Coronavirus Update: Following the money
Kit Knightly
The Coronavirus is still the big-ticket news item, with confirmed cases now covering 11 countries. ELEVEN!
Most of the mainstream media are doing that, saying the number of countries rather than the number of people. I suppose because it carries the implication that, somehow, everyone in all those 11 countries is under some kind of imminent threat.
As of the time of writing, the real (or at least reportedly real) numbers stand at 1407 cases, 41 deaths. Which means the mortality rate is now actually below 3%.
For comparison’s sake – the death rate of the Ebola virus is 90%, Bubonic plague 40-60%, Smallpox was ~30%, and the 1918 Spanish flu between 10 and 20%. So we’re hardly dealing with a big-hitter here.
Even the hysterical-nothing burger that was SARS had a (reported) death rate approaching 10%. [For more on the links between SARS and the Wuhan outbreak see John Rappoport’s excellent work on the subject].
For anyone doubting that, whatever the truth of the situation on the ground, this is being hyped to spread fear: The Guardian has a big red “LIVE BLOG” for the disease today. Counting up the death toll very slowly, and with what I would call a rather unseemly amount of enthusiasm.
China are building a whole new hospital, we’re being told. There are “bodies in the streets”, apparently:

The Daily Mail is reporting that an Australian research team is “racing against the clock” to engineer a vaccine. The researchers claim it will take them 6 months (a very fast turnaround for vaccine development, which usually takes years).
If the disease carries on its current trajectory, by the end of that six months roughly 7200 people will have been infected, around 250 of whom will have died.
In the same timeframe, about 15,000 people will have been injured in car accidents, and around 900 of them will have died…in the UK alone.
Based on that, you could argue the resources poured into the “race against time” would be better spent inventing stronger seat-belts or funding an anti-drink driving campaign.
After all, any good this hypothetical vaccine might do needs to be off-set against the potential dangers of injecting thousands – even millions – of people with a vaccine that will have had no long term safety studies whatsoever.
Of course, the Daily Mail doesn’t mention that.
Another thing The Daily Mail doesn’t mention is that the vaccine being developed by Queensland University is a cooperative project with Philadelphia-based Inovio Pharmaceuticals, who received a grant of $9 million to combat the Wuhan outbreak.
A second pharmaceutical firm, Co-Diagnostic Inc, has received a similar grant to develop a coronavirus “screening test”.
Inovio previously hit the headlines a few years ago, when they received a grant to create an anti-Zika vaccine (something they managed to do in less than six months).
The grants were distributed by the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), an NGO that promotes global vaccination and is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (among others).
Inovio’s stock jumped 12% when it was announced they had been commissioned to manufacture the vaccine, whilst Co-Diagnostic’s stock almost doubled in value following the news :
[Co-Diagnostics Inc.’s stock] nearly doubled (up 80%) to a one-year high. Trading volume shot up to 36.1 million shares, compared with the full-day average of about 161,000 shares.
But that’s just the beginning. The CEO of Co-Diagnostics sees a much bigger windfall down the line (our emphasis):
Chief Executive Dwight Egan said in a statement that if the World Health Organization declares the illness a global health emergency, he believes Co-Diagnostics would be in position to “quickly assist” in providing its test to the affected countries.
Note the bolded.
Whatever else is going on, however real or otherwise this “outbreak” proves to be, “if the WHO declare a global health emergency”, some people are going to make a lot of money.

Public enemy No.1 today is the media.
We get a narrative from them, no longer actual news.
I suppose we succumbed in 1950s Britain, when we decided to tolerate “Persil washes whiter”, and “Now hands that do dishes can be soft as your face”.
After that, it was easy for them.
Class society has always had to create an ideology that keeps the masses compliant. It goes back a lot further than that, at least to the priests of ancient Sumeria who dreamed up the first pantheon (a hierarchy of gods implying there must be a hierarchy among people).
I quite agree.
I was referring to the beginnings of the modern mainstream media’s stranglehold on our society.
Many saw through TV advertising from the start as an insult to decent people’s intelligence, and I remember my father detested it.
The trouble is, many also refused to detest it for the abomination which it truly is, and accepted it as a harmless part of their daily lives.
The time has truly come for a rethink on that, as of course on a multitude of other things…
Your Chance of Developing Symptoms or Dying From the Menacing Coronavirus That Now Threatens Global Human Populations Is 0.0000017482% Symptoms/0.0000001137% Death This according to lewrockwell.com https://www.lewrockwell.com/2020/01/bill-sardi/your-chance-of-developing-symptoms-or-dying-from-the-menacing-coronavirus-that-now-threatens-global-human-populations-is-0-0000017482-symptoms-0-0000001137-death/ The article tells us that: Yep, the coronavirus is just a common virus that infects your nose, sinuses and upper throat and produces the same symptoms as a cold. But the fear that is being spread by public health authorities and the news media would make one think the earth is in the middle of a historic human pandemic. The Coronavirus that is menacing human populations around the globe right now is an RNA virus that is “enveloped” so it resists eradication by one’s own immune system. In a very few subjects who are immune compromised, such as patients taking drugs for autoimmune disorders (Cyclosporine, Prednisone, Methotrexate, Imuran), or youngsters who have undeveloped immunity, or others who are old and have weak immune systems… Read more »

Probably unrelated… but still Bayer could use a boost in selling eg vaccines for corona virus, otherwise the stocks might go down.
Recently glyphosate was discovered in a number of vaccines in the USA, presumably there as an adjuvant. Between them, glyphosate and the neonicotinoids are liquidating the planet’s microbiota and arthropods, wherever they are used. Climate change and habitat loss is getting the rest.
Glyphosate is also an antibiotic.
China’s New Coronavirus: An Examination of the Facts
By Larry Romanoff, January 25, 2020
The Western mass media have discussed the new corona virus that began in the city of Wuhan in Central China but, apart from repetitive small details and the inevitable China-bashing, not much light has been shed on the circumstances. My initial commentary here is composed from a medley of nearly 100 Western news reports, primarily ABC, CBS, CNN, AFP, and from some Chinese media. Officially called the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), the contagion is a respiratory illness, a new type of viral pneumonia, in the same family of infections as SARS and MERS.

