: when we conquered the wilderness and, potentially at least, put an end to cyclic scarcity. But we never really came to terms with the potential to end project fear: so we transferred it to aspects of modernity – like each other and anything ‘different’ or Other …outside the accepted and habituated ingroup norms. From which it became an instrumental utlity of the power-knowledge regimes.
So acclimatised to fear-first instinctual reactivity are we: we are inveterately, quadriplegically change averse. We do love a good status quo …or even a bad one: no matter how alienating and anxiety causing it may be. We tend toward a ‘kill’ first reactionary response to proposals of real change …I mean fundamental change – not fear-first mechanical gradualist modification …the socio-Darwinian evolution of the status quo …by which the status quo remains the status quo throughout. The proposition of the Kingdom or the Promised Land are too radical for the most. Especially the status quo vested interest state.
We like to map the known so thoroughly that it holds no surprises. We like it just so. Only the mapping removes the firstness, the novelty, the creativity, the enervating beauty, and the presentational immediacy of the living experience. So we create other knowns: modified mirror conceptual realities where would rather be …future (or past) simulated scenarios of gain, accumulation, and valorisation of personalised desire-dream-production realities. Literal projects of who we want to be, what we want to become, what we want to have, and goal orientated plans of how to get ‘there’. Wherever the displaced ‘there’ may be: it surely cannot be here …which makes the present unbearable for most. Which ramps up the fear-first levels of anxiety.
Living in an unbearable and anxious present anomie: afraid of real change …except for the personalised projects of how to get to an idealised future scenario. For which we need capital: nothing is free in this capitalised displaced dream reality. So what is worse than ‘living the dream’? Being excluded from living the dream by social poverty: especially when the spectacle of the dream is an adverted idealised presence all around. We become slaves of the unrealisable dream. But we do not let them go.
For Jung: Christ was the archetypal individuated man – whose primary role was as mediator between the known and the unknown …making the transcendant immanent; the eternal temporal; the fear love; the anxiety peace; the desire into spiritual reality; transforming desire and moderating all dualities into unity – in the Kingdom within. Not the message we have today. We have to die unto fear to be born again in love. Amen to that.
So the standard psychological approach, of just about everyone, except maybe James and Jung – right up to Jordan Peterson, displaces the Kingdom to a distant and heroic journey to far, far, away. Hic sunt dracones. Even MLK said “I’ve seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land”. Less than 24 hours later, he was dead.
So why do we place the Kingdom outside of space and time? Making it heroic journey ‘beyond’ – traversing dangerous, unexplored, and inaccessible mythical territories? The fear-full Unconscious. And why do we make the present ‘unbearable’ with displaced dream realities: as Peterson attests the standard psychology of textbooks to?
There is only one place and time we can be enervated by the presentational immediacy of the living experience. Could it be that the past and future conceptual realities are themselves ‘unbearable’ and ‘unreal’: in that the standard psychology displaces us from our primal aliveness? Where is ‘there’ if it can never be ‘here’? If we were or are primally alive to the experience, in the current and only occasion of the living experiential: what is there to be afraid of? Nothing. We live in heaven and psychologise hell. We are so well rehearsed and habituated that we do it unconsciously, without even thinking about it. Reflexively actualising fear. Reactively valorising fear.
Everything we think we know is a misplaced concrete reified dream: reflexively and reactively actualised. To paraphrase Joyce: historic reality is a nightmare from which I am trying to awake. If we can transition our displaced conceptual nightmare reality into our natural, organic, creatrix of uniqueness as a living experiential …we might yet recover the secret of our fecundity for life. Isn’t that what Eostre is for! Transcending our pagan fear of existential scarcity? If Christ is contemporaneous only in the living experiential process: then all time is present. That’s what I call life. Not this dream anxiety we seem to have displaced reality with.
All ths talk of fear, what of courage ? Where does that come from ?
Materialism has stolen our courage with the hidden death, the psychology of evolution.
The Christ story of resurrection was about confirming how death cannot ultimately touch us.
With that realisation, we have nothing to fear.
The Christmas week ends with tragedy in the churches. ISIS, AQ et al….who is ultimately behind them? What do they want ?
Events seem to be peeling everything away to leave us once again with the ancient stories.
