Trauma Nation

Todd Hayen

We now are all suffering from acute trauma, in a trauma nation. I would venture to say in a trauma world, but I am not certain of conditions in countries such as India, Indonesia, much of the Middle East or the like. I do think the trauma I am speaking of is present in most of Europe, the UK, North America, Israel, Australia and probably in many other places. Anywhere the vaccine rollout occurred, as well as anywhere that experienced lockdowns, social distancing, school closures, etc. That leaves few places trauma-free.

What is trauma? The Oxford Dictionary defines it as a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. If this is accurate then my only response is “duh”—of course we have all been traumatized. There is no doubt that we have all experienced a deeply distressing and disturbing experience. Many experiences, in fact, over many, many years.

But have we all experienced these traumas? And have all of us experienced the same number of traumatic events, and have we all responded the same way to them? No, of course not. We are all individual human beings, and the traumas are also varied, and each has a unique impact. Let me present this idea in rather broad strokes. First, I will divide us all into two groups that each have roughly similar ideas and beliefs. You know where I am going with this, so without further ado, here they are: Sheep and Shrews. (Click on the link if you are not familiar with my sheep/shrew terminology.)

I do not think I need to spend time defining these two groups. There are of course outliers in addition to the main group—those who are quasi-sheep, those who are quasi-shrews, and those who really don’t fit into either group. But just for simplicity’s sake let’s say there are only two groups—and you and I belong in one or the other.

I will start with these two distinctions in order to say that each of these groups experience the trauma that has come to all of us in different ways. The sheep for the most part experience this trauma internally. They don’t really know what is happening. They may say, “oh my, Covid was horrible, the pandemic really affected me.” But they are only describing the fake version of the crises—the ridiculous infection rate, the ubiquitous fear of death, the ventilators, the hospitals, the lockdowns, the fake drugs, the social distancing, the masks. Vaccines coming on the scene were not part of the sheep trauma, they were actually the savior that descended from heaven to save the hoards from sure destruction. Now, for sheep, the trauma is largely over—the external fake one at least. The internal one is really just starting, but they still don’t know it.

Day after day I see psychotherapy clients who are sheep that describe depression, anxiety, listlessness, lethargy, meaninglessness, purposelessness, sadness, feeling lost, confused, on and on. Now, I have to admit, I cannot be sure if this is terribly unusual. That is typically the common complaints that come into my office, even before the Covid debacle. But it does seem to have a different quality to it. There is more of a glassy-eyed-ness to it all. Is this due to the toxins in the vaccine? Is it due to a collapsing economy, a collapsing culture, or a collapse of humanity? Is it due to the radical shift that has come in the previous three years, like ubiquitous masks, working at home, etc. “There’s something happening here . . . But what it is ain’t exactly clear . . .” (Remember that song? The next line is: There’s a man with a gun over there . . . Telling me I got to beware . . .” Oh my.)

This is sheep trauma. And sheep trauma will get worse and worse until it works its way to the surface, like a splinter that finally, after much invisible pain, works its way out. But unlike a splinter, when this trauma comes out it isn’t going to be easy to just wipe it away. It will then become conscious, like the Shrew trauma, which is mostly conscious. Is it better for the trauma to be conscious? In some ways it is, but in many ways trauma becoming conscious can be devastating.

So, on to the next group—the Shrews. We’ve got it bad folks. As if I even have to tell you that. And don’t kid yourself, this is bonafide trauma, with a capital “T”, right here in River City. I would add to Oxford’s minimalist definition of trauma, “helplessness.” It is a hallmark of serious trauma—there isn’t much you can do about it as it digs its heels in, deeper and deeper.

Our world is falling apart. Sure, it has always been tenuous. But now, it is literally falling into the ashes. Up is down, down is up, it is truly Superman’s Bizarro World. Everywhere we turn there is trauma, we’ve lost most of our friends—friends we may have had for decades. Gone. And usually gone in an ugly way. We have lost family. Same deal. Gone. We may even live in a house divided. Sheep and shrew, living together. If this is the case, you may even doubt your own sanity at times—possibly a lot of the time.

Cognitive dissonance is always a concern and pops up around every corner. People you used to trust, at least maybe a little bit, are suddenly suspicious, or downright frightening. They say one thing, you know another. Nothing seems to match up. Nearly every source of information you used to rely on is now suspect. This at first may seem like a game. It also can seem, at times, to be a relief. Now you don’t have to trust anything. You no longer have the burden of trying to figure out what to trust and what not to trust—now you don’t trust anything at all if it is in the mainstream. This means things as simple as television and magazine advertising, billboards, the labels on cereal boxes, the headlines in newspapers, the smiling woman at Costco giving out free samples. Everything gets a cocked head response from you, like what your dog does when it hears a strange sound.