Your number for the mortality rate of bubonic plague is wrong. I suspect you are confusing it with the Great Mortality, which had such a mortality rate. Bubonic plague typically infects two to three thousand people a year and kills a less than two hundred.

Inside the Chinese lab poised to study world’s most dangerous pathogens
Could be coincidence, just like “Novichok” was next to Porton Down. Chance of how many %?
I doubt that the Chinese have a lab, such as MOSSAD possesses at Nes Ziyyona, near Tel Aviv, where unfortunate Palestinians are used for lethal testing of chemical, biological or radioactive (ie Po 210 etc)compounds for future assassination operations.
It is the MSM’s job to keep the people in a state of anxiety, using any/every form of ‘threat’ that becomes available, and Coronavirus is just the latest. We’ve had “Year 2000 bug”, Bird flu, Bat flu, swine flu, Ebola virus, Horse flu, Zika virus, Blah Blah Blah, and if that’s not enough, give them “Weapons of Mass Destruction”, Chemical Weapons, Chlorine bombs, blah blah blah, and I’m sure that the next threat will be Really Really worse.
Just remember that the Western Mainstream Media is run by people like Rupert(what’s his name?) and about 6 or 7 other “Media Companies”…..Whose job it is, is to “KEEP YOU FRIGHTENED”……..and, they are VERY GOOD at it.
Bullshit is everywhere these days…….Be aware….
The concern over the Y2k bug was justified. The real possibility that it would cascade through chains of unpredictable faults, arising from the bug’s fully known cause and effects, through multiple interconnected systems did occur, but the chains were generally broken after a few hops. There was no certainty that they would be, especially as a machine which had perfectly designed hardware and/or firmware date rollover processes could, nevertheless, be brought down by software that did not. Like my own personal expenses and double entry bookkeeping program that required a fix from its author before anything would balance. In fact thousands of systems world wide did have problems, a few hundred of them operating in critical commercial or infrastructure applications, some of which had serious and/or costly repurcussions. So many baseless opinions, so little technical understanding.
Rubbish! Y2K was yet another gigantic scam.
To a considerable extent, yes, but just who were the scammers? Had you thought about reformatting your post in UPPER CASE to make SHOUTING louder a mindless proposition enhancer and thus proof against reason? I once knew a 100% code plagiarist who did just that to beat meetings into stunned silence. Everyone else just wanted their ears to stop ringing.
People who used Microsoft products, that’s who
I wrotescammers. Do you know the English language difference between scammers and scammed?
If so, what difference does their OS make? If not, WRONG AGAIN: people who used then current, licensed Microsoft operating systems using then current Microsoft applications, both set up in default configuration, were generally well protected. People using third-party applications (as I did, running third party accounting software under a Microsoft OS on a dual boot MS/NetBSD system, to maintain output-format compatability with our then accountants’ Microsoft systems) may or may not have problems, as I did, depending on any of several factors from the third-party’s incompetence to the presence of the Y2k bug in one of the libraries or the compiler they used).
If you don’t know what you are talking about, why talk about it, especially in the form of definitive statements? Other than for reasons of childish ego?
@robbobobbobobbobooooo —that is total bullshit and if you were any kind of real geek you’d know that. Programming a date workaround could be done by a high school IT class in about ten minutes. Quit hoovering up normie fear porn
I understand the problem of the 2000 bug and of how it could have had disastrous effects. However I don’t recall much catastrophe reporting when the 9s turned to 0s. Considering how the media were going on about it, I would have thought that the “thousands of systems” affected would have been reported. It seemed the dampest of New Year squibs.
blockquote>I understand the problem of the 2000 bug and of how it could have had disastrous effects. However I don’t recall much catastrophe reporting when the 9s turned to 0s. Nor do I. Effectively, there were none. But that’s partly because the word “catastrophe” sets a very high bar; many of the potential governmental and corporate glitches were obviated by pre-emptive fixes and those that weren’t went unreported in the cause of business practice and/or an absence of ongoing MSM interest. However, as Damian Carrington noted in a slightly more nuanced BBC report [1]* Firstly, there were actually plenty of Y2K problems. They did not involve nuclear missiles accidentally launching or stock markets crashing into techno-meltdown, but they were genuine Y2K problems nonetheless. The millennium bug was real. Some verged on the serious, like the glitches that hit the Japanese nuclear power plants and the US military satellite. But most… Read more »

