Today, in about eight hours, NASA will be launching their Artemis II mission, the first manned rocket to circle moon and come back to Earth in fifty years. The next step, penciled in for 2028, is to land people on the moon an Artemis IV.
Then they’re going to build a lunar base.
The press are calling it “historic”, which is perhaps an odd way to describe something that has, according to official sources, been done before, the last time by Apollo 13, five decades ago and as the result of an accident.
As Iain Davis observed on X, we have allegedly played golf and driven dune buggies on the moon, so calling just flying past it one more time “historic” is rather odd.
Perhaps the use of the word “historic” pertains to the crew, which is so delightfully diverse it boasts both the first woman, first person of colour and first non-American to go beyond Earth’s orbit.
Of course, it’s commonly held – and the number of people who believe it seems to be growing – that no one has ever gone to the moon before, which makes this a very interesting discussion.
After all, we do live in the age of the fake-out, and a fake Artemis moon-project would certainly be a nice distraction right about now.
You can also argue technology has unquestionably improved since the paper and Scotch-tape LEM made its first brave venture.
But does that make this new moon mission more likely to be fake than the previous ones, or less?
What do you guys think?
- Do you believe we have been to the moon before?
- Do you think Artemis is more genuine than Apollo, or less? Or are they both outrageously bogus?
- Will we walk, or re-walk, on the moon by 2030?
- Will they really build a Lunar Base?
- Is it at all relevant they’re launching on April Fools Day?

I know rocket fuel isn’t the same as petrol, diesel and natural gas but while the world is starting to ration fuel in some countries and others are being primed for fuel and energy rationing these clowns are about to burn a load of rocket fuel claiming to travel around the Moon on a jolly.
Meanwhile back on Earth us plebs won’t even be able to travel to the shops. Taking the piss…or what.
Anyway, here is what Buzz had to say years later about the first “…one giant leap for mankind”
Before I can answer whether anything flies to the moon, I want to know how big the moon is and what the distance between the moon and Earth is.
It is claimed to be 300,000 km, but I want to see proof of that.
Furthermore, I want to see proof that a rocket can fly outside the atmosphere.
For now, I will stick to inflatable rockets that appear to take off for show.
I don’t think we ever went to the moon. But even if we had, who the fuck can possibly care about this massive news turd?
It’s funny in a way. I had an old English teacher (actually Canadian) who told us in horror how he got his daughter out the bath to see the earlier “moon landing” and she said, “You got me out the bath for that?” And she wasn’t alone. The sentiment was: Why are they flushing all that money down the drain to fly across the void to a chunk of rock?
One of the biggest impediments to believing the Apollo moon shot was the Van Allen Radiation belts which surround the earth. These are very high level solar radiation and it is not likely that humans could pass through them without severe radiation sickness. The skin of the spacecraft is totally inadequate to block the rays. It would take a lead shield of a foot thick to block them.
Radiation can also disrupt and destroy the electronics of a space craft.
For the Artemis missions, NASA is simply downplaying the Van Allen Belts. It says Artemis will go through them so fast that human spacemen/women won’t get very much radiation exposure. They claim they have radiation proofed the electronics.
Is this believable? All other space missions have remained below the Belts. For sure, we will never be told the truth on this.
I wouldnt do it, even if they paid me.
Fake fake fake. The Apollo missions were called out by one their own before they even blasted off and the whistle blower was subsequently charred. Many at the time made conspiracy hobbies pointing out flaws. They’ve waited until now because the “ai” is ready for the job.
It’s a covid story, a WMD story, a nonsense story, that people cling to for a reason that (IMO) is aptly described in Dave Mcgowan’s Moondoggie
‘ It’s not being lied to about the Moon landings that people have a problem with, it is the realization that comes with that revelation: if they could lie about that, they could lie about anything.’
Very true
Deffo fake, everyone knows that the moon is made of cheese……too soft and messy to land on.
All fake. On this substack you’ll find lots of technical information that makes all the previous moonlandings rather dubious.

Excellent info in link thanks – also I’d forgotten about the erased Nasa tapes, of the moon walks in 1969.
No matter what you say, I will continue to believe in my government, and NOT in your conspiracy theories.
I don’t know which article on that substack you’ve read. But I’ve read a lot about technological facts less about theories. Why “believe” in your (? – I think you got that the other way around…) government, if you can verify facts? I think that’s a more prudent path to knowledge.

I don’t even see the point of the Artemis II mission, the Artemis III mission is meant to go into a low moon orbit, and then Artemis IV, is meant to land on the moon, and set up moon base – no one needs to be on the Artemis II module for its not landing – a slingshot around the moon is the plan, so no, I don’t believe that any humans are on Artemis II.
As for humans landing on the moon, well…Bart Sibrel summed it up nicely in the below article.
Lunar landing denier: We never went to the moon
Of course we all know Nixon sitting in his oval office – took a call from Aldrin and Armstrong who were walking on the moon at the time, (1969) and if you believe that – I’ve got a bridge that I can sell you.