I was walking through a local farmer’s market one of these past Saturdays. It was a nice sunny, crisp, fall day. There was a cool breeze, and people seemed to be happy and having a good time. Then I spotted a family of four coming toward me. A mom and dad, and two little girls, about the ages of 5 and 7. All in masks. The whole moment collapsed for me. No longer did I feel like it was a nice day, or that I was strolling along with fellow neighbors, or even fellow human beings. A feeling of threat came over me, and anger began to creep up my spine. I no longer understand these people, I no longer feel safe amongst them. They now actually present a danger to me. I am traumatized.

OK, fine, so what? Well, this gets under your skin day in and day out. We keep thinking we are going to wake up from this nightmare but like Ground Hog Day, it just goes on and on. Nothing is relieved. When you hear of a won court case then in the same moment you hear of a shrew arrest. When you see a nice commercial about happy smiling people and giggling infants, within the same minute you will see beheaded babies in Gaza. Neither one of these images is trustworthy, nothing is trustworthy. The whole world has gone to hell.

That is trauma.

What makes it worse is our isolation. Shrews are definitely not the majority group. And even though we hear there are indeed many of us, it doesn’t really seem that way, in reality. Where are all of the shrews? They are around, of course, but we don’t yet have regular, and local, meeting places where we can gather and talk, and argue, and share, and love each other. We need to start creating this for ourselves. We are not only isolated as humans, but we are isolated because we have no connection with anything out there that isn’t pure SHEEP. Everything we see, hear, and read, is SHEEP. The world accommodates sheep, like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers pod world—you can’t tell who or what is ours. It all revolves around the vaccinated, the sheep, the followers, the blind. We are left behind. We live in a trauma nation.

I can definitely identify at least two non-traumatized types.

The first reacting, “Not this fucking bullshit again.” Becoming angry and disgusted, “radicalized,” but ending up obsessed like the “traumatized.” I don’t think the shrink sees too many of those types in his practice.

The second also reacts, “Not this fucking bullshit again,” laughs, goes to the frig, gets himself a beer, while humming, “The future’s uncertain and the end is always near.” The shrink will never see this type walk into his office.

“Cognitive dissonance” indeed…

The Tavistock Institute’s shock doctrine, the playbook for control of the minds of the masses (via fear).
1) Take a crisis or create one (either way)
2) Ratchet up the fear (through their control of the whoreporate media outlets, governments, agencies. and NGOs.
3) Bring (impose) their solution and resolution.

Same as it ever was, just slicker thanks to AI/tech.

Hermann Göring said much the same at Nuremberg trials: “It works same way for any nation.” [OWTTE]

Only USA Inc certainly seems to apply that process with a wild abandon, and even more covertly than the urNazis.

But probably not those today afoot in “The Homeland” [see: Vaterland].

The Oxford English Dictionary I’m looking at right now defines “trauma” as follows

Psychoanalysis and Psychiatry. A psychic injury, esp. one caused by emotional shock, the memory of which is repressed and remains unhealed; an internal injury, esp. to the brain, which may result in a behavioural disorder of organic origin. Also, the state or condition so caused.

First used in 1894 by William James: Certain reminiscences of the shock fall into the subliminal consciousness, where they can only be discovered in ‘hypnoid’ states. If left there, they act as permanent ‘psychic traumata’, thorns in the spirit, so to speak.

Seen in people who survived genocidal attack in childhood. I have seen it in an elderly Jew, and Palestinian psychiatrists report it in children after Israeli raids. Children of the children in Gaza will live to see it erupt in their grandparents.