*Easter
No birth, no death. The fear state is the invented interregnum between. There is no why or wherefore: it is just accepted, habituated, and conditioned. Why we still accept this in the 21st century – when all the knowledge is freely available to end our primal nescience (avidya) …I really do not know. This current power-knowledge state benefits no one. There is little point trying to explain this to anyone in power: so on it goes until we truly sick of all the death and misery …which in our self-preservation society, we probable won’t.
ISIS and AQ are an extension of the capitalist logic. Who is ultimately behind them: we are. That is the 30% or so of humanity that are actively involved in the material dialectics of modernity. As we know, ISIS and AQ are not an authentic voice of the marginalised and excluded – that is the pretence. The capitalist “war of civilisations” is a simulated cover story for consumerism. You can extend that into Africa, where local AQ groups – AQIM; Lords Resistance Army; Boko Haram – seem to pop up wherever there is oil, or where Chinese capital investment goes. Then AFRICOM (+EU) counterinsurgency efforts to “train and equip” local forces follow – securing the area for neoliberal capital. Although we are almost an afterthought – anyone who is involved in modernity …that’s everyone – benefits from this. Particularly the ongoing Holocaust in the DRC – involving child labour, child soldiers, and an unquantifiable number of murdered Unpeople – put at around 10 million so far. All for techno-theological progress and mobile phones.
So, not “what do they want” but “what do we want”? We do not know, but we want it at an ever quickening pace. As for the old stories, they are relics of a byegone age – when time was less compressed. We are on our own, clueless, unconsciously following the coercive illogic of capital accumulation and valorisation …with no end game, with the end very much in sight.
On that last point: Powell, Carnage, and Draghi have given up on QT – normalising rates and selling assets – and the ECB hit ‘print’. This ‘free’ money will destroy capitalism – and they know it. Powell testified as such before he was Chairman. Capitalism has no future and is in its death throes. We should be really worried about what comes next. Plenty of time for courage, my friend …plenty of time.
I hold indulging ‘worry’ to be a complete waste of energy and a self-undermining or taking away of ‘even the little that ye hath’, so I read your statement as a command or mind-control suggestion:
“We should be really worried about what comes next”
Fear makes its own version of reality and suffers it as true.
Is not the intended ‘progression’ – or reconfiguration to a new world ‘order’ – to be based on energy-control at both global and granular level, through the ‘Internment of Things’? Supported by mind-control of an induced and ‘normalised’ narrative-identity, set in carbon-guilt for living, and enforced by state compliance credits of sin-dispensation – without which the un-personed will suffer exclusion from life by state proscribed and socially enforced dictate under the aegis of ‘The Rebellion’ that makes right by projecting wrong.
The currently unfolding ‘Extinction Event’ is not only mind-made but mind-concealing by deceit masking as self-interest. Operating a systematically and bio-technically enforced ‘Final Solution’ on the Living, enacting mass sacrifice of self and other for ‘Survival’ of the fitting to a systemic reversal of thought.
In other words the ‘new order’ is much more efficient version of a destruction already being enacted by Big Lies, slow poison and systemic poverty – as expressions of technological progress and bio-management, (or new vectors of of a spectrum of captivity and subjection).
Energy control is the underlying intent of the forms and filters of economic and social laws, rules and mores. But before looking OUT on the world, is that not also true of the mind that thinks to judge and act upon its world as its reality? Built into our ‘mind’?
The investment of energy and allegiance to a sense of private possession and control – as replacement for Life, is the primary blueprint of the ‘Fall’ or ‘Separation’ from the qualities of Communioned being, into a divide and rule presumption of a false or ill begotten inheritance – into which life is then ‘fitted’, sacrificed, conformed and of course rejected and denied. The forms and symbols of social commonwealth or conservation can be subverted to control, but a truly shared purpose is the undoing of the lie and therefore the threat to Existence associated with private possession under control mentality.
Under power given to deceit, we unfold a future worse than that which Orwell imaged and projected into a collective expectation. But regardless of the forms they take they are equally outcomes resulting from insane predicates taken to their logical conclusion of self-administered death – for what ELSE can substitute for Life Eternal, but a will assigned to denial and separation from Life under the lie of a wish to be ‘more’ than Life so as to become ‘as gods’ in judgement OVER and apart from a Life made ‘other’?
This is the substitution of ‘getting’ in place of giving and receiving. What is ill-gotten is untrue and must be released to let the true back into awareness. Until then we suffer the anxiety of it being taken back – and see the threat in everything everywhere – as fear of losing out or being dispossesed. Which is to say we no longer see.