the word “catastrophe” sets a very high bar
I would say the word “catastrophe” sets a very low bar in this climate of fear mongering. Since the nightmare scenarios predicted about Y2K didn’t happen, you’d think the media would at least try to save face by telling us every glitch that happened. But perhaps by that time, they were too eager to move on to other “catastrophes”.
Sorry – forgot to put blockquote round the first line. Admin can you fix?
I would say the word “catastrophe” sets a very low bar in this climate of fear mongering. Did you again not read what I wrote? Y2k was a serious potential problem that governments and major corporations addressed in a reasonably high profile way. That, with the increasing ubiquity of computers in both the North/West and developed South/West, gave much lesser actors–chancers, scumbags, ignoramouses world wide–every opportunity to amplify “high profile” into fear-mongered panic and couple of years or so of resultant fat profits. What, in that scenario, does not square with your idea of the way capitalism maintains and propagates itself amongst the defective superego class? Since the nightmare scenarios predicted about Y2K didn’t happen, But, to a large extent, it did happen, but on the level of the above reasonable response; just not on the level of the above panicking hype. Wikipedia’s “Year 2000 problem” entry reports that IDC… Read more »
Yes obviously the “catastrophe mileage” of Y2K had effectively evaporated when the fateful date arrived. So it was no longer of any use.
The fear mongering works. I phoned my mum and she was talking about this deadly new virus which, going by her frenzied talk, was The Black Death reborn. She watches TV you see. I don’t. So I had to calm her down. I make a point of NOT watching TV. Sometimes when I visit her – and because she doesn’t have an internet connection – I am exposed to TV reporting and find that my mind has been devolved after a few days. I get back home, visit my regular sites on the net, and start to assume human levels of intelligence again. Once – and once only – I dipped into the TV morass. That was when the Beeb reported the Mirvis attack on Corbyn and followed it up with their own character assassination. Again I could feel the brutal regression taking hold of me. The true contagion comes… Read more »
I regard “Commercial TV” as a “Sewerage pipe” INTO my living room. It is unbearable……
The local MSM presstitute scum are breathlessly reporting that the death toll from the DEADLY disease has risen to 82, from yesterday’s 81.
While money diversions operates a transfer or wealth and to some extent power – that is the least of my concerns. Weaponisation of narrative has its own ‘tipping point’. I see the attempt to invoke power by means of viral fear – under the illusion it can be ‘controlled’. The recent speech given By JFK jr on Merck, Vioxx and HPV in the streets of Albany NY revels how Corporate business works the sick, – and sickens those who fear sickness, and give their trust and power to a very wealthy and powerful system of medicalising human beings under ‘scientific consensus’ (sic) of narrative CONTROL – masking as protection. So yes – call ‘weaponised fear’ for what it is – but be vigilant against the use of martial law under medical grounds as a way to ‘deliver services’. You don’t have to be polarised in the vax efficacy question to… Read more »

So it all depends on the definition of “convenient” in a usage of the word which, in its negatory form and according to some, was coined by Al Gore.
Johns Hopkins have since posted a clarification of the premises of the exercise in relation to “the current novel coronavirus outbreak in China” but they make no further statement on the matter of the convenience or inconvenience of PPPs vis-a-vis pathogenic coronavirus epidemics.
Who cares about the corona virus?
There is an altogether more fearsome pandemic to worry about.
“The global pandemic of anti Semitism.”
Fortunately, the Jewish billionaire oligarch Kantor has teamed up with Shabbos goy Tony Blair to deal with this “pandemic.”
There will now be “extensive surveillance” and “re education programmes” to address any criticism of Israel, which will be classed as “hate speech” and an “aggravated crime.”
So we can all sleep easy now.
I do love that eye-witness description of Blair, as PM, being ordered about, like a lackey, in his office, by ‘Lord” Cashpoint’ Levy, his corrupt bag-man. Says it all, really.
Is Blair still allowed to walk around freely in England? “Weapons of Mass Destruction” was proven? His lies, resulting in the deaths of SO MANY people, Iraqi’s, British Soldiers, American GI’s, Nato troops???, Dr Kelly?
He(and his mate ‘Dubya Bush, and Australia’s own PM at the time, little johnny howard(Be alert but not alarmed) was clearly, A War Criminal, and he still walks around, free as a bird?
When he appeared at the whitewash inquiry into the Iraq aggression and genocide, Bliar lied his head off, AND urged that Iran be attacked, too. They must, if not love, he being a mere goy after all, ‘appreciate’ Bliar’s services, in Tel Aviv.

It’s not only the twerrorists who are coming to get yer, the viruses are also coming for you.
So when you tremble in your cupboard under the stairs, you’ll not only need bottled water and spare batteries for your torch, you’ll also need lots of plasters and a big bottle of Vic’s Vapour Rub.
I’d also advise a bottle of gin, to help you get through all this complete and utter propaganda bullshit.
Obviously, the ‘partners’ see mucho dinero down the road apiece but as the article states, the real issue here is the ‘novel’ RNA vaccine: Going back to the Moderna Inc. website — at the bottom of the press release referenced above, we find a VERY interesting statement, in a section titled, “Special Note Regarding Forward-Looking Statements”: “…there has never been a commercial product utilizing mRNA technology approved for use…” And there you have it. The vaccine that is being tapped by the US government… under its National Institutes of Health…through drug company Moderna…HAS NEVER BEEN USED ON THE PUBLIC BEFORE. IT IS NOT LICENSED FOR PUBLIC USE. RNA VACCINES AND THE TECHNOLOGY THEY USE ARE ENTIRELY EXPERIMENTAL. AND THIS IS THE TYPE OF VACCINE BEING RUSHED INTO EXISTENCE IN 90 DAYS. What in the world could possibly go wrong? One way to find out is to unleash it on millions… Read more »
The only “race against the clock” is by Big Pharma for getting billions of people to buy an anti-Wuhan vaccine. The only threat is that reality might get exposed: 41 dead in China; 6600 dead in USA from flu-like infections. Beware the Yellow Peril. See CDC data on morbidity-moratality from flu-like infections.
Geoffrey, it’s winter in the northern hemisphere, and lots of people get colds and ‘flu’. I use inverted brackets on flu because although many people get ill from severe colds, very few people get flu.
If you get full-blown flu, depending on your state of fitness (not your age – Spanish flu mostly killed young people), most people will be laid out in bed for days, and you will never feel so ill in all your life; and of course many people do not survive full-blown flu.
What’s going on in China seems to be a mild flu outbreak, and thankfully so far only a very small number of people have died (out of the billions who live in China).
With regard to conspiracy theories, the ‘Global Times’ is a mouthpiece of the Chinese government, and this is some of the latest on how they are reporting it…