What is trauma? Well, I was hoping to go Sailing with Wife, Son and Grandkids in July 2023, then Sinéad O’Connor dropped dead, which with the rest of everything really upset me…by Friday morning…I had lost almost all my energy…I really struggled to get downstairs..My wife phoned 999 – need an ambulance – the paramedics two pretty girls turned up first …in their fast car….so I tried to make out I was OK…then the Ambulanceman turned up…and it was me being blue lighted to hospital. The girls suspected…but the Ambulance Man got in one….He phoned ahead..We need to get this man to the front as quickly as possible..Probable SEPSIS…and I hadn’t been jabbed or anything…and they were all fussing over me in RESUS Ward…Anti-biotic Drips, Electronics stuck on my extremely ho and sweaty chest measuring my heart and every 30 minutes blood pressure test and oxygen mask it was not… Read more »

No Hezb missiles near us yet, unlke the random missile that fell on Tivon field from Hamas down South. Hezb is concentrating on IDF targets up North, with very accurate and powerful Iranian missiles.. Israel has lost a lot of high level installations — ie battlefield communication centres — as well as the usual armoured hardware but not many soldiers so far.

The face diaper/nappy has become the symbol of demonic obedience to fake authority. These people have undoubtedly been vaxxed with the bioweapon to the max and most will, in time, receive their just rewards for their ignorance and gullibility. Unfortunately, where I live in SW Mexico, I know many of these people and most are fundamentally decent and even empathic. I refuse to feel traumatized when I see them or even their face diapered children, but I must admit that the word maskhole does come to mind. Since a primary effect of the bioweapon is sterility of jabbed children who survive to sexual maturity, the vast majority of these children will be unable to reproduce. The so-called Darwin Award. However, people are catching on to the global war on humanity in droves. Just take a look at the relatively tiny uptake of mRNA/DNA fragmented plasmid/SV40 promoter poisons entering the bloodstream… Read more »

Separation trauma is not fundamentally at body level (or the mindset of adaptation to that level). But is of Separation from Self, Life, Existence. or rather- of FEAR of such separation made ‘real’ in our mind by masking defences against truth FEARED – which is only possible in CONCEPT. However, our experience of our self & world (each other) has all the power or reality we give it, un-knowingly as the attempt to escape or overcome its inherent conflicts and contradictions. Re-presented to us as the human condition, the mortal experience, of a timeline running blind to true nature. There are many ways to share reflections to the regaining or re-acceptance of truth as true, such as to undo or release the lie & the father of it, by which we are deceived – even as we think to gain of fictions seeking to become real. But image & form… Read more »

Not so, in point of fact. Any human power as such (as these, as TPTB) can only be changed by God, if thru human “agents of Grace.”

It may seem like semantics to some, but in fact it is an all~~important distinction, for those who understand it deeply, enough..

One way to channel our rage against this monstrous plot to traumatize us with predictive programming and murderous psyops in ‘Trauma Nation’ is to tell the truth to as many as we can. And one way to do that is by passing out brochures, especially anonymously because doing it openly with sheep invites conflict and stress that we don’t need more of. These brochures can be emailed anonymously or even left in places surreptitiously or inconspicuously.   And you can mail them—even anonymously–to friends, acquaintances and others for whom you can find a mailing address. Mailing anonymously to some may help to overcome the cognitive dissonance many have, because without knowing who sent it the recipients can then more easily absorb the content rather than conjure up old baggage or judgments from the past concerning the sender.   Passing out brochures can be a ‘radical’ way to reach others. Especially… Read more »

A physical brochure [warning against The Vaxx] is not the same as a brain-fatiguing email”.

It might be eye-fatiguing. Though I love the feel of a printed book, most of my reading nowadays is electronically printed in large characters on a 60x30cm screen.

But all means of communication help. I often think of Sophie Scholl showering pamphlets down on a meeting of academic sheeple in Nazi-controlled Germany. They didn’t do as much to stop the Nazis as Stalin’s tanks did, but they helped. And surely “somewhere on a star” every bit of “right thinking and right doing” is recorded.

Yes, Sophie Scholl! And her compatriots who died because they passed out leaflets. Better to die young (as a free person) FIGHTING for freedom than to live a long life as a slave. But if death is the consequence of passing out leaflets publicly, then—note to self: consider passing them out anonymously yet be ready to really, truly, RESIST if cornered. Good point re the tiny typeface in my printable brochure. I do, though, indeed also advocate sending brochures via email which of course can utilize larger type. I personally am sending many of these emails or via postal anonymously to many of my old contacts because there would inevitably be arguments and vitriol from some and I choose not to deal with those individuals. Handing the brochures to those ‘strangers’ I strike up conversation with means they will read it at home and I won’t have to deal with… Read more »

It could also be biblical, talk is the plan is to force the Palestinians over the border and into the Sinai desert to live in tents. This would violate the 1978 Peace accords and begin to sever relations with one Arab country at a time until as the Muslim religion steps in as a whole to treat the Israel nation as they treated the Palestinians.