Energy and attention is given to thoughts, images and beliefs all the time – as the act of giving worth-ship and with-ness. The act of giving attention implies a worthiness of beholding – as having or holding meaning or reality for us. In worshipping fear (worry or anxiety) and by sacrifice of a denied and divided will to the idea of power over fear – is an ‘alien agenda’ invited to protect a mind that ‘knows not what it does’. This can also be seen as a loveless will, or an asserting imposition of mind over true willing.
Transparency to communication is the basis of a true account, as love or honouring of truth – and as natural to being as the truth of love in joy and freedom. But who opens their mind to that which is feared and believed to damn, invalidate and ‘destroy’ them? Such is the accompaniment to a sense of personal power of possession and control – that sees ‘separation AS salvation’, slavery AS freedom, and division AS being THE defence set against fear of EXTINCTION and thus the basis for blind REBELLION against the Giver of Life. All defences DO the thing they are intended to protect against – but in ingeniously complex packaging by which toxic debts are kept ‘hidden’ and given surface appeal.
The idea of progress as ‘escape from an evil past’, is the means by which the evils of the past are stamped on the face of the unfolding or arising present – such as to ensure a future that extends such a past – while SEEMING to discover new ways to become, that escape or overcome it.
True presence extends OURSELF not only as future unfoldment – but as the revisiting and redeeming or undoing of the mistakes of the past. Instead of persisting the denial of the feared and hated, we bring willingness to the uncovering of fear and hate where it can be properly addressed, located and undone. We give worth-ship by our with-ness of energy and attention. But a true worship of life extends a shared recognition, and not the manual contrivance of a mind ‘apart and alone’, that then goes forth and multiplies debts of denial – against which to ‘survive’ in the dream of prevailing to a self vindication.
Waking up to the true cost of a lie is to the unwillingness to continue to pay its due. Anything else masks a way to seem to be associated with something worthy as a means to hide our persistence in its frame from others and THERFORE from our self. We use our world to make a mind. This is backwards – and so we ‘see’ a world in which “Everything is BACKWARDS; everything is upside down! Doctors destroy health, Lawyers destroy justice, Universities destroy knowledge, Governments destroy freedom, Major media destroys information, And religions destroy spirituality”. (Michael Ellner).
Prior to the self-sense in division and conflict, and after its seeming existence falls away from lack of support, is the true of presence, known through giving and receiving as one. To be perfectly known is to be without a second and without an otherness – or in positive terms – wholly with in unalloyed and unspeakable worth.
If the choice for division has a plan to reset a new world dictate, why would choosing NOT to give allegiance there, bring chaos and loss if releasing the mind from division and subjection to fear’s division? Because rehearsing a choice through the lens of fear is to reinforce the fear that holds the lens and blocks true vision. If you see the nature of the entanglement, then you also see that ‘tidying your room’ or sweeping the Temple – is the identifying of what has no true belonging in you – and if it persists as your choice – what do you believe it gives you or that you get from choosing it – and is that true?
While banksters seek to get rid of toxic debt on the unwary, a just accounting identifies the true from the false, and releases debt from circulation as currency by owning the error and cancelling the debt – for the restoration of a true appreciation in what can truly appreciate.
There is no ‘vengeance’ in the calling to a just account – excepting the idea of ‘reaping what you sow’ as a negative expression assigning a negative intent to Law.
The only point of responsibility is in what we are sowing now. Faith in self and life must extend to others and world – but as a living quality of relational discernment and not as forms of virtue signalling over a manipulative and mutually contractual unconsciousness.

While avoiding any reference to superstition, myths or legends the worst example of low life slimeballing I’ve seen in a long while came outta the keyboard of Counterpunch editor Jeffrey St. Clair this week.
I’ve cut counterpunch a fair bit of slack over the years, when others have been angry at the neoliberal and/or reactionary tone of some of the articles Counterpunch has run, I have been more tolerant, thinking that if everyone who rates human beings far ahead of material objects agreed on everything, the places where I like to hang out at listening to other voices would be bland, boring and completely incapable of advancing the ideal of “humans before dollars” one iota.
But after reading St Clair’s column “Roaming Charges: Time is Blind, Man is Stupid” this week I have decided that without contrarian Alex Cockburn’s contributions CP has degenerated into what critics always claimed it was – an unethical project to keep a few aged pseudo-left journos in bourgeois comfort.