Reckon it goes beyond money, myself. Another angle to explore (if people haven’t already): — Are the global establishment trying to set in motion their plan of a completely digital centralised world ‘economy’/system but first they need a ‘plausible’reason to make the system transfer happen? Yes, the very top policy-makers in the West and the so- called ‘BRICS’ working together; many people seem to deny this – it is extremely possible: remember history & patterns show the tptb are mostly narcissists/psycho/-sociopaths who like to conspire when it comes to power and like using the ‘Hegelian Dialectic’! This Coronavirus could be the ‘false flag; their ‘psychological operation’ to totally phase out paper money/cash and bring-in their digital system? There have been several MSM articles on how paper money allegedly transfers bacteria/viruses/diseases. Many indicators could show this could be the case? Example: Over the last few years, many different economic forecasters have… Read more »
Re: 5G
Just found an article from today’s date.
Apart from the fact that certain artificial EMF/RF/pulsed frequencies are bad for biological health including impairing human’s immune systems), could viruses themselves (including patented, man-made viruses) increase in ‘strength’ by artificial frequencies like 5G? Would be good to research this…
Excerpt:
“Today, Huawei announced their support for Hubei Mobile and Hubei Unicom to launch 5G base stations in the Wuhan Vulcan Mountain Hospital. As you’ve probably heard by now, the Wuhan Vulcan Mountain Hospital is the building China is trying to build as quickly as possible to fight against the Coronavirus epidemic…”

Actually, you can ‘make’ a vaccine in 6 months OK, what you will not have done is any of the pre-licensing regulatory work. Basic options for a vaccine: 1. Dead virus – you need to be able to manufacture the virus then inactivate it whilst retaining its core features recognised by an immune system. 2. Viral protein vaccine – you need to produce all the relevant viral proteins individually in the lab/factory, formulate an ‘adjuvant’ to make the protein more likely to engender an immune response and then you need to test them to find out which are best. 3. DNA/RNA vaccine – you inject DNA encoding viral proteins which will be produced in the human/animal (in the muscle is the most popular way). Actually creating those prototype ‘vaccines’ is quite quick with modern technology. Nowadays a decent biotech could express every Coronavirus protein predicted by computer to be a… Read more »

Here’s a conundrum. China claims its shut down the Wuhan Tianhe airport, but Flight Tracker radar–at the link–shows it to still be open?
https://flightaware.com/live/airport/ZHHH
The proper term is ‘quarantine,’ which is what responsible government health officials do for a possible epidemic. Quarantines do not necessarily involve shut down, lock down or any of the other terms employed by the organs of state media in the West.
There seem to be some departures today, but no arrivals. Which on the face of it looks like an odd way to do it if the aim is containment?
Those flights may be evacuations of foreigners.