Should it occur, it would not only be biblical, it would be ironic by the spelling of words, a trap set by the gods and sprung by time its self.

“the plan is to force the Palestinians over the border”

Correction; for “is” read “was”. Plan scuppered by Egypt and Jordan refusing to connive in the further displacement of Palestinians from Palestine. Israel’s neighbours previously absorbed millions of DPs from the 1948 ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Jewish armed forces. The people of Gaza are the descendants of Palestinian refugees from 1948. They have been denied a 50/50 Palestinian State alongside a Jewish State which the UN envisaged in 1947. Time for Rest of the World to deliver on that promise before Israel gobbles up the pitiful last remnants of Palestine. .

Then set up a state called Palestine same as it has been called for 2500 years. And let Israel make compensation for the damage to people and property and the lost rent due to displaced Palestinians on those parts of the Holy Land that Israel has grabbed and disgraced over the past 75 years.

Palestine and Israel are not just 2 little countries. Palestine is the focus of 2 great religions: Christianity and Islam. Which is the main reason why pain in little Palestine reverberates through a large part of the world.

Israel is the focus of a great religion with few adherents — Judaism — and a colossal business interest with an intense concentration of wealth — Anglo Zio Capitalism. They can afford to pay compensation to Palestine.

There were those who said “We’re all Palestinians now” in 2021 when they were treated like second-class citizens.

They got over it in no time, though.

And now we have those who warn us about ‘future’ dystopia for our dainty little selves, and invite us to be wary of being too moved about those who have been living with lockdowns and passes for decades.

So, an attitude of gratitude expands it.

“Then I spotted a family of four coming toward me. I am traumatized.”

Perceiving this as a traumatic event maybe is an over-reaction.

Same here for me in Israel.

This country is full of people who are currently undergoing or who have undergone, real trauma: elderly Jews who survived genocide in childhood and whose mental trauma broke out in middle age; young Palestineans who are surviving genocide now and whose mental trauma may break out when their own children are adults. But in the years between their feelings and actions seem to me largely positive.

This is not to deny the emotional suffering of genuine clinical depression. But “American mental trauma” sounds to me like another health fad — something to fill an emotional void left by the imminent decline in Fat Fobia.

Back during (?Ferguson’s) SARS pseudo-scare 20 years ago there were a helluva lot of lames around here, SoCal, wearing masks.

Context was different though and their treatment by others was different.

The odd thing was that with the grotesque fiascos of 9/11 we had just been through an odd season of being accosted in banks by pushy bankster reps if we wore sunglasses or hats or masks etc and were told to immediately remove them or leave.

The past 20 years have had these odd seasons that bring to mind mostly canine obedience school, as adapted for hapless humans.

The lack of groups with kindred souls is a problem indeed. How do you find them? I’m involved in a couple of groups and there may be some semi-sheep or semi-shrews, depending on glass half full / half empty reasoning, but these don’t dare to speak up, being surrounded by full-blown sheep. Thank you thank you thank you. I am feeling traumatized today. I had to go to a large grocery store and a shopping plaza home goods store and they felt DEAD. The people were walking around like zombies. The stuff they were selling felt like a fake, glittery, plastic antithesis of what I remember Christmas feeling like. I had some things to buy but couldn’t bear to stand in the line with the zombies so I put everything on a table and left. It felt like escape. As I drove home, I thought that there wasn’t a soul I could share this with. So just sharing this here is a bit of a relief.

It’s a tough period to go through when you’ve stood back far enough and had a good hard look at the world. Infants and the immature run the show it seems. There’s a lot of goodness in the world and a lot that works and functions. But the overall system is desperate and immature, petty and frightened. If governments and corporations, the media and institutions lead our world then we’re lead by insanity and insecurity. There’s 3 states to be in – blissful ignorance, like the sheep, waking horror at the insanity all around…and the 3rd state which I’d like to get to…wisdom, understanding and the ability to govern your thoughts and actions with compassionate knowing. Unfortunately, I’m still ignorant of so much and I’m still horrified at what I do see.

Martha, I felt the exact same way last week in a small upscale mall that I have been going to for years.
I was astounded. Practically no shoppers at all. Very quiet. Not the usual holiday atmosphere AT ALL.
I hate the commercialization of Christmas over the past 25 years, but it was really eery to so few people, and so many empty stores.
I have shopped at this mall, and it’s predecessor since a child. We loved going there at the holidays just to see the lights, see Santa etc.
When the mall upscaled they had a pianist every day and night for the holidays playing on a lovely grand piano.
Gone.
I have said it for the past 4 years – They have sucked the life out of life.