This is what the armchair leftie environmentalist wrote about one of the heroes of our age:
em “What’s inescapable for me, however, is the stench of Assange feeding the Seth Rich conspiracy, which was a cynical and cruel act of misdirection over the “transparency” that has always been the stated mission of Wikileaks.” em
So, according to the St Clair cynical opportunist, Julian Assange’s solitary confinement and denial of access to the internet or private phone calls didn’t prevent him from organising a conspiracy to ensnare the democrat liars who, unlike Assange, have always evaded the truth lest it impede their ability to recruit, abuse and discard young idealists during their snake-like belly crawl to power.
Doubtless there has been some sort of arrangement between CP and the DNC, an end to the mutually assisted destruction both had indulged in during the lead up to prez 2016, when CP was all over Sanders like a cheap suit and some much needed donations from dem stalwarts ceased to be forthcoming. Most recent articles on Sanders in CP are derogatory which in some ways is fair enough, unless of course you were once a major spruiker for him but you have changed from that idolatory even tho ol’ Bernie hasn’t changed at all.
Name one liberal publication in post-Clinton America that has not called on us to “stand in solidarity” with the middle class (revised to “working class” in 2016) within our capitalist state, while simply turning its back on our poverty crisis. This is just the way it is.
Spot on, UreKismet. I’ve stopped reading CP which used to be on my must-read list and I even donated to them some years ago. I also used to read the Guardian before it became a neo-con outlet. There are still a good few places on the net putting out honest informed analysis by principled peole – trouble is, not enough people are reading/watching/listening to them.
If only it were so simple. We have all been massively duped by the power elite with their controlled opposition setup in regard to Wikileaks and just about everything else you can imagine.
As soon as opposition appears (and sometimes even before if they anticipate it), the power elite insert their octopus tentacles in and around it to control it and to make a mockery of us.
Chelsea Manning is clearly an intelligence asset used as part of the power elite’s “Wikileaks” controlled opposition campaign – see analysis of her first interview after release from prison with Juju Chang, anchor of Nightline and active member of the Council on Foreign Relations
https://off-guardian.org/2019/04/17/a-marriage-of-conscience-julian-assange-and-chelsea-manning/#comment-153703 …
or just watch the 11 minute interview carefully and apply the two filters: genuine leaker and intelligence asset and see which you think fits best – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSx1VG8UnF8
The alleged video of soldiers firing on civilians is faked footage overlaid by stitched-together audio snippets (for the most part genuine of themselves but not a genuine accompaniment to the footage). When you compare the firing to the firing of another Apache helicopter killing Taliban you can see the firing is faked – see analysis with link to other Apache footage

9 downvotes but no comment arguing with my hypothesis supported by evidence. How can people justify a downvote with no argument to support it? It simply baffles me. A downvote with no argument to support it is signifies scary mindlessness, scary belief in something with nothing to support that belief except a primitive hostility to the opposing belief.
I can almost see Assange with the cross on his back and a gentleman carrying a hammer and nails from Lidl – Lidl the promised land.
With modern day apologists for Empire, Freeman, Moore, Ball and Hyde ready to hammer in the nails.
We don’t even need to draw parallels between Assange and Jesus. We did not even need for something like the vilification of a truth-teller to happen to see, to fully comprehend that we, so called humans, have not evolved, changed a tiny bit since the crucifixion of another truth teller, another messenger….
And if we continue down this road, 2000 years from now, those deluded beings that will insist in calling themselves “humans”, “advanced” and “civilized”, will crucified any other truth-teller at hand.
… This has nothing to do with religious beliefs, this has nothing to do with afterlive or miracles. Spiritual values, humanistic values are those real thing that are the only ones that can truly guide and light the road for meaningful community living cause we are all the same, we are just one…but we dont want to see the sameness, we choosed separateness…
When we choose to live by and for the material world as the focus, center and ultimate truth, descarding spiritual, real humanistic values as a burden (while pretending all the sh**** is done actually because humanistic values!!!) Then we are doom to repeat history over and over again..
Maybe worth quoting at length?
“In his book, The Cap: The Price of a Life, Roman Frister recalls how, as a 16 year-old prisoner in an Auschwitz labour camp, he was raped by a senior inmate. To conceal this misdemeanour, the higher-ranking prisoner stole his victim’s cap. This was a death sentence for the boy, who would be shot at roll call for displaying an incomplete uniform. Determined to survive this calamity, Frister exchanged his fate with a sleeping fellow inmate by stealing his unknown comrade’s cap. His most memorable emotion, when the shot rang out at morning parade, was feeling “delighted to be alive.”