Oh, and yes, there is an image category for ‘the best strip mining equipment’ for lovers of strip mining.
Never mind.
Another reason to add, specially in Australia, is good old China bashing.
I’ ve perused Australian MSM reports re. China for decades, and I cannot recall one, apart from panda pictures and activities of Western Ubumenschen in the country, that was positive in tone. Negative, condescending, contemptuous, arrogant, racist, supremacist, Orientalist etc, all in plenitude, but positive? Not a one. How’ s that for the Free Press.
The U.S./UK/IL/AUSetal have attacked China. Because they can’t nuke them and they can’t get rid of them via ‘regime’ change. A virus for which only you possess a vacination is much more efficient. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Trade War. China is well advised to take blood samples of the violent protesters in Hong Kong to find out if they were vaccinated against this genetically altered virus. And if all of it would simply just be coincidentally, it would be deadly regardless. Death is coming to Earth big time. You better get ready – although there is nothing you can do about it. Carcasses – and thanks for the down votes. Makes it all the more apparent.
For a change the Guardian has a sensibly argued opinion article:
by Thomas Abraham
They dared to open it for comments, for 3 days and running even, a rarity for their ” CIF”.
Was there really a ‘SARS cover-up’, like the one concerning 9/11, or the anthrax attacks at that time, or the USS Liberty, or the real ‘meddling’ in US politics by Israel etc, etc, etc, or was it just a Western propaganda invention, like the ‘Uighur concentration camps’ or ‘the Tian An Men Square massacre’, or ‘Chinese human organ harvesting’, etc, etc, etc?
This piece reminds me of the ill-judged article written here in the short interval between the Iranian airliner shoot down, and the Iranians confessing they’d fucked up…
It really would be better to wait rather than publish something that may well be rendered foolish by subsequent events.
This commenter is either trolling or confused. Unlike many alt news sites, OffG didn’t jump to any conclusions about the Ukraine Airlines tragedy, and didn’t run any such article as the one he claims to have seen here. Here is a complete listing of our recent output on the subject just to make that clear – ed
So how long do we wait before daring to exercise our impertinent criticism? A week? A month? A year? Or how about we just let the “experts” tell us?
I’d refer you back to the airliner piece, and the unfortunate ATL opinion that the Americans had brought it down, hours before the Iranians admitted it.
Ah – now you are simply lying. There is no such piece . We did not, at any time, venture any opinion on what had happened to the airliner prior to the Iranians claiming responsibility, as you well know since we provided a link to our entire output. Well, at least you have outed yourself unequivocally as a dishonest troll, thanks for that – ed
With the early stages of an epidemic, it is unwise to say the media is overreacting, when no-one can have any real idea what will happen.
Lots die of flu every year, but flu isn’t a single disease, it’s many with similar characteristics. This is a single strain.
Please note this commenter is trolling. We did not, at any time, venture any opinion on what had happened to the airliner prior to the Iranians claiming responsibility, and he knows this. We suggest ignoring his dishonest contributions
Note from editor We’re publishing this comment as an illustration of this troll’s dishonesty and bad faith In the Jan 8th piece “Iran shows the world”, towards the end the author writes Iran’s assault on the al-Asad airbase is disproved by the fact the tragedy happened at around 06:10 local time, or at least two hours after the missile attack was concluded. Which doesn’t really make any sense, the reason being, it has been changed. [ Editor: He’s correct, it doesn’t make sense, because he has truncated the quote – which actually reads like this: However claims the plane was hit by accident during Iran’s assault on the al-Asad airbase is disproved by the fact the tragedy happened at around 06:10 local time, or at least two hours after the missile attack was concluded. You didn’t answer my question about how long we wait. We know for a fact that the media spread bullshit and it is only logical to mistrust everything they say. Thus I see no problem with such speculation bearing in mind that even in the (ill defined ) “later stages” we still have to rely on the media to relay info. Therefore it makes perfet sense to carefully examine everything they say and consider all the possibilities.
An epidemic isn’t controversial. It applies neither credit or blame to a country suffering one, so why would there be any bullshit? Incidentally, do you apply your mistrust to Chinese media too, or are they implicitly trustworthy?
An epidemic isn’t controversial but an *alleged* epidemic is. And how intersting that you automatically *assume* it’s an epidemic.
And as for the Chinese media – well this is the old problem: I have to go through *our* media before I get to their’s. And I already *know* our media is full of shit.
They’ve quarantined a whole city. Have you ever been to Wuhan? I have. It’s absolutely enormous, used to be three cities, now combined into one.
You don’t do that, if it isn’t an epidemic. The latest news is that anyone out in public in Hubei province, and Guangdong province, and the cities of Shanghai and Beijing will now be fined if they don’t wear a mask in public..and you think it’s not an epidemic?
Well you might also do that if you were invested in fear-propagation. Bottom line is, unless the numbers are a lie, this alleged new virus has a very low mortality rate and has only produced a couple thousand ‘loosely confirmed’ cases – of which some will probably turn out false positives.
Those numbers are not – as yet – anything alarming or even noteworthy, no matter how much scary music gets added to the soundtrack.
If things change we will update.
You don’t have that time. It goes without question that a pandemic like the Spanish Flu would be much more devastating due to the globalization. Spreading via aircrafts.
But most important, it would be devastating, because the populations have become so complacent and gullible. Vaccination will not save anybody but slow the process and fill the pockets of those out of reach for the infection.
I see you are committing the same fallacy as Cunny above i.e. automatically presupposing the very thing that is under debate.
Actually, the Spanish Flu epidemic was largely spread by soldiers returning from WWI.
Chapter 2: The Spanish Influenza Epidemic Of 1918 Was Caused By Vaccinations

that may or may not be true but it has little to do with how the virus spread.
War results in conditions of great shock, fear, deprivation, struggle, loss, uncertainty and grief, then on release of the ‘war’ does all of that rise up. Post conflict can be a very dangerous and challenging time. Throw in toxic vax experiments, and extremely close quartered and unsanitary camp conditions and result disease symptoms that communicate both biologically and psychically. The whole edifice of virus as the ‘active pathogen’ is a theory that was adopted by established power instead of the pleomorphic findings of such as Béchamp. History is the asserted narrative of the ‘winning side’ in weaponising and marketising of discovery or development. AKA – ‘don’t let truth get in the way of a good story’. Be that profit, power, or fame of self-specialness. The assignment of evil into scientific terms as ‘germs’, bacteria, virus, or pathogens, is the protection and persistence of a priest class or hierarchy of mind-capture… Read more »
I see Binra has answered for himself, while I was trying to get this post past The Cloudflare. I’ll post it anyway, as a ruthless précis:
Binra’s (linked) point is that a specific, Spanish flu virus was, or need not have been, involved. Binra is a Béchampian. World War I soldiers and populations may be assumed to have survived living and dietary conditions far from conducive to optimal physical health.

Of course it depends what you mean by ‘brought down’? If other accounts can be believed, the US fucked up the Iranian radar defences, so maybe a combo of the two? This from Philip Giraldi’s piece:

I’m not sure what the truth is generally considered to be but the evidence clearly shows that the crash was faked meaning that the confession and charges are also fake and that Trump and Rouhani colluded in getting rid of Soleimani. See like link below for evidence of crash being staged.