Thank you for sharing. You’re not alone.

I feel your pain! Here’s a variation on what I believe is the same trauma: In October, I attended mu nephew’s lovely wedding out of town. The Philadelphia Phillies–a major league baseball team, in case anyone doesn’t know already– were in the playoffs. I haven’t really followed professional sports since my teens (I’m 68), but since we’re from Philly, evidently all of my relatives were excited about this. So, on two consecutive evenings, I found myself sitting in my sister and brother-in-law’s hotel suite (half) watching the playoff games on the humongous flatscreen TV mounted on the wall; various relatives came in and out and watched the game too. BTW, I still use my late mother’s old 27″ Zenith TV, so I’m not accustomed to wall-sized screens. Tenere: Latin: to hold / clutch / grasp.

Tenacious. Tenacity.

No, we have not “all sinned against the almighty”. That’s merely false doctrine, false dogma, and lapped up foolishly by all the immensely gullible, brainwashed ‘christians’ on planet Earth. We’ve not all fallen for the BS of ‘christianity.

No, we many millions of properly-informed Spiritualists around the world are NOT ‘controlled by ‘satan'”. Spiritualism is (as I’ve said before…) the one and only ‘religion’ that is able to absolutely prove what it states. And I’m not using the word ‘prove’ either loosely or wrongly. A day will most definitely arrive for all ‘christians’ when they will have to face what (for them…) will be an immensely unpalatable fact: that when on Earth (this time round… for reincarnation is also a known spiritual truth), they were well and truly duped. They will have to face that when they were a ‘christian’, they possessed no critical thinking skills. You will all discover, one day, that ‘christianity’ truly was nothing but superstition, originating in paganism. Carry out some scholarly research, and you, too, would be in possession of that knowledge. But ‘christians’ don’t carry out any scholarly research… they merely ‘blindly… Read more »

Turn to God. I do not disagree.

But while we wait for God, God waits for us.

We are the agents of God’s will. It is upon us to act, not be passive in wait of miraculous intervention.

It is up to us, with His help.

Trauma is a prerequisite for mind control and social engineering.

This is one of the reasons great cultural transformations happen after major wars and other traumatic events.

-> The flapper 20’s after WW1 (sexual/social revolution 1.0).

-> The beatniks and hippies after WW2 (sexual/social revolution 2.0).

-> LGBTQRST after 9/11 (sexual/social revolution 3.0).

-> X? after Covid.

In an experiment, subjects were given a message under (a) normal conditions, and (b) after a painful pinch. Retention of that message was significantly higher after the pinch. (Don’t remember the specifics, but this was the gist.)

Tavistock perfected the Trauma-Mind Control mechanism with experiments on shell-shocked soldiers during and after WW1.

My father, a BH 90210 attorney, asked me to witness a will at his manse when I was twelve,1964. He told me he was going to give me a pretty hard whack on the back of my hand with a stick so that I wouldn’t forget the moment.

And I never did. Stands out in sharp relief.

Mind Kontrölle [the MK in Ultra] has become the NWO weapon of choice so it’s truly important to understand all their basic techniques. A very rewarding study in terms of awareness, modern style.

Human frustration and despair at the world comes out of a sense that there is nothing you can do, or even nothing that can be done to stop the evil.
This is true if we are thinking of self and of man, but it’s not true of God.
For God sees all and can do all.
I reckon God is wondering how bad things need to get before people turn to Him.
When you do, you are best able to change the world for the better. Those anointed in Christ can cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead.

Speaking from a background of 35 years diagnosing skin and it’s pathology (though I think receptionists in various businesses are often better at picking out smokers) . I think the vaxxed are starting to become visible; just as some people are adept at identifying smokers, they could be identified by their facial skin, Think it is now starting to become evident in the vaxxed complexion, it is similar to the changes in smoker’s facial skin, but less ‘yellow’ and more ‘aged’.

Thanks for that testimony. More readers are reporting damage and deaths from The Vaxx. Hasn’t happened to my vaxxed wife or kids or grandchildren yet, thank God; but a niece developed menstrual problems, and a nephew-in-Law developed myeloma.