Another similar story: the Russian writer and poet, Varlam Shalamov, spent 17 years in Kolyma, a gulag in northeastern Siberia where as many as three million prisoners met their deaths. Contrary to the view that hardship elicits in humans sentiments of solidarity, neither friendship nor sympathy appears to have survived the deadly conditions of Kolyma. With the human spirit all but extinguished, even that final assertion of human sovereignty the taking of one’s life eluded the reach of the prisoners. “There are times,” Shalamov later recalled, “when a man has to hurry so as not to lose his will to die.”
These two brief accounts of degraded life form the centrepiece of John Gray’s Straw Dogs, which is a provocative rejection of the philosophical principles of humanism. Central to humanism is the belief that we as a species are uniquely capable of determining our own destiny, of exercising choice and free will, and of achieving collective progress in the historical fulfilment of this capability. For Gray, as the testimonies of Frister and Shalamov appear to bear out, this belief in the irreducible moral freedom of human beings is an illusion, and what really raises human beings above their natural competitors is their unrivalled capacity for self-deception. The human subject, conceived as a unitary self capable of autonomous action and meaningful moral judgement, is one such fiction with which we have deceived ourselves. “The life of each of us is a chapter of accidents,” Gray claims, and we are no less predisposed to genocide than we are to art, medicine or prayer.”
https://newhumanist.org.uk/articles/626/john-grays-bad-faith
‘Unrivalled capacity for self-delusion’ – maybe Gray is on to something; I mean how else can we explain why so many are blind to the persecution of Assange, or the role of the MSM (especially the Guardian) in maintaining illusions designed to deflect attention from the guilty?
Harry, while the stories you refer to are not, by any means, unique. While humans are indeed capable of going into unbelievable lengths in order to survive these stories, by no means, deny that we are indeed also capable of going in the other direction, of self-sacrifice, of freely choosing not to do “unto others what have been done unto me”……
But we are, in general, to attached to this material existence as the sole and only source of truth. We live in fear, like animals running for their lives. We live submerged in instinctual behaviour…like unconscious machines, like any other animal herd…we have not been able, as a species, to trascend our bestiality and mearely cover it with a veneer of “civilization”…
In Schopenhauer’s words, transcendental choices require something that is rarely seen “the denial of the will to live”. This does not mean the denial of life, but the denial of accepting this sensorial world as the source of all….the denial of “my” life taking precedence over the life of anyone else.
But no matter, hiw rare this might be, it aftually shows that such perspective is possible, that we all have that option in us.
Perception is selective and you have chosen your witness to the image you currently assert and defend true for you. It is of course within the remit of human experience to explore every imaginable facet of its nature. But insofar as your OWN choices align and unfold consequence, are they not framed BY what we accept true – and do we not often generate the very outcomes that in hate and fear we sought to avoid?
The themes of the human drama are the archetypes of forgotten gods – but no less active in their re-enactment of the core themes of Separation (trauma).
Whatever is believed or accepted in the mind and acted from as true will run a self-reinforcing loop of experience until it is replaced with a different belief – but shape shifting evasions do not change the predicate or foundation of their forms of expression but actively keep the foundation hidden from view.
You could also seek and find witnesses for giving up one’s own for the sake of another – but not as ‘virtue signalling’ mimicry or mere socially conditioned conformity. For the truth of life we may seem to be called to sacrifice, but in truth is that not the disinvesting of illusions?
The idea of persecution in Christ was of a deepening of faith and release of the ‘world of self illusion’ to an unequivocal integrity and unaffected humility – that is not IN our personality. But the worship of grievance and offence seeks persecution in the ‘other’ as a call to hate in ‘love’s name’. For the demonised are cast (and cast out) as the way to escape or ‘outsource’ sins – and therefore penalty. That such is a false promise is to have piled up ‘treasures in hell’.
Regardless the machinations or agenda beneath anyone involved – it seems clear to me that ‘shadow power’ makes and enforces the ‘laws’ that people comply with and give at least outward allegiance to rather than be penalised with vilification, loss of social acceptance, career or of their life or that of loved ones.