Hello again, Petra darling. Still doing the Norman Gunstons on your creditility rating, I see. Being the current Rizla girl (“Blow some my way”) has its downsides, I guess. Anyhoo, You will see at https:/img.zeit.de/video/2020-01/6120896283001/imagegroup/wide__1300x731 that De Zeit have moved part of the plane to a different location, probably in Armenia, but the question is why is there no blood on the blade? I think that’s why Trump’s guy is smiling. He licked it off and only got herpes for lunch.
It’s Winter in China, when trees drop their leaves and go dormant. So why do the pics coming out of China that are used to scare the public, show trees with LEAVES? (Scroll down a bit to see those pics)

Pirbright’s livestock coronavirus research – your questions answered
……….The Institute holds Patent no. 10130701 which covers the development of an attenuated (weakened) form of the coronavirus that could potentially be used as a vaccine to prevent respiratory diseases in birds and other animals. Many vaccines are made in this way, from flu to polio. We have not yet developed an IBV vaccine, but research is ongoing.
The Institute is strategically funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, part of UK Research and Innovation (BBSRC UKRI) and also receives funding from many other organisations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The patented work was not funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. More information on The Livestock Antibody Hub which is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is available on our website…………

A new strain of MSM Hysterica broken out recently focusing on China. Where we have seen a mutation of the HongKongenza or Riotus Honkers which spread uncontrollably among the non-fake news outlets across the globe at the end of last year.
The Mutation known also as Batshitcrazy or soupflu has now put at risk the entire news industry. Meanwhile the Memoryholeitus epidemic caused by the riotous behaviour of the French Trade Unions has still to be fully diagnosed and reported on. The cause is thought to have developed from a long standing failure to report on Yellowvest fever that gripped France for all of last year…
There is a Facebook public group called Wuhan Expats if anyone is interested in following the news about the Wuhan coronavirus situation from the viewpoint of foreigners living there. People may ask the group questions but its members are not talking to journalists from Western MSM outlets. A little introduction to Wuhan Expats: Frank Hossack, “Wuhan Expats Fed Up With Foreign Media Hype” (The Nanjinger) “… In the Facebook group, Wuhan Expats, Chris Carr said; “Wuhan has 11 million people, which is around three times my country’s population. Odds of being involved in a road accident in Asia have always been much higher”. Many of the group’s members believe the authorities have been doing all they can. Afzaal Ahmed said, “One of my friend had fever he was afraid of getting virus; the blood tests were done without any cost and he was free to go because the reports were… Read more »
I see the comment was down-voted by a presumed journalist annoyed that I would choose to quote someone with a very Muslim-looking name who was actually allowed by Chinese authorities to attend a university where s/he could receive free food like bread, milk packs and water instead of being booted off to a concentration camp in a satellite black spot somewhere in Xinjiang province.
🙂
The rest of us can’t see who is commenting up or down: special privileges?
It hasn’t spread as much as it might because no one is in work in China at the moment. The streets are silent, no-one is on underground trains because it’s CNY.
If the author is making the point that the western media is playing this up, he should compare it to the Chinese media, whose coverage is nothing less than hysterical. Xi Jinping is on record as describing the situation as grave.
There is no “hysteria” in the Chinese media, why do you lie? The Chinese are taking comprehensive action to prevent further spread in case the virus mutates.
Xi Jinping has told Communist party leaders to “comprehensively mobilise” manpower and resources to fight coronavirus. “As long as we are resolute….we can win the battle of controlling the virus”.
Really hysterical that. Meanwhile the press in my country swings between almost admiring China’s reaction, casting doubt on their ability to build a hospital so quickly, and underlying contempt for collective action….very much like yourself.
Here are the facts: https://www.moonofalabama.org/2020/01/the-coronavirus-no-need-to-panic.html#more
Cunning Stunt lies because that is what he is paid to do, by his MI6, Integrity Initiative or some other Western disinfo apparatus.
I believe he’s a selfish young libertarian with an overblown sense of his own intellect. If he ever has children, he will look back and squirm with embarrassment.
CunningLinguist is a troll. He has posted under different names in the past. We keep an eye on our trolls but don’t interfere unless they become disruptive. Sadly he is becoming so.
Thanks Admin. I had my suspicions. It’s one of those topics where you can’t be sure – but I always start to wonder when a commenter comes in with the “I’ve been to…” or “I’ve lived for years in …” or “I have worked for …”. Admittedly the last one is only suspicious if the job claimed is unlikely as in “I worked for the intelligence agencies” – although that is a bit of a giveaway.
You don’t have a clue, do you? It’s Chinese New Year. Everyone has been working weekdays and weekends before looking forward to some leisure time.
Especially in Wuhan, but all over the country, the coverage is gloomy in an effort to stop people going out, to contain the spread. Social media is on fire and the censors are working overtime.
I’ve no idea how justified it is, but I can tell you this. Nothing, not the Japanese, not the Americans, not HK separatist, or Xinjiang Muslims scares the Chinese people more than respiratory illness.
Nothing? I’ve seen Chinese tourists on their tour trips to the sea – they are scared of learning to swim. 😉
If they were scared of respiratory disease they would not smoke, would not live in polluted environment, would have stopped keeping poultry and pigs and certainly stop killing and eating anything that moves (sometimes not even killing).
The Chinese 1.4 billion are really not going to be affected by even 10 or hundred thousand fatalities from this flu – as they aren’t from all other avoidable deaths.
5 days to the start of our very own self made disaster though is a lot more worrying. Brwahhaxhit the UKs winter flu.
We only know smoking causes cancer and a host of other medical problems because in the west it has been publicised massively. That is only just starting to happen in China. Many don’t make the connection.