During three years of Con-19 I used to ask people I met: Do you know any family member or close friend who died of Covid-19?”. None of them had; even though Health Officials were “registering” millions of cases of “Covid-19”. Yet here on this thread about Trauma are 3 people whose friend and/or family member died of Vaxx (or “after Vaxx” — for Deniers who insist on inane pedantry).

So: the whitefolk are categorically sheep or shrews: and the non-white Rest? Let us be reminded once again that the “Great-White-Male-Christian” world extracts the politically privileged ‘good life’ (bios politikos) from the non-white Rest who are permanently excluded as reduced to the “bare life minimum” of life (zoe); inhabiting, as they do, a permanently impoverished “deathworld” administered by a particularly militant market-economic reason. Thus: it is the “Great-White-Male-Christian” consumer sovereign who decides who lives or who dies by consummate shopping; never more banal as self-evidential evil-doing than on “Killable Black Friday”; or whenever life-itself is permanently discounted. This structural materialism is at the same time structurally racist and structurally militarist – MLK’s “Triple Evil” – as a structurally nihilist apartheid administering of white standards of living produced by non-white standards of dying. As a necropolitical “vitae necisque potestas” – necropower over life and death – our living prosperity is maintained… Read more »

Finger-pointing and cherry-picking, “our own power of undoing” is of course e.g. Open Borders, and resulting insecurity in any Western country is “mere” penance for centuries of oppression.(Btw, as consumerist white shopping is at fault, should there not be a ban on successful immi-vaders in the USA and EU doing any shopping too? or is the plan rather for the whitefolk to stop as part of their penance? how to enforce this, I wonder How about… Read more »

Your article really captures the isolation and despair of it all. I endured various tragedies over the years, but still maintained a cheerful mostly happy life in New York. When this happened I abandoned most of my social life and connections and went underground because the arts, entertainment and culture were intolerable. Through my work I had to constantly listen to people complaining about people like me. That was a tad punishing… How does it go from get vaxxed get free french fries to get vaxxed or lose your job, friends and/or family with virtually no one acknowledging the absurdity of it all? All these years later, I’m still hiding out for fear of losing my ability to support myself. I moved to a far flung part of NYC – a beach town – to get away from the cult. And, to this day, when I see a masked person… Read more »

Yes, let’s bring back white heterosexual people!! Especially males. Like the Doctors in the smoking advertisements in the sixties. I think Lucky’s were there “safe” favorite. In between commercials with white people living wonderful heterosexual white lives, we could watch the old white news. Like white males with big fire hoses and German shepard dogs hosing black people (remember what they used to call them before they became approved? wink wink) in the good ole United States of America. Home of the free and the brave if you were white heterosexual. Or a few assassinations. Nothing like a good white heterosexual shooting or two. Or three. Who’s counting. I hold that against the people who are pushing that idealogy. The same people who pushed covid, vaccines, war, sustainability and everything else that keeps them fat and happy. (to use an expression) While the rest of us – miscreants all – keep fighting each other. Yes, the world has changed. Yes, it has become horribly sadly frustratingly dumbed down in all aspects. ( Don’t get me started on black leggings and their progeny. Worst thing that ever happened to women’s fashion. But I digress.) To now include all people who live in this world in advertisements is not the problem. It’s a reflection of reality. Everybody buys products. Not just white heterosexuals. And I am serious about deaf… Read more »

Uk tv adverts are wildly disproportionate.

If there was a black couple with black kids, a brown couple with brown kids or, heaven forfend, a white couple with white kids and a mix of various races spread around just like the real world, who could complain.

That’s not how it is.

EVERY tv. ad is mixed race.

OK, but imagine how everyone who was not white, at least in the USA, felt in the fifties sixties seventies into the eighties and nineties when everyone on commercials was white heterosexual. I mean come on.
Even now, commercials are not a reflection of life for many many people – who again, are all consumers.
I just find it interesting and rather humorous.

In 99 I drove a psychiatrist from Cleveland International Airport to his hotel, which is close to a half hour so we had a chance to talk and it was very engaging because his wife was also a psychologist who specialized in ADHD which at the time in the 90s was burgeoning as a new business. He was one of the few who clearly understood what I meant when I say I talk by default mode more than I listen, hard to remediate, because it’s exponentially easier to keep on track subject-wise due to extreme ADHD, a lifelong affair. He finished my sentence before I could, saying, “Yes it’s so much easier for you to focus that way.” Apparently he had exchanged a lot of info with his wife in following her specialty. But true to form I digress: he had first introduced himself as someone who specialized uniquely in… Read more »