Regardless of Assange’s credentials or lack of them, the psyop opportunity that would not be in the Media if it wasn’t being run – is to shut down media freedom – and as Corbett says in his take on this – (which I basically accept), in these days of internet publishing that means everyone.
The timing is always another feature to look at.
Why now?
It is possible to believe things just happen by random chance and no design is involved but that is in my view an evasive psychological denial.
As it is Easter – i’m inviting we denail our hates, fears and sins from their persecution or excommunication and recognise that they rule or filter what our mind will or will not accept or see. If we want to make truth – then this is how – but if we love truth and desire the truth of love then there are images and false devotions on the altar that seems thereby to be desecrated and laid waste – and that do not belong in the Temple or template of a living love. So – ‘tidy your room’ from a recognition that what makes a church or a real relationship is its consecration and not the outer forms.
The horrors of the human condition are unthinkable and intolerable – and yet they are thought and are lived or played out within the belief you are alone – in which the body both saves you from Totality – and damns you to frailty and destruction.
The human conditioning is the ‘other side’ of the inheritance of the Separation or Fall.
The investment in image and form identifies in opposition to God’ Will – and suffers fear of EXTINCTION and in fear makes REBELLION that then adds the dimension of irrevocable guilt or sin and the prospect of eternal damnation (nailed up and tortured BY god of vengeance (hate projection).
Over and against which even a hated life is snatched from such a fear and at any cost to anyone ‘else’.
To look upon horror and become fixated there is to stop halfway as if you have awoke. Orwell did this too.
Jesus didn’t ‘take on’ the power in the world – but gave it disregard – excepting in any of its true functions.
the law was thus fulfilled and expanded to a living love rather than made war on as a corruption of temple politics. If you seek to ‘understand’ insanity, then you give it your mind.
The idea of giving up ‘self-will’ to a Felt quality of relational being may become available BECAUSE a betrayal has been enacted in consciousness and the mind made hateful against itself. The timing and the unfolding of anyone else’s path is not under anyone else’s will. But the wish to project the hate onto the “Other’ can be so strong as to completely disempower and overwhelm.
We all all part of each other in ways that are not on surface apparent. It isn’t merely quantum particles that become ‘entangled’.
Binra:
You might have a higher message, a deeper wisdom..but your prolixity makes your writings obscure in such a way that either you have no idea what you are talking or you are talking to the wrong audience…
It is always the case that is never clear if you are talking for A, for B or for neither…or not even the last one…..
…sorry my friend….
Why ‘sorry’? For one I was not addressing what you said, but the same message you responded to.
If you have no resonance with what you read from me, it simply is not for you at this time.
But if yu have emotional reaction – maybe there is something for you in noticing that.
Those actively identified and invested in blame and vengeance will not make any kind of sense of me – nor those who are exclusively identified in the physical framing of existence.
An insane world is already a communication breakdown – but one where everyone agrees to be mad.
But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.
~ Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
And so a mind will understand or believe it understands something befitting what it thinks to know, and so its perceptions reinforce the already active belief.
It goes with the territory that stepping out of the comfort zone of the mainstream narrative consensus ‘reality’ brings an inability for communication in the old paradigm – regardless of words or phrasing. But not completely because I am extending from a place that is connected in being – regardless any defences or fences set against it.
In a world where insanity rules – there may be a reason to allow a wider range of views and voices than the current definitions and identities that arise. I wasn’t denying harry stotle his view, or that this is part of our human experience, but I felt to question or challenge its presumption to ultimacy or truth and thus its capacity to undermine our receptivity to true inspiration – under the belief there is none but ‘survival or power for its own sake’. This is what I hold to be the core belief that underlies the power struggle and misery of a world made to hide the lie.
Words can be used in so many ways as to make communication impossible – but a willingness to extend and share in a sense of worth is the establishing of a ‘channel’ in which trust can be extended and grown to a capacity for more than merely word-agreements and definition reinforcements. A relationship is a transcendent Fact – but that does not mean you have to accept it, and are free to make of me. anyone or your world, whatever meanings you want – or find support and funding for.
In a world of lies is there not a desire to know the truth? And know a freedom that lies can only fake?
‘The Truth’ is a foolish concept – but in context of my meaning I mean a capacity to recognize truth – which is a resonance with the heart of knowing and this can be readily felt to a willingness to release or rest the mind of judgement and listen in stillness. Wholeness communicates as resonance – by which the mind is reconfigured and realigned to serve or join with – as willingness for relationship from a new place or indeed a now place.