My apologies. I put this link further up in this thread, without knowing that you put the link here.
This board gets attacked so much that I often find it difficult to access and follow the various comments.
From what I’ve read about this this virus is serious but isn’t particularly contagious at the moment — its the potential to mutate to a contagious strain that is attracting so much attention. What our media is reacting to is not the virus so much as the way the Chinese are working to identify contacts, contain outbreaks and generally stop the thing from spreading.Part of their containment strategy is to shut down travel from the epicenter of the outbreak and to provide isolated treatment facilities (“building a new hospital”) for people who are suffering from it. This may be an overreaction — we certainly couldn’t muster the resources and the same level of public consciousness in this time frame (we’re having enough problems with anti-vaxers) but its quite possible that they’re testing out strategies for use in the future should something really contagious break out.
It’s not serious. Only four hundred people have died out of a population of about 1.5 billion – you often have to repeat the population of China, and you have to wrap your head around what ‘billions of people’ mean.
It’s all total nonsense; but that’s not to say that this latest winter flu outbreak might get very nasty; particularly if you live in the western world and have no real health service.
You believe all the crass propaganda, and you vote for these A-holes.
Every mention of this disease is prefaced by the local presstitutes with the epithet ‘deadly’. Like robopaths programmed by their Masters. Oddly enough, for the local blackfellas, ‘deadly’ is a great compliment.
In 2015, a patent was filed by The Pirbright Institute for the live, attenuated coronavirus. The application claims that the new virus could be used to create a vaccine for treating or preventing respiratory viruses. The patent was awarded in 2018.
The Pirbright Institute is currently funded by the UK Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs, the WHO, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
In November of 2019, collaborating with the World Economic Forum, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation hosted “Event 201” where they ran a simulation of a coronavirus pandemic.
So much casually-repeated Chicken Little nonsense going on here. Look, every virus has the ‘potential’ to mutate. But until it does it’s fine. This strain of coronavirus is producing a mild flu. It’s no more likely to mutate and turn deadly than all the regular flu viruses no one us currently panicking about.
This is a deliberately created scare in which the Chinese are clearly involved. Let’s call it like it is and refuse to get stampeded
The Chinese are only ‘involved’ in being the objects of another Western propaganda hate-campaign, and, possibly, a bio-warfare attack.
‘Potential to mutate’ means that the US has a more deadly strain waiting for use, now or later, in Fort Detrick.
IT IS INDISPENSABLE TO… UTTERLY EXHAUST HUMANITY WITH DISSENSION, HATRED, STRUGGLE, ENVY AND EVEN BY THE INOCULATION OF DISEASES, BY WANT, SO THAT THE “GOYIM” SEE NO OTHER ISSUE THAN OUR COMPLETE SOVEREIGNTY IN MONEY AND IN ALL ELSE.” Protocols of Zion

Just like Rob I love it too! There’s always a good one – like the narwhal tusk in the London Bridge incident.
Let’s put it this way:
As a result of Ian Duncan Smith’s Universal Credit ‘ Initiative ‘ 130k people topped themselves.
I honestly am an aethiest but would be willing to believe in a God if only he/she /it would take that aout.
And |Blair with him.
Then again me and Paul Weller have always been idealists .
Not all were suicides, but all were the result of deliberate Tory policy. And lots more to come.
7,000 Americans have died of influenza this season and that’s not newsworthy? And 142,000 Americans died due to drug use in 2016, but that’s not news, either
But 40 Chinese–all born during WWII, malnourished and carrying a heavy disease burden–have died from a novel virus and that’s an epidemic?
China’s Public Health Service is probably the most efficient on earth, which is why Chinese children will live longer, healthier lives than their American contemporaries. But that’s not news.
No it isn’t. Labyrinthine rules prevent most people actually using it (you can only get free health care in the city, not the province) that holds your household register. In practice, that means unless it’s really serious, you go the Chinese medicine route (quackery, but cheap), rather than return to your home town.
When one experiences the standard of public health care in China, it makes you wonder why taxes are so high.
The effectiveness of its Public Health Service is best judged by its effectiveness, not its convenience.
….and it wouldn’t compare well to the NHS then.
One example, fags are 5RMB for a pack of twenty, and you can smoke in most places. Any prohibition is mostly observed in the breach.
Cancer rates are sky high.
Racist hatred and lies is such a sign of Western supremacist shit-kickers, like you.
Lies? How much were ciggies the last time you bought them in China?
As opposed to the American (and soon to be British) medicine route of quackery but extortionate.
And there are the epigenetic effects of starvation, disease and terror inflicted on previous generations, prior to Liberation in 1949, to be taken into effect too.
Epidemics are good for business. Pharmaceutical business, inducing fear business, shutting down travel business, diverting the public from key events business, surveillance and quarantine business, and so on.
I’m sure, at some point, there will be THANK YOU, CHINA, BUSINESS, too. Thank you, China, for your rule by iron fist over the population. Your ability to stop anyone for any reason and test for “the virus” may have saved the planet from an extinction event. Freedom? Forget it. Public safety is the ace in the deck. It wins every time. Hell, we may need a good epidemic in the US, so we can exert more control over the unruly citizenry. The doctor is king. Do what he says. Always. How many goy vaccines are there now? Take all of them scum .

Of course the capitalist ghouls will do what they do, exploit and profiteer, but at base this is yet another exercise in China-hatred and civilizational dread of the LOATHED other. I heard a BBC broadcast last night, with an American presstitute, another Yank and an amiable Chinese interlocutor, which was full of paranoid loathing and vicious speculation, and the BBC feminazi presstitute host was almost hysterical in her hate and fear-peddling. This is visceral for the Western ‘Gods Upon the Earth’. Anything that harms the civilizational enemy is grist to the propaganda mills, and the racist condescension and contempt is undisguised.
Perhaps it is but China has to be in on it too, don’t they? I think we can infer from the very obvious signs from aspects of this pandemic not adding up that this is a complete hoax and that no one alleged to have suffered or died from the virus actually did. The people lying on the ground in the twitter video in Kit’s article look staged to me.
For once we totally agree with each other. China is clearly playing on the same side as the West on this, for reasons we can only guess
For the same reasons that the Soviet Union congratulated the USA on the success of its Apollo “missions to the moon”, the same reason that present day Russia goes along with official narrative of the US and other western countries’ false flag terrorism (at least those events that don’t directly indict Russia like the Skripal business). In other words a balancing act between opposition and complicity depending on what those higher up the food chain demand, perhaps?
The BBC presstitute was Celia Hatton, almost shrieking at times.
We should all be aware that the pharmaceutical and education industries went full on a hundred years ago already.
The foundations and trusts are nothing more than a high functioning con game.
I expect China will be in the lead to develop and manufacture the necessary drugs faster and cheaper than any.
Stuff big pharma get it from Alibaba for next day delivery!
You’re bang on the mark with that.
But you are obviously quite mad to question the orthodoxy and you obviously need tranquilizers.

