Sucharit Bhakdi & the prosecution of “thought crime”
Eminent and influential “covid” skeptic Dr Sucharit Bhakdi is about to be prosecuted tomorrow, May 23, under German law for:
- having incited hatred against a religious group and attacked the human dignity of others by insulting and maliciously disparaging that religious group, while acting in concert in a manner likely to disturb the public peace; and
- having publicly trivialized an act committed under the rule of National Socialism of the kind described in Section 6 (1) of the International Criminal Code in a manner likely to disturb public peace.
Now you may or may not agree with Bhakdi’s statements regarding the Jews and Israel. It’s your free right to do either.
You might think he doesn’t go far enough in condemning Israel, or you might think he goes too far. You might think he expressed himself clumsily and without due regard for the difference between Jewish people and the arguably criminal Israeli state. You might think it’s a stretch to describe modern Israel as “worse” than the Nazis, or you might think it’s more than accurate.
But all of that is missing the real point, which is – Bhakdi is being prosecuted for expressing an opinion.
That’s all.
Despite the weasel wording of the accusation, he wasn’t calling for or threatening acts of violence, he wasn’t even “acting in concert” to “disturb the peace” – he was just telling people what he thought.
The real question here isn’t do you agree with him, it’s do you, or any of us, want to live in a world in which a person can be penalized by the state, fined or put in prison, for the thoughts in their head?
For thought crime?
This is why Bhakdi deserves your support.
Because his case illustrates the real intent behind the criminalizing of selective avenues of thought. And it has nothing to do with respecting the dead or preventing another Holocaust.
In fact this, from ‘Mr Sebastian Willing’ makes it too clear what the real agenda is:
By putting the vaccination—which is demonstrably harmless—against the Corona virus on par with the Holocaust, he is belittling the genocide of the National Socialists in the 3rd Reich
As must be clear to everyone, even Mr Willing, Bhakdi does not agree the “vaccination” is “harmless”. This is his entire point. He is absolutely not belittling the genocide of the Nazis, quite the reverse, he is giving his opinion that the vax will end up being another genocide just as terrible.
This is, of course, his real crime, and the one that can never be stated, because even discussing that possibility is simply too dangerous for the agenda-managers right now.

As I recall Israel was boasting about the high percentage of their population that was vaccinated. I think it must vary greatly in different areas. From my personal conversations I’d say the uptake was very low in rural areas– except when obligatory for employment.
I took a cross-country trip Ohio to CA during late 2021 and saw very few masks except for waiters/waitresses. Conversations/questions seem to elicit self-congratulatory comments–“Nah, we don’t have much of that here.”
Walmart employees were masked, but none of the customers– until I got back to CA. Most conversations in CA indicated that although people were obliged to mask up in stores, they disagreed w the policy– most, not all.

I suppose I’ll get some flak for this, but I have to say I found his statement to be indeed naive and clumsy.
He is an adult, after all, and I find it hard to believe a man in his position could say such things (see transcript) without being well aware that all he would achieve would be to get a target the size of Ukraine painted on his back.
What he was actually criticizing will be totally ignored and forgotten by those prosecuting him.
I feel sorry for him, because I believe he is utterly sincere, but I also believe he is unusually naive.
There are ways of getting to the crux of a matter without unnecessarily inviting a well-publicized trial that will certainly be organized so as to distract everybody from that very matter.

Ronald, I think the only way to beat the system of evil government is to provide ourselves with good government. This means, at a minimum, taking the actions necessary to make elections honest. This means paper ballots publicly counted at the polling place, as well as other measures.