Any words for or about America’s lepers, the very poor?
In what context?
What is your desire in asking?
Thankyou.
Binra, was not an emotional reaction…just that, honestly, I can never underestand what you write, just a piece here and another there…..
I even feel dizzy sometimes reading you….but it might well just be me….
Well that response indicates you understood mine.
There are aspects to the human experience that those who have opened to, are changed and cannot go back to how they were before – but that does not mean they have ‘arrived’ at a final truth – but they may be disillusioned in some respects. These can be the extremities of pain and loss as much as those of transparency to transcendence. I have no desire to push anyone where they are not the willingness of, and not just because that only results in ‘pushback’ or failure in the reaction.
However I may seek to articulate it, I see freedom is in a recognition and not in any system of thought or belief – but note a fear of being exposed in or to a negative or malevolent intent does not want to be recognised – but to hide and remain hidden.
In all human relations we can see a tension between the desire to know and be known – that I hold to be an original nature – and the masking or hiding of who we are or who we fear others will see us as – as a learned or acquired personality or identity. This becomes the masking of a loveless agenda under narrative justifications that are predicated upon our ‘separation trauma’ and survival strategies – that have family, and cultural attributes. While many may not be aware of why I call it separation trauma – they know exactly what it is to be triggered in any of its emotional reactions.
The core of the ‘survival at any cost’ is blind terror. There are some who look upon terror and thus open freedom to look past it. Solzhenitsyn comes to mind – or Victor Frankl as people who have wrote about it – but few are interested in a freedom that is ‘on the other side of such a ‘deconstructed mind and world’ that the extremity of experience facilitated – but which I hold arises from the desire to know. The Book of Job can be seen this way also. No matter what came up, Job hung in faith of a truth that could be known – rather than fatalistically collapsing. What came through was beyond his compass, but not beyond acceptance and willingness to align in.
(Further reflecting in the Easter theme)
The unthinkable is not ruled out by forbidding, but by contradiction. To think the truth-contradicting and give allegiance there, is to open Pandora’s box of ‘unthinkable evils’. I hold evil unthinkable in the Mind of God – but we are invested in a mask, veil or substitution for true – and this IS frail, vulnerable, lacking substance and in need of allies and defence – while we take it as our self.
The framing of the mind is being brought to attention by the strategies and defences of a world gone mad – or rather unable to successfully mask its madness in believable narrative. I hold it is a logical result of insane premises, rather than a few insane people that – if regime change were effected – would solve the human condition. No matter what ‘regime’ is in place, it is effectively supported or limited and controlled by the underlying system of thought.
There is the idea in the Bible, that to pull out the tares would ruin the harvest or ‘too big to fail’. So the good and the evil grow entangled until the time of harvest – which as I understand is the Holy Spirit – of a true discernment in which the false is SEEN as false or having no substance, use or value and so falls away, is disinvested of or released from ‘service’.
The illumination or wakening of the Holy Spirit is what I see as Jesus’ teaching example. If ‘spirit is seen as purpose’ and holy is sen as whole or unconflicted – then a purpose of wholeness moves through the way made clear by willingness for light in place of investing in darkness and hiding.
Stepping beyond fear in a willingness for a truth the current mind cannot define, predict and control is the ‘fear of the unknown’ – except onto this are projected the mind’s separation trauma of largely unconscious and unthinkably hateful or terrible experience. The truly unknown is the freedom to create by the extension of worth or value – just as making a home is. It is by giving that we create – not by limiting, destruction or obstruction and coercion as a sense of power or control.
No truer words spoken. Julian should not be persecuted but equally nor should he be hagiographised … as no one should be. Both treatments are inimical to truth. It really does disappoint me how uninterested people on this site are in pursuing truth to the end, how they stop short of it because it doesn’t agree with their highly-emotionally invested-in beliefs. I’m really unattached to what the truth is, I just like to know what it is – how can I be attached when what I’ve learnt in the past 5 years has turned my beliefs topsy-turvy and then some. They’ve been put through the washing-machine and I feel in a state where any belief I hold is only waiting to be upturned. As the Off-Guardian slogan says, Because Facts Really Should be Sacred. The facts are sacred which, by definition, rules out hagiography.
Good on ya, Hugh! My ole mate Clive Kelly (Trimaran Survival; film “Raoini”) will mean summat to ya. I’m in Frankfurt.