My wife has just recovered from her first ever bout of flu – I have never had flu and neither had she and we are in our 70s. We pinned it down to an infection at a Christmas party when a relative was very sick. Allowing 10 days incubation takes us to 3rd January when my wife first got some ‘cold’ symptoms and a temperature. By Monday 6th January she was very sick with headaches, swollen eyes, ear infections and sore throat. The local GP was so horrified at her appearance; he sent her straight to hospital out-patients where she had antibiotics and external applications for ears and eyes. It took two weeks for the symptoms to subside and she was left deaf for another week and continued external antibiotics. Thus was the worst case of flu that I have ever seen and we are wondering whether it could have… Read more »
Coronaviruses would likely produce milder symptoms than ‘regular’ flu. The mortality rate for flu is about four times higher than this current ‘deadly new virus’
Thank you Admin for your advice – guess it was just ‘ordinary’ flu or what SM says.
Complete nonsense. It’s not worth saying anything more if that is your stance.
How is that complete nonsense? The mortality isn’t being disputed and it’s currently less than an average flu. Why are you being so weird about this, as if your aim is to keep panic boiling by avoiding hard facts of any kind?
“Coronaviruses would likely produce milder symptoms..” You think that is a fact, do you? What is your area of science?
There are several different ones, with different organ specificity. Even within one type there are mutations and variants, as there are with HNs in flu with pathogenicity ranging from near zero to highly dangerous. And I’m weird?
As for panic, I clearly stated that this was a matter for experts, should be depoliticized and not suitable for public debate , or did you not see that? I also said the Chinese acted appropriately, with no help from armchair commentators.
Sounds like she had a virus attack through the sinuses (ear, nose throat) it can be very serious and lead to death if untreated…bad luck but can happen to anyone. (happened to my sister-in-law and daughter very recently) scary but not unheard of. Hope you have a full and safe recovery.
Thank you very much for your good wishes SM – she is indeed on the mend now, but as you say, rather frightening at the time.
I’m glad to read that she recovered Peter.
Many thanks G, for you good thoughts :-)))
The doctors diagnosis wasn’t flu, and definitely not coronavirus or he/she wouldn’t have prescribed antibiotics. These only work on bacteria infection.
It is way too early to come to such conclusions.
Give it a few months.
Virus-hit Wuhan has two laboratories linked to Chinese bio-warfare programme. How secure are these labs which are handling the world’s deadliest pathogens? It’s not just China, there are hundreds of these facilities all over the World. If not now, it’s only a matter of time before something goes horribly wrong.
It is FAR more likely that this virus came from Fort Detrick or some other Western laboratory as part of an inevitable Western bio-warfare attack on China.
Why is that far more likely? Given the massive investment western elites have in China what advantage would they see in releasing a pathogen that might destroy China’s ability to return a profit and have additional disadvantage of potentially killing the elites themselves or at very least crippling their lifestyle.
The US aren’t always the culprits. This is not a morality play with absolute evil versus absolute good. The Chinese can do brutal or stupid stuff too. If the virus is real and as deadly as the scary headlines say (which I highly doubt) then the most likely explanation has to be an accidental release from that oh-so coincidental bio-lab just down the road
The US elites are nearly always the culprits. If not them, then the Israelis. The ruling US and Zionist elites hate and fear China with religious viciousness. They will do anything to ‘ bring China down’.

Or something population-reducing goes horribly right for the global gic (gangsters-in-charge) class, who can see the growing Synergising Global Crises as well as the rest of us, and have the means to manage them for yet more WealthPowerStatus accumulation, like any other event, at the same time that they get rid of some of we excess ‘useless eaters’. I’ve long considered it a likely reality that the gics have been researching means to create deliberate pandemics to order in their biological ‘defence’ labs. Why on earth wouldn’t they, when we consider their psychopathic criminality in general? BTW, it’s worth looking into mega-Vitamin C treatment, for both prophylactic and acute-infection cases, as a long-proven, highly-reliable response to the threats from – amongst lots of others – respiratory diseases. This has been known – and applied quietly by properly-informed doctors – for decades. But of course there’s no patentable hyper-profit in it.… Read more »
If you take megadoses of Vitamin C, then decide to stop, you must taper off. If you go cold turkey you run the risk of a rebound scurvy.
Why decide to stop? Study the – honest – medico-scientific literature about its use; and carry on using. And be still biking (pure pedal drive; no elec-assist) at 79, like me! 🙂
Hard fucking core sir. Hat tip. ✊️
It’s hardly Ebola, is it? It does kill, but isn’t necessarily a death sentence. You’d have to say, it is a piss poor biological weapon, and far more likely to originate as reported, in one of their live animal markets:- an unholy marriage of virus’s from two animals you’d consider inedible anywhere else.
